Very tasty food with a great price-performance ratio!

Quaint, typically Frankfurt! A typical Frankfurt pub with Apple Wine, green sauce, and typical dishes. What more could you want? A bit hidden away, but right in the heart of Alt Sachsen Hausen! Really reasonable prices and super friendly service! The snow flurry and the coins with green sauce are great!

Yesterday, we went to dinner as a group at Mrs. Rauscher's. Unfortunately, the coleslaw (with a side dish of schnitzel) had already gone bad. Our warning was met with a simple, "I'll tell the kitchen."

Dear Google bad review explorers, please fasten your seatbelt and check the mic. Cause I've got one for you. Pork knuckle was by far the worst one i ever tasted. Not juicy, the outer fat is dry and hard as a bone. Green sauce not enough seasoning and the meat spread that came with the green sauce utter disaster of a meat collection. The meats must have been weeks old. Even the potatoes have no flavour just boiled potatoes. How hard is it to season a potato. They depended too much on the green sauce to make the dish better but alas the sauce was sorry excuse of a bad yogurt. The inly good this was the Handkäs mit music, because it's the only one dish that was store bought. At least the price was cheap as the quality so at least we didn't break the bank to survive this. And cherry on top the service. If you are a tourist come visiting I hope you come prepared with your stone face because you will be told off by "german directness" in full galore even if you can speak german with them. The service scolded us for not reserving seat and just stopping by when 80% of the place was empty. To the manager (if you happen to read this): thank you for the warm hospitality—it truly felt like you couldn’t wait to throw us out.

Best place for German food with reasonable price!

I had dinner at this restaurant with colleagues on a business trip. The place was very crowded, perhaps because of the fair in town. The initial service was very slow, about half an hour of waiting before receiving the menu, but the waitress apologized for the wait. The area of the club where we were was very small and crowded, for this reason the noise in the room was high and it was difficult to talk at the table. Traditional dishes well made, nothing exceptional, but still good. Good position that allows you to make a walk after dinner.

Was there with my team. Up to our reservation we got a big table for about 20 persons .. interesting place where you can enjoy the Frankfurter dishes as well as the cool atmosphere.. Testy food, friendly staff, calm atmosphere was well as suitable prices . Big like ☺️

Hmmmm... Nice service, typical ambiance - Sachsenhausen, that's what you'd call it... The apple wine was delicious, and the food: large portions. The Frankfurter Schnitzel was good, the Jägerschnitzel itself was OK, but the sauce: there were mushrooms somewhere in the black mush, absolutely not my taste. It's worth it, and the prices are OK, too.

We had grilled pork knuckle and Frankfurt Schnitzel with Frau Rauscher Speierling and Frankfurt apple wine. Pork knuckle was tasty and juicy and the skin was thin and crispy. The side dishes: farmer's bread had a nice aroma that I couldn't tell and the sauerkraut paired with pork knuckle perfectly! Frankfurt Schnitzel was not to my liking, since the breading did not fully stick to the meat. BUT, the green sauce is divine! It's truly refreshing, appetizing, and special. Green sauce is a must try here! Overall, friendly and prompt service, fair price with big portion.

When I'm in Frankfurt, I like to be a guest here. Eating out here is now an integral part of visiting Frankfurt. The service is nice and very fast. The portions are more than generous and the food is also very good! The prices are absolutely fair!

We received excellent service, advice, and proactive support on two consecutive evenings. Despite our busy schedules, we were also able to get the same table at the same time the following evening. Excellent and tasty food, delicious drinks, and attentive service, always on par. The price-performance ratio is unbeatable by Frankfurt standards. Food was super tasty, generous portions, prices reasonable. Service depends on the day, orders take a long time at peak times. Traditional business, much quieter after lunchtime during the week, full in the evenings and on weekends, loud and cramped.

The food is typically "Frankfurter." The side salad was very tasty, but the fried potatoes could have been fried more thoroughly and the fries could have been fried longer. Otherwise, everything was excellent.

We were at the event location and received a very interesting journey through time about the district and the cider. Location, lecture and tasting… everything was great. The food was ok. Had the slaughter platter and instead of the ribs I received a fairly dry piece of meat.

An authentic experience in the heart of Frankfurt, with traditional local cuisine and atmosphere. The dishes are plentiful and really tasty and the service is attentive and courteous. Definitely recommended, if I ever pass through Frankfurt again I will definitely go back!

You should definitely go to Mrs. Rauscher's for dinner. We had heard so many good things. We didn't have a reservation and of course it was full on Saturday evening. Nevertheless, a solution was found for us that we were very happy with. The waiter was very attentive and friendly. The timing between serving the starter and main course was also great. The dishes were very tasty and filling. A top price-performance ratio. Gladly again, but then with reservation.

Very quaint economy. Friendly and attentive staff. There are many traditional, hearty dishes. The portions are very generous. So you actually only manage 1 dish. It was very tasty. So, wie man sich eben eine urige Apfelweinkneipe vorstellt. Etwas versteckt, aber es lohnt sich. Wir wollten nur eine ganze Kleingkeit essen nach langer Flugreise und natürlich Apfelwein. Die sehr freundliche Bedienung hat bereitwillig einen Teller ausgezeichneter "grüne Soße" mit 2 Bestecken gebracht und dazu einen sehr leckeren Apfelwein. Gern wieder!

One of the best Äpplwoi Stuben I have visited so far. Rustic and cozy, especially good food (I love the Handkäs with music). Before Ms. Rauscher, I thought Hessian apple wine wasn't my taste. Since then I've known that it depends and that there are definitely good ones.

Excellent Restaurante in Sachsenhausen! Welcoming environment, very friendly staff and excellent value for money.. unfortunately they had problems with the tap and couldn't offer us the beer we wanted..☺️ but it was all very good. the venue is located in a very lively area where you can spend a fun evening in the Frankfurt nightlife.. I highly recommend it.

We were there with a large group on a Saturday (01/25/25). The separate Äpplergalerie was booked for us. It was great. Staff great, food super tasty and reasonable portions. Appropriate ambience. Large portions & plenty of side salad. Quite okay in terms of price! The taste is okay to good. Sometimes the schnitzels taste very fatty (you notice it more if without sauce). Ms. Rauscher's apple cider tastes very good. The apple brandy is also definitely recommended.

One of the best green sauces!! Delicious cider and a nice service staff. We sat at a table in the entrance area and after a while it unfortunately got a bit (too) cool due to the draft from outside. It's also quite loud in the restaurant, but that's somehow part of the coziness. ;)

The staff is very friendly and attentive. The location is rustically furnished. I chose a “Frau Rauscher plate”. A schnitzel baked in the pan on crispy fried potatoes, garnished with snow flurries (Camembert gratin), coleslaw with carrot strips and of course green sauce. Apple strudel for dessert... I wouldn't have expected something like that in a tourist restaurant Chapeau....😉

Very good rustic cuisine. It's worth coming. But in terms of taste, I felt that certain something was missing to give it more than 4 stars.

Positive: Good apple juice and good schnitzel. Negative: All other accompaniments to the supposed "specialty plate" were really not good. We won't be visiting the restaurant again; The high general rating has put it into perspective for us.

Das Lokal hat so ein schönes altes Landhausstil. Man fühlt sich wie zu Hause in einer dörflichen Kneipe. Man wird beim Essen begleitet von einem sehr kompetenten und freundlichen Akkordeon-Spieler. Zur Vorspeise hatte ich die Markklösschensuppe, welche sehr gut geschmeckt hat. Sie bestand aus einer klaren Brühe und vier großen Markklösschen harmonisiert mit Petersilie. Dies war ein sehr angenehmer Start zu meiner Hauptspeise Frankfurter Schnitzel. Die Hauptspeise wurde serviert mit zwei mittelgroßen fein panierten Schweineschnitzel. Das Paniermehl war schön kross goldbraun gebraten. Leider war ein Schnitzel etwas zu zäh, aber dafür war das zweite größere Schnitzel absolut zart. Die Kartoffeln waren sehr lecker und die Grüne Sauce (ein Muss in Frankfurt) war einfach die Krone auf dem ganzen Gericht. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich, aber ich konnte mir am Ende leider keinen nächsten Apfelsaft bestellen, weil wir unsere Bedienung nicht mehr wiedergesehen haben. Die andere, die den Tisch hinter uns bedient hatte, vertröstete uns auf einen anderen Kellner, den sie Bescheid geben würde. Er kam aber nie. Das fand ich sehr schade und blieb dann einfach beim restlichen Wasser. Das gibt leider einen Stern-Abzug. Insgesamt kann ich dieses Lokal wirklich jedem Frankfurter Touri ans Herz legen, wer einmal essen möchte wie ein Einheimischer. Es war eine insgesamt schöne Stimmung dort.

Das einzige, das mich gestört hat: der Weg dahin ist so dunkel und voller Kopfsteinpflaster: das nächste Mal ziehe ich meine Wanderschuhe an, um nicht umzuknicken: aber das ist Alt-Sachsenhausen. Auch wäre es schön gewesen, wenn die Statue von Frau Rauscher beleuchtet gewesen wird, um zu vermeiden, dass man nass wird. Wenn man es gefunden hat, erwartet einen eine ganz andere Welt: sind wir noch in Frankfurt? Die Stadt der Hochhäuser und Glaspaläste? Genau das Gegenteil: Urgemütlich, nur so dunkel, dass man eine gemütliche Atmosphäre hat. Menschen aller Altersklassen. Wer vermutet eine Studentengruppe in einem Ebbelwoi-Laden, die sich genauso amüsieren, wie älteres Publikum, das wohl sogar noch Heinz Schenk und Lia Wöhr live im Blauen Bock erlebt hat. Die Bembel gab es also nicht nur in der Fernsehshow. Das Personal leider nicht in Hessischer Tracht (wäre noch das Tüpfelchen auf dem i-Punkt), aber sehr freundlich und herzlich. Das Essen: ich wollte bloß eine "Kleinigkeit"... es hätte für eine vierköpfige Familie gereicht. Es war aber echt lecker. Hier sind wir bestimmt nicht das letzte Mal. Und unbedigt reservieren: die meisten wurden nämlich weggeschickt, weil sie keine Reservierung hatten.

The Frau Rauscher apple winery in Alt-Sachsenhausen is one of the most famous apple wineries in Frankfurt - and rightly so! The friendly Frankfurt waitresses ensure that you immediately feel welcome. The atmosphere is very cozy and rustic, exactly what you would hope for from a traditional Frankfurt apple wine bar. The kitchen offers delicious, traditional German dishes and the typical Frankfurt classics. There is also the famous apple cider and of course a delicious medlar, which rounds off the evening perfectly. There is often live music here, which makes the experience even more authentic and atmospheric. A visit to Ms. Rauscher is an absolute tradition for Frankfurters and a must for all guests of the city!

The food was great but the service was a little slow due to not many staff and the restaurant being in different areas. The apple wine was nice. The menu was offered to us in English but it didn't seem to correspond with the much larger German menu. There seemed to be a lot of locals in which is always a good sign. Just EXCEPTIONAL !! At first we wondered where we were going to land, but once inside it was just great. This part of Germany has a strong cider culture, and this is an excellent place to experience that, along with unique local dishes, especially the Frankfurt green sauce. It is usually served with eggs and potatoes. Looks so simple but it's so tasty. Their other dishes are great too.

Ein sehr gemütliches Lokal in Alt-Sachsenhausen. Die Einrichtung ist sehr urig, halt wie eine Apfelweinkneipe so sein muss. Das Essen war vorzüglich, besonders das Kartoffelpüree war sensationell. Preise sind respektabel.
