If you're looking for a delicious schnitzel, this is the place to be. Home-style cooking at reasonable prices. The only drawback is the uncomfortable chairs, definitely not suitable for long periods of sitting.

An institution in Seckbach! Excellent menu and various types of homemade apple wine. You can still get a real schnitzel here. The interior and garden simply have a special flair. I'd love to come earlier on weekends, but I'm happy to wait until 4-5 p.m.

A shady garden, dense, beautiful trees, all kinds of drinks, and rather simple cuisine...a place where you can still feel at home. Tables aren't too close together, so there's plenty of room for guests!

That's how it has to be! Everything is as it should be: delicious wine, good food and friendly service. The facility is tried and tested and has to be that way to a certain extent - and if you're looking for something different, you've come to the wrong place. We like it because that's how it has to be with apple cider!

The place is very atmospheric, but unfortunately it clearly lacks comfort, care and good cuisine. I took Jagerschnitzel with potatoes and it was simply terrible - overcooked in old oil and covered in an incomprehensible sauce with pieces of champignons. There is a smell of fumes in the establishment, and the cook is constantly touching the glass and constantly checking to see if you like everything. It might be nice to drink here in the summer, but I won't eat here again.

We had reserved a table for 5 people by phone 2-3 weeks in advance and had the reservation confirmed. When we arrived on site for the appointment, the inn was dark and closed, and no other information was available. We then found out from neighbors that the owners were currently on vacation. Very unfortunate...

Unfortunately I can only give one star, I researched on the internet and checked opening times, so I set off and unfortunately I found that everything here was closed. Well, at least I had 3km of walking on the clock. I was really looking forward to the food. FYI, I got stranded with the truck nearby. Just wanted something to eat. 😕 Today is Tuesday March 4th, 2025

Great cider pub with a large beer garden and great food. Unfortunately, I have to drive 60 km to get there, otherwise I'd be a regular. Highly recommended. The owner and staff are very friendly.

In beautiful Seckbach, you'll find some quaint pubs, as I discovered last night. After eating across the street, we stopped by Gerhard's Krone. After opening the door and entering the dining room, I felt as if I'd been transported back decades. Truly quaint and cozy, exactly the kind of pub I miss at home. A definite plus for this journey back in time. All in all, an apple wine tavern where you can sit and drink. Unfortunately, we didn't eat anything, but that's supposed to be very good, too. We had medlar, very tasty! The host, Gerhard, a really great guy, was a fun way to end the day. I look forward to more visits.

Rustic cider pub with home-made ciders, including delicious single-variety ones! The green sauce was excellent - with a lot of herbs and chopped egg, plus fresh crispy fried potatoes. The lamb's lettuce with well-seasoned, unbreaded schnitzel strips was also delicious, as was the hand cheese, which was served with wonderful bread. The evening was rounded off by the genuine nostalgic ambience and nice service! We'd love to come back!

Food was very good, finally a decent schnitzel, not so thin, very good. Unfortunately, the service was a bit off. Regardless, everything is ok.

I think the restaurant is highly recommended, even if the service still has potential. Since the majority are young employees, I see potential and constant improvement (hence the 5*). Absolute Frankfurt original with great food and a great location. It goes without saying that you don't drink your own cider there. The owner always has time for a chat

The alternative to the bike opposite, so to speak. A cider bar where you can also sit nicely in the garden. Not so hip, which is why older people tend to sit around here. The food can easily keep up.

Anständige Küche und allerbesten, selbstgekelterten Apfelwein bekommt man hier in uriger Gaststättenatmosphäre. Im Sommer hat es einen echt wunderschönen Garten.

Best bottle in Frankfurt, and there's no getting around tongue with horseradish/fried potatoes. For dessert, “Babbeln” with the host.

Sehr nette authentische Frankfurter Eppelwoikneipe mit noch bezahlbaren Speisen. Der Schoppe ist der Beste in Frankfurt 🙂. Zu dem, daß es keinen Gespritzten gibt, muss man sagen, daß die waschechten Frankfurter keinen verwässerten Äppelwoi trinken 😜. In den urigen Frankfurter Eppelwoikneipen gibt es keine "Gespritzte"!

Rustic, solid cider bar with a taproom and large, relaxing garden. We didn't eat, but what was on the other plates looked like good home cooking - without a lot of frills. Prices like everywhere else in and around Frankfurt... not thrown off, but not overly expensive either. There are bicycle parking spaces in the yard. Dogs are allowed.

Traditionelle Apfelwein Wirtschaft. Nette Leute und sehr leckere traditionelle Frankfurter Küche. Bisschen versteckt, sehr schöner Innenhof, teilweise überdacht.

Sehr nette Apfelweinkneipe. Familiäre Atmosphäre (Familienbetrieb in 6. Generation!) und ein gemütlicher und ruhiger Garten unter Kastanien, wo man an lauen Sommerabenden wunderbar den Abend ausklingen lassen kann.

Vielleicht haben wir ja einen schlechten Tag erwischt... Ich bestellte gebackenen Leberkäse mit Bratkartoffeln. Der Leberkäse wurde -warum auch immer- nicht am Stück gebraten sondern in mehreren ganz dünnen Scheiben was die ganze Angelegenheit seeehr fettig gemacht hat. Geschmacklich war er ok. Ebenfalls im Fett ertrunken waren die Bratkartoffeln. Der Haspel meines Mannes war von guter Qualität. Wurde nach Gewicht berechnet. Das Sauerkraut hingegen hätte etwas mehr Würze vertragen können. War recht fad. Das Ambiente im Garten ist gemütlich/rustikal. Die Bedienung sehr nett und flott. Beim Apfelwein merkt man, dass er von ausgezeichneter Qualität ist. Hat jetzt aber, weil er sehr herb war, nicht unseren persönlichen Geschmack getroffen. Leider konnte man nicht glasweise süss- oder sauergespritzt bestellen.

Als Frankfurter kennen wir alle Apfelweinlokale . Am wohlsten fühlen wir uns in der Krone. Der Apfelwein ist sehr gut. Die Speisekarte bietet deftige Speisen, die wirklich reichlich und vor allem sehr gut sind. Im Sommer sitzt man im schattigen Garten und im Winter in der gemütlichen Gaststube. Die Krone ist noch ein richtiges Kleinod unter den Apfelweingaststätten.
