Definitely one of the best Thai restaurants in the region. I was initially confused because there used to be a cafeteria on this site. The current ambiance is very nice, and the service was attentive and friendly. There was a delicious small salad as a welcome gift from the kitchen. All the dishes were delicious.

I came here because the restaurant has very good reviews and I saw they serve Pad Thai. I tried the lunch special and ordered an appetizer and iced tea. Everything was good, and the Pad Thai was also tasty, but it wasn't your classic Pad Thai. I wouldn't order it for the regular price of €18-19. I realize it's difficult to find authentic Pad Thai, especially so far from Thailand.

To charge the customer extra 5 euros bec he did not order a drink is not acceptable at all. I have never experienced this even in upscaled restaurant. Food is ok with good ingredient but the taste is not balanced, lacking the flavor. The papaya salad was very sweet. Pad Thai was bland. My wife didn't order a drink for personal reasons, and we were told that a €5 surcharge would be charged in such a case. We've never experienced anything like this in a restaurant before. Not a good start, but we decided to stay. Some ingredients were of good quality, including local meat and organic produce. Nevertheless, the flavors weren't well balanced. The papaya salad, for example, was far too sweet. Perhaps just a slip-up. The strict rules and the owner's inflexible attitude made the experience less than pleasant. A restaurant visit should convey a sense of hospitality, not just deliver the food.

My wife and I were there yesterday. We both thought the food was great. There's really nothing to complain about here, and it's very tasty. Unfortunately, my wife's waitress brought out the wrong food, and by the time she got hers, I was already finished. It's annoying, but it can happen. What I didn't like, though, was how the service reacted. My wife hadn't finished her meal, and we wanted to take it with us. We were supposed to pay €4 for a plastic box. I politely asked the lady, since it was our anniversary and we couldn't enjoy our meal together, if she could accommodate us with a box. She told us that wasn't possible. I think that's a shame! We weren't even offered a drink or something similar as a small apology at the end, even though we paid well over €100. Update 14.08 The team contacted us afterward and apologized. That's not something to be taken for granted, and we were very impressed. We'll definitely be back, because apart from this incident, the food was really great!

The drinks are well-chosen, with a nice selection of classics and exciting original creations – perfectly matched to the dishes. The service is friendly and attentive, making you feel welcome from the very first moment. The atmosphere is pleasantly relaxed, with a blend of modern style and cozy ambiance. You can feel the passion and heart that goes into it. The only downside: The evening opening hours are relatively short, which is a shame, because you'd love to sit here longer, let the evening fade away, and maybe enjoy another drink. Nevertheless – absolutely recommended and definitely a place I'd happily return to.

Krungthep in Darmstadt impresses with its fantastic Thai cuisine! The curries are incredibly delicious, and the meat is always perfectly prepared. The little treat before the meal is especially nice – a small taste on the house, which whets your curiosity. Whether it's an appetizer (the Tom Kha soup is a dream!) or dessert (the mango sticky rice tastes simply divine) – every dish is first-class. I really couldn't find anything wrong with it and I'm impressed every time. Add to that the super friendly staff welcomes you warmly and makes you feel at home immediately. If you love authentic Thai cuisine, this is the place for you! I highly recommend it!

The restaurant itself is stylishly decorated and has two beautiful outdoor areas, which we were kindly informed about – including the honest information that wasps were currently roaming around. We found this openness and consideration very pleasant and professional. The service was excellent: warm, unobtrusive, yet consistently attentive. You had the feeling that every guest was truly cared for, without being intrusive. The food arrived quickly, was freshly prepared, and absolutely delicious – finely balanced, authentic, and lovingly presented. The team was patient and helpful even when answering questions about the dishes, which made the entire evening even more enjoyable. Very good food, a huge selection. Very authentic dishes, you can feel the passion that goes into them. The restaurant is pleasantly air-conditioned. Sun worshippers can also sit outside. The decor is very cozy without being kitschy. The service is simply excellent! Welcoming staff, attentive, friendly, and without being intrusive. Five of us were there today and really enjoyed the evening and the meal. We were particularly pleased with the welcome from the kitchen before the actual meal. Plenty of parking is available.

I've been here several times now, always for dinner, always totally happy - with the incredibly delicious, fresh food, with the really friendly, open-minded service, with the beautiful atmosphere. First of all: you can easily find a parking space, you are greeted warmly, you have a table where you can have a good conversation with the other person (unless the lady at the next table has an increased need for recognition or is hard of hearing), you are served courteously, even if you are a slow eater you can enjoy in peace without the plates being hectically cleared away at the other places, you get really well-chilled drinks, you can put your leftovers in reusable deposit containers take along. And you can see how carefully every table that is freed up is cleaned. Great. You can't get all of this at a dumping price, as those who like to look at money should know... In any case, I'm dragging everyone here who doesn't know Krungthep yet. The others come along voluntarily.

Wir sind den Weg (75km) auf Raten eines Freundes gefahren und jeder km hat sich im nach hinein gelohnt. Schon der nette Empfang und danach der ganze Abend war so harmonisch, wie ich es auch aus Bangkok kenne..............unsere Servicekraft (Lukas) hätte auch ein Thai sein können, denn seine Freundlich- und Emsigkeit hat den ganzen Abend so schön gemacht......nix Servicewüste - Deutschland Tipp: am besten schon zu Hause das Menue studieren, dann muß man vor Ort nicht so viel lesen und verstehen. Alle Gerichte, ob Vor- oder Hauptspeise waren auf absoluten Topniveau und frisch zubereitet.......man merkt, daß hier nicht an der Qualität der Produkte gespart wird, um so mehr waren wir über die angenehmen Preise erstaunt. Die Weinkarte besteht aus namhaften Weingütern zu moderaten Preisen. Unser Besuch war zu 100% nicht der letzte dort........

The waiter made great recommendations after asking what you liked. The dishes are very large and of very high quality. There are four different sauces to spice up the meal. The furnishings are modern and very pleasant. The shop invites you to linger. The restaurant is very environmentally conscious and thinks about sustainability. There are recycled boxes with a deposit to pack up if you can't make your meal. I can only recommend Krungthep and will definitely come back. Thank you for the lovely evening.

Mega tasty and top service top location will definitely come back

We've eaten there several times and ordered takeaway a few times. No matter whether on site or at home, the food was always really tasty. There is a deposit system for take-away food. You get a box for 5 euros, which you can then bring back and get the deposit money back. Even in the box, the food is beautifully presented and just as tasty as in the restaurant. The staff on site is super polite. If I could give more points, the restaurant would get more points for the food and this great service. I can only warmly recommend it. :)

The drinks are recommended👍 There was a deduction for the higher salt content in the food (we had to quench our thirst with water after the visit 😢. Service: The service was just great ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ambiance: The restaurant is beautifully designed and inviting thanks to the many windows in the restaurant👍. I've been to Krungthep for a quick dinner three times so far and have been very satisfied every time. Although we haven't really explored the menu yet, preferring to stick to the tried and tested (satay, glass noodle salad, Pad Thai), we were absolutely impressed by the taste and service. Although the prices are on the higher end, the quality of the food is definitely good. Extra requests, such as a little less chili in the glass noodle salad, were taken into account, and there are clear announcements about this, such as if the kitchen is no longer open, dishes are no longer available at short notice or that only reusable take-away dishes cost a deposit. The service is very quick, pleasant, unobtrusive and courteous. Gladly again.

Food: There is a large selection of dishes and what I ordered was incredibly tasty and prepared in such a way that you wanted to eat it. Service: The waiter who served us was very, very nice and spoke to us in a friendly and not too intrusive manner. The Krugthep is one of our favorite restaurants in Darmstadt. The cuisine is authentically Thai, the ingredients are of high quality and the taste experience is unique every time! The atmosphere in the light-flooded and modernly designed guest room is pleasant and really cozy in the dark thanks to cleverly placed lights. The service always keeps a close eye on the guests and is very accommodating, friendly and polite. The sustainable and reusable doggy bag packaging, on which a deposit is charged but which can be returned to Krungthep or any other participating restaurant, is also very commendable.

The food is a 10/10. Great preparation. The service is extremely friendly and accommodating. The ambience is very nice. I'll definitely come back. Highly recommended.

We ate there today with friends based on their recommendation. When we entered the restaurant we were greeted very friendly. Service, attention and communication were TOP The food was very good and plentiful so no one has to go home hungry. The prices are a little higher but absolutely TOP for the performance and quality. The cleanliness of the toilets was also TOP. All in all you can say: We felt very comfortable, were very satisfied and the food was also very, very good. We'll definitely come back.

The food and especially the service were great. The only criticism of this evening: Since I was quickly full, I had the rest packed up. I would have liked to have been made aware that the container costs 4 euros. It was then on the bill, which I only saw when I got home.
