Nice host.. Food was great. Loved their company.. warm welcome and cozy ambience and what a pictureque city...

Food is very good! Delicious. Service very nice and nice friendly people. Only located on a street where cars also drive (slowly). That's a shame. But for the food I like to come back.

The food is amazing also the staff.

The restaurant is ok. We ordered Chai, Papdi Chat, Dal Tadka, Shahi Paneer and Channa Masala with Naan, Lacha Paratha and Aloo Paratha. It tasted ok. The waiter was trying to be funny but turned out to be a bit annoying. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant unless you can’t find any other place. Not worth the money.

As an Indian, this so-called biryani was a big disappointment. Just plain rice and dry chicken — no masala, no flavor, no aroma. Definitely not real biryani.

Very nice Indian restaurant at the heart of Mittenwald. Great food and amazing service. Compared to many Indian restaurants in Germany here you will find authentic Indian taste. We tried two two Biriyanis and two rice dishes with Lassie and Chai Masala. Everything was up to the mark. Highly recommended.. !!

I really enjoy eating here. The service is 11/10 (excellent). The ambiance is okay too. What really bothers me, however, is that the meat portions are very small. They're stretched with potatoes that aren't on the menu. So for 15 to 20 euros you don't even get 100 grams of small pieces of meat, but there are a few really fatty potatoes mixed in to fill the pot. I've eaten here many times and it always was and still is. Especially in Mittenwald it can't be that difficult to get fresh lamb, for example, for little money; EVERYONE here has sheep. If that changes, 5/5 everywhere, 3/5 for me. Because in a restaurant it's mainly about the food and not the rest.

Was there on a Saturday evening, the service was absolutely friendly and accommodating. The food was fresh and special requests were fulfilled. The taste is great and the portion size is sufficient. The waiting time until the food was ready was absolutely reasonable… A greeting from the kitchen is served in advance with various dips. Conclusion: value for money: great I'd love to come back.

Fast service and very attentive. The food was also very good and plentiful. True with a voucher book on our cell phone, it went without any problems even though we didn't have the original book with us. Always my pleasure.

I don't know from where to start. We visited the restuarant today for a quick snack break and the experience was totally wonderful. The first thing that catches the eyes are both the exterior and the interior of the restaurant. When the outside is decorated with the historical mural/ fresco paintings, the inside is a fresh breeze from India. Neat and clean and tastefully decorated. The Papdi Chaat and Samosas were vesy tasty. The tastiest and most fresh Samosa I have ever eaten in Europe. The Chai was the best. They didn't charge us for the Chai. Very well behaved, caring staffs. Unfortunately we couldn't stay for dinner as we had to start our return journey to Frankfurt. Visiting again in Easter or Summer for sure. ❤️❤️❤️

One of the best places in Germany

We had a lovely evening here with delicious food. We had a tandoori specialty with spinach and ginger, a delicious curry and butter chicken. Plus rice and naan. Everything fresh and very tasty. The mango lassi was also super tasty. The restaurant is nicely decorated and the service is courteous and friendly.

We received a very friendly welcome. The food was very good, as was the timing: everyone at the table received their main course at the same time. As always, there was nothing to complain about! We'll definitely be back. Fresh food at a fair price with good service.

An Indian restaurant that doesn't accept Indians. They accepted a German without a reservation, but not me. Answer: Easy for you to do. When I came in, there was a German or European in front of me. He asked the waiters if I could sit here, and the waiters said okay. No question, just okay. So when I asked, they asked me about the reservation and clarified that a reservation was necessary. That was completely cruel and unethical of you. It's completely clear that you only serve German or European people. It's strange that you want to hide that. In any case, I would never do that with you, and I'm also posting this on social media.

Today, my family and I had our first Indian dining experience. Even though the exterior may not be immediately inviting and seems a bit dark, this is an excellent place. From the pleasant welcome to the very attentive (not pushy) waiters, you can feel the service spirit everywhere. The food was delicious and pleasantly seasoned. The portions served were generous and left no one hungry. We will definitely come back during our vacation.

The food was surprisingly super delicious and authentic for an alpine town in Bavaria. The staffs were friendly and attentive. We had garlic Nan, mutton Rogan Josh, dal makhni and chicken saag and all of the dishes were super good.

We ate here three times in a week, and everything was excellent. The wait staff is very friendly and Ali is the best. When you are in Mittenwald and get tired of eating German food, this is the best place to go. It’s actually some of the best Indian food we’ve ever eaten anywhere.

I am from the USA and have traveled relatively extensively and this is the best Indian food I have found in the Western Hemisphere. Immaculate, amazing all around. I highly suggest the Samosas, Garlic Naan, and Chicken Tikki Masala.

There were three of us there today and we had Chana Masala, Mango Chicken and Bhindi Ghost. Plus garlic naan. You always got the rice for free, the food was very tasty, our 6 year old also really enjoyed it. There were also 2 schnapps and a mango cream on the house. The waiters were very attentive and friendly. We would come here again and again.

Maybe the best meal we have had in Germany! Definitely recommend, even if you haven't had Indian food. The Naan bread was rediculous! Five Stars!!

I ate shrimp biryani with them and it was beautiful. I visited it on September 16, 2024, and the weather was rainy and cold. My friend ate with Peter Chicken from them, but of course it does not compare to the restaurants we have, but that is the case.

We went there spontaneously for lunch yesterday when we were in Mittenwald for a day trip. The waitresses were very nice and accommodating, the food came quickly and was super tasty, the lamb was very tender, the sauce had a very slight spiciness and you could taste the delicious herbs and spices. Pappdam, naan and the dips were super tasty. The prices are moderate. We'll definitely be back!

Well Well Well, I did Not expect to find a good Indian Restaurant in a small town Like Mittenwald. The food is authentic and tastes great. Exactly what I would want from an Indian Restaurant. The service is super Kind and even though that one Guy is Not the best at small Talk ;) He Sure Likes to do it. If you Like Indian food then this is the place. No questions asked. They also do Take away If you fancy eating at Home.

Authentic Indian cuisine, very tasty and served hot. Service staff are very attentive and as a guest you feel in good hands without the stress and hecticness of service. Eating is fun here. Many inns in Mittenwald would be happy to learn a lesson here. Thank you ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We ate there on August 22nd, 24. Service and food were excellent. The portions are really big. Everyone was very attentive and friendly, I can only recommend them.

Its a very good place, if you want to dine in or dine out its a good place , if you go for a dine out you will see the awesome view and a good view of the town and if you dine in thats also good. We ordered chicken soup, chicken tandoori, and tawa paneer it was awesome and delicious and the service was too good there is a guy called ‘ALI’ awesome customer service. ANd if you are Indian and get lucky you might get a special CHAI as a complementary . Highly recommended.

Nice service, but the food was below average. We would have selected vegan options but there was a lack of vegetables. Also the vegetarian dishes hardly had vegetables in it so it was mainly a curry sauce. I would have liked dishes with more fresh ingredients.

Amazing india food, very authentic. Better than any other indian i tried in europe. Mango lassi is amazing. We tried tawa panner and bindi masala with Garlic naan and omg we were amazed with the taste. Must try if you are in Mittenwald. Parking options available near by. Also a good area to walk around town and street shopping.

The food is really delicious and the price-performance ratio is great. Be sure to order the Garlic Nan for just €3.50. The service was very attentive and regularly asked if we were missing anything or if we would like some free rice. We'd love to come back.

Very good food near Garmish and the service is excellent

The food was delicious, but the service was annoying. Yes, the waiters were nice, but they came every few minutes and asked if everything was OK, so you couldn't eat in peace. Moreover, one of the waiters kept blowing his nose instead of blowing it, which was very distasteful. What else really irritated me were the flies that landed on every dish, I had to keep swatting them away and even though the food wasn't bad, it still left a bad taste.

We had dinner there. We asked the cellar for a lunch menu and he told us yes we still had lunch. But he still gave us ale cards.  Then I spoke to him again.  Then he put it out there.  I ordered chilli panner. The portions were very small for the price. The taste of the food itself has nothing to do with Indian.

Amazing food and amazing people running the restaurant. Do not miss out on the chicken tikka and tandoori it was just lip smacking good, something you only find in a good Desi restaurant. In veg, do not miss out on veg kadhai/ mix veg. The restaurant manager there was so kind, along with the bar tender, kept on offering us things like onion, lemon, chillies, papad, tea and dint even charge for this, ofcourse we made sure to tip. We enjoyed the food, and the hospitality. Its just the cutest little place with the best possible Desi food you can ask for in such a small town and very reasonably priced. I would definitely return for a chicken tandoori & tikka next time.

Went there for dinner today with my daughter. After initially doubting whether it was right for our taste and it was quite crowded outside, we were ultimately very pleasantly surprised!!! I accidentally knocked over my drink - in no time the table was re-set and the boss? even had kind words left! There was no feeling that the waitresses were in any way annoyed or stressed.... We had to wait a little, but the food came to the table very fresh and appetizing! As an apology, my daughter was given the very tasty mango cream with vanilla ice cream at the end (due to the waiting time). When it came to the bill, the boss insisted that I only pay for 1 drink, as the drink I knocked over was my own fault... That's how I imagine "eating out" in this day and age! Very pleasant staff, attentive and despite the waiting time (should be a topic), a satisfied feeling when saying goodbye... even then they took time for 2.3 personal words... CONCLUSION: 6 STARS!!! Positive: Dal Makhnni Negatives: - pakoras were not great. - Got us wrong order for bread (naan instead of roti) - Charged us a higher amount than in the menu for 2 items!- This was unprofessional. - Only accept Girocard and cash (no mastercard or visa)

Enjoyed a wonderful meal of Amritsari Jheenga (prawns) and Chicken Tika. We were seated immediately by the lovely hostess and greeted by the restaurant manager. We ordered pappadum and the 3 sauces were distinctive and flavorful. The restaurant was beautiful and comfortable. Food was prepared quickly and expertly by the chef. The manager checked with us during the meal to be sure that we were pleased, which we were. We highly recommend this lovely restaurant for its food and its ambiance.

First of all, this restaurant opens after 8pm so if you are arriving this town hungrily, come here! The owner is very friendly, and the atmosphere is quite nice. Just the food is not that good. We ordered vegetable parantha and it was tasty. But it was very soft so might not be freshly made. We also ordered grill mix, except one small lamb, everything else are just chicken! It is ridiculous for 22.9 euro. Also the meat is not fresh……

A colorful Indian restaurant with a view of the mountains, brightly decorated. The food is very tasty, you can ask to cook it not spicy. Lamb, soup, mango chicken fillet are delicious, but the fried curd balls dessert is too fatty and sweet, it floats in syrup.
