Great food and nice ambiance at Krungthep restaurant in Darmstadt the staff and very attentive. We had Somtam Thai, Laab Gai, Pad Thai with prawns and Pad Med Mamuang. For dessert, the Pandan Cake. Yes!! Every dish was yummy. Let's eat Thai Food Before you Die.

We ate there today with friends based on their recommendation. When we entered the restaurant we were greeted very friendly. Service, attention and communication were TOP The food was very good and plentiful so no one has to go home hungry. The prices are a little higher but absolutely TOP for the performance and quality. The cleanliness of the toilets was also TOP. All in all you can say: We felt very comfortable, were very satisfied and the food was also very, very good. We'll definitely come back.

The food and especially the service were great. The only criticism of this evening: Since I was quickly full, I had the rest packed up. I would have liked to have been made aware that the container costs 4 euros. It was then on the bill, which I only saw when I got home.

We have now visited the Thai restaurant Krungthep in Darmstadt twice because we were curious following the recommendations of several friends and acquaintances. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn't impress us on both visits. We had a few criticisms on our first visit, especially regarding the food. The dishes we tried did not live up to our expectations or the high reviews we had previously heard. Despite this disappointment, we gave the Krungthep a second chance, hoping that we had simply had a bad day. But the impression remained the same on the second visit: the food didn't convince us again. This is particularly disappointing when you look at the prices. In terms of price, Krungthep is one of the more upscale restaurants in Darmstadt, and we were hoping for correspondingly tasty cuisine for this price. Unfortunately, we found the price-performance ratio to be inadequate, especially in comparison to other restaurants in Darmstadt, which in our opinion not only offer cheaper but also better quality dishes. However, the service is positive. The staff were extremely friendly, attentive and accommodating on both visits. The ambience of the restaurant is also very appealing. The mix of modern furnishings and traditional Thai elements creates a pleasant atmosphere that invites you to linger. The restaurant has really succeeded in this aspect and contributes to an overall pleasant stay. However, despite the positive experience with the service and the appealing atmosphere, we probably won't visit Krungthep a third time.

We looked for a good Thai for a very long time and finally found one. The food is outstanding and cannot be beaten. In addition, every customer is very welcome and the service makes the meal a wonderful and relaxed evening/lunch. We eat there almost every day because we like it so much. The service was top, very accommodating, quick and our four dishes were served together by two waiters and were still very hot. Wir wollten das Restaurant mal ausprobieren und waren spontan Vorort um vielleicht ohne Reservierung einen Tisch zu bekommen. Als wir Vorort waren viele Tische leer und haben sehr freundlich nach einem Tisch gefragt und wir lange nach einem guten Thailänder suchen. Es war nicht möglich einen Tisch zu bekommen obwohl wir schnell gegessen hätten.wir kennen es nicht das Gäste weggeschickt werden bzw. Haben noch nie so eine schlechte Erfahrung gemacht. Ein Kunde sollte immer als König behandelt werden. Wir zahlen ja auch etwas dafür.. Wir werden die Location nicht empfehlen und auch nicht nochmal hinfahren. Anscheinend benötigen sie den Umsatz nicht

Great upscale Thai restaurant. A little more expensive than you're used to in Thai restaurants, but the food is really good and very authentic. The atmosphere is quite modern but still cozy and the staff is super attentive and friendly. If you want to eat more upscale Thai food and don't expect street food, you'll definitely be happy here. We're always happy to come back! Reservations are strongly recommended as it is usually very busy. The drinks, whether cocktails or lemonade, are also very good.

Krungthep is truly one of the best restaurants in the Rhine-Main area. The food is excellent, the atmosphere is super pleasant and the people who work there are really attentive and courteous. In my opinion, the prices are justified, the menu is written really beautifully and in detail, the dishes are wonderfully prepared, but above all super tasty and our waiter this evening knew what he was talking about, gave us the best advice and gave us a very good evening. Important: You have to make a reservation in advance, otherwise you may be out of luck (unfortunately this happened to us in the past - it was our own fault and speaks for the restaurant). Small Thai restaurant in an upscale bistro style. Quite a few tables, rather functional furnishings. Large menu with many, including lesser-known dishes. Everything was deliciously prepared and beautifully presented. My wife's curry was a bit too soupy, i.e. too much sauce in relation to the ingredients. The prices are ambitious, but the quality and quantity are right. Good wine list, but with spicy dishes I prefer beer. The waitresses are extremely accommodating. The location is very difficult to reach by public transport. Parking on the street.

As a foodie who discovers new restaurant almost every week, I find the rules that everyone must order a drink or extra charge （for nothing）will be in the bill is ridiculous.

Absolutely high-end restaurant. Everything fit perfectly. The food was simply fantastic in all areas, authentically Thai and of a very high quality. You can tell that you have dealt with each dish in order to offer it as perfectly as possible. The atmosphere is very modern but also cozy. And the sanitary facilities are sparkling clean. The service was very professional and friendly, as you would expect in a 5 star hotel. And for all of the above, the prices were still outrageously cheap.

It was really nice again last night! The two of us ate here and I can only keep saying how nice it is to come here and what attentive, wonderful service you get here. Last store… Some of the food was really good, but some of it was run of the mill! The service staff was really great, but the boss put everything into perspective in the end. If that's what you mean by “service”, then good night. One of us wasn't there due to illness...But of course it was stupid of us that we unfortunately came without a certificate and photos as evidence...because the boss made a big scene here, considering his physical requirements, as one can only allow something like that to happen. When the boss wanted to pay at the end, it was too early for the boss, because unfortunately €280 wasn't enough, and so a flat rate of €25 was charged for the missing guest. So in conclusion, a lot of pseudo-show about a poor service!

We came across the Krungthep Thai Restaurant by chance when we actually came from Frankfurt and felt hungry during a visit to the Segmüller Möbelhaus. Thanks to a quick Google search, we ended up there - and it turned out to be the best Thai restaurant we've ever visited! The curry sauce was spiced and savory just right, while the chicken marinade in the Pad Med Mamuang was a real revelation - we had never tried anything like it! The staff was extremely accommodating and the cleanliness of the toilets left nothing to be desired. Many other restaurants could learn a lesson here when it comes to hygiene. All in all, our evening at Krungthep was a completely successful experience.

I admit, we had some teething problems - but then it turned out to be a perfect evening with perfect food. Do you know that(?) you go to Thai and somehow everything always tastes the same everywhere(?) Not so in Krungthep: I can taste the differences and the quality of the food is really sensational. What is important to me as a wine drinker is that it also has a nice selection of wines - that is also the case here. I actually only wanted to give 4 stars for the service - but then I decided on the 5th star. As I said, we had some teething problems. In the first few minutes I had the feeling of being "unwelcome" - but that went away relatively quickly and for this reason the 5 stars are much fairer than the 4 would have been. We will 100% not go to any other Thai in Darmstadt again. Little tip: Read the foreword in the menu - every word of it is correct! 2nd tip: There is a soup - I forgot the name - but the menu says "one of the most popular soups in Thailand" - EAT this soup... yes, spicy!!! but so incredibly delicious! I was recently in bed for a few days with a fever of over 40°. I asked my daughter to get me this soup... IT HELPED Small note and THUMBS UP for the “To go” Here everything is packed into reusable containers!!!! For that alone you should support this store...

Simply the best Thai in Darmstadt!

Der Laden ist zwar eigentlich abends immer sehr gut besucht, scheint mir aber immer noch vergleichsweise unbekannt zu sein. Mittlerweile wohl der beste Thailänder Darmstadts; besonders empfehlenswert sind die Rindfleischgerichte (in der Regel sogar rosa gebraten) und Roti (eine Art Blätterteiggebäck - ist ja selten genug, dass Thailänder auch mit Desserts punkten können)!

Unfortunately not suitable for vegetarians/vegans. Almost all dishes contain fish sauce/oyster sauce. When I asked if the dish could also be made vegetarian, I was told that it wasn't possible. In Thailand, however, this can easily be done in every snack bar/restaurant, no matter how small. Simply replace fish sauce with soy sauce and replace oyster sauce with mushroom sauce. That would be authentic! It's a shame that didn't work out here and the restaurant only offers fried rice for vegetarians.

The restaurant is small, but has a great ambience. Despite the glass facade, it is very cozy. The service staff were very friendly, attentive and quick. The food was fantastic! The only minor point of criticism: The menu stated that one of the dishes we ordered was very spicy, but unfortunately it wasn't. That wasn't bad, next time we'll just order extra spicy :-) An all-round successful evening, the restaurant is highly recommended and we would be happy to come back.

Sehr leckeres Essen, die Thai Küche wird hier noch einmal auf ein ganz neues Niveau gebracht. Das Essen ist immer super lecker angerichtet und geschmacklich eine 10/10. Am besten sollte man hier immer rechtzeitig reservieren. Wenn man an den Hochtischen am Fenster sitzt, ist es manchmal etwas umständlich dem Service ein Zeichen zu geben.

Relativ neues Thailändisches Restaurant in Darmstadt, etwas abseits gelegen im Industriegebiet hinter dem Hauptbahnhof. Von daher eventuell noch ein "Geheimtipp", wobei sich die Lokalität bei Liebhabern der asiatischen und exotischen Küche längst herumgesprochen haben sollte. Hier gibt es landestypische thailändische Gerichte und Köstlichkeiten in einer Vielzahl an Variationen. Auch das landestypische Chang-Bier ist hier erhältlich. Wer traditionelles und sehr, sehr extra-scharfes asiatisches Essen mag, der ist hier genau richtig aufgehoben: Auf Nachfrage, eigenen Wunsch und eigene Gefahr wird hier das Essen mit landestypischer Chili-Schärfe gewürzt und serviert! Also nochmal schärfer als es auf der Karte eh schon draufsteht. Aber VORSICHT: das ist nichts für Ungeübte und Weicheier. Man sollte schon sehr, sehr extra-scharfes Essen gewohnt sein, um die dementsprechend zubereiteten Gerichte noch genießen zu können. Ansonsten brennt es einem nur noch im Mund, und man wartet auf den Moment, wenn der Schmerz endlich nachläßt. Eigentlich nur etwas für wahre Chili-Heads und "Masochisten". Ansonsten ist das "normale" Essen superlecker und absolut empfehlenswert. Das Ambiente ist auch sehr einladend und gemütlich, aber das ist natürlich wie immer ein subjektiver Eindruck. Wenn man genügend Zeit dort verbringen möchte, dann es zudem ebenso empfehlenswert, einen Platz zu reservieren, da sich die Lokalität sehr großer Beliebtheit erfreut und nicht übermäßig groß ist. Unbedingt reservieren, da sonst schwierig. Service sehr freundlich. Essen sehr frisch, lecker und authentisch. Leider ist es für Veganer und Vegetarier (die auch kein Fisch essen) schwierig. Deshalb würden wir nicht mehr dort essen gehen und dafür gibt es nur 3 Sterne.

Für uns das beste Thailändische Restaurant weit und breit. Die Leute dort sind super freundlich, gehen auf Gästewünsche ein und sind sehr aufmerksam. Man fühlt sich sofort sehr wohl dort. Das Essen unterscheidet sich doch von vielen anderen thailändischen Restaurants vor allem durch seine ausgesuchten Gewürze. Das macht etwas Besonderes aus jedem Gericht. Nach zwei Vorspeisen hatten wir zum Hauptgericht Laab Ped (siehe Bild 1), einen Fleischsalat mit zarter Entenbrust und Klebreis, von den Gewürzen her etwas ungewöhnlich aber super lecker. Da es nicht so scharf sein sollte, haben wir die milde Variante bestellt und dann nach Bedarf gewürzt. Außerdem gab es Pad Mhed Mahmuang (siehe Bild 2) mit zartem Hähnchenfilet aus dem Wok, ein toller sehr fein gewürzter Genuss. Zum Nachtisch noch das ausgezeichnete Khaoniew Mahmuang mit süß, salzigem Klebreis und Mango. Wir haben die nächsten Termine schon reserviert und nehmen gerne Freunde und Geschäftspartner mit zum Essen hierher. Vielen Dank nochmal an das Team, wir kommen wieder.

Sehr zuvorkommender, freundlicher und aufmerksamer Service. Super leckeres und vor allem frisch zubereitetes Essen. Schönes Ambiente. Jederzeit wieder :-)
