Loving this place big time. Friendly, tasty, authentic. Loving the atmosphere inside the railway station and the simple interior like a simple kitchen anywhere in the world.

The price-performance ratio is really bad in this restaurant! The portion consists of just rice and 2 small pieces of meat. Not again!

The best restaurant in Heidelberg, the staff makes you feel at home, very nice, polite, so much kindness and good service, and the taste is incredible, spent all my money on everyday Double Penne spicy bolognaise, i became addicted, many thanks to the chef and the staff, you're doing a wonderful job guys

The landlord and landlady are nice The food is tasty and affordable. And the drinks are always nice and cold. What more do you need?

Es ist ein wunderbar eingerichtetes und super modernes Restaurant! Die Bedienungen sind alle sehr zuvorkommend zu uns gewesen und haben haben uns bestens beraten! Innovative und kreative Gerichte die ich so noch nie gegessen und gesehen habe :) aber auch die "bodenständigeren" Esser finden eine Pasta und Pinsa für sich! Insgesamt ein toller Abend, der uns von Anfang bis Ende abgeholt hat. Ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen mit fantastischen Essen und Ambiente !

Germans seem to obsessively love Italian food, and this restaurant was recommended to us. I've had Italian food in 4-5 countries, and can say with confidence this was average Italian food. Safe, not spicy, tastier than German food, and the price was good, 12 euros or so at lunch. The pizza was fine, the lasagne was good, and the chicken was average. The salad was average. The Italian server and bartender were extraordinarily friendly and we had a nice visit and were attentively served. Their kind attitudes garner the four-star review. Thanks for lunch!

The chairs are very uncomfortable. Service was friendly and good. The pizza crust could have been a bit thicker; the taste was a 4/10. The price for three people, including a child, was €48. I think that's a bit excessive. Charging €9.50 for a child's portion. I ordered pasta: Spaghetti Bolognese. They served penne pasta with minced meat sauce. More minced meat than anything else.

Quaint inn with delicious German cuisine.

We had a poke bowl and pho here, both with tofu. The tofu was deliciously fried and crispy. Both dishes were very fresh and clearly recommended in the vegetarian version.

Be carful with their booking system, which charges 200€ for deposit. We had made a reservation for lunch, and it has been cancelled as the restaurant did not offer lunch. However, one year later, I’m still waiting for the 200€ deposit to be returned to my bank account. 2 emails, 0 response. Updates in April 2025: pls check your email box info@der-kleine-spanier.de, I’ve sent you two requests on Nov 14 2023 and Jul 8 2024, with all the details. I’ve double checked my credit card and PayPal. No refund been returned. Thanks

Here you can really get the best schnitzel and cordon bleu with different fillings, tender and juicy, as well as delicious fried potatoes and mixed fresh Handschuhsheimer salad at reasonable prices. More than 10 years ago we came across this consistently good location thanks to Schlemmerblock. Yesterday we were able to convince friends of this too, which wasn't difficult at all. They were also very enthusiastic and also praised the friendly staff. Stay and keep it up!!
