We have been coming to Grainau once a year for many years. The Jägerstüberl is an absolute must. Always very good. The owners are very warm and friendly. The food was outstanding. The beef loin is highly recommended! We have always been very satisfied over the years.

The two are very friendly and have their business under control. The guest room is attractively designed. The food came very quickly and was very good. The price-performance ratio is also good.

Our visit to the Jägerstübl was very nice. The grill plate is recommended, very tasty and the portion is really large. We were also very welcome with 2 large dogs. The service and ambience were very good, hence 5 out of 5 stars for this restaurant!

Everything was exceptional.From service to food.We tried Garlic Soup since everyone are mentioning in reviews and we didn’t regret.It is very tasty and feels good eating it especially at winter when it’s cold as hell outside.

This little restaurant is absolutely recommended!! We were there by chance and just had to eat there a second time. Starting with the two super nice ladies, the restaurant was very well decorated. Orders were taken quickly and the food was ready even quicker. You can really hear how people are working in the kitchen (very positive). I had the schnitzel for the second time, it was pounded really nicely, super tender, great marinade and the fried potatoes were on point. What you have to say is that 2 schnitzels are served, so double the enjoyment. The price is absolutely right, but you can happily pay more for it. After all the positive writing, you can now honestly say that the restaurant really deserves first place in the TV show “My Local, Your Local”.

Croatia meets Bavarian. I'm always skeptical about mixed restaurants. But in the Jägerstüberl the concept works and both the Bavarian and Croatian dishes are at a top level. The service was warm, attentive - top. The food and drinks, definitely not cheap but absolutely acceptable for the quality offered, it was delicious! We both had soup, 1 drink each and a main course. The ambience, rustic Bavarian inside, looks more modern on the outside, in any case well-kept and clean. Conclusion: A great restaurant, we would love to come back.

A locals restaurant for sure, because the place was full. Great service and pet friendly, too. I would say their specaltiy are cream sauces, which both dishes that we ordered came with, the chicken pasta and the roast beef; both were delicious. Our dinner there made for a memorable evening and would definitely return there if I ever make it back to Grainu. Please note, cash only!

No matter what you choose from the menu, everything is great. The vacation is always far too short to try all the delicious dishes. For us it is now “eating with friends”: Suzana, Zeljko, Melanie and team, you are the best. You cater to all your wishes - you can't eat better anywhere.... Ambience, warmth and food: top 👍

Rarely eaten so badly. Tasteless and greasy. When we asked how it tasted, our answer was “not good” and “thank you”. Find the error. We'll definitely never come back. Card payments are also no longer up to date Since you can't respond to the answer from the restaurant, here's the answer this way: First. The plates weren't empty. You should take a closer look before you say that. Second. We didn't accept the offered liquor. Also wrong of them again. Third. If from your point of view food should only be “edible” - then we have a different understanding of “eating out”.

We didn't have a reservation (not possible online and not by phone during quiet times) but were lucky to get a table for an hour. It was worth it because we were thrilled with the taste.

The first time was in the Jägerstüberl when I was 6-8 years old...next year I'll be 23 years old and the cheese spaetzle is still my highlight every holiday (the other food is of course also very tasty)!!!😋 The service is great and everyone is very nice. The food is always amazing!!

We were here 2 evenings in a row. Even though we didn't have a reservation and it was very busy, we got a table both times without waiting. The food was very good and the prices were fair. The boss then offered us a schnapps on the house, which of course we happily accepted. A clear recommendation!

Totally recommended! We ate there today without a reservation because some restaurants were closed on Mondays. Luckily we still got two places. After 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. it is recommended to reserve in advance. Nice ambience, nice and fast, courteous service and, above all, very tasty, rich food. It tasted really good and was good value for money. The schnapps at the end shows the customer-oriented orientation of the inn.

Average, but nothing more. Food OK, everyone was nice and tried hard. Nevertheless, it remains a mystery how the proudly presented 1st place at Mein Lokal Dein Lokal was won.

The pork loin was unfortunately bad and the salad had too many different things, but I thought it was a buttery tender schnitzel, but apart from these points it was a very great local place. Large portions for a really fair price, a cool service team and a very nice atmosphere. Gladly again & definitely a recommendation.

We were there two evenings in a row and we were very impressed with the food. The potato chips and the schnitzel are very good, but the huge number of wasps on the terrace were annoying. Unfortunately, the atmosphere among the service staff is not always very harmonious and you as a customer notice that. We were still served very friendly and we never had the feeling of being overlooked or forgotten.

One of the best dishes I’ve ever had while traveling. The employees were very kind. They made room for us even though we did not have a reservation. But I strongly recommend making a reservation. The only negative was the construction happening around the restaurant and the many bees. But the food is well worth it! The garlic soup was AMAZING!!! My only regret was not taking note of the name of the dish I had on the chefs specials menu. So if anyone knows the German name for the crispy onion schnitzel PLEASE let me know or share the picture of the menu! I never write reviews, but was so happy with our experience here that I felt compelled to do so😊

The food was very good and the service too. Noise within the premises and crowds spoil the enjoyment somewhat. It is or was also high season. If you want to eat delicious food, you can and should stop here.

I arrived quite late and got warm food an hour before closing time. Fixed operation. Very nice. Kitchen quickly. The crusty roast was excellent. I ate there twice in a row. I had a great meal on the terrace with a view of the mountains. Cash only.

Really highly recommended! We were only on holiday in Bavaria for a few days and just happened to walk past the restaurant and heard one of the guests praising the food. Even though it was relatively full, we still managed to get a seat and were served in a very friendly and friendly manner. The food was very tasty (we ordered grilled chicken breast fillet with fries), we especially liked the homemade herb butter! The portion was relatively large, great value for money and great service 👍🏼. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely come back, thank you very much! PS: all dishes are also offered as smaller portions (with a slight discount!) and there is a special menu for children. All dishes are also described on the menu in English.

Food top, nothing to complain about. Ambience very quaint but pleasant. The restaurant can't do anything about the current construction site in front of the door. The only drawback. The waitress spends quite a long time on her cell phone behind the bar and can no longer hear anything. Furthermore, you won't be asked if you want something to drink when it's empty. Otherwise great. Very happy again

I have never eaten better Rigatoni à la Chef in my life, excellent, and the other dishes were also very, very tasty. The service is excellent, the family is very welcoming. The boss (cook) even told me the recipe for the rigatoni, this was definitely not our last visit when we are in Grainau, we'll be back!!!!

Our family enjoyed this restaurant so much that we ate there 2 of 3 evenings we stayed in Grainau. All our dishes were excellent and the atmosphere even better. A very cozy, clean restaurant. My daughter (14)and son(10 ) absolutely loved their meals the first night and asked to return. What stood out the most besides the delicious food was the friendly welcoming staff. We are an American family learning German and everyone was patient and positive with us trying our best Speaking German. I highly recommend making a reservation at this amazing restaurant while visiting the Garmisch / Grainau area. You will not be disappointed😊

Top and absolutely recommended. It was super tasty, warm and just great! Both the cuisine and service are really excellent. However, you should make a reservation to be sure to get a spot. When we were there there was a power outage. But the employees also solved this really well and warmly. Thank you very much for this lovely evening!

Went there spontaneously, and despite the fact that the restaurant was busy, they tried to find a place for us. The service was warm and courteous. The food came quickly and tasted fantastic. Small portions and children's meals are offered. All in all a great restaurant. Absolute recommendation.

Un super restaurant traditionnel avec une excellente cuisine et un personnel vraiment adorable et au petit soin de tous les clients. Les Käsespätzle étaient une tuerie et le Schnitzel était parmi les meilleurs qu'on a mangés. Top sur toute la longueur! (En plus ils sont dog friendly :D )

Delicious, hearty food - both the oven-fresh roast with dumplings and red cabbage and the Croatian mixed grill were excellent. Super friendly landlady and attentive staff. Relaxed atmosphere. Perfect for a nearby stopover towards or on the way back from Eibsee, Zugspitze etc. The small town itself (Grainau) is also beautiful. You could perhaps add a little more to the vegetarian options on the menu.

A great restaurant that rightly won the “My Local, Your Local” format. The food is always freshly prepared and super tasty. My absolute favorites are the garlic cream soup and the Jägerschnitzel with spaetzle. But it's all highly recommended. We are self-confessed Jägerstüberl fans <3 <3

I gave a critical review (3*) 11 months ago. After today's visit I have to put this into perspective and can only give it 5 *. Unreserved recommendation. Service, main course and dessert excellent. Surely again. Thank you for the lovely evening.

Nice location with direct view to Alps. Food is delicious especially the seasonal asparagus gourmet. Dessert is also nice. The staff is friendly so as the service.

The staff is very friendly and reliable. The food was only partly good. My meat was a bit dry. Unfortunately my fries are exactly the opposite. We also had fish that was fresh and well fried. There were also boiled potatoes, the quality could have been better. We don't think the price performance is right. We wouldn't come anymore.

Ordered crusted roast with dark beer sauce, dumplings and red cabbage (19€). The portion was sufficient, but the high (Google) star rating is not justified. Instead of homemade, ready-made pancake dumplings, transparent ready-made powder sauce (without dark beer, but with far too much garlic) were served, meat was okay, red cabbage also seemed to be from a jar, soup (€6) was made according to a similar principle. Because the portion was quite large, there are at least 2 ⭐️
