My feedback about the restaurant is very positive. I don't understand why the rating on Google Maps is only 4.4. The restaurant definitely deserves the highest rating! Very tasty cuisine and large portions, my husband is thrilled.

We expected little and were pleasantly surprised. Overall, better than many others in Grainau. Food was plentiful and really tasty. Prices are reasonable.

Very nice restaurant with Bavarian charm. You should definitely book a table in advance, otherwise it can be difficult to get a seat as it is always busy. Portions are huge and very tasty!! Schnitzel is really good. You can probably also order a smaller portion as an adult, but we might try that next time. Dogs are allowed 🐕🐶 Card payment is not possible, but this was pointed out when making the reservation.

Waited 45 minutes for my schnitzel and 30 minutes for my water. That was quite ok. When paying you will be informed that card payment is not possible. According to the law, this must be clearly and conspicuously signposted. In addition, there were wasps everywhere and you couldn't drink or eat anything without a wasp disturbing you. I know I'm in the Zugspitz Arena, but I find the prices too expensive compared to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The food was okay, but nothing more!!

Hello, I work in the catering industry myself and am normally really empathetic when it comes to stress or other things, but I haven't experienced such bad service in a long time. We brought the wrong food, then started arguing and trying to explain to us (Austrians) what a Wiener schnitzel was, even though a chicken schnitzel was ordered. We also had to swap meals with each other instead of being offered an alternative. Raspberry soda is also unknown to the waiters. Waiting time to order and pay is also far too long. So long that we had to go to the cash register ourselves.

Bad service, they barely understood us and even took the order incorrectly. As an Austrian, I wanted to explain to myself what a Wiener Schnitzel is. :) Food was ok.

Great Bavarian atmosphere inside! We decided to go inside because the wasps didn't allow us to eat outside! But we sat very comfortably inside, were served very nicely and had a great meal! Any time !

Unfortunately, this Bavarian sausage salad was the saddest sausage salad I have ever seen. Four cucumber slices on pre-cut sausage strips with some red onions. The taste is very very weak, just oily. At least there were three slices of bread left. But it wasn't worth the money. This can definitely be improved and should definitely be improved, after all, that is our trademark in Bavaria. We got a place without a reservation but were informed in advance that it might take a little longer, which is completely fine with this information. But it would be a good idea to ask the guest again every now and then when the glasses are empty whether they would like something else to drink, also for the sake of sales. ;) Location is very nice and central.

Super! Even though we didn't make a reservation, the friendly staff assigned us a table. I've had a completely different experience here in Garmisch. (No reservation = out). Not here. I am a trained chef myself and can only say that the food is delicious, authentic and very good. That's how it should be. My culinary highlight here. Keep it up dear ones. Clear recommendation!

The sausage salad was absolutely cheap and carelessly prepared. There were factory-cut sausage strips and a full 5 slices of pickle in there. I avoided onions due to intolerance. Add 1.5 slices of bread and you're done. You could tell from the neighboring tables that small reorders were not possible. (Rather than fries, prefer fried potatoes) Anyone who didn't reserve a spot for the beer garden didn't get one. Although there was the option of sitting in the restaurant, that wasn't even offered, even though there were still tables available inside. (Without reserved note)

Die Kartoffelröstis waren sehr fettig und sehr wenig gewürzt, zudem hat das Dressing am Salat gefehlt. Die Suppe war aber lecker.

We only had coffee and cake in the guest garden, so I can't say anything about the ambience. The others' food looked great. The Kaiserschmarrn was the best I had eaten so far. The staff was very friendly.

The food gets a 10/10. We ordered the knuckle and the rösti, both very crispy and hot. For dessert, the classic Kaiserschmarrn was also very tasty.

At the beginning the staff seemed very unfriendly and uninterested. Over time the behavior subsided somewhat. The food was ok but not great. The knuckle was well prepared but completely unseasoned. Just like the dumplings and the sauce. The sauerkraut was quite good. Kaiserschmarrn tasted good but was very compact. Unfortunately we wouldn't go there again, it's a shame...

Card payments will not be possible here in 2024 either, it's just annoying. Bayer. Schweinebraten: viel Fleisch, aber schmeckt wie drei mal eingefroren und vier mal aufgetaut. Kartoffelklöße und Blaukraut in Ordnung. Meine Frau bestellte gefüllten Pfannkuchen. Drei Fertigteile aus der Friteuse - ohne Geschmack, Salatbeilage sehr gut. Mit jeweils einem Getränk: 48€.

The crusty roast was super tender. The sauce, dumplings and red cabbage were also excellent. The cheese spaetzle had the perfect consistency and the cheese taste was pleasantly spicy. Can just be recommended.

The food was really nicely prepared and you can sit very nicely right on the market square. However, the salad was not very seasoned and very oily.

We ate here for the second time today, June 10, 2024. The service and the food were excellent. Particularly recommended is the roast pork. I've never had such tender pork. If our vacation wasn't over, we would definitely like to come back. Greetings Karsten.

We are currently in Grainau and we have already eaten at “Zum Dorfbrunnen” twice. The first thing that stands out is the very nice and attentive service. You immediately felt very comfortable. The orders always came quickly. As far as the quality of the food is concerned, I can only say...GREAT. The Kässpätzle were a delight, the Leberkäse was delicious and the mega-sized breaded schnitzel was simply delicious. And the young ladies in service are always very attentive. We were there on May 31st evening and June 3rd late afternoon and it wasn't the last visit👍👍👍👍

Great food with child-friendly service

Typical Bavarian inn, menu accordingly with a great selection. Super friendly staff, the food comes quickly. It tastes great, but be careful, the portions are gigantic (I thought it was awesome). Prices are a little higher, but it's definitely worth it, the area is generally a little more expensive anyway.

The restaurant is worth a visit. My rating would probably be a 4.5 but in the end it was really tasty and went quite quickly. Excellent beer and good service round off the visit. You can definitely go here and I am happy to recommend it.

Was here for the first time and am a little disappointed. I had the roast pork with beer sauce, red cabbage and dumplings. Unfortunately I have to say that the roast wasn't as tender as I'm used to. The sauce tasted good, but unfortunately it was cold. The red cabbage had a little too much clove spice for my taste; but the dumplings were good. I won't go there again, but it's all just a matter of taste...

I had the cheese spaetzle. Were very tasty. Really huge portions, unfortunately I didn't manage to finish them all. But the restaurant is highly recommended

Anyone who loves Bavarian cuisine will not be disappointed. The atmosphere is very inviting, the staff are friendly and the food is delicious. The portions are large and definitely fill you up.

It was okay, the food itself was unfortunately a bit dry but ok. The service staff clearly didn't feel like it and the room is far too narrow for so many tables. Then it got louder and louder. A pity.

The restaurant is, as the name suggests, next to the beautiful village square with the fountain. There are enough seats to linger and enjoy. Whether you just order something to drink or an afternoon meal, you will receive friendly and courteous service.

Food top. Schnitzel nice and thin and the fries as you know them from the good outdoor pool times. Sausage salad was equally delicious! Prices are a little higher but normal for the area.

Very cozy place in the center of the village. The food was huge and delicious. To our surprise, the restaurant is run by a young Hungarian family, so it remains a particularly nice and memorable place for us. I strongly recommend it to others.

Such delicious food that we went here twice during our week of vacation. Great selection, super quick and so delicious too.

We have been there for the second time. Last year in April 2023 we went there to eat after hiking and it was just incredibly good! This year we came back just to eat there again. We were particularly fond of the Kaiserschmarrn, but unfortunately it wasn't as good this year as last year. Nevertheless, absolute recommendation!

Große Portion. Jägerschnitzel bestellt, Fleisch sehr dünn, aber viel, einfach nur frittiert und salz drüber gekippt, sonst nicht gewürzt. Spätzle mit Rahmsoße waren OK. Jedoch gehört auf ein jägerschnitzel auch Soße. Preis mit über 20 Euro, schon sehr stolz. Insgesamt bei 65 Euro gelandet bei zwei Personen. Das ist schon heftig, für Standard Essen. Ist ok, aber nichts besonderes.

Die Käsespätzle sind nicht zu empfehlen. Hier hat man das Gefühl, dass der Käse gestreckt wurde, um Geld zu sparen. Für den Preis leider absolut enttäuschend. Meine Apfelschorle bestand auch viel mehr aus Wasser als aus Saft. Lecker ist was anderes. Die Gaststätte hatte allerdings ein schönes Ambiente und der Service gut. Alles in allem dennoch nicht zu empfehlen.

Stabile haxe und braten bekommen nach wenigen Minuten warten. Kellner sind wohl nur ukrainer, es spielen Kinder im Restaurant. Hat gut geschmeckt da kann man nicht meckern.

Sehr leckeres Essen! Bedinung war ein netter Mann, leider hat er mir nur eine Weinkarte gebracht und als das Essen auf dem Tisch war, hat das Besteck gefehlt. Daher vom Service her leider nur zwei Sterne. Ich würde dennoch wieder hingehen, da der Mann trotzdem nett war und ich schätze einfach, dass er im Stress war. Sehr gute Küche 👌🏽

Food is great, service is friendly and decor is perfect for the area. There was a little miscommunication but nothing big, we got an extra plate of food that we did not order, but took it anyway. The schnitzels was the best we have had in a long time.
