The Frau Rauscher apple winery in Alt-Sachsenhausen is one of the most famous apple wineries in Frankfurt - and rightly so! The friendly Frankfurt waitresses ensure that you immediately feel welcome. The atmosphere is very cozy and rustic, exactly what you would hope for from a traditional Frankfurt apple wine bar. The kitchen offers delicious, traditional German dishes and the typical Frankfurt classics. There is also the famous apple cider and of course a delicious medlar, which rounds off the evening perfectly. There is often live music here, which makes the experience even more authentic and atmospheric. A visit to Ms. Rauscher is an absolute tradition for Frankfurters and a must for all guests of the city!

The food was great but the service was a little slow due to not many staff and the restaurant being in different areas. The apple wine was nice. The menu was offered to us in English but it didn't seem to correspond with the much larger German menu. There seemed to be a lot of locals in which is always a good sign. If you want some traditional German food, go here.

Beautiful cider pub with a large selection of food (everyone can find something!) and the opportunity to take part in an cider tasting after registering in advance. The ambience is rustic, cozy and adapted to the original dishes. The service was also very friendly!

Just EXCEPTIONAL !! At first we wondered where we were going to land, but once inside it was just great. The landlady was super nice, we laughed a lot with her, the dishes were very good, we went out, we had eaten too much, the quantities were astronomical. But it was so good !!!! And the landlady having challenged us, we could not weaken. 😂😂 In finally everything was good, the setting is nice and sets the mood and the landlady is great. I recommend without hesitation

We were here for the first time yesterday (10/18/24) with a total of 8 people. From the service to the food, everything was top. We had a very nice evening.

This part of Germany has a strong cider culture, and this is an excellent place to experience that, along with unique local dishes, especially the Frankfurt green sauce. It is usually served with eggs and potatoes. Looks so simple but it's so tasty. Their other dishes are great too.

Good, tasty regional food with a very good portion size. The individual ciders and their tradition were explained to us and we were able to taste them. Special thanks go to Simon who took a lot of time for us and explained everything to us.

If you want cider, beer, wine, sausages, meat..... Come on, whatever you want. It is a wonderful place to have lunch or dinner, as a couple or with friends. Whenever I can I go to eat knuckle. But it doesn't matter what you order, everything is great, the service is wonderful and you will always leave there with a smile. I love it. I advise it...

Cool old space with lots of local decor, big wooden tables, and classic German cuisine. The schnitzel was under seasoned. Food was ok overall, nothing standout. Portions were generous.

Unfortunately we didn't get a seat outside. It was quite warm in the restaurant, unfortunately no air conditioning. But the food was very tasty. The service was great, the poor waitress was all alone and ran the whole place by herself. Chapeau...

Don't be put off by appearances. We were here for the first time and loved it. From the ambience, food and staff. The only downside was that we had to pay in cash.

This is the greatest apfelwine experience you will ever have. The staff is incredibly helpful. The apfelwine is so delicious. The atmosphere is rich and warm. I love this place and the whole experience. If you are in Frankfurt you owe yourself a stop here. Maybe several stops.

A real Frankfurt experience! The “Frau Rauscher” apple wine tavern is an absolute must for anyone visiting Frankfurt. The atmosphere is authentic and cozy, just as you would expect from a traditional cider house. The cider is outstanding – fresh, tangy and simply delicious. The food is also a highlight. The selection of local specialties is great, and everything we tried was perfectly prepared and incredibly tasty. The Frankfurt Green Sauce and the Handkäs with music are particularly recommended. The service was friendly and attentive and you immediately feel welcome. The prices are fair and the price-performance ratio is absolutely right. Overall, a wonderful place to spend a relaxing evening with friends or family. We'll definitely be back!

First of all, I would like to praise the very attentive, friendly service staff. Unfortunately, things are different when it comes to food. Schnitzel and Kassler were very dry, the ribs were still good. This is better!!

We had dinner at Mrs. Rauscher's again. Unfortunately the food was very bad. Schnitzel burnt, fries cold and hard (not crispy), coleslaw warm. In general it tasted a lot like old fat and smelled like that everywhere. It's a shame that it has faded so much...

Traditional and cozy Frankfurt restaurant. This venue is a must see. All the food we had was prepared to perfection. Bring your appetite with you, as you may want to indulge yourself with a classic Schnitzel with Goethe’s favourite sauce - Grüne Soße. For lunch arrive early as it is very popular. One can also sit outside in the courtyard.

We were with Ms. Rauscher today, we had a voucher for a 3-course menu. Everything was just really good!! The attentive service from a very nice young woman, the delicious food, the cozy courtyard. We would like to come back soon.

Typical and really nice place in Frankfurt. It is located in a typically "nocturnal" neighborhood but despite this the area is quite quiet. Inside it is completely made of stone and gives a truly pleasant feeling. Fantastic food with generous portions. The service was also ok with the attentive and friendly waitress. Bad food, once and never again. Three of us were there at lunchtime. All three eat inedible food Schnitzel was dry, butcher's platter was underground. And the spare ribs also dry and hard. Can't understand the positive reviews.

As a Bavarian tourist in Frankfurt, I wanted the full “Hessian culture” program and was taken to Ms. Rauscher’s for dinner in the afternoon after a sightseeing tour. Not only because it is one of the few places that is also open in the afternoon, but also because it is said to be very authentic and tasty. And what should I say? From the ambience, the nice waiter and great service to the excellent food - everything was perfect! 👌🏻 An absolute recommendation! Be sure to drink apple cider, try Handkäs as a starter and order one of the many delicious dishes with green sauce! ☺️

We wanted to try a delicious cider and were not disappointed. Ordered three different ciders, all three were really good. Unfortunately the service was a bit slow. All the tables inside were occupied, but it was so warm and stuffy that we chose a table outside anyway. Since it had rained earlier, the tables and benches were wet. The staff didn't dry them either; we had to use our jackets for it. Ambiance and drinks very good, the service could still be worked on.

We had lunch here at just before 12 pm on a weekday, and we were the first people. Maybe people don't come here for lunch. However, the server/hostess was really nice, and we got the food and drinks on time. The green sauce on the schnitzel was very good. The food potions are very large. They had chicken schnitzel for those who prefer. Their rose apple wine was fantastic, and so was their normal one. It was like a lightly gassed beer with apple cider flavor. It goes down pretty smoothly once you get started.

This is pure Frankfurt! An authentic, rustic apple wine bar with excellent Hessian dishes. The atmosphere is cozy and rustic. The employees were all very friendly and the restaurant was very clean. Price-performance is also very good. You get large portions for a very fair price. If you don't stop there, you're missing out. We were there for the first time today and will definitely be back!

...soooo great...we were there on June 11th, 2024 at lunchtime and in the afternoon...you walk from the Römer over the "Riserner Steg" bridge and after a few minutes you are in a green, quiet, friendly world... outdoors, in the sun, on sparkling water with a view of the beautiful bank opposite: the skyline of Frankfurt!!! : right: the old city center, left: the office towers and luxury residential buildings on the Main ... in between: the smaller old residential buildings from the 70s... city history to see..... and all this with the friendliest service, Äppelwoi and traditional Frankfurt dishes... REALLY GREAT CONCLUSION: an absolute MUS S
