Hotel Torbräu in München

Terrible service. The bald guy at the front had an attitude and was really rude. Wouldn’t let us use the restrooms and insulted us. Do not go here.

One of the best hotel experiences I’ve had. The room was beautiful with stunning design choices. It was clean, spacious and very comfortable. The elevator was small but quaint and added to the overall charm of the hotel. It is conveniently located near the Viktualienmarkt. If you’re looking for a good cup of coffee in the area I would recommend making the quick walk to “sweet spot kaffee”. I would very happily stay again if I were to return to Munich!

It’s perfectly located. Close enough to walk to major attractions but not super noisy due to carousing crowds. Bonus that there is a train/subway stop super close. My room was quite large and literally had the best shower I have ever had.

I would like to leave a five star review for the hotel and team at HOTEL TORBRÄU. The room was fantastic, the lobby and bar area relaxed and welcoming and with the parking also available out the back it couldn’t have been more ideal for me and my partner. They even accommodated our motorhome and went the extra mile to fit it into the space they have. Daniel was our main contact with nothing but a polite can do attitude which even allowed us to extend our stay during a busy period. Thanks you for our lovely stay, James & Dee

What do you get for €650 per night? A coffin-sized shower that doesn’t drain, in a bathroom with grime collecting in every corner, in a room with awful shag carpet and two single beds jammed together as a mock king, with a window lined with tinfoil and pigeon spikes opening to a neglected courtyard with arches painted on the stucco. Shameful and disgusting. Terrible value for money.

We stayed at this hotel during our stay in Munich and it was a delightful time. The hotel is in old town, making it walking distance to cafes, shops & restaurants. We especially loved the breakfast restaurant at the hotel. It was a bright and cheery way to start the day, as it was quaint and well appointed. The ladies who greeted and served us were absolutely delightful. The room, albeit smaller than what we're used to in the States, was very comfortable and clean. Thank you for your hospitality, Hotel Torbrau!

Ally or Ellie from Hotel Torbrau House was very rude and unhelpful. She did make any attempt at all to help us get a cab. She said due to the parade we had to walk several blocks with our luggage and could try on our own to get a cab or take a train to get to our destination. That was not an option as we had our luggage in tow. My husband walked 1/2 block and was able to secure a cab for us. What kind of customer service is this? She did absolutely nothing to help us. Additionally, Alli sat on her phone and it took a minute for her to acknowledge my presence. Lastly, our shower had very little hot water. Stay somewhere else.

This hotel was wonderful. We were allowed to check in early at around 12:00 after a sleepless night, which was a huge help. The room was spacious, with a lovely old-style charm, and had thoughtful details like snacks, drinks, and even beer in the fridge. Everything was spotless, with toiletries refreshed daily. The location is perfect , very central and close to the station, with cafés and shops nearby. I was worried it might be noisy at night, but it was perfectly quiet. Overall, an excellent stay and one I would happily repeat.

A fairly centrally located hotel near the Viktualienmarkt with a great atmosphere and friendly staff. The rooms are attractive, unfortunately with carpeted floors. Very quiet, with effective air conditioning. The breakfast room is stylish and has a beautiful outdoor terrace. The breakfast is very good. Overall, a highly recommended city-center hotel.

Nice hotel in convenient location in Munich. Can easily walk to most attractions from the hotel.

We loved it here! Hotel Torbräu is a quiet, historic, moderate-sized hotel just outside Old Town Munich. It’s beautiful! The staff is fantastic, the rooms are clean and a good size. The “restaurant” no longer serves dinner, it’s a bar with light snacks. Check in with the bartender for local restaurant recommendations! We’ll be back…. Highly recommend Hotel Torbrau!

Beautiful historic hotel right in the heart of historic Munich. The location is excellent, staff is very friendly. The rooms were a little small for us, but we didn’t spend too much time there so that was alright with us.

We had the suit and how sweet it was. The room was kept immaculate and the service was top notch. The breakfast spread was the best we have seen in Europe so far. Definitely recommend to say here when in Munich. Location is excellent to get around.

Hotel with an excellent location, it is old but that makes the rooms larger (even with a living room) as well as the bathroom. Friendly staff

Our family stayed here over the Christmas Holiday and were not disappointed! The location was terrific... Christmas Markets, many wonderful restaurants, beer halls and shops all within walking distance! An underground train stop is right across the street, with taxis and ubers readily available also. The folks at the front desk were always available to help navigate our travels and were very friendly. Our rooms were very nice, and kept clean each day.

Very centrally located and well staffed hotel! My husband and I stayed four nights including New Years and we were very pleased. The staff is wonderful and we really enjoyed our Jr. Suite (huge bathroom with amazing tub and shower, separate sitting area, etc.). There’s reserved parking (€28) which is very convenient!
