What a nice place to enjoy authentic Chinese cuisine. Our friends introduced us to this place and we had a great experience. The food was delicious, staff were friendly, the ambiance was good. The food was reasonably priced and offered a decent quantity. Overall a very good place. Must visit.

Online pre-ordering doesn't work - I arrived at the restaurant at the specified pickup time, and the waitress copied my order down by hand and passed it on to the kitchen and told me I would have to wait another 20 minutes. When I spoke to the waitress after 25 minutes of waiting and asked about the food, I was simply ignored - the service and the kitchen were simply overwhelmed, as two other customers complained at the same time about the long waiting time and other customers independently worked on the rice cooker behind them Serving the counter - everyone can judge for themselves how hygienic it is

We love coming to Heimway to eat and often pick up something to take home. The service is getting better and better and so far EVERYTHING has always tasted very good. If you can't eat spicy food, you should only order the dishes without the 🌶️ marking. Highly recommended❣️

The food is still very Chinese and authentic! Unfortunately, the service was unsatisfactory as the waitresses were very slow even on a stressful weekend and were no longer friendly when we asked about the food. Hopefully these aspects could be improved next time.

It used to be great, today it's a disaster. Ordered 3 dishes, after about an hour two came, one cold, the other oily, the third didn't come. It has little to do with real Chinese food. Especially not with Chinese service. A pity.

Visit: February 19, 2024 First the good: The food was okay to good, but very oily. There is enough parking space in the area. But: Ordering takes years! By the time you get your food it was already dark. (it took 1-1.5 hours!). The ambience is fine.

Unfortunately, I can't write very well about my visit to the restaurant. The noodles we ordered weren't really hot, but they were nicely prepared. The sanitary facilities were dirty, toilet buckets in the women's area were overflowing and there were at least two spiders in every corner. The floor looks like it hasn't been cleaned in months. But the service was very friendly. Sitting in a restaurant is not a good recommendation.

I have never eaten in such a terrible Chinese restaurant in Germany. It is simply an embarrassment to the Chinese people. The waiter had a bad attitude, the spicy hotpot was watery, the chicken tasted weird, and the drinks felt watery.

I recently visited Heimway and was very disappointed with my experience. The taste of the dishes was terrible. The chicken was of poor quality, and it was tough and bland. Additionally, the rice was poorly cooked and tasted awful. To make matters worse, when I received the bill, I noticed that the prices were higher than what was listed on the menu. This inconsistency is unacceptable and left a bad impression. Overall, I would not recommend Heimway due to the poor quality of the food and the discrepancy in pricing.

Can't understand the positive reviews. When I picked it up, the sticky floor and the smell of grease hit my nose. Food tasteless and completely floating in oil. Inedible for me. My colleague had a roast duck - it was at least crispy but tasteless and was also swimming in oil.

The transportation is convenient, the food is served quickly, and the environment is good. My favorite is the stir-fried green beans. The spicy pepper chicken is not as good as recommended and the spicy oil is not fragrant. The rice balls in the fresh taro-roasted grass jelly are not chewy, and the overall dishes are quite satisfactory. Based on the environment and service, it is considered a good Chinese restaurant in Heidelberg. Update: The more the dishes are cooked, the saltier they become, and the pork trotters, stinky pepper and sesame chicken are even more unpalatable 😂 I don’t know why I don’t want to give up and go back. Even the stir-fried green beans turned out to be unpalatable, fried too oily and salty, and the salt-and-pepper tenderloin was not cooked in the same way. angry

I am traveling around the world with my son, basically all over Europe. The food at this restaurant is really the best Chinese food I have ever eaten, and the price is very affordable! It takes some time to wait, but the ingredients are fresh and totally worth the wait! The most important thing is that the boss is very talkative and friendly, and it can be seen that many of them are regular customers. It is not easy to start a business abroad. Come on boss, I will come back to eat here if I have the chance!

I came from Mainz and often eat in Frankfurt. This restaurant is the best I have ever eaten. Special praise for the ground pot chicken. It tastes good and the portion is large. The pancakes in the pot are also delicious, but they are so hard that my mouth froze. But the juice soaked in the cake is first-class

We gave this restaurant a try for the first time on a Friday afternoon and it was not crowded at all. I have to say, the food was fantastic and definitely makes my top 3 list of places that serves Chongching chicken (la zi ji) - aka my favorite dish. We also ordered the stir-fried dry green beans and dumplings with lamb, and those were really savory as well. The server was really nice and the food was brought out relatively quick. We’ll definitely be back to try other dishes!

Recommended: Chili Sausage, Guobao Pork. The sausage is delicious! The pot meat is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Not recommended: Maoxuewang, potato shreds. The taste of these two dishes was too bland, as if the hot pot base had been boiled and then rinsed in water.

If you are Chinese you can pretend that your are Korean Japanese or whatever but not Chinese. Then you could get a normal service like a customer but not like invisible air floating into the restaurant.

I see room for improvement in two areas though: The restaurant itself is dirty and needs a good cleaning, especially the floor and the bathrooms. Second: I love how many options without meat there are. The labeling (vegan/vegetarian) in the menu could be improved though.

I invited a friend to dinner and ordered the ground pot chicken that I have always liked. The portion was huge, and one dish alone was enough for two people. The other dishes are also delicious, and you can take them away if you can’t finish them. I’ll be too lazy to cook for the next few days.

After reading reviews and recommendations from Xiaohongshu, I drove all the way there. There were not many customers, and the food was served extremely slowly. I went specifically to eat the Guobao Pork, but the result was that I couldn’t make it, so I asked to go there next time. eat. There was only one waiter, so he could only wait and wipe his nose with his hands. I was really speechless. I ordered four dishes in total, and they were all average. The cold pig ears were too hard to chew. After waiting for more than an hour, I wanted to leave halfway through. Who are the people who recommended this restaurant? Worst experience ever, won't go there again. I didn’t want to leave a comment at first, but I just saw someone on Xiaohongshu who talked about Lightning Protection Angelica, so I might as well write a comment. Be careful when reading restaurant reviews in the future. Lesson learned.

After hearing numerous recommendations, I decided to try this restaurant, hoping for a memorable meal. Unfortunately, the experience was far from pleasant. Despite the high expectations set by its intriguing name and the festive season, the reality was a letdown. Firstly, the wait time to be seated and to order was excessively long, even with understanding the busy period. However, what truly marred the experience was the service and the quality of food. The dishes I ordered, specifically the pepper chicken and beef dumplings, were disappointingly bland and bore little resemblance to their traditional flavors. Attempts to address this with the staff were met with dismissiveness. Moreover, the service was erratic and unprofessional. Promises of complimentary drinks were arbitrarily retracted by what appeared to be a manager, who communicated in an incomprehensible dialect and refused to accommodate in English. The waiting staff's behavior further declined into inappropriate personal inquiries and unsolicited matchmaking attempts, creating an uncomfortable dining atmosphere. The evening concluded with a service member's unsolicited comments on personal matters, which were both inappropriate and sexist. The insistence on outdated gender roles and the audacity to critique personal de sions were astounding. An attempt to apologize seemed to place the blame on alcohol consumption, which is unacceptable in a professional setting. The overall experience was one of disappointment and discomfort. The food did not live up to the hype, and the service was below the standard expected of any establishment, let alone one that comes so highly recommended. It's disheartening to see such potential wasted on poor management and a lack of respect for customers. I cannot recommend this restaurant to others and hope that this feedback prompts significant improvements in both cuisine and customer service.

We waited for way too long and dishes are too small :( even though it’s Chinese new year you are busy, you should have organized better, nobody should wait for 2hrs despite of reservation.

I called the store and told them that they were very busy today, and then arranged a seat that was the worst and smallest in the store. My friend got angry and left immediately.

Very tasty food, beautifully presented, which stands out visually and tastefully from the monotony of what is otherwise offered in Chinese restaurants. No wonder so many Asians eat here. And what's also great is that if you order spicy food, the food is actually spicy.

Ein klein bißchen schwer zu finden, wenn man in der Hardtstraße von der falschen Seite kommt, da nur ein relativ kleines Schild über dem Restauranteingang hängt. Beim Eintreten ins Restaurant bemerkt man sofort, hier ist man richtig wenn man authentische chinesische Küche sucht. Kein Schnicknack bei der Einrichtung aber doch ansprechend UND jede Menge asiatische Gäste. Dachte fast wir sind jetzt in China. Der Mitarbeiter welcher die Bestellungen annahm, die Getränke brachte, abräumte und noch die telefischen Bestellungen annahm war richtig im Stress, was Ihn aber nicht davon abhielt uns freundlich zubegrüssen und auf Fragen zur Bestellung einzugehen. Top!!! Schon nach kurzer Zeit kam das Essen. Was soll man sagen, sehr lecker, viel, heiß. Kleine Anmerkung: beim Bestellen darauf achten ob eine Chilischote neben dem Gericht steht. Hot heißt hier wirklich scharf. Wirklich topppppp. Wir kommen wieder.

Heimway ist einfach ein richtig gutes Restaurant! Das Essen ist immer lecker und man muss nie lange auf die Bestellung warten. Ich möchte aber vor Allem den Service loben: Das Personal ist stets freundlich und zuvorkommend. Nach vielen Bestellunge hatte ich ein einziges Mal eine falsche Speise in meiner Bestellung. Kein Ding - sowas kommt vor. Nach einem Anruf habe ich direkt die richtige bekommen und die Jungs haben sich ganz nett entschudigt. Super Essen - sympathische Leute!

Wir sind schon lange Kunden bei diesem Restaurant! Das Essen ist fantastisch jedoch ist die Wartezeit wenn man Essen online vorbestellt wirklich oft sehr viel zu lange. Wir hatten eine halbe Stunde vorher online vorbestellt und dennoch im Restaurant noch eine Halbe Stunde gewartet. Sowas kann einfach leider nicht sein :/

We only ordered for take out, but the portions were bigger than other places. Also the food was a lot more interesting that we've had elsewhere. It seems like its a lot more authentic than the westernised dishes we usually get. The spicy dishes we actually spicy, which seems rare in Germany. Ordering online was also easy (no delivery though). I'd definitely order again and would also like to check out the restaurant sometime.

Really authentic chinese restaurant with big portions! They even have the menu Meicai Kourou, which is really hard to find here in Germany! The waiter/owner is really friendly. I went here on their chinese national day and they had this lucky draw. I drew a 10% discount! All in all it was a nice experience and I will definitely come back there again despite that I live 50km away ❤️

Excellent recommendations for the staff - beware that spicy means spicy :-) Vegetarian options are plentiful and delicious. Views are not particularly scenic but let’s be honest, that’s not why you’re going here, is it?

Exzelentes chinesisch-uigurisches Restaurant! sehr zu empfehlen! vor allem für alle, für die "chinesisch" nicht gleich Kanton food (chop suey, etc. ) ist. sehre autentisch, sehr freundlich, obwohl etwas chaotisch. während meines Besuches waren 90% chinesische Gäste dort; wenn das keine Aushängeschild ist!

Sehr leckere Auswahl. Die Basics wie gebratene Nudeln schmecken super lecker und auch das knusprige Hühnchen war super frisch. Vorspeisen wie Gyoza super lecker und groß (Preis-Leistung 1A). Authentische Gerichte wie den Gurkensalat mit Tofu kann ich nur empfehlen. Hatte ich noch nie gegessen und hat mich wirklich überzeugt!

Wer wirklich authentische chinesische Küche probieren möchte, ist hier richtig. Und das finden scheinbar nicht nur ich, sondern auch alle zahlreichen anderen Chinesen, die dort verkehren. Das gute Essen entschädigt völlig für das etwas unglückliche Ambiente, welches doch sehr schlicht und eher den Charakter eines Büros als den eines Restaurants hat. Aber das ist mir bei der sehr guten Qualität des Essens egal.

锅包肉很好吃啊！我没在德国吃过更好吃的了，如果有，希望能推荐给我。锅包肉外壳很脆，里面的肉厚度适中，挂汁均匀，不会齁到但口口有味儿。除此之外，我们还点了豆花牛肉，豆花微酸，我猜用醋点出来的（瞎说的）。牛肉浆过，比较嫩。我点单的时候说希望辣一点，最后也很满意，不会像某些餐厅勾芡全世界，或者满盆辣椒却没有辣味儿。我属于能吃辣的，对辣度非常满意。 服务态度也很好，虽然很忙，但是有需求都尽快满足了。周边的锅包肉爱好者可以试试。 麻辣拌很一般，希望老板快快改进，这玩意千人千味。

Das Essen war letztes Jahr sehr viel besser. Leider war der gebratene Reis relativ kalt & die Entenstücke darauf doppelt trocken. Die Reisbandnudeln waren zu fest & ölig! Schade!

Ein kleines, unscheinbares Restaurant, jedoch ein richtiger Geheimtipp. Wenn man mal richtig authentisch chinesisch Essen gehen will und keine Angst vor Neuem hat, dann sollte man das Heimway besuchen! Man wird von netten Kellnern begrüßt und bekommt daraufhin perfektionierte chinesische Speisen. Eine absolute Geschmacksexplosion, welche nicht einmal viel kostet, sehr weiter zu empfehlen.

Das Essen hat mir gut geschmeckt. Endlich mal keinen eingedeutschten all you can eat Standard den man sonst so als chinesische Küche vorgesetzt bekommt. Allerdings muss ich zugeben, das Ambiente ist nicht wirklich toll. In dem an sich schönen Gebäude könnte man mehr draus machen als einen etwas billig anmutenden Speisesaal der eher Mensacharakter hat. Und ohne meine chinesische Begleitung hätte ich es vermutlich nicht geschafft mir was zu essen zu bestellen. Man musste unbedingt per Smartphone sein Essen bestellen und zwar auf einer Seite auf der alle Gerichte nur in chinesischer Schrift stehen. Authentisch hin oder her, was ist bitte so schlimm daran die Essensbestellung ganz normal aufzunehmen. Bei den Getränken geht’s ja auch. Naja, ob man aber nit der etwas grimmig lustlos dreinblickenden Kellnerin mehr als zwingend nötigen Kontakt haben möchte ist die andere Sache. Online Order hat schon Vorzüge, aber dann bitte mehrsprachig wie das schon bei jedem Strickliesel Onlineshop geht. Wie gesagt, Essen passt, zumindest meinte meine chinesische Begleitung es wäre schon halbwegs authentisch.

Nach meiner Chinareise vor 3 Jahren kann ich sagen, dass dies das einzige chinesische Restaurant in der Region ist, das den Namen verdient hat! Wirklich ausgezeichnetes, gut gewürztes und authentisches Essen mit guten Portionen. Die Auswahl der Gerichte ist sehr vielfältig und spannend. Schade, dass es zur Zeit keinen Lieferservice gibt, mit diesem waren wir auch sehr zufrieden und würden so gerne wieder bestellen, da wir es leider persönlich nicht so oft schaffen hinzukommen.

Nette Bedienungen, sehr leckeres Essen, am besten man bestellt mehrere Sachen und teilt ☺️

Essen war nicht so gut. Lokal mit Kantinenathmosphäre, wirkt kalt. Bedienungen laufen mehrfach umsonst hin und her, mit leerem Tablett in die Küche, ohne unterwegs Geschirr abzuräumen.
