Tolles Restaurant am Niedersonthofener See. Leckeres Essen mit Blick auf den See.

Es lohnt sich, hier zum Mittagessen einzukehren. Die Preise sind angemessen und die Portionen großzügig. Nach dem Essen hatte ich Lust auf Eis. Ich war ehrlich gesagt positiv überrascht vom Geschmack. Das Eis, das ich in letzter Zeit gegessen hatte, war mir viel zu süß, aber dieses hier war köstlich. Man kann dort auch Kleinigkeiten aus der Region oder regionale Produkte kaufen. Ich kann es nur empfehlen. Es liegt außerdem ganz in der Nähe des Sees.

Coole ,lockere Lokation.Essen war nicht gut , sondern Sau gut.Freundliche Bedienung .Kommen gern wieder ,wenn wir wieder in der Nähe sind.Liebe Grüße vom 10000.Er hat sich gefreut wie Ochs.

Wir waren nur kurz Einkehren auf einer Radeltour. War gut, Kaffee, Kuchen und Bier. Man sitzt gut und fühlt sich wohl.

Ein wirklich gutes deutsches Restaurant mit leckerem Essen, toller Atmosphäre und freundlichen Leuten.

Das Ambiente an einem schönen sonnigen Tag ist einfach wunderbar. Das Essen war fantastisch, der Besitzer sehr freundlich und auch das Personal äußerst zuvorkommend. Die ruhige, grüne Natur rundherum sowie der Blick auf den See machen das Erlebnis perfekt. Sehr zu empfehlen – wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Waren heute wieder mal in der Sonne essen. Das Essen war schlichtweg ein Träumchen. So einen Zwiebelrostbraten haben wir lange nicht mehr gegessen, ebenso die Kässpätzle. Der Kellner außerordentlich freundlich und, obwohl voll war, immer wieder nach dem Rechten geschaut. So macht Essen gehen Spaß ! Gerne immer wieder in die Sonne 🌞übrigens: Qualität der Speisen sehr hochwertig, Tolles Preisleistungsverhältnis ! Großes Lob an die Küche !

Leckeres Aussehen, gute Aussicht und nettes Personal. Im Biergartenzelt war es im März bei ca. 12 Grad Außentemperatur gut zu sitzen.

Hätte nicht gedacht, dass ich hier eine so gute Küche finden würde. Einfach großartig.

Sehr nette, fürsorgliche und kompetente Bedienung. Ist leider sehr selten geworden. Haben wir sehr genossen. Wir waren mit der ganzen Bekanntschaft am Sonntag beim Mittagessen. Die Kinder haben als erstes Ihr Essen bekommen was wir sehr angenehm empfunden haben. Das Essen war lecker und die Portionen groß. Preis Leistung ist sehr gut. Parkplatz direkt am Lokal. Viele Spielzeuge für Kinder auf Terrasse. Sehr schöner Ausblick und sonnige Terrasse. Naheliegend zum Niedersonthofersee.

Trotz der Aussage der Kellnerin dass viel los sei haben wir einen Tisch bekommen, das Essen war sehr gut und der Service wirklich beispielhaft! Bis zum nächsten Mal!

Der Zwiebelrostbraten war ein Gedicht! Perfekt auf den Punkt und sehr lecker und reichlich. Vorneweg eine Festtagssuppe, das hat alles abgerundet. Sehr empfehlenswert, wir waren heute das zweite Mal dort!

Wir waren spontan zum Essen dort. Zum Parken mussten wir uns an die Straße stellen. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr locker in der Sonne und wir mussten uns erstmal zurecht finden 😃 Es gab dort eine Kinderecke, Kickerkasten ohne Kosten, Darts. Wenn einen das oder das Radio stört, ist man falsch bzw. Wenn man eine gehobene Atmosphäre wünscht. Das Essen kam einigermaßen zeitnah nach Bestellung und sah fast zu schade zum verzehren aus. Alles in allem hat es uns dort sehr gefallen 👍🏼👍🏼

We ate there as a family for the first time. We were overwhelmed by the quality of the food. It was delicious and well-priced. And we loved the additional play area for our children. I'll definitely be back!

Service was good. The food didn't appeal to me anymore. I've eaten there on vacation in previous years, but this year I didn't like it. The beer garden has a bit of a party-booth feel, and the side salad has a strange combination.

When we're on vacation here, we usually go for a walk around Lake Niedersonthofen and then stop at the Landgasthof Sonne. The food is very good. The staff is very friendly, competent, and helpful. We always enjoy our stay there.

Both the Alpine schnitzel and the brewer's goulash were excellent. Very tasty and generous portion sizes, perfect for those who are very hungry after a long hike. The Allgäu cheese cream soup is also a treat and highly recommended. The service was extremely friendly, prompt, and very attentive.

A true culinary highlight! Here, the culinary arts are still practiced with heart and soul. Even the starter – an Allgäu cheese cream soup – was a culinary delight. For my main course, I had the "Alpenschnitzel" – and what a surprise! A perfect combination of tender pork loin, creamy mushroom cream sauce, and, to top it off, homemade cheese spaetzle. Absolutely delicious, lovingly prepared, and the service was both attentive and friendly. I can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant!

Despite the large number of guests, the waiters were very attentive, highly engaged, and extremely competent. Kudos to the service! The food was wonderfully seasoned, lovingly prepared, and served with plenty of fresh herbs. The cordon bleu was filled with excellent bacon (or smoked ham?) and Camembert, perfectly breaded and prepared. The herbs made the dish special. The terrace is large and child-friendly. The restaurant is in a great location right on the street, and the atmosphere is pleasant and cozy. The staff was prompt, and orders weren't long in coming. Dogs are welcome; I can recommend this place with a clear conscience.

Because of the good online reviews, I chose this restaurant to have a delicious meal before hiking. When we arrived we thought to ourselves “where did we end up here?”. The location is actually really nice and offers potential for a cozy, rustic restaurant. However, we immediately saw that the facility does not follow any concept. Everything was thrown together wildly, not a welcoming atmosphere. Things continued the same way inside. There are bits and bobs everywhere, there is loud music playing that is reminiscent of Ballermann - totally inappropriate! In addition, we had to wait 45 minutes for our food. Some guests even picked up their own food and put pressure on it. In the end, the food was delicious and the menu had a good selection, including for vegetarians. However, I don't recommend the restaurant.

Went here for lunch today. Totally great furnished guest room with fireplace. Everything made of wood. The food was excellent and prepared with love, especially the food for our son. If we are in the area again we will definitely stop by again.

The Landgasthof Sonnen is located just outside of Waltenhofen on the road and has a great view of Lake Niedersonthofen. In summer you can eat comfortably on the terrace, and on colder days the rustic interior of the restaurant is inviting and cozy. Both create a great atmosphere in which you will enjoy spending longer. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and the food was excellent and freshly prepared. The prices are reasonable, and overall I can only recommend the Landgasthof Sonnen. An ideal place to stop off!

We had dinner at the Landgasthof Sonne and have rarely felt so welcome as a family with a child (4 years old)! The service was very accommodating and friendly! We were taken straight to a table next to a children's play table with all sorts of toys. So while we waited for food and drinks, our daughter was able to play relaxed next to us and bridge the really short waiting time wonderfully. What I have to particularly emphasize is the extreme child-friendliness of the Gasthof Sonne. In addition to the great play area, there was an extra children's menu with a large selection of dishes and there was even children's cutlery, children's plates and napkins (with animal patterns). We have only experienced this in restaurants that are specifically geared towards children. Our daughter felt so comfortable that she didn't want to leave. To eat: My husband had the burger and a small portion of cheese spaetzle, my daughter had the pancakes and I had the vegan beetroot bread dumplings. All dishes were delicious, beautifully presented and the portions were large! I only have one small suggestion for improvement: It would be wonderful if the selection of vegan dishes were expanded a little (including the children's menu). Currently there is only a salad and the dumpling. Conclusion: We were super satisfied and very sad that we only discovered the restaurant on the last day of our vacation, otherwise we would have come by more often.

If a chance visit while driving past becomes a favorite on your personal map, the Landgasthof Sonne in Niedersonthofen must have done a lot right. It starts with the extraordinary ambience, continues with the hearty menu, right up to the exceptionally friendly and attentive service. From A for Alpine schnitzel to Z for onion roast beef, the tavern menu has a lot to offer and all dishes at more than acceptable prices. It's worth a stop here for the whole family because the kids not only have their own play area but also a huge selection of toys. Last but not least, the dishes are also available for pickup.

What a total package! The menu offers a variety of vegetarian dishes and not just the same two standards as usual. The service is outstanding, even the toilets were well thought out (everything from deodorant to period products to sunscreen was available). And best of all: while we waited for our hearty vegetarian delicacies, our child couldn't help but be amazed in the lavishly equipped play area. Anyone traveling with a small child will definitely be happy here! And if you don't feel like the noise of children, you can also find a quiet corner, as the rustic guest room is divided by a wall. I'm thrilled and wish such a complete package wasn't a rarity. Thank you for the relaxing evening 😊

We sat outside in the "winter garden". The service was great and the food was also delicious. I found the atmosphere a bit strange. The fact that there are refrigerators with drinks and all sorts of knickknacks for sale at the entrance somehow doesn't fit with the rest of the ambience of the house.

Definitely coming back! The service is very friendly and accommodating, the food is great and there is no long wait and the desserts are delicious! Our four-legged friends were also taken care of. Not only did we get a drink, but we also got a small bag of dog treats first! You have to expect at least €25 per person but I think the price is very justified for the service and the quality of the food!

We took a little Father's Day trip there today. It was very cozy! The coffee is very good and the cake is homemade. The pieces were huge! Price/performance is very good. The children's ice cream was very nicely prepared and also homemade. What's also great is that there is a children's play area with lots of toys. As well as your own children's menu - to color and keep. This means parents can relax sometimes. Thank you ❤️ Even the four-legged friends are thought of with water and food space😉👍 The service is very quick and nice. Great restaurant - really makes you feel good!!!! Highly recommended 😃👍

If you are curious about SONNE, I recommend a visit - because I can't list everything here that is enjoyable - beautiful - comfortable - tasty and so on, BUT I would like to thank the TEAM for us in this way too.

The food is excellent. Despite the restaurant being full, the cellar was very friendly and accommodating. We felt very comfortable and will be back soon. It is recommended to reserve a table in advance.

Super delicious food and a great play area for children.

The inn is located from Waltenhofen on the B19, exit Niedersonthofen, directly on the country road diagonally opposite Lake Niedersonthofen. Deck chairs in front of the building invite you to sunbathe, and there is a winter garden extension to the old building. Standing in front of the building, it is not easy to find the entrance between all the decorative objects. The interior is divided into several smaller dining rooms, all of which are furnished in a rustic style with lots of wood. The three of us had lunch here. The service was very friendly and quick and kept asking about our or other requests and whether everything was OK, even after we had already had the food. The menu offers good home-style, regional cuisine and a burger menu. The price-performance ratio is very decent and there are also a few vegetarian dishes on offer. A big compliment goes to the kitchen - the food tasted very good. I can recommend the homemade Maultaschen baked with cheese and with potato and cucumber salad - I haven't eaten such good, spicy Maultaschen in a long time!

We had dinner at the Landgasthof Sonne today, January 3rd, 2024. We immediately noticed how child-friendly this inn is. You only see me very rarely. A play area for the kids to play in, so that the parents can eat in peace 😊 super sweet children's meals (with their own children's menu). The food was super delicious. Any time! Tip Top!!!

Super leckeres Essen, mega freundlicher und extrem sympathischer Herr im Service, er hat uns direkt wieder erkannt nach einem Jahr. Preis Leistungsverhältnis super. Lage auch sehr gut, jedoch mit Kindern vorsichtig sein, da es direkt an einer Straße liegt an der manch ein einheimischer etwas flott unterwegs ist.

Wir waren nach einer kleinen Fahrradtour mit unserer Tochter dort essen. Die Kinderkarte war super und dass Essen lustig angerichtet. Das Restaurant ist kinderfreundlich uns unsere Bedienung aufmerksam, trotz vieler Gäste (12.30Uhr) Das Essen ist gutbürgerlich und lecker. Ich fand die Auwahl sehr gut zusammengestellt für die unschlagbare Lage, wo viele vorbeikommen - Wanderer, Badegäste vom See, Mountainbiker, Touristen, Motorradfahrende etc.

Wir wollten nur kurz was essen. Die, in die Jahre gekommene Bedienung, hat uns auf die Bierbänke, die Mitten in der Sonne standen, verfrachtet, obwohl an den schattigen Plätzen alles frei gewesen wäre. Sie meinte nur.. Alles reserviert. Es kam, so lange wie wir saßen, kein Gast. Eine Frechheit. Sie hat wohl was gegen Touristen. Essen war gut
