Stopped in spontaneously and quickly got a table. The service was super nice and helpful. Our personal highlight was the extremely delicious food. We had veal schnitzel, Josef's burger, beef roulade with special request and spaghetti with garlic...everything was perfect. We'll definitely come back again. Thank you for this lovely evening.

A wonderful evening with an excellent 4-course menu! The “amuse-bouche” was a successful introduction, followed by tender cod with Flöns – a highlight of the intermediate courses. The main course, a perfectly cooked piece of deer meat, was ideally complemented by a full-bodied red wine cuvée. For dessert, a fine sweet dish rounded off the evening harmoniously. The bottle of Chardonnay from Styria impressed with its mineral elegance. Particularly pleasing: Andreas Hillejan, like me, comes from a small village on the Lower Rhine – a charming surprise! Perfect service and pure enjoyment – we’ll be happy to come back!

Amazing india food, very authentic. Better than any other indian i tried in europe. Mango lassi is amazing. We tried tawa panner and bindi masala with Garlic naan and omg we were amazed with the taste. Must try if you are in Mittenwald. Parking options available near by. Also a good area to walk around town and street shopping.

Fantastic food at fair prices and pleasant service. The pork fillet with port wine sauce was a poem - tender meat and intense sauce! The only downside is the location is a bit out of the way.

A delicious wine, small but delicious snacks to eat in a cozy atmosphere with a friendly landlady and the evening is over

We ordered Mittenwalder schnitzel and goulash from the local game. The schnitzel is very delicious, but the potato is overcooked and tasted bitter. I highly recommend it! But the goulash is not that good… it is super dry… and unfortunately, they is indeed prepared in microwave in their small kitchen, I have to say that the flavor is much better than what you can expect from the microwave. We also tried Mittenwald beer, very good! Maybe because we speak English, so the service was not that good. Atmosphere was okay, just tables were too crowded. But it is cozy.

Stopped in for lunch on a nace day and it wasn't too packed. Good food and a great spot to sit outside and people watch. Very zen.

We visited the place on New Year's Eve, where the friendly staff made us a table for two, despite the practically full house. Despite the full house, after 5 minutes we received the good Mittelwald lager made in the local brewery, our brown beer and an Obster schnapps. After drinking our beer, the main course came and we had a nice side dish. The taste and quality of the food was impeccable. We ended our meal with a teddy bear splash, for which we received an ice cube containing a raspberry in the shape of a flower. We will come back here..! In retrospect, we thank you for the kind service, the opportunity to get a table despite a reservation on New Year's Eve and an almost full house!!

4.60 euros – that’s the program here. Elderberry spritzer, cappuccino or any other drink – 4.60 euros! The beautiful Brunnsteinhütte has had a new tenant since 2024, and therefore new prices. Unfortunately, keeping hut hikes affordable for everyone is no longer part of the program here. If a simple drink like an elderberry spritzer or ski water - i.e. syrup and tap water - already costs 4.60, it's better to bring your own drinks here (of course, please don't drink them in the hut!). Thanks to the material cable car and the nearby Mittenwald, delivery conditions are not particularly difficult. Yes, maintaining a cabin costs money, even after a year of higher inflation. But pricing should also be done with a sense of proportion, and unfortunately that didn't happen here. The snack board - at 18 euros, not an option for those on a tight budget - is just about acceptable if you share: 4 slices of bread + the toppings on offer are enough for two slightly hungry hikers, but if breakfast was more than two hours ago, it's a rush the cake (was quite tasty for a hut) – of course for 4.60 euros… Dear hut team, please reconsider your pricing, then everyone will benefit from it! The huts are there for everyone - that's the DAV concept, it's in every Panorama magazine! >>> Addition from 10/12/24: Dear Brunnsteinhütten team, you commented on my post with "The prices are the same at all AV huts in the area" - that is clearly not the case, the AV hut closest to you is already significantly (!) cheaper, example ski water: your 4.60 - Neighboring hut 3.50. Unfortunately, you won't get away with this when checking the facts...
