Food: zero points! Almost all dishes were swimming in oil!!! The beef salad tasted like it came from a barn. Very disappointing, I don't understand the many positive reviews.

Fantastic evening! There were four of us, we spontaneously got a table on Halloween night and received wonderful service, a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. We were given plenty of time, and children who came in were given sweets, etc., etc.! In the end, 3.5 hours had passed and we didn't know where the time went; it was wonderful and delicious!

A great restaurant. One of the best pizzas in the region!! Everyone is always very friendly and attentive. The only downside is that the kitchen needs a better exhaust system, as the "smoke" lingers in the restaurant.

I ordered penne with meat sauce from a delivery service and got perfectly cooked spaghetti with sauce but no meat. It's always been great so far, but unfortunately, this time it was the exact opposite.

A fantastic restaurant that we love to go to again and again. The food is a bit expensive, but very, very tasty and made with love! A great, relaxed atmosphere with food that matches the aesthetic perfectly. The service is very relaxed and friendly, although it was a bit too relaxed at times, but that has improved. The location in Heidelberg's Weststadt district is also very convenient by bike, car, and train from Bismarkplatz. 👍🏼

Unfortunately, after a two-hour visit, we received an announcement that the table had to be vacated due to a new reservation. It had been mentioned beforehand that the visit would probably take longer due to a birthday. It was a bit annoying!

Si buscas una pizza romana (es decir, una pizza con masa fina), este es el mejor restaurante Italiano de Heidelberg. Saben qué hacer con las berenjenas (pizza parmigiana, melanzane alla parmigiana), algo muy raro en Heidelberg. : - ) El servicio fue lento porque el restaurante estaba lleno, pero nos ofrecieron un excelente limoncello y pasteles gratis para compensar la espera. Personal muy amable. Personalmente prefiero la pizza "estilo Napoli" (pizza gruesa), pero en Heidelberg todavía no existe una buena pizza napolitana :(

Selbstverständlich hatte ich im Rahmen unseres Heidelberger Herbstwochenendes für den Samstagabend eine adäquate Einkehradresse in Laufweite von unserem Hotel ausgekundschaftet und ein paar Tage im Voraus drei Plätze klargemacht. Über das im Frühjahr 2019 in der Weststadt eröffnete „Casa Mia“ hatte ich mal einen Bericht im „Espresso“ (Gastro-Magazin für die Metropolmagazin Rhein-Neckar) gelesen. Dieser war mir noch in positiver Erinnerung. Von den geteilten Meinungen im Netz ließ ich mich nicht beirren, da wollte ich mir schon selbst vor Ort ein Bild machen. Außerdem schienen hier auch Kinder sehr willkommen zu sein. In der Schillerstraße angekommen, empfing uns eine gut gefüllte „Casa“, in der es ziemlich trubelig (und entsprechend laut) zuging. Ein appetitanregender Duft nach deftiger Pizza aus dem Holzofen hatte uns bereits draußen vor der Tür den Mund wässrig gemacht. Durch die bodentiefen Fenster erhielten wir schon da einen ersten Eindruck vom geschäftigen Treiben im Inneren. Unser reservierter Tisch direkt am Fenster wartete im kleineren der beiden ineinander übergehenden Gasträume auf uns. Wir saßen in direkter Thekennähe mit ordentlich viel Durchgangsverkehr, wuseligem Service in Dauerrotation und einer Lautstärke, die jegliche Romantik im Pizzateig ersticken ließ. Gut, dass wir hier nicht zu zweit saßen, so die einhellige Meinung von Frau und Mann am Tisch. Jedoch war es für unsere kleine Entdeckerin genau der richtige Platz, um auch ja alles mitzukriegen, was um sie herum so passierte. Der mit reichlich Leben und wertigem Mobiliar ausgestattete, weiß-grau-gestrichene Gastraum wirkte modern und gepflegt. Auf hellem Holzboden tummelten sich Bistromöbel in verschiedenen Farben und Formen. Die einfachen Holzstühle waren ganz im Sinne eines durchdachten Farbkonzepts rot, grau und weiß lackiert. Sie gruppierten sich um farblich passende Tischgestelle, auf denen die etwas dunkleren, blanken Holzplatten auch ganz gut ohne überdeckende Leinenverkleidung auskamen. Etwas weiter hinten befand sich noch eine stattliche Regalwand, die eine akkurat angeordnete, italienische Flaschenweinsammlung stolz zur Schau stellte. Die darauf befindlichen, Staub anziehenden Dekanter waren hoffentlich nur Deko. Der Service agierte trotz der hohen Auslastung des Lokals stets freundlich und zuvorkommend. Man half uns den Kinderwagen bestmöglich zu parken und war auch schnell mit einem Kinderstuhl zur Hand. Auch die Speisenkarten ließen nicht lange auf sich warten. Für die Kleine gab es die obligatorische, dünn gemischte Apfelsaftschorle (0,2l für 2,70 Euro), meine Frau und ich löschten unseren Durst mit einer Flasche San Pellegrino (0,75l für 6,90 Euro). Später gesellte sich noch ein Glas Montepulciano d’Abbruzzo (0,2l für 8 Euro) hinzu. Ein runder, gut zu trinkender Roter, der sich auch später mit den Speisen gut vertragen sollte. Bereits die zweisprachige (italienisch/deutsch), mit kleinen, ikonischen Zeichnungen versehene Empfehlungskarte machte richtig Appetit. An ihr konnte man bereits erkennen, dass hier mit Liebe zum Detail gearbeitet wird. Der Kürbis pochte mit einer Handvoll Gerichten auf seine saisonale Präsenz. Daneben mischten auch Fisch und Krustentiere kräftig mit. Da kam ich als „Reis-Ender“ in Sachen Meereskost am Risotto alla Crema di Scampi (21,90 Euro) schonmal gar nicht vorbei. Vorneweg durften es gerne noch zwei gefüllte Reisbälle aus dem neueren Rom sein. Eigentlich hatte ich die Supplì (9 Euro) mit Bolo-Risotto-Mozzarella-Füllung bestellt, bekam aber später die Pecorino-Pfeffer-Variante als Vorspeise kredenzt. Kein besonders tragischer Faux-Pas, wie sich bald herausstellen sollte. Für unser Töchterchen mussten mal wieder ein paar Penne aus dem Nudelwasser geholt werden. Die mit reichlich fruchtig-aromatischer Tomatensauce veredelte, auf Biss gekochte „Baby-Pasta“ (9,50 Euro) entsprach dank ihrer zurückhaltenden Würze ganz den noch etwas eindimensionalen, kulinarischen Vorstellungen unserer Kleinen. Geschafft hat sie den Nudelteller trotzdem nicht. Wahrscheinlich wusste sie, dass mit der „Torta Caprese“ noch Schokolade in Kuchenform als Dessert folgen würde. So kamen Mama und Papa auch noch zu ihrem Recht auf Pasta (Menschenrecht!). Meine Frau hatte zuvor die Extrakarte mit den Spezialpizzen – mein lieber „Signore Società Corale“ waren die einfallsreich belegt!! – geflissentlich ignoriert und sich ganz der Pizza „Casa Mia“ (16,50 Euro) verschrieben. Steinpilze, Büffelmozzarella, Rucola und Parmaschinken gaben bei der Belagwahl den Ausschlag. Nur wenige Pixi-Bücher später kamen die Nudeln fürs Kind. Die Küche wusste anscheinend, an wen sie zuerst liefern musste und das war auch gut so, denn es unsere Tochter hatte Hunger und da neigt sie ganz gern mal zu väterlicherseits vererbtem Missmut… Meine beiden Reisbälle aus der Fritteuse trafen nur wenig später ein. Die fielen im Kern wunderbar cremig aus. Auch hier hatte man es mit der Würze nicht übertrieben. Nicht weiter schlimm, da man sie ja mit den auf dem Tisch befindlichen Geschmacksboostern (Pfeffer, Parmesan und scharfes Chili-Öl) nach Belieben nachwürzen konnte. Unsere Hauptgerichte ließen auch nicht allzu lange auf sich warten. Da schien das Küchenteam trotz der vollen Hütte mächtig auf Zack gewesen zu sein. Die nach der Lokalität benannte Rundbackware wurde mit einem ordentlichen Parmesan-Rucola-Teppich geliefert. Der Boden dünn und knusprig – wie sich das für ein tomatisiertes Hefeteigerzeugnis eben gehört. Ob das nun, wie in etlichen Erfahrungsberichten im Netz enthusiastisch gelobt, die beste Pizza von ganz Heidelberg war, kann ich leider nicht beurteilen. Dazu fehlen mir die regionalen Einblicke. Aber ein mit guten Zutaten belegter, fachmännisch im Holzofen gebackener Teigfladen war das allemal. Meine Frau zeigte sich mit dem stimmig auf den Teller gebrachten Backresultat jedenfalls sehr zufrieden. Und auch ich konnte nach einem Probierstück nur anerkennend nicken. Vielleicht rührte meine sichtliche Zufriedenheit aber auch vom eigenen Reisgericht. Ein paar Wochen zuvor durfte ich in Valencia eine fantastische Meeresfrüchte-Paella genießen, was meine Leidenschaft für das so facettenreich einsetzbare Getreide nicht gerade verringert hatte. Dass aber dieser Scampi-Risotto einschlagen würde wie eine „Kaisergranate“, hätte ich nun wirklich nicht vermutet. Voller, angenehm süßlicher Krustentiergeschmack in einem süffig-gekörnten Texturkontext. Das Heraussortieren der Panzerung, der Scheren und der Füßchen war zwar etwas fitzelig – da hatte ich beim valencianischen „Arroz del Senyoret“ deutlich weniger „Arbeit“ –, aber geschmacklich gab es an dem tadellos zubereiteten Reisgericht nicht das Geringste auszusetzen. Und dann diese unwiderstehliche Cremigkeit, die jeden Risotto-Fan in Entzückung versetzt hätte… Gut gesättigt teilten wir uns zum Abschluss noch eine aus guter dunkler Schokolade, geriebenen Mandeln und viel Butter bestehende „Torta Caprese“ (8,50 Euro), die scheinbar gänzlich ohne Mehl gebacken wurde. Diese wurde mit ordentlich viel Puderzucker, gesprühten Sahnetupfern und roten Johannisbeeren (auch als Coulis) serviert. Ein Nachtisch mit viel Süßem und wenig Saurem, der auch nach Halloween bei uns Dreien großen Anklang fand. In die „Casa Mia“ würde ich beim nächsten Heidelberg-Trip sofort wieder einkehren. Dann gerne auch zur warmen Jahreszeit draußen auf dem wahrscheinlich etwas behaglicheren Freisitz auf dem Trottoir der baumbestandenen Schillerstraße. Die Preise empfanden wir als reell. Für Heidelberger Verhältnisse sicherlich nicht überzogen. Ein Extralob geht an den Service, der selbst in stressigen Momenten weder den Überblick noch die Freundlichkeit verlor. Und dann sind da ja noch so verlockend klingende Gerichte wie das Popcorn di Pulpo, die Frittura di Calamari e Gamberi und die Tagliatelle Porcini Salsiccia e Zafferano (um nur ein paar Gaumenfreuden zu nennen), die dringend probiert werden möchten bzw. sollten…

We were lucky today. This place is always fully occupied but today we got a table without reservation. I absolutely love their pizzas. I also strongly recommend the linguine Pastas.

I don't even remember what I ordered but I remember that it was amazing. It was some pizza, that I know. The rest (service, atmosphere) was perfect too! We called just a few hours before we wanted to go and they luckily had a free table :)

The seating at Casa Mia is very pleasant. The service was friendly, and we were served promptly. The weakness of this restaurant is the food. I find it a bit tasteless and a bit overpriced for what it is. My pizza consisted of dough, unseasoned tomato sauce, a bit of torn burrata (maybe half), and arugula. It cost €18.90, which was too expensive. If it had been a whole burrata, I would have considered the price reasonable.

Sat outside on the street on a Saturday evening. A cozy atmosphere, attentive service. The herb garnish on the edge of the pasta is debatable. The salami on the pizza tasted like it did in Italy. Only the garlic in the arrabiata pasta was a bit over the top. But that's a high-level complaint—I'll be back!

On Saturday evening we barely managed to get a table without a reservation. Even though it was full, we didn't have to wait long for the delicious food. All employees were attentive and friendly.

Extensive options for pizza and pasta. Menu is in italian and german but the waiters speak english if you need help. The pasta were all served al dente and the pizza were served with thin crust and all reasonably priced. Toilets were labelled in german with no logo for female or male- so orient yourself before entering. We didn't get any dessert since the gluten from having both pasta and pizza was too much for my tummy. I recommend the quattro formagio pizza and seafood pasta with truffle oil.

Very good if you want to have a good, casual meal. I can think of few Italian restaurants that are this good. Very friendly service. We had a wonderful early evening there.

Chairs are very uncomfortable. Service was nice and good. The pizza base could have been a little thicker, the taste was a 4/10. Price for 3 people including a child, 48 euros. I find it a bit exaggerated. To charge €9.50 for a children's portion. Pasta was ordered: Spaghetti Bolognese Penne pasta with minced meat sauce was served. More minced meat than anything else.

An experience not to repeat for my wife & I. Service is ok, waitress was kind. Portions are great but quality is the problem in our opinion, specially when you take in consideration how much you pay.

I wouldn't recommend it at all. We had to wait 50 minutes between starters and main courses. We had two different pasta dishes, but our pasta tasted exactly the same and was also cooked way too long. Since it took forever for the dishes to arrive, I was no longer hungry at all and wanted to take my food with me. I was thrown on the table a box like in the photo and without a bag (the box was very hot and I couldn't carry it without a bag).

The best pizza in the area, I love the Ufo Pizza. Keep it up. It's always a pleasure to eat at your place or to take it away and enjoy it at home.

It's just a disappointment! The Caprichosа pizza is the worst pizza of my life, just the taste of an unsalted tomato. Shells of disgusting quality, small and tasteless. Stop saving on the quality of the products and hire chefs instead. Absolutely not!

I have lived in Germany for 3 years and after having tried almost all of them, I had decided to give up the pleasure of being able to eat Italian in a restaurant. Some time ago, however, I discovered "my home". I am Italian and I can guarantee that it respects tradition 100%, but not only because it also offers innovative variations, always delicious! I recommend the pizza, by far the best in Heidelberg, the fried fish and more... in short, I recommend everything! The waiters are attentive and kind, always available. As for prices, it's up to you: you can eat for €20 per person or €50.

Am Samstag Abend hatten wir eine Reservierung für 4 Personen. Das Lokal war sehr gut besucht. Trotzdem kam der Service rasch für die Getränke. Neben der Standardkarte gab es eine Sonderkarte mit Pizza und anderen Gerichten. Die Vorspeisen kamen nach kurzer Wartezeit. Das Parmigiana war so wie sein soll mit sehr gutem Auberginengeschmack. Bruschetta mit Oliventapenade, Tomaten. Polli und Arancini etwas geschmacksarm. Das Steak des Hauptgerichts war saftig und zart, hatte etwas mehr Hitze und Röstung vertragen. Nudeln mit Meeresfrüchte war gut und aromatisch. Die Kürbislasagne fehlte der Kürbisgeschmack.

Nach einigen Besuchen in den letzten Jahren muss ich jetzt endlich einen Schlussstrich ziehen. Der Service wurde unterirdisch! gleichzeitig zum Dessert wurde unaufgefordert die Rechnung gebracht da die nächsten Gäste auf den Tisch warten. So leider nie wieder!

Wir waren zu zweit in diesem Lokal. Die Tischreservierung hat problemlos per WhatsApp geklappt. Als Vorspeise htten wir Bruschetta und als Hsuptspeise Pizza. Super, dass es auch Pizza bianche gibt. Habe ich selten in Deutschland gesehen.

Buen restaurante en el centro de Heidelberg. Mi esposa y yo fuimos a almorzar con la hija de un amigo que recientemente comenzó un año de secundaria en el extranjero. Dos de nosotros tomamos una pizza y uno se decidió por los raviolis. Los tres eran felices. El ravioli era una porción encantadora y sabrosa de buen tamaño y venía con un buen tazón fresco de ensalada. Mi pizza napolitana (anchoas, aceitunas, alcaparras, tomates y mozzarella) era como debería ser, nuestros invitados Margarita era una Margarita decente.

If you're looking for really, really, really good food in Heidelberg, you've come to the right place. I have never eaten such a handcrafted pizza. It was simply phenomenal.
