The ambiance is really nice! BUT! €10.90 for a regular ice cream sundae with lots of cream and not much ice cream is pretty cheeky... Especially because we were booked in with a group to have ice cream.

I've been there twice, and I'm truly impressed. Each of the dining rooms has its own charm, one modern and stylish, the other cozy and rustic. The service is perfect, attentive but not intrusive, always a smile, and the food is exceptionally delicious. It's lovely here :)

I don't usually give five stars (there's always room for improvement). But... The waiters speak Bavarian, they're friendly... The food is very good. And when I read the negative reviews, I'm stunned that there's not even a single point for this. So, honestly, four stars from me, and the fifth is the overall rating. In short, a good Bavarian restaurant.

The service and ambiance were great, but the food, unfortunately, was not so great. Quite greasy, and the sauce tasted like it came from a packet. Definitely below average for what you'd expect from a Bavarian restaurant.

We came without a reservation, but were shown a table anyway. The atmosphere was great and many locals were eating here. The food was great and the waiter was very accommodating. We were the only tourists, which in my book is a huge plus.

And invited again: ordered roast beef with onions medium rare and got it well done. A shame, because the meat itself was good. Why? The service wasn't up to scratch. The waiter then offered a shot of schnapps. Still, not good. Otherwise, the food was good, the fish, as expected, was frozen. It's noticeable that there's a lot of parsley and rosemary garnished, but no other vegetables are served. While the dishes used to be served with salad, you now have to pay extra for the same prices. Back again, because of an invitation: it's become very expensive, the price-performance ratio is no longer right. How many restaurants have exploited the tax adjustment to raise prices unreasonably. The sauce for the beef dishes is strikingly similar. A portion of goulash for 18.50 is meager. Just look at the price increases in the last two years: by a good 40-50%!!! I wish my pension had been raised similarly! Unfortunately, the only option is to do without. Hopefully, this doesn't backfire. Delicious, rustic, everything good (old reviews). Portions have also been getting smaller recently. Unfortunately, no one responded to complaints or contact emails, hence one star deducted.

Finally ate a good schnitzel again, with a great side salad and good sauce...Thank you very much!

We had a very good meal here in the evening. The daily specials always have something great, including some special dishes. The service was very friendly and prompt. We sat outside in the lovely, shaded beer garden. It's a great place to linger.

Beautiful, clean, and traditional restaurant with very friendly service. We were allowed to bring our two dogs, which was great! The food was so delicious...😋👍 We had cheese spaetzle and beer goulash with bread dumplings; they were super tasty, perfectly seasoned, and very tender! I highly recommend this restaurant; just to be on the safe side, reserve a table 😉

We had a schnitzel with fries. The food was very good! The portion size was more than sufficient, even when we were very hungry. Excellent value for money!

Actually, just on the other side. I paid a €15.00 fine for parking with a parking disc. Because I didn't put the disc on.

Yesterday I celebrated my 60th birthday with you with 26 people. All 26 people were really enthusiastic about the food (a la cart)... the taste was perfect and the portions were really LARGE... you first have to manage to really satisfy everyone. A very big compliment to the kitchen and thank you very much for everything... And then the service team... Super friendly... Super fast... and VERY OFTEN AND AGAIN the questions: does everything fit? Do you need anything else? When do you want the champagne reception... the food... the coffee... etc. And on top of that, lightning fast for all repeat orders... Thank you all so much to all of you, and thank you for the successful celebration, which would NEVER have been so beautiful without you... You have 10⭐️+ for me because you (the whole team!) are perfect for me.... Thank you, thank you, thank you Margot

Really good food, traditional Bavarian cuisine, rustic, classic tavern character in the restaurant, nice ambience in the large adjoining room, where the noise level was very pleasant thanks to effective soundproofing measures, entertainment was also possible at the larger table, very nice service staff, no long waiting times for food, were able to eat ten practically at the same time, reasonable prices, small, nice beer garden in summer, recommended at any time, of course we'll be back

Nice Biergarten, waiters wear traditional Bavarian outfits that’s a nice touch. The food is great the portions are good. The downside we waited 45 minutes for the food nobody told us why or that there is such a long waiting time and at time of arrival there were 10 people in the restaurant and we were the first to get food so the others were there probably only for drinks.

Friendly staff, good food, reasonable prices. The place would deserve a 4 star rating if it was not for the 45 minutes we had to wait for the food. We arrived at 16:50 and we're served at 17:35. We had a Wiener Schnitzel and a Cordon Blue, nothing special. If the kitchen was not prepared, staff should have told us about it!

We went to dinner at Aubräu Traunstein today. A small, fine beer garden. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The selection in the restaurant is very good, there is something for everyone and the price is absolutely right. We can give an absolute recommendation.

We were there more or less by chance because we were in the mood for Bavarian cuisine after hiking and were absolutely thrilled. Really friendly and genuine service staff. Nowadays you notice more and more often that people smile at you, but in the end it's just a facade. Not so in Aubräu. Here people still treat each other honestly and kindly. The food was from the reduced afternoon menu. We had the schnitzel and the beef goulash and were both absolutely thrilled. You would think that you can't go wrong with a schnitzel - the kitchen at Aubräu shows what you can do right! Good meat, pounded nice and thin, delicious and crispy pannade and a hearty potato salad. The same applies to beer goulash. A hearty, tasty goulash with beef that falls apart on its own. The motto here is: Enjoy every bite, you rarely get such a fine meal served anymore! We can't say anything about the ambience in the restaurant as we appreciated the good weather in the beer garden. We highly recommend it and we will definitely come back!

Classic Bavarian inn with a nice beer garden. We had a good meal here and were served very friendly and attentive. The menu offers typical Bavarian dishes at reasonable prices and very good quality. We had the Wiener-style schnitzel, which was delicious. The Kaiserschmarrn for dessert was a poem and is absolutely recommended. The beautifully designed side room with large windows is also ideal for celebrations in larger groups. We'd love to come back!

We were spontaneously in Traunstein on Sunday and found this restaurant online. We absolutely loved it! Not only the service and the nice employees but also the delicious food and the price-performance ratio. Really highly recommended and very easy to reach. Simply a very quaint and experienced restaurant. We had two portions of schnitzel “Viennese style” with fries and potato salad. The potato salad was particularly outstanding with the schnitzel.

We've been to Aubräu several times now and it's always been a great experience, so I have to write a review now. The staff was always extremely nice and helpful. Every time we were served quickly and everything arrived at the table correctly. The food: a dream. I've eaten a few different things. But so far everything has been really great... from schnitzel to salad with cheese dumplings. What I find particularly cool is that the salad, for example, had balsamic drops added to it. This is a great exciting addition. The price is absolutely justified and not too expensive! I really like the place. I would recommend it at any time and we will definitely come back!

I had a turkey schnitzel and a two wheat beer here. Unfortunately, one glass of wheat beer was still covered in soap residue. But not the other one. My colleague had a pork schnitzel which, as expected, was huge. He had it packed up, but his fries were thrown away. The food was very tasty and the beer too. Deduction for the ambience due to the lack of music, but I don't know if that's always the case here. Overall, still recommended if you are in the area.

I wanted the best schnitzel in Traunstein and I got it. So crispy, nice and thin and huge. Plus classic fries. Everything was included (cranberries/ketchup/mayo), so you didn't have to order anything extra, you could just take what you wanted. If I want to eat schnitzel again, I'll mainly go here again. Was so delicious. Don’t forget to reserve a table 😉. Ambience 1 point deducted simply because it was a bit loud next to the regulars' table 😂 I'm sorry.
