My best culinary experience in Frankfurt. A very cozy, clean place with a wide variety of dishes, all freshly prepared by the restaurant itself, and without pre-made or packaged cuts from supermarkets. If you have the opportunity to go, feel free to order the cheese schnitzel, hunter's schnitzel, Viennese schnitzel, or schnitzel with green sauce. One is more spectacular than the other. The portions are large. Everything is prepared to perfection. The price of the dishes is extremely reasonable, which is why it's always, always, packed. You need to book in advance. Unfortunately, the place is small, but it's just the right size to serve its guests very well. Because the dishes are freshly prepared, they usually take a while to be served, but that leaves time for a good conversation before eating.

Great if you are looking for an authentic German atmosphere.

Very nice traditional frankfurt bar. Staff very friendly and food was good. Green sauce was top notch. Visited early in the day and it wasn't very busy..they told me it was booked out for the evening. Still wanted to experience an authentic apple wine house and have some local fare....didn't disappoint on both counts

Absolutely delightful place with great food and good prices. Meat was tender and full of taste, tasty potatoes, great place to try out German cuisine. And Apfelwein - absolutely divine! We bought quite some for a take out, because it was that tasty. :)

I went there with my boyfriend while visiting from Canada. We shared a schnitzel plate. It was absolutely delicious. My boyfriend also really enjoyed the apple wine. The service was also very friendly. If I'm back in Germany, I'll definitely go back.

A truly authentic Frankfurt experience! The food, service, atmosphere, prices and apfelwein were amazing! I am gluten free and there were a lot of options to choose from. Huge portion sizes and a super friendly server who encouraged our pronunciation of the German names of the dishes :)

We were recommended the Pokal. It has a cool atmosphere, delicious local cuisine, and homemade cider. The service is also very friendly and prompt.

Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. You look forward to the green sauce, but the dish was ultimately served as if it had been prepared several days ago. The service also left much to be desired: I had to take my plate from the waitress myself and place it on the table, and at the end I was asked to declare my plate. This is unsatisfactory in my opinion. The ambiance was also unfortunate: The ventilation was inadequate, and there were no windows, which made the room uncomfortable. Overall, I unfortunately cannot recommend the restaurant.

We were there today and were absolutely thrilled. The service was exceptionally attentive, the food was perfect (I had the whole Schäuferle), the portions were hearty, and the price was reasonable. The ambiance is inviting, which meant that despite our spontaneous visit, we ended up staying there for almost four hours. I'll definitely be back :)

Service was alright, but unfortunately the food was tasteless. We had the jägerschnitzel and the rindswurst, but bith were bland and the potatoes burnt.

We were there on different days. We didn't get a seat, even though there were still seats available. It seemed like they didn't have enough staff to serve the existing guests. - Too bad. The cancellations weren't very friendly due to the stress. Our group of five was very disappointed. ...You should just be prepared for this if you want to go there.

A rustic apple wine restaurant in Sachsenhausen, rather uninviting from the outside. The food is delicious, and the service is attentive.

Food: Delicious & plentiful. I had the "Frankfurter specialties" with green sauce. Every piece was tasty and juicy. Service: Very, very good! With helpful hints and tips (like how to drink apple wine). Always friendly. The waitress was alone during my visit, but she still had the lunch business fully under control. Atmosphere: Cozy & clean. A bit cluttered for my taste and not clearly structured. The price tags that were constantly strewn about were a nuisance.

I've been going to Frau Rauscher's for what feels like forever; I've brought countless people here or recommended it. Consistently delicious, with generous portions and always friendly service. A good selection of dishes. A quaint atmosphere. Popular with tourists, but unfortunately no longer has an inner courtyard.

We were here as away fans before an Eintracht game, and we really enjoyed it! Friendly service, delicious handkäs (cheese) and apple wine (my first time, I immediately became a fan) in a quaint setting. We'll be back next season!

Never had such a bad "Frankfurter" meal. The schnitzel had a mouthfeel of potato chips, the potatoes were bland, the green sauce was white and tasted more like horseradish... even the side salad was rotten. The ambiance is rustic, but the dark, warm light unfortunately clashes with the 50-inch LED billboard with its continuous advertising. Top-notch service. But that doesn't save it :(

The ambiance is quaint, no question. But the food is terrible. The fried potatoes are dry and burnt, the schnitzel is tough and bland, the green sauce is meager and tastes more like it's from a can than freshly prepared. Frau Rauscher seems like a tourist trap to me and is unfortunately not a place I'd recommend if you want something to eat. The drinks are perfectly fine.

We ordered a grilled meal for two, and the amount of meat was incredible; it could have fed 3 or even 4 people. The apple wine was very good. The price was good, and the place was a great choice.

A good place in the gastronomic district to try the city's typical dishes. Order the green sauce and the frankfurter, and the sausage is especially good. The apple liqueur is also good. Recommended.

We have taste Apfelwein and Frau Rauscher special drink and I like them.

In my opinion, this is the best Ebbelwoi restaurant in Frankfurt. Here you still get real food and not convenience foods: real schnitzel, real green sauce, and real fried potatoes. The Ebbelwoi and medlars are top-notch, and the prices are the same as in 2015. The only shame is that there's no outdoor seating in the summer, but that's just because of the limited space.

A restaurant just to my taste – very quaint and full of character. Delicious food (I ordered the grilled platter) and very competent and friendly staff who were attentive, offered recommendations, and explained the traditions of Frankfurt cuisine. I spent a very pleasant evening at the Apfelweinwirtschaft and was completely satisfied in the end.

Nice place, but you'll need to bring your time or make a reservation. They do have delicious apple wine varieties. The menu offers plenty of choice, perhaps a bit too much. It's a good 12-minute walk from the Eiserner Steg (Eisern Bridge). We'll definitely visit again.

We were there as part of a larger group. The service and ambiance were excellent, but the food was unfortunately very poor. The schnitzel tasted of nothing, the fried potatoes lacked salt, and the green sauce was rather mediocre. The veal schnitzel was unfortunately similar... Furthermore, there's no outdoor seating, which can quickly become very stuffy on hot summer days.

We were really drawn to the atmosphere of the place; it looked like Frau Rauscher's house. Small and cozy, perfect for our first lunch in Frankfurt. We ordered the Gobe Bauernbratwurst and the pork knuckle (schweinshaxe gegrillit), and both were incredible! Highly recommended. Later, we learned that Frau was quite a character. The restaurant is next to the sink where Frau spits water every so often—haha, very funny. Also, try the Apflewein, an apple wine similar to cider, very traditional to the area. The restaurant's wine was delicious, and they sell it in a jug! We went back the next day, and I ordered that typical green sauce with meatloaf. Delicious!

Heard about this hidden gem of a place from some locals and it turned out to be the best German food I had in Frankfurt! The service was so nice and the food was amazing and so flavorful compared to all the other dry schnitzel I'd been having in other places. They have a green sauce that goes with it that is to die for and I'm not even someone who likes sauces. Overall I consider this a must hit spot if you're in Frankfurt and wishing to try some good local food. Not to mention the rustic look the establishment has adds to the beauty.

If you want the real, authentic Sachsenhausen Apfelweinwirtschaft experience, Frau Rauscher is a must-visit. It's lively, traditional, and exactly what you hope for. We sat in the cozy courtyard and had the classic Rippchen mit Kraut und Bratkartoffeln. The pork was tender and the potatoes were perfectly crispy. Of course, we washed it all down with some sour, refreshing Apfelwein. A fantastic place with great service!

Frau Rauscher is the right place for people who appreciate good German cuisine and apple wine in a rustic atmosphere.

Comimos comidas tradicionales con salsa verde de Frankfurt (tuve un schnitzel y mi esposa tuvo Maultaschen). Muy sabroso y muy auténtico! Para beber tuvimos un Bembel de vino de manzana que también es muy tradicional para Frankfurt. Un Bembel es una jarra; el vino de manzana de Frankfurt es como la sidra británica. Somehow it's nondescript and dark in the room. There is an atmosphere of German cuisine, but it's like you're sitting in a cave. Old restaurant; I don't think the menu has ever been changed. The fried potatoes take some getting used to; they come with the skin on and are fried hard; they weren't to our taste. The staff is friendly and well-organized. It was an experience.

Quaint, typically Frankfurt! A typical Frankfurt pub with Apple Wine, green sauce, and typical dishes. What more could you want? A bit hidden away, but right in the heart of Alt Sachsen Hausen! Really reasonable prices and super friendly service! The snow flurry and the coins with green sauce are great!

Yesterday, we went to dinner as a group at Mrs. Rauscher's. Unfortunately, the coleslaw (with a side dish of schnitzel) had already gone bad. Our warning was met with a simple, "I'll tell the kitchen."

Dear Google bad review explorers, please fasten your seatbelt and check the mic. Cause I've got one for you. Pork knuckle was by far the worst one i ever tasted. Not juicy, the outer fat is dry and hard as a bone. Green sauce not enough seasoning and the meat spread that came with the green sauce utter disaster of a meat collection. The meats must have been weeks old. Even the potatoes have no flavour just boiled potatoes. How hard is it to season a potato. They depended too much on the green sauce to make the dish better but alas the sauce was sorry excuse of a bad yogurt. The inly good this was the Handkäs mit music, because it's the only one dish that was store bought. At least the price was cheap as the quality so at least we didn't break the bank to survive this. And cherry on top the service. If you are a tourist come visiting I hope you come prepared with your stone face because you will be told off by "german directness" in full galore even if you can speak german with them. The service scolded us for not reserving seat and just stopping by when 80% of the place was empty. To the manager (if you happen to read this): thank you for the warm hospitality—it truly felt like you couldn’t wait to throw us out.

Best place for German food with reasonable price!

I had dinner at this restaurant with colleagues on a business trip. The place was very crowded, perhaps because of the fair in town. The initial service was very slow, about half an hour of waiting before receiving the menu, but the waitress apologized for the wait. The area of the club where we were was very small and crowded, for this reason the noise in the room was high and it was difficult to talk at the table. Traditional dishes well made, nothing exceptional, but still good. Good position that allows you to make a walk after dinner.

Was there with my team. Up to our reservation we got a big table for about 20 persons .. interesting place where you can enjoy the Frankfurter dishes as well as the cool atmosphere.. Testy food, friendly staff, calm atmosphere was well as suitable prices . Big like ☺️

Hmmmm... Nice service, typical ambiance - Sachsenhausen, that's what you'd call it... The apple wine was delicious, and the food: large portions. The Frankfurter Schnitzel was good, the Jägerschnitzel itself was OK, but the sauce: there were mushrooms somewhere in the black mush, absolutely not my taste. It's worth it, and the prices are OK, too.

We had grilled pork knuckle and Frankfurt Schnitzel with Frau Rauscher Speierling and Frankfurt apple wine. Pork knuckle was tasty and juicy and the skin was thin and crispy. The side dishes: farmer's bread had a nice aroma that I couldn't tell and the sauerkraut paired with pork knuckle perfectly! Frankfurt Schnitzel was not to my liking, since the breading did not fully stick to the meat. BUT, the green sauce is divine! It's truly refreshing, appetizing, and special. Green sauce is a must try here! Overall, friendly and prompt service, fair price with big portion.

Typical cider farm in Frankfurt, which unfortunately is becoming fewer and fewer. A large selection of different types of cider. Hearty typical food and live music. Toilet could be cleaned occasionally. The service team was very attentive and friendly. Gladly again. Be sure to book a table in advance!

When I'm in Frankfurt, I like to be a guest here. Eating out here is now an integral part of visiting Frankfurt. The service is nice and very fast. The portions are more than generous and the food is also very good! The prices are absolutely fair!

We received excellent service, advice, and proactive support on two consecutive evenings. Despite our busy schedules, we were also able to get the same table at the same time the following evening. Excellent and tasty food, delicious drinks, and attentive service, always on par. The price-performance ratio is unbeatable by Frankfurt standards. Food was super tasty, generous portions, prices reasonable. Service depends on the day, orders take a long time at peak times. Traditional business, much quieter after lunchtime during the week, full in the evenings and on weekends, loud and cramped.

The food is typically "Frankfurter." The side salad was very tasty, but the fried potatoes could have been fried more thoroughly and the fries could have been fried longer. Otherwise, everything was excellent.

We were at the event location and received a very interesting journey through time about the district and the cider. Location, lecture and tasting… everything was great. The food was ok. Had the slaughter platter and instead of the ribs I received a fairly dry piece of meat.

You should definitely go to Mrs. Rauscher's for dinner. We had heard so many good things. We didn't have a reservation and of course it was full on Saturday evening. Nevertheless, a solution was found for us that we were very happy with. The waiter was very attentive and friendly. The timing between serving the starter and main course was also great. The dishes were very tasty and filling. A top price-performance ratio. Gladly again, but then with reservation.
