It's high time I finally reviewed this highlight. Personally, I can say: a better dining experience simply doesn't get any better. The Schmidt family is incredibly friendly and always puts their whole heart into everything they do. The chef deserves a Michelin star, at least. It's always a truly special treat. Everything is exceptional from start to finish and made with love. Thank you for always making us feel so welcome. We'll definitely be back. If you want to experience a truly perfect meal, I highly recommend Waidmannsruh.

We ordered by phone. The person we called obviously didn't know their own menu. The pizza was very good. The pasta dishes had a very strange taste. We won't be ordering again.

We were visiting Augsburg and spontaneously dropped in without a reservation. The service was super friendly and made every effort to find us a table, which worked out. The food was truly delicious. We had a non-vegan friend with us who was also rather skeptical. But he also really enjoyed it and even said he'll probably come here more often from now on. The whole visit was truly lovely and a highlight of the day! Thank you so much, we'll be back!☺️

Very small. Not many seats available. But it's very cozy. The food was absolutely delicious! The karaage (as a meal deal with fries, sweet chili sauce, and garlic mayo) was incredibly juicy! The udon noodles with karaage were also fantastic.

We had the great pleasure of spontaneously visiting the Can VaRa restaurant in Bad Münstereifel last night. It was an experience we won't soon forget. Despite not having a reservation, we were seated at a cozy table near a wonderful bush basil plant, which smelled so wonderful and immediately made us feel like we'd been transported to the heart of the Mediterranean. The menu offered a fantastic selection of Mediterranean dishes and tapas, freshly prepared and bursting with flavor. The combination of high-quality ingredients, attention to detail, and the masterful skill of chef Ralf made for an unparalleled culinary experience. I would especially like to highlight Vanessa's fantastic wine selection, which perfectly complemented my meal. The two of them were incredibly welcoming from the very beginning and made us feel welcome and appreciated throughout our entire stay. All in all, our visit to Can VaRa was an exceptional experience. The combination of delicious food, a warm atmosphere, and first-class service makes it a place we would recommend to anyone without hesitation. We're very much looking forward to visiting the restaurant again in the near future! UPDATE from October 17, 2025 Last Friday, we celebrated our 5th anniversary at Can VaRa in Bad Münstereifel – and it was once again a wonderful evening. We both chose the menu, and just like our first visit, everything was simply perfect: finely balanced flavors, lovingly presented plates, and that very special Mediterranean atmosphere that makes Can VaRa so unique. Ralf and Vanessa once again managed to delight us both culinary and personal. The food was perfectly prepared, the wine was excellently selected, and their warmth made the evening truly special. After five years of shared memories, it was the perfect place to celebrate this special day – with enjoyment, warmth, and a touch of vacation feeling in the heart of the Eifel region. Thank you for this wonderful evening – we'll definitely be back! 💛

Delicious dough, but unfortunately the tomato sauce without chili/garlic oil is a bit lacking in flavor.

I had to pause for a moment after the first bite—not because I was feeling sentimental, but because my brain was busy organizing a standing ovation. The food was simply outstanding. Every component on the plate seemed to have been meticulously coordinated in a team meeting beforehand: perfect seasoning, superb timing, and a harmony usually only heard in highly paid orchestras. The chef doesn't just know his craft—he apparently conducts secret negotiations with the ingredients to ensure they show their best side. Even the side dishes seemed more motivated than I was on a Monday morning. The service was the charming cherry on top: attentive, quick, and with the rare talent of appearing at your table precisely when you need them—and not when you're trying to elegantly slice a steak (which is never really possible anyway). In short: If you go in hungry, you'll leave happy. And if you go in full, you'll probably regret it immediately. Highly recommended. I'll be back—I'll walk there if necessary.

Update: The service quality at the restaurant has noticeably declined since I no longer see the owner there. _ I am very impressed and can confidently recommend this restaurant. I came across this sushi restaurant thanks to its above-average Google reviews. The positive reputation is reflected in the quality of the food! My discerning palate was completely satisfied. The pizza is fresh and delicious. The decor has a certain charm and the staff are generally friendly. The prices are reasonable for self-service.

The best sushi outside of Japan and a truly authentic Japanese restaurant (including a certificate from Japan). The food is incredibly delicious, prepared with love, and the service has always been top-notch! We've eaten a lot of sushi all over Germany, but this is by far the BEST!
