Service & Food: 11/10 - one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. Thank you very much!

We recently had the pleasure of spending a fantastic evening in this welcoming restaurant. Although there was a notice at the entrance that said it was already fully booked for several days, we dared to spontaneously ask for a place. A really nice reception, despite the hut being full and a lot to do, we were suggested to come back in 30 minutes so there would be room for us. That's how it was and we ate and drank very tasty. The operators of this cute restaurant put their heart and soul into their work! Absolutely recommended and if we didn't just vacation here, we would certainly be regular guests🤗 Thank you again and see you soon!

First of all, the service couldn't be better, super warm host who takes time for his guests and takes care of everything lovingly!!! The food was very tasty and the portion was very large. I think I have never been so full after a schnitzel (cortina) and half a Kaiserschmarrn. The cheese spaetzle was also very tasty. (There are even vegan options, we ate the sausages and they tasted really good too) Would like to give 6 stars, very, very good!

Super warm host who takes time for his guests and cares about their well-being. The food was super tasty and the portions were all very large. There was something to suit everyone from delicious cheese spaetzle, various schnitzels and vegan grill options. There are also more hygiene products in the bathroom than you can use. You can tell this restaurant is run with passion and we would come back at any time.

When hospitality and service is a calling, it creates a feel-good factor that is difficult to top. The food stood out from the rest of the place in terms of variety and price/performance and was also surprised by the variety of vegetarian and vegan dishes, even though we didn't try them. An honest recommendation that also includes a four-legged companion.

Very tasty food with classic dishes, some with new and interesting interpretations. Great selection of both meat and vegetarian/vegan dishes. In addition, exceptionally warm hosts and a great ambience. Very tasty selection of schnapps and the dog was also looked after deliciously!

Cozy traditional atmosphere with attentive, nice and friendly service. When eating, classics and interpretations of them are offered. Vegan dishes are also offered daily. The final round of schnapps with South Tyrolean drops rounds off the evening and you know you'll definitely come back ☺️ Personal note: during today's thunderstorm, the landlord even offered to drive us to the hotel in a dry car... how much more hospitality could there be?

Exceptionally (!) warm service! Every wish was fulfilled and at the same time very fair prices and delicious food. I can really recommend everyone to stop by here. Although the menu is meat-heavy, there is always the option of choosing meat alternatives. Therefore also recommended for vegetarians! Thank you for the lovely evening! You really felt like you had been a regular for 10 years :).

By far the best value for money in Mittenwald. Very warm welcome. Dogs are welcome. The food is really first class. Other restaurants have shamelessly exploited inflation. Here the prices were only adjusted very moderately and the quality still remained very good.

Rarely have I met such a warm, authentic and friendly host as here. The world is still in order there and you get delicious food at reasonable prices and great service. It's simply humanity that counts here. We'd love to come back!

EXCELLENT! I emphasize expressly!!! We have never, really never experienced such honest hospitality in the entire Alpine region from Lindau to Salzburg, via Carinthia to Tyrol!!! Very fair prices, great regional quality and a rustic, cozy restaurant in winter and summer. Child-friendly and super sweet, or where can squeezeies ​​and practice eggs as well as pens and coloring books be available for children without asking? The menu is very nice and everyone will find what they are looking for, regardless of whether it is a starter, a main course or the Kaiserschmarrn for afterwards. Please make a reservation in advance, unfortunately it didn't work out for our spontaneous attack without a reservation, but we received a very warm welcome the next evening. Conclusion: We will come back often, thank you very much!!!

The best place to eat in MIttenwald.

Absolute recommendation! The food is excellent and plentiful and the landlord is completely attentive to his guests - and there were plenty of them present that evening because the restaurant was fully booked. We made another reservation straight away, we liked it that much.

The food was very, very good (please note, it's not a Michelin-starred kitchen, it's good, home-style). Service outstanding. An innkeeper with his heart in the best place. We were there today (unfortunately) for the first time and were greeted like well-known guests. Very child-friendly (games for children are available on the table (upon reservation)). Food is very good in terms of price, especially for the children (children's schnitzel €4!!!). Highly recommended but be sure to reserve early! We would like to come back in December.

That's what I call a gastronomy experience. Super cozy restaurant, friendly restaurateur. Our dog will certainly remember the warmth and the pampering program for a long time. The food tasted just great. How should I describe it? It was beautiful all around. Thank you very much for everything, including the lovely snacks. And I love Kaiserschmarren. Here we ate it for dessert. It was almost impossible because we were so full. But curiosity won out and so we shared it. Super super delicious. That's the same thing with Kaiserschmarren. Highly recommended here. If you want to be pampered here, you should definitely make a reservation. Thank you 🥰

For us the best restaurant in Mittenwald. I would also give the service a 6*. The boss is unique and spreads a good mood. It goes without saying that the food is plentiful and excellent. Be sure to make a reservation. Is usually fully booked for 1 week.

Just really delicious... The portions are more than sufficient. My daughter had a children's portion and even got a surprise egg and 2 lollipops. Service simply cannot be beaten, and there was also home-made schnapps at the end. I would like to give 10 stars but unfortunately there are only 5. Be sure to pre-order.

Wir waren heute in diesen wunderbaren Lokal essen und es war einfach alles Perfekt. Das Ambiente ist super, das Essen war mega und das Personal (vor allem der Gastwirt) waren so toll. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen und können das Lokal nur weiter empfehlen.

Gran descubrimiento! Restaurante con un ambiente rural y típico de Bavaria. La comida de 10 y el trato excelente. La próxima vez que este por aquí seguro que repetimos. El propietario muy amable durante toda la estancia.

Einfach nur schön hier zu sein. Essen schmeckt vorzüglich. Das gesamte Team ist unheimlich freundlich. Wir fühlen uns immer sehr willkommen und verlassen das Haus mit dem Wissen, dass wir wieder kommen.

So ein tolles Lokal…🥨 Haben vorsichtshalber schon 1 Woche im voraus reserviert. Es ist immer voll und sehr schwierig einen Platz zu bekommen. Wir waren gestern zum ersten (und sicher nicht zum letzten) Mal in diesem wunderschönen Gasthaus. Wir waren 4 Personen und sind sehr herzlich, professionell und aufmerksam bedient worden. Neben dem wirklich außerordentlich sympathischen Gastwirt ist auch die Küche hervorzuheben. Unser Essen war wirklich super lecker (typisch bayrische Küche) und sehr reichlich. Preis/ Leistung fanden wir alle eher zu günstig für das Gebotene. Wir wünschen weiterhin viel Freude an der Arbeit und maximale Erfolge!

Wow! wir haben noch nie einen Wirt mit soviel Herz erlebt, Service steht ganz ganz oben. für unseren Sohn wurden mehrere nagelneue Spielzeuge ausgepackt. (vom Dominik: Danke lieber Wirt das ich das mit nach Hause nehmen durfte :-) Das Essen bekommt übrigens 11 von 10 Punkten ;-) . Wir waren sehr spät dran und konnten leider keinen freien Tisch mehr ergattern. Jedoch war, ich glaube, der Chef gerade draußen am Salz streuen. Er hatte kurz überlegt und hat mit uns eine Lösung gefunden, sodass wir heute doch unser Essen von diesem Gasthaus mitnehmen konnten. Die Kässpatzen sind echt super! Auch die veganen Cevapcici waren super lecker. Vielen Dank an das Gasthaus & die freundlichen Mitarbeiter die das möglich gemacht haben. Wir sind absolut begeistert und werden wieder kommen, sobald wir wieder in Mittenwald sind.

Wir sind seit ein paar Tagen in Mittenwald, waren jedem Abend essen aber die Gunglstubn war mit Abstand das beste Restaurant. Hier stimmt das Ambiente, das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, der sehr nette Service und vor allem die Qualität der Küche. Wir werden in den letzten Tagen unseres Aufenthaltes auf jeden Fall nochmal dort essen. Die Portionen sind sehr großzügig bemessen. Wer hier nicht satt wird, sollte mal zu einem Arzt gehen (-: Noch ein Tip: Wer über eine Nachspeise nachdenkt, sollte bei der Bestellung des Hauptspeise auf eine etwas kleinere Portionsgröße hinweisen. Dann klappt das auch mit dem Dessert.

Nettes Lokal mit Herz. Selbst unser Hund wurde verwöhnt. Sehr leckere Speisen und top Qualität. Wir kommen wieder.
