I highly recommend this restaurant! The prices are a bit high, but the quality of the food and the staff justify it.

Had dinner there again. The sea bream with vegetables. Well, the fish was very good. But the side dish with vegetables, carrots and fennel, unfortunately I didn't think it was suitable and everything was cut so big. In the end I treated myself to a quince dream. Of course I will come back

A very pleasant atmosphere. You can enjoy your meal in peace. Very tasty wines. Also to take with you, for home and friends. A great service that leaves nothing to be desired. Even if you have special requests. You respond to the guest and are happy that they are there. We'd love to come back.

The staff was exceptionally welcoming, particularly the young woman with braids and her colleague with long dark hair, both of whom provided outstanding service. The food was exquisite, prepared with care and attention to detail, making for a truly enjoyable dining experience.

In this restaurant it's all about the apple - from the wine to the plate Schuch's Restaurant in Alt-Praunheim is one of the well-known cider bars outside the Ebbelwoi Mile in Sachsenhausen. There have always been creative seasonal apple dishes here, such as apple minced steak or apple hand cheese tartare, which surpassed the classic menu of a Frankfurt Ebbelwoi tavern. The special features of Schuch's Restaurant also include the large selection of home-made apple wines and brandies, which are offered in the Pomothek and also in the online shop. During our visits, we always stocked up on the fruity, aromatic Schuch's apple mustard, which, together with Kornmeyer's Frankfurter Green Sauce mustard, is on our shopping list for the region. The creative chef Christian Schulte has expanded the offering to include some exceptional gourmet dishes. In addition to the well-known good fish dishes and Frankfurt classics (we chose char and the Frankfurter Schnitzel in pomace breading), you can enjoy spectacular culinary hits such as “Green sauce with a difference”. The sour cream ice cream on mustard egg foam with Frankfurt green sauce, herb snow and lattice potatoes is simply incredible - a firework of flavors! Anyone who has previously celebrated the Frankfurt Green Sauce ice cream from locally famous television chef Mirko Reeh should make their way to Alt-Praunheim. The culinary surprising evening was made into a feel-good, enjoyable experience thanks to an unusually warm waitress (Lee) and her attentive service. We are deeply impressed by Schuch's Restaurant and would happily drive across Frankfurt and back to visit it.

Yes, here I am once again introducing a top restaurant with excellent cuisine. A house with a great tradition, passed from family to family and is becoming increasingly sought after in town and country. The prices match the quality of the dishes served at the table. The restaurant has a large terrace and parking spaces. Reservations are very important, it is well attended. My rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️(⭐️) 5 stars +

Obviously more intentional than skillful and somewhat ambivalent, our impressions can be summarized as follows: First, please duck your head and hold your glasses: A plastic apple tree grows deep in the entrance. -Anyway. The beef medallions were decent. The beef roulade, on the other hand, was emaciated, tough and probably microwaved and only served with a homeopathic dose of sauce. The hearty five-piece cider sample spilled generously onto the table and clothes. One of the service employees had Asian roots. A second visit would only be due to their authentic, warm hospitality.

SCHUCH‘S RESTAURANT formerly known as Concordia, located in Praunheim, next to the Nidda river. You like creative local hessian style dishes, than you have to try Schuch‘s Restaurant. The great food goes along with homemade Applewine, Cider and Juices. Very friendly staff serving traditional and modern hessian dishes in a cosy rustic atmosphere. We will come back!

Very good food, great ambience, friendly and attentive service. We'd love to come back! However, one note must be made: serving cider in the “Pfälzer Dubbeglas” and not in the “Gerippte” is a break in style.

The waitresses were sexy and so kind, change to english immediately when didnt understand them. Food is rich as well as the apple type specialties also. Hungarian approved because the beef and spirit drinks were awesome! I recommend for everyone who visit Frankfurt!

A very good apple-centric restaurant with excellent cuisine and exemplary staff. We have known the restaurant for over 10 years and always enjoy going there. Whether fish or meat, everything served here is of excellent quality and skillfully prepared. Many thanks to our young waiter who organized a table for us this evening, despite the full terrace, and served us friendly and quickly! My recommendation to everyone who appreciates good cuisine in a pleasant atmosphere. Good value for money!

The restaurant is in the higher price segment - but also delivers the quality for the price, so that the price-performance ratio is consistent. I would highly recommend making a reservation here. I unreservedly extend this recommendation to include dessert - you should treat yourself to that here.

My favorite German restaurant, nice food and place

We had a very nice evening with very tasty food. I also found it very pleasant that you could order smaller portions, so you could also have a starter and a dessert without completely overeating 😅 Even though the house was very full, the service team did a good job 👍🏻 The only downside was that because the house was so full, it was also relatively loud. I'm looking forward to visiting the house again in the summer, where you might be able to sit outside 😉

We had a great evening eating goose! The goose was crispy, the side dishes of dumplings, red cabbage and truffle savoy cabbage were excellent. The service was attentive and friendly - everything went smoothly. Absolutely recommended!

We went to Schuchs today full of joy and were treated so badly by the waitress that we won't be coming back and won't recommend it to anyone. We have to admit that the food tasted and looked really amazing. The food really exceeded any of our high expectations. BUT!, this waitress with the curly hair and glasses didn't even really greet us. When she finally brought us the drinks, for which we had to wait quite a long time, she told us about some arguments among the staff even though we just wanted to order our food. The restaurant was busy, we could see that, but our waitress was just flirting with her colleagues instead of taking care of our concerns. When she was with us, she gave us a petulant, perhaps a bit bitchy answer when we asked for a new fork that one of us had dropped. She couldn't even maintain eye contact when people spoke to her. We are really speechless. That's really unprofessional. She made us feel like we were a burden and unwanted. You don't even get treated like that at the kebab shop in the neighborhood. As I said, the food was really delicious. It's a real shame that she ruined our evening and the good food with her unfriendly attitude. The food was really too bad for such service. New staff would really be needed. Staff worthy of good food. That's why there is only one star out of 5. If it weren't for this service it would be 10 out of 5 stars.

Me and my friend was so excited to come here bcoz of the reviews. But we were greeted by 2 miserable rude waiters and did not comeback more than 20 minutes to take our orders. So we left l.

Once again a special experience! Venison medallions to the point with a delicious crust, plus a delicious sauce, hearty savoy cabbage and Schupfnudeln. Each ingredient had its own flavor nuances that harmonized beautifully together. A feast for the palate! The stylish ambience and the super-friendly service made the evening perfect.

Super tasty goose and a fantastic dessert. The service person was new and had to ask something, but her open approach made her likeable. She was very attentive, kind and quick. At the beginning there was a large group sitting at the next table who were incredibly loud, but once they left it became comfortable.

A really great atmosphere! It's already decorated for Christmas, the tables are a good distance apart so you don't feel crowded and it also has a nice, warm atmosphere. Great drink selection and a nice selection of dishes. And the service was great too.

Four of us were there during the week. Nothing works in the run-up to Christmas without a reservation. We had goose leg & breast. Finally, the dessert variations. That was all very good. Service friendly and accommodating. Location is rather rustic but fits wonderfully with the overall concept. We can only recommend it.

I thought one waiter for 20 people wasn't enough. He was very friendly, but overwhelmed. The food, here Tafelspitz, was too salty with the vegetables and the dark sauce. 5 slices of meat were tough and hard, inedible. Unfortunately, the Schuch is no longer what it used to be before the Corona period.

Kid friendly. Cozy warm place, friendly staffs. Restaurant almost apple themed. If u r lucky u get the prime table under an apple tree in the restaurant. Theres kids corner beside it where they can play. Toilet is so lady friendly too, with tampons n lotion. I heard the gents have hand lotion too! Do remember to make reservations especially on weekends. Food is very yummy apple fries a must try. We had the rumpsteak, deer mandallion, Lende pork cremebrule all yummy delicious!

Traditional restaurant in the 5th generation. Very nice atmosphere with outdoor area. Suitable for all kinds of celebrations. Children will never be bored here. Bus stop nearby. Some parking spaces in front of the house, also on the street around it. Since the grandson has been at the helm in recent years, the quality has increased enormously. The magicians in the kitchen are worth the money. And staff/service is (finally) as it should be. The trainee yesterday was so quick, attentive and humorous; a real joy! Last night we enjoyed: - Apple fries with tartar sauce on celery puree with fried onions and trout caviar - Truffle pasta bags in a light cream sauce served with mushrooms and parmesan chips. - Hand cheese (a must), then rump steak with herb butter really medium-rare, At the end we shared the delicious “little temptation” and took a 5l canister of sweets with us. Simply successful!

This place is beautiful! The restaurant had a very cozy/welcoming feel to it. There are Gluten Free options on the menu (although not many), and they take extra precaution with allergies. I had an excellent meal. I haven't had GF ribs in a long time, and the ones here were delicious! Homemade BBQ sauce & fries & coleslaw.

A mix of traditional & modern German cuisine. Foods were also very nice and we really liked it. The waiter and waitress were very friendly and helpful. Must try their handkäse, it was amazing. I had an Apfelwein rose which is very nice as well. Order took a bit long, but it's understandable because the restaurant was occupied by the time we got there.

Was invited for a birthday. The food was delicious, but the service was friendly when it came to ordering drinks. However, it was packed and there was a lot to do! The design of the yard could be nicer. It's nice inside though :)

Good prices but also very good quality. Various comfortable seating options. Both indoors and outdoors with a roof. Also suitable for large groups without it being too cramped. Even in response to email inquiries, e.g. about seasonal dishes, is answered. Although it is clear that means extra work. Very nice staff. Very helpful. With parking space. Tip: come as early as possible.

Very tasty food and very friendly service

In the summer, great variation of the green sauce, something different... Big praise for holding a family celebration! Everything went perfectly, the food and service were top and our guests were obviously very happy. There is also an ambience that combines tradition and modernity in a pleasant way for old and young in every season. Host Jürgen Schuch, the Schuch family, and the entire team have mastered their craft, and this is how this family business has managed to maintain its very good standards over the decades and yet always offer its guests something new. Current: A smaller celebration with friends was also a great success. Everyone was very impressed with the food and the restaurant. Seasonal offers, very good roast goose. We always like to take a few bottles of cider home with us at the end.

Wir waren hier vorgestern und haben meinen Geburtstag nachgefeiert. Wir waren von diesem Restaurant begeistert. Ein schönes Interieur innen und auch ein klasse Außenbereich. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und beriet uns gut über verschiedene Apfelweine, von denen es tatsächlich viele unterschiedliche Sorten gibt. Wir probierten den Breaburn und den Quitten-Apfelwein. Considering it's relatively expensive and considered an upscale cider place, it wasn't particularly special in the end. The food was tasty, even if it wasn't something I'll remember forever. The drinks weren't mixed properly and part of the order simply wasn't brought. Only after we asked when the starter would arrive because they had already started bringing the main course, were we told that they had forgotten and would now bring it, which we of course politely declined, since the main course had now arrived. However, this was only brought gradually. There were 9 people and half had to watch while the other half was already half finished. Actually, you should send the food out so that everyone can eat at the same time. Actually one of THE rules, in a restaurant and for a more upscale one, this should definitely be taken into account, in my opinion. All in all it was quite nice. The service was friendly and attentive. It was clean and the atmosphere was nice. But I don't know if I'll come again. I think there are other addresses in the price range that work a little better.

Good atmosphere, good customer service from staff, and delicious food! The seasonal Spargel (white asparagus) was absolutely delicious.

We ate there again on Whit Monday, May 20, 2024, after more than a year, and were unfortunately disappointed. The food was good, but the service was catastrophic and, given the increased prices, just bad: In the best summer weather we want to eat outside, but according to the waitress it would be too bad old and we had to stay inside. I suspect that they simply didn't feel like it or were too lazy to serve outside. After waiting forever for the food, the free children's ice cream declared on the menu was "forgotten" and only brought by another waiter and after another wait. Sorry, but given the prices I just expect better service. Anyway, I'm going somewhere else soon.

We visited the restaurant as a large group shortly before Christmas. The portion of deer medallions consisted of two pieces, a dollop of savoy cabbage and 7 Schupfnudeln. At a price of over €30 per portion, it's more than paltry as a side dish. Unfortunately, the medallions were completely cooked through and therefore anything but tender, not only for me but also for the other two people who ordered them. I can't say whether the truffle pasta actually contained truffles. There was no smell of it, nor were there any truffle shavings between the mushrooms. Only the game burger and the beef broth were well received. Even though there were always a lot of cellars running around, the service was poor and chaotic. When no one came to the table for a while, we asked a passing waiter for more drinks. He simply replied that he was not responsible for that.

So I drive to the pampas of Frankfurt and expect at most purgatory, but I find paradise: Schuch’s Restaurant. The kitchen, excellent, and I'm annoyed that I didn't order the starter plate. But the main courses and dessert plate were delicious and the service was extremely friendly. Luckily for me, relatives are moving close to the restaurant, and my favorite restaurant in Frankfurt is clear.

I miss the old map. Apple bratwurst and apple schnitzel. Now there are only fancy dishes. Everything at a high level. But the Schuchs from before also had something. Great for a special restaurant visit. If you're looking for fried potatoes and apple fritters, you'll have to go somewhere else.
