Cevicheria Pez in München

Beautiful location, very attentive service and fabulous food.

I've been living in Monaco for a year, and there are few restaurants where I can say I've eaten truly well, and Chevicheria Pez is one of them. Excellent ingredients, a masterful chef, and attentive, fast, and friendly wait staff who know how to advise and make guests feel pampered! We'll definitely be back!

For me, as a Peruvian, the ceviche was very poorly seasoned, and the price was completely outrageous! Paying almost €60 for two ceviche appetizers, a water, and a small beer is simply unacceptable! Even for Munich!

Having lived in Peru, I've eaten ceviche many times, so I was all the more pleased when I heard about this cevicheria. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed; I've never eaten such tasteless ceviche before; it almost seemed as if the presentation was meant to distract from it. The quality of the fish was rather mediocre, and the price and portion size were bordering on outrageous. We had been promised a table until 8:30 p.m., but at 7:40 p.m. we were forced to pay. The worst experience at a restaurant in Munich in years. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this place.

The ambiance and service are very pleasant. The food is good, freshly flavored, but vastly overpriced. If I have to eat something at home after two main courses for €60, something's just not right! The fact that we couldn't pay for almost an hour and had to run to the ATM because the card reader refused to work is simply a one-time technical glitch...

Great service, great food, pleasant atmosphere - gladly again

A lovely restaurant in a quiet corner of Schwabing, perfect for outdoor seating. The service was warm and attentive. The menu offers many creative, top-quality ceviche dishes – the octopus trio was a particular highlight. The king oyster mushroom appetizer was interesting, but a bit too acidic for me. The "Leche de Tigre" (ceviche "sauce") was very well-balanced. The drinks, such as the sweet potato spritzer and corn drink, were also a pleasant surprise. Dessert (cheesecake with guava sorbet) was very tasty, though a bit thick in texture. Overall, a very enjoyable experience, about €80 per person – we'd be happy to come back!

€9 for a bottle of sparkling water? A bargain… if it came with a gold straw. And the €16 cocktail? Tiny, weak, and gone faster than the waiter who brought it. The main dish was as exciting as boiled cardboard — bland, overpriced, and completely forgettable.

Visit on May 10, 2023: I really liked the facility. The service wasn't particularly friendly, but OK. I found the (presumed) restaurant manager arrogant. The fact that, according to the homepage, it is the only ceviche restaurant in Munich is not entirely true: you can also eat this Peruvian specialty elsewhere. Photos of the restaurant and outdoor area are also missing. The Thai ceviche (salmon with coconut foam, Thai basil pesto, kumquat and togarashi) was good, but way too little for €19.90. I certainly won't go there again. *************** Post from 2020: I waited for the written reservation confirmation for days and in vain despite a reminder from quandoo about the restaurant and therefore canceled it again. There were only 15 people...the "Cevicheria Pez" seemed to be doing well, so there was no need for such a group size. Or did you want to save the commission to quandoo?

We had a lovely evening with four people. The cocktails were very good, as were the starters and main courses. The food is highly recommended. The service was friendly, but uncoordinated and disorganized. We sometimes had to ask for food and drinks several times because the waiter had forgotten them.

For me, this is the most interesting restaurant in Munich. The flavors are incredible, truly bold and authentic, just like in Peru! Thank you so much, see you soon! ❤️

Alles war wirklich extrem gut. Frischer Fisch, Meeresfrüchte, super gewürzt, auch die Drinks waren sehr gut. Aber am Ende ist es doch recht teuer, wenn man satt werden will: nicht bei allen Ceviches ist Südkartoffelpüree oder Reis dabei. Also alles in allem toll. Aber selbst für Schwabing (wir wohnen hier) preislich gehoben. Ansonsten würden wir 5 Sterne geben.

Sehr schönes Lokal mit aussergewöhnlich freundlichem Personal. Das essen war super lecker und der pisco Sour hervorragend!

Seit Jahren sind wir nun schon Gäste und es ist jedes Mal ein Genuss. Die Vorspeisen sind absolut fantastisch – so lecker, dass wir sie uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen können. Die Qualität ist stets konstant hoch, was in der Gastronomie wirklich beeindruckend ist. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir auch den Service – einfach umwerfend sympathisch! Man fühlt sich immer willkommen und gut betreut. Und last but not least: Der beste Pisco Sour der Stadt! Den kann wirklich niemand toppen. We came to the cevicheria pez this weekend because we love Peruvian food. The result was even better than expected: the place was elegant, super well decorated. The food is extremely good and they mix original flavours and the waiters are extremely polite and welcoming! I really recommend you to eat here if you want to have a super experience! We'd been there a year ago and had completely forgotten how good it was: the food was amazing, the three kinds of ceviche were divine. The salmon for starters was also delicious! And then the cheesecake to finish. Simply beyond words. Added to that, a wonderful Lugana, all together the perfect start to the weekend. Thanks to the Pez team for the attentive and friendly service. We'll be back. And this time, not after a year!

The service staff is very friendly. The current store is inside a hotel. The environment is great, but it is really a bit noisy. We have been to this restaurant several times, the food has always been perfect, only yesterday one of the two ceviches was very acidic, the chicha morada was not fresh. As for the service, the gentleman received us with great attention to detail, while the service of the other waiter seemed a little superficial.

We had the 7 Course Menu and it was extraordinary! Especially the Pulpo was probably the best I’ve ever had! But the classic Ceviche was also from a different planet 🤤 Unfortunately we waited around 15 minutes before we even got noticed that we want to have a seat and when the restaurant was busy in the beginning the devices lacked a little bit, thus only 4 stars. Otherwise 5 out of 5 and the kitchen deserves at least one Michelin Star ⭐

The taste of the food is really excellent, but the portions are rather small in size. We find the extremely high prices for the drinks annoying. Unfortunately, a bottle of water for €8.90 is not possible, not even in Munich.

Endlich mal was anderes, dachten wir und haben spontan reserviert. Der Weg hat sich gelohnt! Tolles, freundliches Ambiente. Schon der „peruanische Spritz“ war ein super Einstieg. Das Essen war unglaublich lecker und sehr stilvoll angerichtet. Der Service war hervorragend. Kompetente Beratung, auch beim Wein. Und sooo nett! Wir haben uns die ganze Zeit einfach rundum wohl gefühlt und herzlich willkommen. Der Cheesecake und das Sorbet zum Dessert war nicht nur überraschend anders, sondern geschmacklich der Wahnsinn. Alles in allem unfassbar gut! Wenn wir in München wohnen würden, wären wir Stammkunden. Vielen, vielen Dank für diesen unvergesslichen Abend!

Eher durch Zufall dieses Restaurant entdeckt, nette Begrüßung, herzlicher und professioneller Service über den ganzen Abend wurde geboten - vom Design alles hell und stimmig zusammengefügt - nicht all zu groß, eher für Paare geeignet - das Essen ist einfach nur klasse und lecker, wir hatten u.a. Tunfisch und Risotto - wirklich ansprechend präsentiert - Weinauswahl sehr gut zusammengestellt - trotz voll besetztem Lokal am Freitagabend wurde hier wirklich alles abgerufen - toller Abend.

Definitely one of the best restaurants I have ever been to! We had Ceviche Nikkei and Hot Ceviche Thai. There are good portions and they were really really tasty. As dessert we had the pistachio cheesecake which was also very good but honestly very expensive for the small dish.

First time in a Peruvian restaurant. They have a lovely atmosphere. Our choices were Pulpo en Crema de Culantro and Pulpo Anticuchero and both were delicious! It would be nice if the portions were a bit larger.

The fish is of excellent quality. The variety of flavors does the rest. The wine accompaniment to the menu: Very skilful. And all in a very relaxed atmosphere and the best service. A top restaurant in Munich.

A comida é espectacular, as entradas de trio de ceviche e trio de causa são optimas e o polvo com coentros como prato principal é imperdível! Volto sempre com gosto e não podia recomendar mais!

If you would like to try something new , out of the usual european, asian, oriental dishes, here's Nikkei Cusine ( fusion of Peruvian and Japane elements ) . Amazing cusine ! We all agreed this restaurant offers great , well thought of dishes and friendly service . We ordered for sharing . For starters , we had several Ceviche ( Nikkei, Mixto, and Pulpo en Crema). F or our main courses ,we had the Risotto with calamari and shrimps , Lomo Saltado (entrecote), and Quinoa with truffle vegetables . Everyone was happy. Reservation is a must, and be willing to pay more than usual . It's worth it. It was our first time here, but it will definitely not be our last . We all had a great evening . They outdo themselves every year! The fusion cuisine of traditional and modern flavors will make you want to come back to try the whole menu. The people working in the restaurant are very friendly and treat you like family. Be open to have interesting conversations with them.

Super tasty and incredibly great service!

We had to wait a long time for the menu, the service was rather distant and dismissive. Unfortunately I have to agree with other bad reviews. The prices of the food were significantly higher than stated on the homepage, and drink prices have now reached the beyond; 15€ for a Pisco Sour and almost 60€ for a simple bottle of Robert Weil Riesling are too much. Our place was dark, narrow and rather cold.

The first place I know in Munich sets the bar very high, it was wonderful to dine there, I never thought I would find a restaurant like this in Munich, Romeo's service is unbeatable, there is a new client here every time he flies to this city. Thanks for dinner!

Cevicheria Pez is a real highlight for lovers of Peruvian cuisine! The ceviche is fresh and tasty, and the other dishes also impress with their sophisticated flavors and high quality. The cocktails are particularly recommended – the Pisco Sour and the Passion Fruit Sour were excellent. The service was very friendly and attentive, which made the evening particularly pleasant. The prices are high, but absolutely reasonable considering the quality of the food and drinks. Since the restaurant is busy, it is advisable to reserve a table in advance. If you are looking for a special culinary experience, you have come to the right place!

Food is amazing and Romeo the waiter was great!

We just got back from a trip to Spain and this caught our eye. We were skeptical at first but holy mother of seafood, this may be the best ceviche we’ve ever had in our lives. Super distinctive and bold flavors but perfectly balanced with the gentleness of seafood. We ordered the trio but my favorite was the Thai ceviche that had a nice lemongrass flavor in it. Then we come to the main dish for Arroz con Marisco. This sent us straight back to Spain for an amazing paella flavor and perfectly fried shrimp, fresh calamari and rice that perfectly soaked up all the juices in between. Definitely must try for date night if you’re in town.

The food was the finest, the pulp, salmon and fried tuna were a culinary dream :) Very pleasant, friendly service and nice atmosphere. Definitely coming back.

So guys, the evening was just awesome, If you like ceviche you simply can't miss this place. We were there on Saturday evening October 2nd. and ate so deliciously. We had the complete menu and yes, that has its price but for raw fish only top quality products are possible and that has its price but every dish was worth the money and tasted really, really delicious. The service was bomb 🤗 the wine was a pleasure, what more could you want. The tuna was the best I've ever eaten. For us it was a great evening with great food and super nice people. We Swabians like to come back from Ulm just to enjoy this sensational cheviche again. See you soon E+H
