We had reserved a table for 5 people by phone 2-3 weeks in advance and had the reservation confirmed. When we arrived on site for the appointment, the inn was dark and closed, and no other information was available. We then found out from neighbors that the owners were currently on vacation. Very unfortunate...

I was here for the first time last Thursday. Unfortunately, the menu almost only offers meat dishes. I also found the salad with goat cheese at just under 15 euros too expensive and not particularly nicely presented. It's a shame

Been there several times, sometimes in a small group, sometimes in a large group and can fully recommend it. Also very nice owners. You should definitely make a reservation on public holidays. My husband always eats sauerbraten here because it doesn't taste as good anywhere else. In summer you can also rent the barn for parties.

Wir waren am 28.12.2024 gegen 19:00 Uhr mit 4 Personen im Gasthaus zur Post und nicht zufrieden. Essen war zu salzig u. halbwarm serviert. und bei einem von den Bieren war das Verfallsdatum der August 2024

Super Burger! Tolles entspanntes Ambiente. Hier gibt es die besten Burger in der Region - wahlweise mit Pommes oder Süßkartoffelpommes.

I have known the Abel restaurant since I was a child. It was my father's favorite restaurant. I still like going there today. The food is good. I can also take our dog with me. There have never been any problems with the dog not being welcome. Of course, that was always pleasant for me. I've had different experiences in other restaurants. In the summer you can also sit very comfortably in the beer garden. I'm very happy with Abel.😀

Hungry on a Friday, 4 p.m. Where else can you breastfeed? This is definitely possible in this country inn. We were not only welcomed as guests by the very nice landlady, but also looked after deliciously: Thuringian bratwurst, homemade potato salad, potato turnovers and very fresh raw food were delicious. And all of this at moderate prices. Thank you for that.

Actually a really great restaurant. Brilliant food and actually the service is really nice. But there was a lady who didn't think it was right that we were left out even though I had let us know. If she had said it nicely, everything would be fine, but no, she says, and I quote: "Please sit back down immediately!" If the nice gentlemen next to us hadn't said anything, we would have gone in because we felt cramped. But the worst thing was that everyone who ordered either after us or with us got something 25 minutes before despite repeated requests. When they paid, we still waited. And waiting 50 minutes for 2 chicken wings with fries is not possible. Friends who ordered after us then We waited 50 minutes for a fries and currywurst. Sorry but just no. My friend's sister cried because it was apparently difficult to make a fries in 15 minutes and if you say it was busy, yes it was, but the people who order first also get it first.
