The food was very tasty, the staff were very friendly and it was a nice clean, comfortable restaurant. The price was reasonable, better cheap but expensive, somewhere in the middle and I found it reasonable for the quality. Overall I was satisfied with everything and would definitely recommend this restaurant to others. Thankyou.

The restaurant is a wonderfully exotic surprise in Prien. Spoiled by the cuisine of my hosts after a week's stay on site, our expectations were high. But it was fulfilled in full. Great food on offer, it was difficult to choose: once a tandoori grill plate, then a grilled chicken and I ordered fish with fresh vegetables. The taste was pure here. We were thrilled! The sauces are hearty and delicate, the vegetables are crunchy, the meat and fish are all cooked or grilled to perfection. Not to forget the fruity Indian white wine. A first for me, but one I would love to do again and again. The very courteous, friendly service was also very positive. The first restaurant visit in the new year 2025 was a complete success! What more could you want? Only the personal visit from the chimney sweep early in the morning topped it!

Obwohl ich dieses Restaurant nun schon seit vielen Jahren kenne, war ich beim letzten Besuch sehr enttäuscht. Das Restaurant war nicht gut besucht, was wohl auch am aktuellen Weihnachtsmarkt in Prien gelegen hat. Trotzdem hatte ich mich auf die mir bekannte offene und freundliche Art des Chefs und seiner Frau gefreut, nichts dergleichen. Das Essen war fad, dass heißt, überhaupt nicht gewürzt, so dass ich es extra nachschärfen musste. Schade. Ich hoffe, dass mein möglicher nächster Besuch erfreulicher wird.

Ganz spontan haben wir uns entschieden indisch essen zu gehen und es war eine sehr gute Entscheidung! Wir waren leider kurz vor 14 Uhr da.. hat trotzdem sehr gut geklappt Das Essen war super lecker, Personal sehr kompetent und freundlich . Ist nur fast zu weit weg. Aber werden auf jeden Fall noch mal hinfahren, ist sehr zu empfehlen!!

The food is delicious. A very good selection. The meat is juicy and very tasty. The portions are sufficient. It's a shame that we're only on vacation in the area, otherwise it would be my new regular restaurant. The restaurant is beautifully and comfortably furnished. The service was friendly and attentive. We felt comfortable and are satisfied. Free parking is available on the street in front of the restaurant. Everything perfect.

We really like eating Indian food and therefore know a lot of Indian restaurants, especially in Munich. We have already ordered food here three times or eaten there. This was by far the worst Indian food I have ever eaten. The spinach with homemade cheese was probably something like the famous igloo spinach with blubb from the freezer. Everything tasted like a gas oven or a burnt pan. In my opinion, the butter chicken was a spaghetti tomato sauce that must have lost any Indian flavors - if any were added. Ditto for spinach. Overall, neither the cool hospitality - which I have always experienced differently in Indian restaurants - nor the food convinced me to ever order here again. In my experience it has nothing to do with Indian.

I have eaten Dal Makahni many times and I have to say that I have had the best ever served here. The restaurant is nicely decorated, the service is very friendly and attentive. Right at the beginning you are served lentil flatbreads with typical Indian sauces. I can fully recommend the restaurant!

The restaurant is quite nice. Unfortunately, the window sill at our seat wasn't very attractive, with a stack of napkins and other junk. There was also a dirty plate at the beginning - it was replaced upon comment. The waitresses were very nice. The menu is very good, with a large selection. The food was also very good.

Naan definitely too small to its price, when I go to Indian restaurant I expect to it Naan worth its money.

We were hungry and money. So the four of us went to eat there. The waiter came, took the order and left. The drinks came first. The appetizer to go with it. Everything okay. But my wine and water weren't there. The food tasted good to everyone. 5*. The second beer came quickly. We only managed to eat everything with difficulty. There was a lot and very tasty. The ordered invoice then had to be corrected. Ordered, booked, but not received. With drinks you hardly need any technical skills, but there is usually a 400-450% surcharge. Why do you forget to serve these to the paying guest? We would come again. Tasty and good. The price is also OK. Thanks. Our recommendation

Personal kurz angebunden und wirkte dadurch unfreundlich. Das Essen war ok, eher durchschnittlich- ich selbst habe einen Indisch Kochkurs besucht und das Essen war kein Vergleich zum Kochkurs - Standard Soße für alles die angepasst wird. Fertigdip zu Beginn mit Brot - ein selbst gemachter Dip wäre hier auch schöner. Bei uns als Gast wurde über andere Gäste beschwert. Das ist nicht zu empfehlen. Wir hatten das Glück, dass wir frisches Besteck bekommen haben. Bei einem anderen Tisch wurde dieses von den vorherigen Gästen zwar nicht benutzt, jedoch sicherlich auch mal angefasst o. Ä., dann auch noch weiterverwendet für die nächsten Gäste. No Go!: Als wir gegangen sind wurden die Platzdeckchen (wohlgemerkt eh aus Papier und ein Einmalprodukt) sowohl Tisch mit der benutzten Serviette von meiner Frau abgerieben anstatt ersetzt! Meine Serviette kam beim nächsten Gast auf den Teller. Hatte sie benutzt aber nicht auseinander gefaltet. Meiner Frau ist etwas unter den Tisch gefallen, als sie es aufgehoben hat, sah sie unter der Bank extrem viele Spinnweben deutlich und wirklich sauber sah es da nicht aus. Allgemein ist die Hygiene hier verbesserungsbedürftig- frisches Besteck, frische Servietten und frische Platzsets sind einfach ein Muss. Wir fragen uns, ob übrig gebliebener Reis entsorgt wird oder…bei uns im Reis war etwas drin, was nach essen von einer anderen Speise aussah (rot), nicht von unserer Speise.

Forgot to deliver bread, but paid for it. When a subsequent delivery was made, I got a cute answer (a woman): You don't need to order from us if you don't want to. Conclusion: Never again. Food was really not good, jazzy and drenched in fat (starter for two). The whole thing was in June 2024

Food very good. A blonde lady caught without change during the delivery service for the second time. The first time we were supposed to go to the gas station and have money exchanged. We refused because the food would get cold in the meantime. The second time she drove to the gas station and cheekily said that if we didn't like it, we shouldn't order anything. What kind of way is this?

There again yesterday and very satisfied! The mango 🥭 rice 🍚 dish is extremely delicious! very good Indian restaurant in Prien! The dessert, we had a mango cream, was also excellent. The host was extremely accommodating, entertaining and fulfilled special requests.

If you're really hungry, you won't go home full. Portions aren't exactly big. Uncomfortable and unkempt beer garden in which there is a lot of junk that actually belongs in the cellar. Withered plants and dried out flower pots. Not very inviting. The food was ok, but nothing special.

Fisch Pakora und Onion Bajhi waren super. Garnelen an Mango Safran Sauce war gut, mir aber zu süss. Mit der scharfen Sauce meiner Frau, aber richtig gut. Auch meine Frau war zufrieden mit ihrem Huhn. Knoblauch Nan war ebenfalls gut. Mit ausreichend Wein und Bier 90€. Wir überlegen, heute nochmals hinzugehen...

Our favorite restaurant in Prien! We are 2 adults and 2 children and we all found it very tasty. We discovered Maharaja during our last summer vacation and ate here again this summer. The children loved their butter chicken dish, we parents ate a lamb and a vegetarian dish. Everything tasted very good and the portions were filling. The Mango Lassi was particularly good, which the children and obviously many other guests also enjoyed. On Tuesday evening, during the summer holidays, the restaurant was busy, which is why a table reservation would be recommended. Thank you very much, we would love to come back!

Quite okay. Friendly and good selection

We were there 3 times on vacation, mixed experiences. The first time we were forgotten, food itself was good but came very late (45-50 minutes). The second time we came earlier, less busy, that was the best visit. On the third visit to end the holiday late at 9 p.m., it seemed as if the motivation was gone: no papadum was served with the 3 dips, some of the vegetables from the paneer tikka were still raw and it seemed as if the kitchen had run out of vegetables (it had on the second visit Paneer Tikka a good selection of vegetables). Long waiting time to pay because cleaning up the dishes is more important, no farewell drink like the two visits before and all the other guests. No demand for satisfaction. Attention and customer friendliness can be better implemented here.

I've always enjoyed ordering there, but for about six months now it's only been as an "emergency solution", including today. Delivery time over 1.5 hours, called after 1 hour and asked. The answer was unfriendly that there were only two drivers and there was a lot going on. Then just hung up without another word. Some time later the doorbell rings and two now cold dishes are handed to me. One meal lacked a lot of spices (very unusual, especially for Indian cuisine). Then I'd rather drive out myself and get something at the gas station.

We waited over 1.5 hours for our food via delivery service. After 1 hour we called and was told 5 more minutes and just hung up. The driver didn't have any change so we had to give a tip of almost 10 euros. We will therefore never order again.

Hatten über Lieferando bestellt. Essen war sehr heiß. Das war leider das einzig positive. Wir hatten extra vermerkt ohne Pilze. Das wurde total ignoriert und es waren welche drinnen und der Reis schmeckte irgendwie muffig... Die Sauce schmeckte ziemlich fad, was wir von der indischen Küche eigentlich nicht gewohnt sind. Schade. Wir waren im Urlaub in der Nähe und werden dort leider nichts mehr bestellen beim nächsten Mal.

We had a fantastic meal here, it smelled fantastic when we walked past it in the afternoon. Everything fresh and very tasty, especially the Byriani mix was great! If we come back to this area we will definitely eat there again!

Food itself was delicious. But the service is not that friendly. We had to wait 10 minutes for someone to come and take the order, even though there wasn't really much going on. The food came relatively quickly, but we were not given any cutlery. We had to go in first so that the cutlery could be brought to us. Portion was also small for the price. Wherever it came to payment, we gave tips. Normally you say thank you and goodbye. None. Neither thank you nor goodbye was said. Personally, I think that's really bad. Service is not a priority here!!!!

The food was just ok, not really the best Indian restaurant I’ve visited. The prices are also the same like in Munich except from drinks. A beer 0,5ml costs 3€ which was cheap. The location is good, because it’s on the way to the train station.

Excellent welcome at Maharaja We visited with friends during our weeks holiday in Prien- we were so impressed with service and food we came back for our final meal Highly recommended- all dishes were delicious and poppadoms and naan breads v good. One of our group was gluten free and he was catered for

I am an Indian and can confidently say that I had some of the best tasting North Indian Food(Kadhai Panner) here and as well tasty Biryanis 😋. Would highly recommend going there to anyone visiting the place.

I was very impressed by the Indian restaurant in Prien. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. Particularly noteworthy is the friendly and attentive service. I can highly recommend this restaurant.

We were passing through hotel and we tried this hotel. We ordered Palak paneer. As its mittag Essen they were serving soup/salad and after dish dessert together with food. We had good taste experience. We didn’t order much as we were already full. After meal the lady there offer us coffee which we denied but we found there were many options for after dish so we decided to have Vannila ice and she agreed without further questions or explanation. Afterwards when we done with Vannila ice they charged us extra 6.40 EUR for it. Now there is a problem we faced so far. 1. First Lady didn’t clear that it’s in menu but it’s not for free. 2. She didn’t come to us for serving, when we reach to them on reception she just given us eis without single question again. 3. And when we cleared things about charge, rather than apology they were clarified that we didn’t had drink, we had big portion of ice and because of that we had to pay. I mean mistake happens but such bad behaviour with customers is really not acceptable. Will avoid such hotel in future for any cost. Edit/reply to owner: we were not hungry. We just wanted to have 1 person to lunch. Which also just for trying the food. In future, for such case please ask people to leave your place in case if they are family and just 1 person to have meal in your restaurant.(as you can not force them to have meal but feel bad by heart that they didn’t order much. We can’t earn much…) Food is not everything. Keep in mind your such attitude can also matter. Thank you so much for everything and showing your dignity with customer

Cozy quiet place with a wide selection menu. Probably our choice was not good. Mango curry duck tastes good because of a mild mango sauce, but the duck breast is dryish. Curry duck with vegetables is too spicy, duck is dry as well. Would like to note the service, we were welcomed just before closing time and still were served nicely.

The food was really tasty, I've eaten with many Indians before but never so good and extraordinary. The curry sauce and mango cream were amazing and the duck was not dry but still crispy. I can only recommend it.

Atmospheric and cozy. This is a fact. With food - as luck would have it. I took spinach in a sauce with ginger and paneer from the vegetarian option - it was very tasty! And others took duck with mango/curry - the duck turned out to be rubbery and with some veins. Everything is served with rice. So, I put 5 for the food, 3 for the company, we agreed on 4 points, plus it was cozy in the restaurant. Regarding service - also a question. It was not easy to communicate in German. The staff asked many times, it was difficult to give any advice. A bottle of Prosecco. I asked if there was an option to try it separately before buying a bottle. The answer is no. Neither paid nor as a tasting. It was the first time, usually in other institutions they bring. And already when I ordered a beer and I asked for a glass of something with bubbles - they brought me Prosecco in a glass!) When asked if it is different from what is in a bottle - no, the same)) I wish the institution prosperity!
