Four of us ate there today. Having a Chinese person in the group was helpful because the cuisine there is not very European. You can perfectly expand your culinary horizons there. The ambience is functional and not for order-loving Germans. The food gives you an idea of ​​what is on the table in China. Millennial eggs, chicken feet, cold tripe salad, braised pork intestines,…. It was a feast for the senses. Many guests had Chinese roots and were a good indicator of the authentic cuisine. I would like to go there again

Just wanted to order 7. breaded chicken. Work as a nurse. I was currently very busy on the night shift in the intensive care unit and wanted to surprise my colleagues. Would have paid well too. It was quickly shut down that it couldn't be done without a reason. It's a shame, the food tastes good. It was the last time there was an event like this.

10/10 can recommend everything we got was amazing

On google it says the menu hightlight is hot pot. We looked at the menu and it didnt say hot pot anywhere, so we asked the waiter if they even had it. He responded with “No, it’s only to-go” which i understand, but then please make sure to mention it. We asked for Edamame without spice but the waiter said that it wasn’t possible without spice. The waiter was overall a little weird, I saw him lift his shirt and start rubbing his stomach in the middle of the restaurant? Since there was no hotpot we decided to get simple fried noodles with chicken and egg. I really don’t recommend this choice as the taste was just boring and bland, soy sauce and chili didnt make it better. Crispy Duck and The Chicken were good, especially the sauce. The duck was really crispy and i enjoyed it, the chicken tasted averge. I will not visit this restaurant again.

This place takes me back to Asia! The smell, the vibe, everything about this place is authentic! I'm always going to come here whenever I crave for some authentic Chinese food!

I used to love this place until tonight's dinner. The dishes were less than average. Braised Pork knuckles: sauce was super salty (inedible) and knuckles themselves were not cooked long enough thus not melt in your mouth. Red Braised Eggplant: this dish used to be their signature dish as it was fragrant, well balanced and just melts in your mouth. However, now it is a disappointment. The sauce was overly sour and the eggplants themselves weren't cooked enough to be the same as before. Sliced Beef and Ox Tongue in Chilli Sauce: meat definitely tasted like it came from the freezer but overall was still ok. (On the salty side) Chicken legs with dry red pepper: Was there even chicken in there? The "meat" was heavily coated with batter and super oily. I actually was expecting it to be crispy, because by the looks of the dish it should have been. Soggy, oily and barely any visible chicken. Taste was ok if you dismiss the oily feeling.

The food was extremely oily and sticky. Some of them come from cans, unfortunately not edible. Strong preservative taste. Even though the dish was returned immediately, it was still confiscated. You had to ask specifically to get the money back. Unfortunately the rice wasn't cooked at all. The first and last time here. It's a shame about that.

Authentic taste of chinese food. Price not expensive.

One of my top addresses in the Heidelberg / Rhein Neckar district area when it comes to authentic Chinese cuisine. Since I really appreciate the taste and the special dishes, I am thrilled every time I visit the restaurant.

I must say, I do not understand all these positive reviews. Our experience was extremely disappointing. From the moment we walked in, we felt unwelcome. There was an unpleasant glare from who I believe was the owner. Now, about the food: it was a letdown. The tofu dish we ordered was overfried, making it chewy and rubbery. The overall taste was simply not good. When we tried to use our Schlemmerblock voucher, the owner rudely insisted that we should have presented it before sitting down, even though there's no such condition mentioned on the voucher. His tone was unnecessarily harsh and dismissive.And we were treated poorly compared to other guests. Lastly, the atmosphere scattered around, cluttered and uninviting space. Overall, it was a really bad experience. - Food:1/5 - Service: 0.1/5 - Atmosphere: 1/5 I do not recommend this restuarent esp. for this location because of the staff. the other branches for e.g. in Karlsruhe is very good staff and food (both)

Was disappointed with the food especially. Due to the reviews I had relatively high expectations which were not met.

I was in this Chinese restaurant with my family for the first and last time today. Unfortunately there was no German-speaking service. Furthermore, up to two of us received the food immediately and the other two only received it when we were finished. You can also expect that no matter what kind of restaurant you are in, there will be ketchup. Unfortunately I'm not finished yet, the food looked great when it arrived. But after a bite it was just as bad as the air in there. On the whole. Food bad, staff bad, atmosphere bad but price ok.

Very nice owner, but the food was okay. Rice was not basmati or jasmine, but inexpensive. The dish “Tofu with Chinese cabbage” wasn’t really tasty. Basically, the images from Google don't match what you get. Just a vegan dish with tofu and Chinese cabbage, with rice. It really couldn't be more boring. Since we were very hungry and our standard Asian restaurant was closed, we stayed. I would give zero stars, but the owner was very personable and friendly.

Why not 5 ⭐️: Ordered dan dan mien and it was disappointing. It has no taste! Spider's web on the corner! The supplies are stored in the dining room. Not sure if they have an extra room for that. Can't pay with a card. The food was tasty but nothing extraordinary (fried noodles, fried rice, fried duck, fried chicken, spicy beef, pig ear, beef nieren) The dining room is very bright. In the end, you get fortune cookies.

Delivery: went quite quickly and very friendly, everything was warm and hot. Points of criticism: Fried rice with egg and duck - duck quite dry and rice tasted quite burnt. Chicken Gong Bao - lots of sauce, good heat but little taste. Dumplings with chicken/vegetable filling: delicious, sauce too vinegary (taste wise).

The price wasn't cheap, one person spent around 20 euros, which is the price of a buffet. I had to order a few more bowls of rice because I hadn't finished the dishes yet. The rice wasn't enough for a normal girl. The waitress wasn't friendly to me. My advice is, at 20 euros buffet is better.

Do you want to know how to be happy? Just happy? Order chicken gong bao, eat, repeat. You don't need anything more. The parking situation isn't great, but it's really worth it! I've been there 100 times and it wasn't the last time. Note: Currently (June 2024) card payments are not possible. But it will be pointed out :)

I have to say, unfortunately I can't understand all of these positive reviews. We didn't feel welcome and were therefore treated badly as guests. There was never an answer to a thank you and we were often watched with an unpleasant glare from (I think the boss). Other guests, of Asian descent, were allowed to place their orders earlier, even though they arrived much later. Well, now on to the food. Unfortunately the taste is really not good either. The dumplings were bland, the sweet and sour pork fillet was just sweet and masked any other taste. The Sichuan style chicken came with large pieces of bone, why bones at all, why? The duck was "okay", but the curry sauce was also unfortunately tasteless. Finally, I think it's important to talk about the ambience. There are packs and crates of drinks lying around everywhere. Half of the dining room is cordoned off and people apparently “live” there? At least there are Magi and other bottles, a work table, school bag, boxes, pieces of paper and more. The wait staff were also dressed as if they were at home. Only cash payment accepted. Something sweet. In summary, really a bad experience.

Well, I wasn't convinced. Visually, the operators live in the restaurant and a look into the kitchen also shocked me. (The ground help) I actually didn't want to just complain. They weren't unfriendly and the food came very quickly (during the starter)

Yangda is the only authentic Chinese restaurant in the region that I know of. The quality of the dishes could hardly be better. Vegetarians will also find something here, the eggplants, for example, are a highlight. I don't want to miss Yangda!

Nothing ventured nothing gained….. First of all, anyone expecting a typical German Asian will be disappointed. But if you're looking for relatively authentic food, you'll find it here at Yangda. As you can see from the majority of Asian guests, there is excellent Chinese cuisine by German standards - you should dare to try the other dishes on the exceptional menu beyond the mainstream duck breast, which also tastes excellent. We also wrote down our order ourselves, which is perhaps not so clumsy to avoid incorrect orders. The service was friendly. The service is quick. The portions generous. However, hygiene or tidiness fanatics should perhaps avoid the interior 😉 or order take away (the toilets are clean, by the way). However, I also had stomach problems the next day at other restaurants, but that wasn't the case here. My conclusion: I would come back at any time but eat outside.

I would characterize this restaurant, simply furnished with friendly people who serve us there, with a small office corner where you can get the impression that people are a little used to it and with VERY GOOD really Chinese food at very pleasant prices, it is worth a visit !!!

One of the Chinese restaurant finnaly doesn't have 'unChinese' food on the manu... Prize is acceptable. The taste is quite Chinese but too oily (another typical Chinese style) to the one who growth up in Guangdong.

A celebration of Chinese cuisine. Totally authentic food as if you were in China 🇨🇳 You should definitely try it. My salad in chili 🌶 sauce made from cooked beef tongue/heart and leg slice is simply brilliant as is the fried beef with green chili. The duck breast that my wife ate was also heavenly and not comparable to the usual duck breasts at Asian restaurants. Simple setup and very loud but you eat the original.

It's best to order several and enjoy them together. The food is super delicious.

We are regular customers of this restaurant and we tried both dine-in and delivery options. The dining experience was great, people were very welcoming and the food was always fresh and tasty. So far the only Chinese restaurant in Heidelberg we can recommend. Some tips for delivery: better to order 2 hours in advance and not during rush hours(not after 17:30) otherwise you might not get your order on time. Overall, the food was delicious and delivery was on time.

Like other reviews with a 1 star rating, I wonder if we ate at the same restaurant as the many good reviews. The waitresses were rude/brusque, we were asked by about 4 different waitresses if we had already ordered, we were given a seat in a corner next to the toilet where there were lots of fireworks, 6 drink carriers and lots of other random things right behind the chair Stuff stood. Not a feel-good atmosphere, far from feel-good service - you felt more like a nuisance than a guest. The food: The Canton sauce was very bland, boring and much thicker than usual. The jasmine tea was indescribably bitter. The food was a disappointment, as was the whole experience. The crispy duck and sweet and sour sauce were at least tasty. If you literally have only one alternative for this restaurant, please choose this one.

Wie andere Rezensionen mit einer 1-Stern-Bewertung wundere ich mich, ob wir im selben Restaurant essen waren, wie die vielen guten Bewertungen. Die Bedienungen waren unhöflich/schroff, wir wurden von ungefähr 4 verschiedenen Bedienungen gefragt, ob wir schon bestellt haben, uns wurde ein Platz in einem Eck neben der Toilette gegeben an welchen direkt hinter dem Stuhl jede Menge Feuerwerkskörper, 6er-Getränketräger und viel weiteres beliebiges Zeug standen. Kein Wohlfühlambiente, weit entfernt von Wohlfühlservice - man hat sich mehr wie ein Störfaktor, als wie ein Gast gefühlt. Das Essen: Die Kantonsauce war sehr fad, langweilig und viel dickflüssiger, als man sie sonst kannte. Der Jasmintee war unbeschreiblich bitter. Das Essen war eine Enttäuschung, so wie die ganze Erfahrung. Die knusprige Ente und süß-sauer-Sauce waren wenigstens lecker. Wenn man wortwörtlich eine einzige Alternative für dieses Lokal hat, wählen Sie bitte eher diese.

Authentic Chinese cuisine, very tasty and varied. Super friendly staff, always attentive despite some language barriers. The ambience may take some getting used to for some people, as it can get loud and can also seem a little chaotic. However, we don't mind that and it has its own charm - and there is also the option of eating the food at home. We love Yangda and are glad that Heidelberg and especially Wieblingen has this culinary enrichment!

Bestes asiatisches Restaurant in der Umgebung . Auch während Corona sehr zuverlässig . Die Lieferungsmöglichkeiten habe ich noch nicht genutzt . Ich hole das Essen immer ab . Es ist in weißen Tupperschüsseln die weiter verwendet werden können und bleibt so auch über eine Stunde sehr warm bis heiß .

The best Chinese restaurant I’ve ever been!! Absolutely THE BEST. It’s the restaurant you want to visit at any cost if you love Chinese food, and are near Mannheim or Heidelberg. It is located right in front of the tram station, so that you can find it immediately. We ordered “Drool chicken” and “sichuan boiled fish”. The sauce of both dishes were amazingly made by a perfect balance of numerous spices which brings you to ecstasy. The chicken was very tender and bean sprouts in the boiled fish absorbed the sauce and became juicy that despite of the massive size we could manage to eat almost everything. Not only has this restaurant got high quality dishes in a reasonable price, but also a high quality service. The staffs are very friendly and the atmosphere of the restaurant is very cozy. We were delighted to find one of the personnels trying to cover with his hands so that the sauces wouldn’t spill and bounce to us when he was cleaning up the dishes after we finished eating it. We’ve never seen such service with care and delicacy in a restaurant. We are glad and thankful to all people in the restaurant, and of course we’ll be there again soon.

Ich finde hier ein richtiges Restaurant wie ein normales Restaurant in China. Ja vielleicht ein bisschen deutsch und chinesisch gemischt aber mehr chinesisch. Ich hab lange Zeit solches in Deutschland gesucht und endlich hab ich es gefunden.

Spitzenauswahl zu tollen Preisen aber die den unkundigen Gast: stellt Fragen! Portionsgrössen sind teils gigantisch und zum Teilen da.

Sehr leckeres, authentisches Essen zu fairen Preisen. Service ist wirklich zuvorkommend. Das Ambiente ist nicht das schönste, aber das stört uns nicht. Wir essen hier ausschließlich vegane Gerichte und kommen immer auf unsere Kosten!

Wir hatten eine große Lieferung bestellt. Das Essen war wirklich sehr lecker und die meisten Gerichte bekommen auch 5 *! Abzug gibt es leider doch, das knusprige Hühnchen in der Soße zu liefern ist leider Quatsch, knusprig ist dann nämlich nichts mehr :-) Konstruktive Kritik... Ebenso könnte man die Behälter (sehen alle gleich aus..) beschriften, das macht es bei einer großen Bestellung mit ähnlichen Gerichten deutlich einfacher. Oder auf der Rechnung nicht ausschließlich Schriftzeichen zu verwenden, finde ich persönlich fürs aufteilen oder durchschauen besser. Wir werden natürlich trotzdem wieder dort essen/bestellen!

Die Suppe mit Szechuanpfeffer ist einfach mega gut.

freundlich, Essen war zu Fett, Ölich, unreichhaltig an Gemuese und allem, einfach zu faade, Gewüzlos geschmacklich zu geschmacklos, zu teuer, trotzdem Restaurant völlig überfüllt. Der Duft lockt zwar an aber das Essen war nicht gut.

Die Bedienung war zwar sehr nett, aber das Ambiente ist einfach nur fürchterlich und ohne Atmosphäre. Was allerdings nicht zu verzeihen ist, ist der starke Geschmack nach künstlicher Soße und Chemie bei der einzigen Dan Dan Nudelsuppe und der vollkommen fade Geschmack des Rindfleisches mit Austernsauce. Die Preise sind auch nicht ganz billig- kann nicht verstehen, wie dieses Restaurant bei einigen hier so gut ankommt- ein wirklich gutes chinesisches Restaurant war das Hotpot House in der Rohrbacherstrasse, das jetzt gesundheitlich bedingt leider geschlossen hat.

Ich war in diesem Restaurant auch schon vorher essen gewesen und fand jedes Mal sehr lecker. Vor allem die Preisleistung stimmt. Diesmal war ich mit meiner Familie essen und alle waren sehr zufrieden. Immer wieder gerne.

Einfach eingerichtet, nicht unbedingt mit dem harmonischen Wohlfühlfaktor. Aber das Essen ist sehr gut. Wir waren mit Kindern und Großeltern dort und haben ein tolles Mittagessen gehabt. Kann die Begeisterung meiner Vorgänger für dieses Restaurant nicht nachvollziehen. War vermutlich am falschen Tag da. Im Gegensatz zu den anderen fand ich, dass man drinnen wie draußen eigentlich ganz gemütlich sitzt. Das Personal war ok, aber übertrieben freundlich fand ich die nun auch nicht gerade. Ich bin Veganer und hatte die Gemüsepfanne. Weißer Reis mit zerkochtem Gemüse. Fand ich überhaupt nicht lecker und hätte ich selber ganz bestimmt besser und knackiger hingekriegt. Mit 7,49 € für eine Riesenportion war es allerdings sehr preisgünstig, das muss man der Fairness halber schon sagen. Vermutlich muss man Fleischesser sein, um vom Yangda begeistert zu sein. Ich stehe aber wohl mit meiner Meinung so ziemlich allein da, denn an dem Tag, als ich da war, war es in der Tat rammelvoll. Bin wohl leider kein Spezialist der chinesischen Küche.

Das Team von Yangda serviert ein richtig leckeres authentisches Essen, inklusive Hotspot! Das Restaurant ist besonders bei den chinesischen Leuten sehr beliebt, was die beste Auszeichnung für den richtigen und authentischen Geschmack darstellt. Das Ambiente ist relativ schlicht aber das Restaurant erhebt ja keine anderen Ansprüche. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Habe es endlich geschafft, dieses Restaurant zu besuchen. Nachdem mir unabhängig verschiedene Bekannte, Freunde und Familienangehörige von diesem Chinesen vorgeschwärmt hatten, war meine Erwartung schon sehr groß. Erster Eindruck, nun ja gemütlich geht anders, viele Runde Tische, kühl gehalten, aber sehr viele Asiaten und schon voll der Laden, kein schlechtes Zeichen. Die Karte erstaunte mich, auf deutsch und Chinesisch und jedes , jedes Gericht mit Bildern. Und was es da für unbekannte, abgefahrene Gerichte gibt, zudem preislich echt erschwinglich. Gerichte echt üppig, typisch für Asien, man bestellt verschiedene Gerichte und isst gemeinsam alles. Was man erwarten darf , die Kellner sprechen nur wenig Deutsch, Szechuan Küche, unbekannten leckerem Geschmack zu nem verdammt guten Preis. Das hat mit 08/15 China Buffets überhaupt nichts zu tun.

Das Restaurant ist ein der authentischste chinesischen Restaurants in Deutschland. Vielleicht sehr voll das Restaurant aber man kann trotzdem gut essen. Die Speisen sind günstig aber auch lecker. Ich empfehle aber, die Speisen mit warmen Getränken zu essen.

Lecker, für den asiatischen Magen aber auch den deutschen Magen! Wasser gekochter Fisch, Garnelen, Schweineohren, Ente, Tausendjahreeier, Sie haben uns gut geschmeckt.

Wir waren heute Mittag das erste mal zu Gast. Die Speisekarte ist sehr vielfältig und die Gerichte sind auf einem Foto abgebildet. Das Essen kam prompt von der netten Bedienung. Alles super frisch und sehr lecker :-) Wir kommen gerne wieder!
