Their food isn't the best. Unfortunately, they're the only Arab restaurant (an Arabic shawarma restaurant) in Würzburg, and they know it well. They haven't expanded their menu, nor have they improved the quality of the food, despite receiving a lot of negative reviews and comments on Facebook, which they naturally ignore. In summary, not recommended.
Really good food, very traditional Mexican, I would definitely never be able to make it like that at home. It's definitely worth going to a restaurant for that.
Dominik is super charming, attentive, and brings a wonderful South American flair right to the table.
Thanks for the great evening! Next time we're in Rothenburg, we'll definitely be back!
Until then
We ordered through Lieferando. When the food arrived, we were surprised that the meager salad had shriveled up and looked very unappetizing (€8.90!). After five minutes, the delivery person rang again and said he had to take the salad back because it wasn't good. We received no compensation, neither a new salad nor a refund. Only the offer of a new salad with our next order. That's unacceptable! We weren't told why the salad wasn't good. After the delivery person had already left, we discovered that half of the salad we ordered was lying in the driveway. We've never experienced anything like that before!
The rest of the food was also not good. The naan bread tasted stale, and the other dishes were completely tasteless.
Never again! We'll probably be stuck with the €8.90.
The place is great, we played some bowling, then some kicker, and sadly they wouldn't let our kids play darts, and they are not even those with metal ends.
Then dinner was ok, the burgers we ordered were a bit too cooked, but otherwise delicious.
The only problem is that we also ordered a pizza and that took 30min more to arrive than the burgers. It was also too salty.
They offered to compensate with one coffee for the delay.
It seemed they were completely understaffed for the amount of people in the restaurant this evening.
Update 15-10-2025: Burgers are thinner and thinner every time we come back. And again, mine was too cooked again.
Nice bar, but rude, rezzist staff toward Italians. They don't want to show you the price list so they can steal your money. All without a receipt. A shot of Jager costs €10?
The food is amazing, the best ramen I've ever had. The atmosphere is very cozy and authentic. The owner is incredibly friendly! I would highly recommend it to everyone.
Were it not for the cozy ambiance of the lovely dining room and cellar, this restaurant would deserve exactly zero stars.
In short: poor-quality ingredients, prepared into tasteless dishes, sold at exorbitant prices.
For example, the tagliatelle with bacon, mushrooms, and chicken (what a combination!). The bacon was unidentifiable and tasteless. The real kicker was the "mystery meat," which was supposed to be chicken, but had absolutely nothing to do with chicken in terms of texture or taste. It came with a bland tomato-cream sauce. It could be so much better. The gnocchi were definitely cheap convenience food, and the sage butter was poorly prepared. Boring and tasteless.
The service was very pushy and constantly asked if we wanted anything else. This was annoying and disruptive.
Apparently, some restaurateurs in Bayreuth think they can get away with anything when there's no competition.
Not recommended.
We've been a Bambus customer since day one and have mostly been very satisfied. We moved from Rosenheim five years ago and still drive the nearly 15 km every now and then. However, it's becoming increasingly apparent that the quality is suffering due to the high demand. Today we ordered takeaway food: two hot dishes and sushi. The prices have risen significantly, as they have everywhere else, and the portions are getting smaller and smaller. Especially the rice as a side dish with the duck today... was almost cheeky. And rice really doesn't cost the earth. Instead of avocado, as stated on the menu, the sushi had cucumber. There's also a noticeable visual difference compared to before...
It doesn't affect the taste much, but it's the overall look that counts.
Unfortunately, not quite as happy as we used to be...😔
