I have known “Dubs” since the 70s. Always delicious to eat at his place, the sauces in particular are unbeatable, thank you!

Some time ago I was a guest at a wedding on the Igling Castle grounds. Since we had previously eaten at the inn here, I was looking forward to the day. Unfortunately, we were all extremely disappointed: the taste of the food was almost inedible and, as if that wasn't disappointment enough, some of the wrong food was prepared. The waitresses and the innkeeper were visibly overwhelmed and acted annoyed throughout the evening. The toilets were not designed for a large celebration. All in all, I cannot recommend the Schlossstuben for celebrations. The food in the inn, on the other hand, was good at the time.

Super nice mother and daughter in service. Small but nice menu with additional daily specials. Delicious. Reasonable prices. We'll definitely be back

Food was okay, value for money was great. The service was rather less good, there was nothing going on and you had to wait forever for service. The atmosphere is very old and worn out.

A quaint restaurant where you can eat cheaply and well. Time seems to have stood still here. Manageable selection of dishes. Rather simple cuisine, but delicious schnitzels and chicken. No salads or desserts. Friendly and attentive service. If you want cheap and good simple food, this is the right place for you.

Great chef and great service at reasonable prices. Unfortunately, this is no longer a given today. Every dish we've eaten so far in a few visits has been down-to-earth, superbly crafted and tasted great, plus it fills you up and it's affordable. What more could you want? This restaurant deserves every great review and many guests. Thanks

The food was excellent, the service was very friendly and attentive, but the ambience leaves a lot to be desired. A refresh is in order, overall it's not really comfortable and it's a little outdated. (visit 2019)

If you are in Masserberg you should definitely visit the Herrnhaus inn. If you like Thuringian dishes, you're in the right place. We have been there several times and have never been disappointed. The comfortably furnished inn is located slightly off the main road in beautiful and quiet surroundings. When the weather is nice, you can also enjoy cool drinks and good food on the cozy outdoor terrace. Note opening times. The price/performance ratio is great. The very friendly landlord is happy to provide information about current specialties that are not on the menu. If you have any questions about the surrounding area or sights, you will also be in good hands with the innkeeper. Conclusion: highly recommended - we would be happy to come back.
