Schönes kleines Lokal in Grainau. Die Speisen sind gut, aber nicht herausragend. Traditionelle bayrische Küche und leckere Getränke. Man wird freundlich behandelt und hat zudem im kleinen Biergarten einen schönen Blick auf die umliegende Wiese.

Es schließt um 23 Uhr, aber die Küche war an diesem Samstag bereits um 21:40 Uhr geschlossen. Es wäre wichtig, dies in den Öffnungszeiten zu vermerken.

Ein unglaubliches Erlebnis! Wir kamen kurz nach Küchenschluss an, aber das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend und hat uns noch ein paar Gerichte zubereitet. Das Schnitzel und ein weiteres Schweinefleischgericht waren fantastisch. Der Apfelstrudel mit Eis war der perfekte Abschluss des Abends! Man kann jetzt neben Bargeld auch mit PayPal bezahlen.

Super Essen, super Personal. Beim nächsten Urlaub in Grainau kommen wir sicher auch wieder bei Euch vorbei.

Sehr leckeres Essen, auch ohne zu reservieren konnten wir draußen sitzen, sehr gemütlich, sogar mit Decken für die Frostbeulen :) Super liebe Wirtin, sogar noch einen tollen Unternehmungstipp für die nächsten Tage bekommen :)

Ein wunderschönes Restaurant mit überaus freundlichem und kompetentem Personal, das Ihnen auf Anfrage gerne Tipps für Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Umgebung gibt. Das Essen ist köstlich und preiswert, und das Restaurant hat lange geöffnet. Ich empfehle die Käsespätzle und den Apfelstrudel, aber ich bin mir sicher, dass alles hier hervorragend schmeckt. Wir kommen bei unserem nächsten Bayern-Besuch auf jeden Fall wieder! Bitte beachten Sie, dass nur Barzahlung möglich ist.

Gutes, herzhaftes und preiswertes Essen, freundliche Bedienung, angenehme Atmosphäre, immer viel los, aber immer lösungsorientiert.

Wir waren zweimal im Lokal zu Abend essen. Beide Male konnten wir auf der Terrasse sitzen. Es gibt wiederkehrende Tagesgerichte, sowie eine nette überschaubare Hauptkarte. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis bei den Speisen ist in Ordnung. Die Wirtin des Lokals ist sehr nett und kommunikativ. Es gab freundlicherweise beide Male einen Schnaps, als Gruß, aufs Haus. Reservierung empfehlenswert.

Wir haben das Restaurant während unseres Aufenthalts im nahegelegenen Hammersbach besucht. Wir hatten Glück, einen Platz zu bekommen, da es sehr voll war. Das Essen war hervorragend, aber was den Abend so besonders machte, war der herzliche und freundliche Service. Wir Touristen wurden sehr herzlich empfangen! Es ist ein gemütliches kleines Restaurant mit einer tollen Atmosphäre. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Das Essen ist absolut köstlich und die Preise sind für die Gegend unschlagbar. Wenn Sie in Grainau sind, müssen Sie hier unbedingt essen und trinken. Geöffnet ist bis 23 Uhr.

Wir hatten ein wunderbares Abendessen im Lokal zur Molle, und zwar zu fünft. Alles war einfach fantastisch. Das Wildfleisch war unglaublich zart und geschmackvoll und harmonierte perfekt mit Spätzle und Rotkohl. Man konnte die Qualität und Authentizität der Gerichte wirklich schmecken. Was den Abend aber wirklich besonders machte, war das Personal. Sie waren unglaublich freundlich, aufmerksam und geduldig. Wir hatten einige Fragen zum Wildfleisch und seiner Zubereitung, und sie nahmen sich die Zeit, uns alles mit echter Begeisterung im Detail zu erklären. Als Krönung wurde uns nach dem Essen freundlicherweise ein Likör aufs Haus angeboten – eine sehr nette und aufmerksame Geste. Solch einen herzlichen und professionellen Service erlebt man selten. Wir fühlten uns rundum willkommen und bestens betreut. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Super nett und freundlich, ob Hax‘n, Forelle oder „Grieche“ (Schnitzel mit hauseigener Tsatsiki Zubereitung als Topping) alles wurde schnell und zügig zubereitet und schmeckte vorzüglich. Eine super Idee fand ich auch, das Bier in einem eisgekühlten Krug zu servieren. Das kam sehr gut an. 🍻

Das beste Restaurant, in dem wir auf unserer letzten Bayernreise gegessen haben. Die knusprigen Schweinefleischscheiben waren ein Traum, und meine Frau empfiehlt das Gulasch wärmstens. Freundlicher und herzlicher Service zu fairen Preisen.

Wir haben sehr gut gegessen und gutes Bier getrunken. Es war wirklich echt gemütlich hier. Die Gastgeber waren aufmerksam und sehr freundlich.

Eine Rezension ist fast schon überflüssig, denn das Lokal wird überwiegend mit 5 Sternen ausgezeichnet. Der Innenbereich ist nicht sehr geräumig also ist eine Reservierung angebracht. Im Außenbereich sind in der warmen Jahreszeit die Möglichkeiten einen Tisch zu bekommen bedeutend aussichtsreicher. Die Bezeichnung des Lokals "zur Molle" halte ich für nicht gerade originell.

Sehr uhrige bayrische Gastwirtschaft, so wie man sich das als Preiß vorstellt ;-) , das Essen lecker, der Service aufmerksam und schnell und das Essen schmeckte sehr gut. Ein Besuch ist zu empfehlen ;-)

The schnitzel with side dish was delicious, and the cocktails and other drinks were very good. The only downside was the long wait for our order, but there were a lot of guests that evening, so I understand the staff's frustration—it wasn't their fault. The resident cat added to the lovely atmosphere. A romantic place, friendly staff, and delicious food. I highly recommend it.

We tried everything on the menu and found it all to be excellent. The service is very attentive and friendly. The kitchen is run by a true expert. Note that reservations are always recommended, and remember to bring cash as the restaurant is cozy and intimate. However, the owner always tries her best to accommodate everyone. It's well worth a visit!

I can only agree with the positive reviews. My husband had ham hock 😋😋 I had venison goulash, with the variation from cabbage to vegetables, no!!! problems and no!!! extra charge. It was super delicious. We don't even need to mention the friendliness.☺️. What goes around comes around 👍. I'd go back anytime. Reservations required.

We ate there twice: on August 23rd and 27th. Both times, we enjoyed the food immensely...from knuckles to schnitzel and roulades, everything was delicious, and you can tell it was prepared with love. I think a reservation is a good idea, as the restaurant is usually busy. I would also like to emphasize the consistently friendly service, who always had a friendly smile, even under pressure...a definite recommendation.

I have ordered chicken nuggets with fries. Waiting time was unacceptable - little over 1 hour. We were not informed about this. The restaurant was full at that time. For that price I would expect more from food, more nuggets. The chicken was fresh, not overcooked. It was not seasoned. However fries were frozen from market. Nothing special. Almost 20€ is not a proper price for that dish. Maybe it will be good to come for a pint of beer not for food.

We two Thuringians ate there tonight. Conclusion: Super-friendly service, nothing to complain about! And the food was also top-notch. I can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant! BAVARIAN HOSPITALITY 👍

Quite tasty in itself, but way too expensive. No reserved signs. After ordering our first drink, we were thrown out with crossed arms. Highly recommended: make a reservation; at least you'll ruin someone else's evening and not your own.

We were very impressed. We arrived very early, so we were able to get a seat outside until the next reservation. The service was super friendly, the food was good, and the portions were large—we definitely recommend it, even with children!

It was okay. We had Swiss sausage salad, cheese spaetzle, and yeast dumplings. It got better as the order went. They forgot the bread for the sausage salad, and there was one beer too many on the bill, which I unfortunately only noticed afterward. The bread came eventually, and it was busy, but that shouldn't happen at those high prices. We wouldn't come back again.

I simply have to give this a top review for two reasons...firstly, to compensate for the completely unnecessarily bad review from Kandy Backs on June 17, 2025, as we were there that day and experienced the frustration and felt it was completely exaggerated. Things go wrong sometimes, but the friendly waitresses tried everything to accommodate the guests and somehow correct this mistake. Unfortunately, the guests wouldn't listen. And the food was absolutely delicious! We even got a seat outside without a reservation...which is actually quite difficult. Thank you for a wonderful evening with delicious food and first-class service!! Keep up the good work and don't let a few bad reviews get you down 😉 We would come back anytime!

We stopped here and made a reservation. My husband ate the most delicious knuckle of his life. I had a delicious schnitzel. 😊 We would eat here again and again and spend a pleasant evening.

During our stay here in Grainau, we visited the Zur Molle restaurant twice, and we were more than satisfied! The food, service, and atmosphere were simply fantastic! We recommend making a reservation, but we were able to get a table fairly quickly anyway.

Kudos! The store was packed, but everything still worked perfectly. They should just get a card terminal... it's outdated. Nevertheless, we'll be back the next time we visit Grainau!

Around 8:30 p.m., we were looking for a suitable place for dinner and were lucky that a table just opened up at Molle. We received a warm welcome and were immediately served drinks. The menus were quite unusual. Roast pork, cheese spaetzle, and Wiener Schnitzel were all a feast for the palate. The quality, taste, and price couldn't be better. The service staff was very friendly, and the owner, in particular, is passionate about her work. You simply feel welcome and can enjoy the meal to the fullest. 100% recommendation.

Disappointing experience at the restaurant "Zur Mölle" in Grainau Visit on June 17, 2025, table reservation at 7:30 p.m. The restaurant "Zur Mölle" in Grainau prominently advertises "Beef Roulade on Tuesdays" with a sign on the street. I therefore reserved a table for the advertised day with great anticipation. Unfortunately, the actual experience differed significantly from my expectations. When ordering, the server informed me that the beef roulade was already sold out and that it would have to be pre-ordered. However, there is no such notice on the advertising sign or on the regular menu – only the trout explicitly states that pre-ordering is required. This contradictory information caused confusion. Instead of open communication about the availability of the dishes, I was presented with an explanation that later turned out to be inaccurate. I find it particularly critical that the beef roulade continued to be advertised even though it was no longer available. This could have been avoided by simply covering the sign. After I ordered venison goulash as an alternative, this dish was also canceled after a long wait. When I asked, the owner responded with further excuses and presented an alternative menu that noted the pre-order of the beef roulade – however, this information was still missing from the regular menu. I found the communication to be lacking in transparency and the way they handled criticism unprofessional. In the end, we decided not to eat; we were generously not charged for the drinks. Unfortunately, the visit left a disappointing overall impression: misleading advertising, contradictory information, and a lack of customer-oriented handling of criticism are clear weaknesses for me. I hope the restaurant team sees these comments as constructive criticism and makes improvements. Unfortunately, I cannot currently recommend "Zur Mölle." Addendum to the restaurant review of "Zur Mölle" in Grainau Another point that negatively impacted my impression of the restaurant visit concerns the communication surrounding the menu and the availability of the dishes. During the conversation, the owner pointed out that the note about pre-ordering the beef roulade is "at the top of the menu." However, upon closer inspection of the menu, it is clear that the "please reserve" notice is only explicitly stated for the rainbow trout, while such a note is completely missing for the beef roulade.

Great food and impressive service despite a full house👍👏 We visited the restaurant on a very busy evening – without having made a reservation. Nevertheless, we were pleasantly surprised: After only about ten minutes of waiting, we were given a nice table outside. It was a truly wonderful start to the evening. I would particularly like to highlight the service. It was obvious that she was somewhat overwhelmed by the large number of guests – which is completely understandable in such a situation. Nevertheless, she remained friendly and approachable throughout, and mastered the seating arrangements and minor organizational difficulties with ease. Her smile and positive charisma noticeably contributed to the atmosphere at the table. Despite the full house, it was surprisingly pleasant – not too loud, so you could have a relaxed conversation. The food was excellent, freshly prepared, and a real highlight in terms of taste. Overall, it was a thoroughly successful visit, and the friendly service and pleasant atmosphere, despite the busyness, will remain memorable. We would definitely like to come back – and maybe make a reservation in advance!

The staff and owner are very friendly and very funny. This made our visit a wonderful experience. The special of the day looked delicious, but unfortunately, it was already sold out when we arrived, so we should probably reserve in advance. The dishes on the menu (cheese spaetzle and schnitzel with fries) get a good OK from us!

Truly delicious schnitzel, as well as dessert, where you'll definitely be full with such a large portion! The waiters are really friendly and make a real effort to make you feel comfortable. The ambiance was very cozy; I highly recommend this restaurant. I would come back again and again.

VERY good food but limited choice when I was there. Quite crowded, but mostly by lokals so you know this is the spot to be at. Very nice place to spend your time after a long hike in the lokal mountains, of which I included some pictures of for inspiration.

Very nice team, super nice to our pawing dog, nice seats outside. Like almost everywhere in Grainau, only cash payment is possible, but you will be informed about this directly at the entrance with a sign. The food was delicious and plentiful. But it would have been nice if both dishes had come at the same time. As everywhere in Grainau, the prices are a little more expensive. All in all, recommended👍

The best surprise of our stay in Grainau. The place was full when we went, but the host found us seats sharing a table with their long-time customers (they'd been going there for 30 years, which says it all). It definitely felt like visiting with friends, and the evening special was delicious to say the least. Schnaps on the house, of course, at the end of our dinner.

We celebrated my mom's birthday at the restaurant “Zur Molle” and it was an absolutely wonderful evening! The food was super tasty - the fried potatoes were just perfect and the red cabbage was the best I've ever eaten, with a subtle hint of cinnamon. My special request to create something vegetarian was responded to with a lot of love. The host Simone was incredibly welcoming, which made the evening even more special. To top it all off, there was even a schnapps on the house – a really great gesture! I can only warmly recommend this restaurant and would be happy to come back. Thank you for the lovely evening!
