From the outside, it's rather unassuming and not very inviting. But once inside, it's completely authentic and lovely. The food is very good, the portions are generous, and the hosts are very friendly.
The lunch menu is also a big plus.
We stayed for three days and were absolutely delighted. The nurses were incredibly friendly and attentive, leaving nothing to be desired. Breakfast was excellent, and we had everything we needed. It was incredibly peaceful.
In short: We'd go back anytime.
A wonderfully cozy atmosphere. The staff is incredibly friendly and the food is simply fantastic; I've never eaten such delicious pretzel dumplings, and the onion roast beef was also superb! Highly recommended!
The doner kebab is quite good now; it used to be rather mediocre.
My problem, however, is the unreliable staff.
When I order something for pickup by phone in advance, it's because I want to pick it up quickly (e.g., during my lunch break).
When I'm given a time for pickup, and I go to the shop at that time and it's obvious they haven't even started preparing the order, I really wonder what they're thinking. I order in advance precisely so I DON'T have to wait another 10 or 15 minutes in the shop...
We came on the recommendation of a guest who had been here several times before. Otherwise, we probably wouldn't have gone to a Greek restaurant in Upper Bavaria. The food was really delicious, cooked to perfection. The service was attentive and quick.
The ambiance is rather austere for Upper Bavaria/Mediterranean. It's a large room with relatively hard surfaces, so it's rather noisy.
Overall, we were very satisfied.
Dear Readers,
I should preface this by saying that I don't usually dine at Michelin-starred restaurants, but everyone is naturally capable of eating and possesses the necessary senses.
Here is my assessment:
Ambiance: Clean, bright, and relaxed. Uncluttered and without unnecessary frills, yet a warm and welcoming place.
Service: From the moment we arrived until our departure, we felt very welcome and well cared for. We received excellent advice and support at all times, and were always discreetly assisted. We felt truly valued as guests in a very friendly and warm atmosphere.
Many thanks to the entire team. The owner, however, remained, as is so often the case, virtually invisible.
Food:
Yes, the food was presented in a small but exquisite way, a delight for both the eyes and the palate, without going into detail about each of the seven courses and intermediate courses. In this respect, with the friendly team and the understated ambiance, it was definitely a Michelin-starred dream.
Of course, there's always room for improvement.
I had hoped for a more immersive sensory experience with the food. The nose and bite were a little too subdued for my liking, as if they were taking a break that evening.
The interplay of contrasting textures was very well-balanced, perhaps intentionally so. The aromas and scents were also very subtle and understated, which is certainly due in part to my being a former smoker.
A bit more fragrant excitement on the plate would have been welcome, in my opinion.
A little more "wow" wouldn't hurt.
That's all I'll say.
All in all, a pleasant evening with a fun-loving team – thank you so much!
A perfect place, a lovely atmosphere, friendly service, only my meal (a cordon bleu) was disappointing.
(The meat and preparation weren't up to the quality I expected for the price.)
If you often order the same dish at different restaurants, you naturally have something to compare it to.
Without the food, the visit would have been perfect.
Still recommended, perhaps next time with a different dish...
