If I could give more stars than 5 I would like to... Staff is very helpful, nice, food is perfect, more than perfect, good atmosphere in the restaurant too, I am very happy that I found this restaurant. I've been to several Italian restaurants abroad but have never eaten anything so professional and so delicious (abroad).

Il Gladiatore Kircheim restaurant served delicious pizza. However, the service was lacking; the lone server was rather presumptuous and kept the change as a tip without asking. They only accept cash, not cards, so rounding fives to tens is done without asking. The atmosphere was decent but didn’t quite make up for the service issues. Overall, a good meal but with room for improvement.

One of the best addresses if you want to enjoy Italian cuisine. The pizza was exactly how an Italian pizza should be and the pasta sauce was absolutely delicious.

Rarely have I had such a good pizza, really delicious and such a crispy edge.

Great Italian. Great daily recommendations, superbly cooked. Everything very delicate, with great service. Although there is little wine selection, there are very good selected wines (unfortunately a bit expensive but you can be prepared for that). I will come here very often.

It was my birthday last Friday and I reserved a table for 11 people. The maestro from Il Gladiatore gave my family and me a wonderful evening that will never be forgotten. From the aperitif to the starters to the dishes on the daily menu and dessert, everything was on point. I would like to thank the Il Gladiatore team for the charming service and for singing "Happy Birthday..." for me. Hopefully the weather will be great again next year for my birthday, then I'll come back to see you with my guests. Grazie di tutto, Christian

Great food, great staff, great and calm atmosphere. Really a little secret place because it is so beautifully located in the field and you just don't expect such a great restaurant there. But we really enjoy going there! :) A bit of Bella Italia in Germany. :)

Nice outdoor area, great service, great pizza bread

Great dining experience. We visited with friends and had a great time. The place is not too loud, we were able to communicate at the table. First we sat outdoors in the Biergarten but the rain and wind forced us to move inside. You should try the carpaccio and lasagna.

Very good food, nice service that, in addition to impeccable professionalism, also has a sense of humor. In addition to the classic menu, there is regularly a board with daily specials that are read out and explained to guests. From appetizers to dessert, we always had a good time. My favorite are the pappardelle with strips of beef fillet and porcini mushrooms, but the pizzas are also all flawless. Above all, the eye also eats here. What is also particularly noteworthy are the Schobbe glasses for wine spritzers. In short: nothing remains to be desired. Every visit here feels like a vacation in Italy. I come here regularly, super tasty, always top daily specials, a bit expensive but it's worth every cent. Great atmosphere, nice and quiet and the service takes care of every wish with a lot of passion. One of my favorite restaurants in Heidelberg!

First of all, everyone who is confused by their navigation system, the restaurant is really in the field 😉 Although there are targets from the shooting club hanging everywhere on the wall, a very nice ambience has been created here. You immediately feel at home here. Even in summer you can simply unwind in the beautiful outdoor area. The food is excellent, everything is fresh and lovingly garnished. I would like to make a recommendation on what to try. Unfortunately I can't do that because everything I've tried so far has been delicious. But what I can recommend that it is always served beforehand is the home-baked bread with olive oil. 😊 But now to my personal highlight. This is definitely Davide. He greets you very warmly and always has a smile on his face. After a short time he knew our habits when it came to our drinks. Davide also takes the time for each guest and reads out the weekly menu. With him you not only notice that he enjoys his work, he also lives it. We always feel in great hands here and are happy to come back again and again.

Five of us ate here for the first time on the occasion of my birthday. Unfortunately, due to the bad weather, we had to sit inside and couldn't go into the beer garden, but it's nice and cozy and inviting there. As a starter we shared the bruschetta. We ordered twice from the daily menu (mezzelune with salmon and asparagus and grilled octopus with pasta), two pizzas (il Gladiatore with artichokes instead of shrimp and fried eggplant with ham) and the Cannelloni Al Forno. Everyone was enthusiastic and everyone enjoyed it very much. The prices are in the higher segment, but are more than justified for the food and its great taste. The service was also courteous and very friendly. We felt very comfortable and are looking forward to the next time.

Food was good, but expensive with quite small portions. The service is sometimes a bit impulsive. Ambience was fine. When we arrived we weren't sure at first what the navigation system was telling us. But just follow.

As always, very warm welcome and caring and attentive service! Excellent cuisine, upscale or just good pasta. Anyone expecting a simple club restaurant is wrong here. Our 10-year-old daughter also loves drinking non-alcoholic cocktails here. Thank you very much, see you soon!

You definitely shouldn't expect a "sports restaurant" here, but a high-quality Italian restaurant! Beautifully and quietly located in the fields behind Kirchheim, you can eat well both inside and outside. The service is very courteous and friendly. There is a classic menu with starters and desserts, salads, pasta dishes, pizza, meat and fish and also a changing daily menu with seasonal specialties. The food always tastes very good! It's just (unfortunately) not cheap, with classic pizzas ranging between €14.50 and around €18, and homemade pasta and of course fish dishes cost a good deal more. We still really enjoy going because the overall package just fits!

We were there for the first time yesterday and loved it! We would have loved to try the entire menu. The service was super friendly and the presentation of the large daily menu is a highlight. The pizza is outstanding and the other dishes were all delicious. If you like authentic Italian food, this is the place for you.

The kitchen is very good, but is devalued by the limited service. Everyone is polite and friendly but you can tell they are under pressure.

It was Christmas Day. Restaurant very habitual. Menu only in Italian. Staff very nice. Prices a bit too expensive on this day.

One of the best Italian restaurants we have ever eaten at. Price performance is absolutely fine and the selection of food is great. After talking to the owner, we found out that the toilets (unfortunately not of the same standard as the restaurant) belong to the local shooting club. Dear people from the shooting club: That's not possible, neither for a club nor for a restaurant. A pity! We will definitely eat there again, we'll just avoid visiting the toilet...

In summer the outside location is just beautiful! Likewise, the restaurant inside is beautiful and modern! Staff is very friendly and attentive! The food is delicious and is beautifully prepared the way you want it. My opinion is that everything fits perfectly and that's why I can only recommend it! Just try it out!

Fantastische Speisen, freundliche Bedienung. Sitzbänke, Fußboden und Fenster sollten mal gründlich gereinigt werden.

Spontan nach unsrem Spaziergang vorbeigeschaut. Personal sehr freundlich und immer nen lustigen Spruch auf der Lippe. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und schön angerichtet. Man muss etwas Zeit und Geduld mitbringen, aber es lohnt sich. Wir kommen bestimmt mal wieder vorbei.

Wir waren das erste Mal hier. Wir haben das Restaurant zufällig beim Spaziergang entdeckt. Für uns hat hier alles gestimmt. Sehr nettes Personal im Service und wohl auch einen sehr guten Koch. Essen war sehr lecker 😋. Auch das Preisleistungsverhältnis war vollkommen okay. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder !!!

Es war geschmacklich in Ordnung, mehr aber auch nicht.🤷🏻 Ein sehr kleiner Teller Pasta mit Lachs von der Tageskarte kostet hier etwa 25 Euro. Viele Gäste haben jedoch Pizza gewählt, die normal proportioniert aussah und offenbar auch gut schmeckte. Wer normalen Appetit hat und von der Tageskarte wählen möchte, sollte bedenken, dass er eventuell Vorspeise, Hauptgang und Dessert pro Person bestellen muss, um satt zu werden. Für diese Location, vor allem da es sich um ein Sportheim handelt, empfinde ich den Preis jedoch als „etwas“ zu hoch😅😅… Die Bedienung war durchgehend engagiert und freundlich.👍🏼

Das Essen und der Preis waren echt super. Die Pizza Calzone war überreichlich und hat den nächsten Tag auch noch geschmeckt. Das Ambiente, naja. Ist halt kein Edelrestaurang. Aber sauber und guter Service und ein toller Koch.

Habe für den schon gehobeneren Preis besser gegessen. Service ist bemüht, war aber alleine und somit untsrbesetzt.

Wir hatten das Lokal für eine Trauerfeier für eine geschlossene Gesellschaft gebucht. Das Personal, Essen und Ambiente war super. Auf unsere Wünsche wurde eingegangen und auch kurzfristig Änderungen waren möglich. Vielen Dank für alles! Wir können das Lokal nur weiter empfehlen.

Dieses italienische Restaurant ist mehr als nur ein Geheimtipp. Das Essen ist wirklich hervorragend! Hier wird mit Liebe gekocht und das schmeckt man auch. Zusätzlich wird einem ein Service zuteil, der seinesgleichen sucht. Man fühlt sich sofort wie bei Freunden. Wir freuen uns schon auf das nächste Mal.

Gestern waren wir zum ersten mal im il Gladiatore in Kirchheim. Mit einer gewissen Erwartungshaltung reservierten wir uns einen Tisch im Lokal. Dort angekommen war das Wetter noch so schön, dass wir uns entschieden hatten, im schönen Biergarten zu sitzen. War trotz des im Lokal reservierten Tisch überhaupt kein Problem. Das Lokal wartet mit einer sehr abwechslungsreichen Speisekarte auf und hält auch Tagesspezialitäten vor. Diese hörten sich allesamt so lecker an, dass man überhaupt nicht mehr wusste was man nun bestellen soll... Aber wir würden fündig, beide mit Schwertfischgerichten und hausgemachten Nudeln. Das eine mit Triangoli in Mascarpone-Limettencreme, das andere mit sehr breiten Nudeln und deftiger Sauce mit Zwiebeln und Auberginen. Es war ein Traum, genau wie die Vorspeisenvariation. Vorab gab es ein tolles hausgemachtes Brot und sizilianisches Olivenöl als kleine Aufmerksamkeit. Alleine hier muss man schon aufpassen nicht zu viel vorab zu futtern. Am Ende gab es dann noch die Nachspeisenvariation. Dort waren verschiedene Spezialitäten wunderschön angerichtet. Diese Kalorienbombe war der Hammer, man konnte nicht widerstehen. Die Preise bewegen sich dem Qualitätslevel entsprechend etwas über dem Mittelmaß. Was meines Erachtens aber völlig angebracht ist. Zum stimmigen Gesamtbild trägt aber nicht unerheblich das durchweg nette und gutgelaunte Personal bei. Wir merkten nicht, dass wir das erste Mal in dem Lokal waren. Wir wurden sehr zuvorkommend und sehr freundlich bedient. So geht Restaurant. Weiter so, wir freuen uns schon auf das nächste mal.

Volle Punkte für Essen, Service und Ambiente. Alles andere wäre meckern auf hohem Niveau. Scallopina ,Pizza für Kinder, Tagliatelle Salmone, alles war extrem lecker. Die Kellner zuvorkommend und nett. Pizza ,so wie es sich gehört, in original italienischem Style. Schön krosse Randstücke,leicht zusammen fallend, beim in die Hand nehmen , in der Mitte. Juicy und lecker. Das Fleisch nicht Supermarkt mäßig, bzw nicht verwässert. Der Vorspeisenteller mit einer exzellenten Mortadella und genug vegie Varianten. Spaghetti Sugo ist wirklich nicht einfach. Tomaten sind von Haus aus wässerig. Hier perfekt einreduziert und somit schmackhaft. Gerne wieder Beim heutigen Besuch. Meine Partnerin at überlesen das Schinken auf der Pizza ist. Wir wollten mit dem Kind tauschen. Der Kellner hat darauf bestanden eine neue zu machen. Wahnsinns Service

Wir waren in den Feldern spazieren und haben das Lokal aus Zufall entdeckt. Von außen unscheinbar, mutet eher wie eine Gaststätte an. Aber der Schein trügt! Guter Service, schöne Lage und die Pizza und das Tiramisu waren super lecker! Beste Pizza in Heidelberg und leckerstes Tiramisu, welches ich je in einem Restaurant gegessen habe! Bestes Essen, super netter Service und sowohl draußen wie drinnen sehr schönes Ambiente. Die Dessert Karte sollte man unbedingt auch beachten.

Die Vorspeise der Tagesempfehlung war leider eher lieblos angerichtet und geschmacksneutral. Pizza und Nudeln waren o.k., den Fisch würde ich nicht mehr bestellen. Service mittelmäßig jedoch bemüht (es war viel los). Der Wein war einwandfrei. PS: Nach Überprüfung der Rechnung haben wir in Nachhinein entdeckt, dass uns zu viel berechnet wurde.

Wir waren zu 4 letzten Donnerstag dort. Wir saßen draußen. Das Essen (Pizza, Salat, Fleisch..) war sehr lecker. Der Service schnell, witzig, aufmerksam. Schön abseits gelegen. Gerne wieder!

Ausgezeichneter Italiener. Sehr sehr angenehme ruhige Atmosphäre. Wir haben draußen gesessen. Top. Fischgerichte sind zu empfehlen. Die Dorade war köstlich. Auch die Nudelgerichte schmeckten sehr gut. Wir waren gleich zweimal dort. Der Besitzer sowie die gesamte Bedingung sind sehr herzlich und immer für einen Spass zu haben.

Meine Frau und ich waren zu Pfingsten in diesem Restaurant mit 2 Seniorinnen. Bei den Bestellungen dabei waren 4 Beilagensalate, 2 Pizzen, 1 mal Bruschette, 1 Ceasarsalat und 1 Jägerschnitzel mit Pommes. Die Salate hatten eines gemeinsam: ohne Würze - einfach fade. Eine Pizza war als kleine Version bestellt - die andere ohne Salami. Es wurde 1 Pizza in der Originalgrösse geliefert, die von einer der beiden Seniorinnen nur knapp zur Hälfte verzehrt werden konnte. Die andere Pizza (Calzone) war entgegen der Bestellung doch mit Salami. Meine Frau kritisierte diesen Fehler und erntete nur ein Achselzucken-da wäre doch ein kleines Angebot wie z.B. ein Grappa oder Espresso als Wiedergutmachung ganz nett gewesen-aber das hat ein Edelitaliener (meint er zumindest) nicht nötig. Sie treten ganz großspurig auf, aber es ist viel Luft und nicht viel dahinter. Der Ceasarsalat hatte außer der Optik nichts mit dem Original zu tun - Falsches Dressing und ohne Speck, fade im Geschmack. Das Jägerschnitzel war kaum zu schneiden. Am Ende wollte ich die Rechnung über 101 € mit Kreditkarte bezahlen plus ein kleines wenn auch kaum verdientes Trinkgeld. Es stellte sich heraus, dass nur EC akzeptiert wird und das Trinkgeld nicht über die Karte ginge. In Italien sind überall Kreditkarten möglich - selbst in Ländern der Dritten Welt. Das ist eine unsägliche deutsche Unsitte, die in dem Falle von den italienischen Gastronomen gerne übernommen wurde. Also gab es eine EC-Zahlung ohne Trinkgeld. Geht gar nicht ! Keine Empfehlung !

Sehr freundliche Bedienung man fühlt sich wirklich willkommen. Hervorragendes Essen in top Qualität. Wir werden bestimmt wieder kommen wenn wir in der Region wieder Urlaub machen.

La mia valutazione si basa esclusivamente sulla pizza. I condimenti sono genuini con uso di prosciutto di alta qualità e fior di latte. Il pomodoro è ben condito e l'impasto ben lievitato e piacevole. Continuate così. Complimenti
