Vegan tomato soup was great and very affordable. I didn't like the bread. Normal service for the country's standard.

There is hardly a better chicken soup (whether with Maultaschen or pancakes) in the city. Thank you for existing. Employees are always very friendly.

We had 2 soups the goulash soup was OK but the vegetable soup was not so good and the people do not speak English, so they do not understand what you would like to have. For the two soups and 2 pieces of bread we paid 21 euros.

Really good menu and great choices of soups. The soups are really quite tasty and are served in a decent amount of portion. We ordered the Chilli con carne and the Goulasch Soup, both were great. Perfect value for money and comfort food on a cold day. I just wish they had a table service for the beer garden as the whole place is really crammed up. Looking forward to trying their other soups

Big line out the front when we first saw it and for good reason. Really tasty soup at a great price. Just what we needed on a cold day. Soup gets served immediately so no need to worry about the line. Staff were nice & friendly as well.

Afternoon:1) sausage soup: sold out. 2) goulash: good, hearty beef and potato soup, not really goulash. 3) chicken broth with noodles: like out of a can. 4) good slice of bread for 0.50. Sign says " best soup in Munich".

Update Always very good! The soup kitchen is located in the middle of the Viktualienmarkt. There are many variations of different soups and dishes. The price-performance ratio is excellent for the Viktalienmarkt. It's self-service, but the soups taste really delicious. There are also enough covered seats. The staff is very friendly and professional. Spending your lunch break in the Munich soup kitchen is a good idea and it's worth it. We'll definitely be back as soon as we're shopping at the Viktualienmarkt again!

When we visit Munich every week, the Viktualienmarkt cannot be missed. The soup kitchen is a must for us. Here you can get delicious food for little money. Sometimes you don't even know what to order. The staff is also polite and nice. All in all. 👍👍👍👍👍

Liver soup to match the rainy weather when I was there. Low key self service and I love it. The soup is tasty and affordable. Around this area, you’ll find so many small stalls offering local goods.

I was in Munich as an “AC/DC tourist” for 4 days. I ate soup here twice to satisfy my hunger pangs. Tomato/basil soup €6.50 ; Goulash soup with beef €7.50. The soups tasted perfect. You sit in the covered, small beer garden and watch the goings-on around it. It's nice here at the Viktualienmarkt.

A bit expensive, but good beer and a nice atmospheric place at the market. The staff wasn't most friendly, and they forgot about our order.

Next to the soup they did not give free semmel or bread. You have to pay additional. The tip should not be an option in this place. I stay in line and get my soup at the pult.The atmosphere noisy and hard to find place . The soup was not bad but nothing special. Münchner kartoffelsoup.

More by chance than purpose, I ended up here in the soup kitchen with a bit of a midday hunger. I can only speak for the potato soup, it tasted very good and the portion size was also okay. The prices are reasonable for the Viktualienmarkt. The people around me also seemed satisfied with their food.

Good selection of soups and standard prices for lunch. However, I had the chilli con carne and it tasted like there is a kilo sugar in it. Maybe that is an exception. But I was not able to eat it. Therefore in general okay, but the dish was really bad. Also the slice of bread was at least a day old.

We enjoyed the tomato and vegetable soup. A great institution to eat a warm, healthy snack in the middle of the Viktualienmarkt and watch the hustle and bustle. One star deducted because the ordering process was very sober, moderately friendly and when paying by card you only have a choice of 10% or more when it comes to tipping. Then I expect at least a “bon appetit” from self-service - but I would come again.

Unclean people work in the kitchen. First, they pick the mouth with their hands, and then they take the plates with the same hands. Ugh.

Furthermore, a good selection of tasty soups and chilis at acceptable prices for the Viktualienmarkt in the middle of Munich. As with other stands, you have to come to terms with the ambience of party tent-like sheds for seating. But a bad habit is also spreading here: When paying with a card, a tip must be selected on the reader before paying. The options are so high at 10-20% that you have to give every guest who gives a small tip or no tip at all wants, makes you feel guilty. Because of this bad behavior, I no longer give tips.

The perfect soup for a cold, wet winters day. We had the beef goulash and vegetable soup, both were very satisfying and delightful. Service was fairly quick, despite the long queues. Basic seats and tables, which is what you would expect for a quick snack/meal. Prices were very reasonable.

Today we had the beef soup with three ingredients twice. It wouldn't have tasted good without salt, pepper and Maggi seasoning. The broth was plain with no flavor. You have to pay attention to that. Try again in the next few weeks.

Whenever I get a little hungry as a Viktualienmarkt fan since childhood, I stop by the soup kitchen, where there are all sorts of delicacies at a decent price-performance ratio, from African-inspired chicken curry to vegan vegetable stews to traditional liver dumpling soup. The catering tent is always full, especially at lunchtime - so you should be prepared for short waiting times.

Als Suppenliebhaber ein muss und man kann sich immer durch verschiedene Suppen, Currys, Eintöpfe durchprobieren. Für mich sidn die Portionen ausreichend und auch für Veganer und Vegetarier ist was im Angebot. Wir hatten heute die Gulaschsuppe + Semmel und die Münchner Kartoffelsuppe + 1 Scheibe Brot

Leider hat mein Essen (Thai Curry mit Reis) das Niveau einer Mahlzeit aus einer Krankenhauskantine gehabt. Zerkochtes Gemüse und trockenes Fleisch, welches in Mini-Würfel geschnitten wurde und dessen Anzahl ausbaufähig war.

Eine echte Institution in München und eins der besten Gastro-Angebote am Markt. Ob im Sommer oder Winter, hier gibt es leckere Suppen und Eintopfgerichte, traditionell oder auch international, dazu feines Brot und kühle, Getränke. Im Winter sitzen die Gäste im von Wärmestrahlern beheizten Zelt rund ums Standl. Gemütlich und preislich in Ordnung.

Una vasta selezione di zuppe caldissime ottime per scaldarsi. Si ordina e si porta via con vassoi per cercare un tavolino sotto il tendone, proprio nel cuore del mercato rionale. Prezzi onesti e clientela sia locale sia turistica, forse il posto migliore della mia visita a Monaco.

Hands down best soup in town. Great place for soup and warm rice dishes. My favourite place to go and it is always crowded with long queue. The prices are unbeatable and the staff are super nice. The flavours are rich and make you satisfied without feeling heavily full. It is a self service place. In general, very decent place to go to. The Menu is changed on a daily basis. My favourites are butter chicken, tikka masala and ginger carrot soup.

This place is really good. They have a good selection of soups at a good price. The line may get long but it moves fast. Be ready to order when you get to the front. Eating is all outdoors so it may be chilly during winter. Worth a visit.

Eines der absoluten Highlights auf dem Viktualienmarkt. Für ein unschlagbares Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis bekommt man eine sehr leckere und sättigende Mahlzeit. Egal ob als schnelles Mittagessen oder Katerfrühstück. Es gibt eine Auswahl an verschiedenen Suppen oder Currys. Selbst wenn die Schlange mal länger ist funktioniert die Selbstbedienung sehr gut und man muss nie lange warten. Mein Favorit und Empfehlung ist auf jeden Fall die Gulaschsuppe mit einer Scheibe Brot!

Hearty, soothing soup was perfect on a winter day. I ordered the pea & sausage soup, I loved how thick it was and full of toppings. Was sooo satisfying. Also had bread with me to dip it in the soup. Would totally come back here again just for that or try other soups. Service is meh but I guess they’re trying to be efficient as there was about a 5-10 min line during a weekday lunch time. They have seating area but it was a tad chilly as it’s technically just in the tent.

Ich hatte eine sehr lecker gewürzte Gulaschsuppe. Aus meiner Sicht allerdings mit zu viel Kartoffel und zu wenig Fleisch.

Wer nach all den Haxn und anderen schweren bayerischen Speisen mal Lust auf etwas leichteres verspürt, ist hier genau richtig. Mit viel Liebe und noch mehr Geschmack gibt es hier ganz hervorragende Suppen zu durchaus fairen Preisen.

Las mejores sopitas de la ciudad. Situado en Viktualienmarkt, cierran a las 18h. Tienen bastante variedad de sopas, todas muy ricas y que te hacen entrar en calor en los dias más frios de la ciudad. Muy recomendable!!

Es ist einfach immer lecker und gut Mittags in München auf dem Viktualienmarkt eine der schmackhaften Suppen zu genießen. Die Suppenküche besuche ich fast immer, wenn ich zu Besuch auf dem Viktualienmarkt bin. Sehr zu empfehlen die Suppen auch mit Brot.
