Chun's China Restaurant in Wesel

A real highlight – highly recommended! I recently visited Chun's China Restaurant and I'm absolutely thrilled! As soon as you enter, you're greeted warmly and immediately made to feel at home. The atmosphere is pleasant and inviting – perfect for a relaxed meal. The food was simply outstanding: freshly prepared, perfectly seasoned, and truly delicious. You can tell the cooking here is done with love. Whether it's an appetizer, main course, or dessert – everything was spot on. I also particularly liked the variety on the menu. A big compliment to the entire team: The service was very friendly, attentive, and always there without being intrusive. Even special requests were easily accommodated – that's not something you'd take for granted and shows how customer-focused they are here. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable visit. If you're looking for good Chinese food and friendly service, this is the place to be. I'll definitely be back!

Our first visit was on May 3rd, 2025 and it definitely wasn't the last. The Peking duck was very good in all 5 courses. From the reservation to the farewell, it was a very friendly contact and we can only recommend the restaurant. Thank you for the nice welcome and successful evening.

Lunch menu and service are great 😊

We've been there several times and it was really nice. Above all, the owner and her husband were always friendly and tried very hard. However, on the last visit they weren't visible and the gentleman who took the food didn't make any notes and therefore my food didn't come as ordered and this was also complained about at the next table. However, the "waiter" didn't take any notice of it and just said that we had ordered it that way. That doesn't work at all! This time the spring roll as a starter also arrived on the plate slightly burnt. At the moment I no longer have any appetite for this food.

For me one of the best Asian restaurants. We like to order the fried noodles with chicken. My daughter also loves the food and gets a children's portion there. The staff is always friendly and accommodating and the prices are okay for today, but the quality is really very good. So if you're hungry for Asian dishes, you've found the best local here.

We ate here for the first time tonight. Nice restaurant, very clean... small but nice. Friendly staff... unfortunately, we got the wrong food. We ordered the 35 (beef fried rice). Unfortunately, we got noodles, not rice. It was tasty, but we ordered something else. Maybe next time we'll be fine.

Cozy, a real insider tip! The food is great, tasty and fresh, the service is excellent, the portions are generous. Always my pleasure. Once discovered, simply perfect! I was particularly impressed by the lovely waitress with her incredibly open smile and friendly, humorous manner. Someone has clearly found the job of a lifetime!

We went to Chun's again today. The food is delicious! Not to be compared with the mass processing buffets. The service is always great too! I can only recommend this small but fine restaurant.

Manchmal hat man keine Lust zu kochen, dann bietet sich ein leckeres Mittagessen bei Chun's an. Einmalig, erstklassig, lecker, frisch - besser geht nicht. Freundliche Bedienung, gemütliches Ambiente. Und auch noch preisgünstig. Dafür kommen wir gerne von Hünxe nach Wesel.

Seit 2023 gehe ich dort sporadisch mit meiner Partnerin und/oder Bekannten essen – oder bestelle Speisen zum Abholen, um daheim „mit Stäbchen zu kämpfen“. Was soll ich sagen? Ich liebe es, dort zu essen! Egal, was ich dort bisher gegessen habe - ich war mit allem sehr zufrieden. Man kann alles empfehlen, was es auf der Speisekarte zu bestellen gibt. Ich war auch mit Arbeitskolleginnen dort essen. Eine der Kolleginnen ist Vegetarierin. Auch sie war begeistert vom Essen, so dass ich auch Vegetariern dieses Restaurant ans Herz legen möchte. Chun und ihr Ehemann Lam legen großen Wert auf Frische bei den verarbeiteten Produkten. Und diese Frische merkt man den Speisen auch an. Das Gemüse ist schön knackig und man bekommt Gerichte, die keine beziehungsweise für mich nicht merkbare Geschmacksverstärker beinhalten. Alles ist auf den Punkt zubereitet und schmeckt großartig. Und diejenigen unter euch, die gerne scharfes Essen mögen, sollten das auch unbedingt der Bedienung mitteilen. Wer das nämlich vernünftig kommuniziert, bekommt auch wirklich ein sehr scharfes Gericht vorgesetzt. Sagt also nicht einfach nur "gerne etwas schärfer" sondern sagt "bitte ordentlich asiatisch-scharf, nicht deutsch-scharf". Dann gerät auch schon mal ein Tropfen Schweiß auf eure Stirn und das Zahnfleisch rückt ein wenig nach oben, wenn ihr diese scharfe Leckerei verputzt :o)) Ich bin ein großer Fan der asiatischen Küche und koche selbst immer wieder unterschiedliche Gerichte aus Fernost sowie auch aus Indien. Das gelingt mir offensichtlich auch gut, sodass mein Anspruch sehr hoch ist, wenn wir auswärts essen. Ich bin jedoch kein Fan von Restaurants, die ausschließlich Buffet anbieten. Das ist 08/15-Küche, die absolut vergleichbar ist. Egal, in welcher Stadt man chinesische Restaurants besucht, schmeckt das Essen am Buffet m. E. überall gleich. Und man hat auch nicht die Möglichkeit, einzelne Zutaten wegzulassen. Möchte man z. B. keine Zwiebeln in einer bestimmten Soße, kann man das am Buffet nicht steuern. In Chuns Restaurant ist es möglich. Alles wird frisch zubereitet und man kann hierdurch individuell bestellen, so wie man es mag. Es gibt weit und breit kein chinesisches Restaurant, welches sich mit Chuns China Restaurant messen kann - so meine Meinung. Von mir bekommt Chun und Lam daher die volle Punktzahl und ich empfehle dieses Restaurant ausnahmslos! Die Inhaber sind übrigens super-nett und jeder Besuch ist auch ein Besuch (wie) bei Freunden…

The food was very tasty. The waiter sometimes gave the impression that he wasn't in the mood. After bringing the first drink, you had to make yourself known to get a second one. The restaurant is cozy and beautifully decorated.

Nice, small and cozy restaurant. Szechuan beef very tasty with nice roasted aromas, slightly caramelized. Black bean sauce with pork is equally delicious, not too garlicky. Fewer carrots, some corn, etc. could be good for the Sichuan vegetables. Definitely worth a visit.

Chuns China Restaurant - it's time for me to review the small Chinese restaurant at Pastor-Schmitz-Straße 4, on the outskirts of Wesel. For about a year now, I've been eating there sporadically with my partner and/or acquaintances - or ordering food to be picked up so I can "fight with chopsticks" at home. What can I say? I love eating there! You can browse up and down the menu there. Everything we have eaten so far has been first class. Chun and her husband Lam attach great importance to the freshness of the processed products, which is also evident in the dishes. The vegetables are nice and crunchy and you get dishes that contain no flavor enhancers or ones that I don't notice. Everything is prepared to perfection and tastes great. I am a big fan of Asian cuisine and always cook different dishes from the Far East. I obviously manage to do this well, so my standards are very high when we eat out. However, I am not a fan of restaurants that only serve buffets. This is run-of-the-mill cuisine that is absolutely comparable. No matter which city you visit Chinese restaurants in, in my opinion the food at the buffet tastes the same everywhere. And you don't have the option to leave out individual ingredients either. For example, if you want For example, if there are no onions in a certain sauce, you cannot control this at the buffet. It is possible in Chun's restaurant. Everything is freshly prepared and you can order individually, just the way you like it. There is no Chinese restaurant far and wide that can compete with Chun's China Restaurant. Chun and Lam gets full marks from me and I recommend this restaurant without exception! By the way, the owners are super nice and every visit is like visiting friends…

Have been there many times with friends. It makes sense to reserve a table. The restaurant is not very big but cozy, the staff is always friendly and takes care of the guests. The food is always fresh and the portions are generous. We always will come back to eat there!

Ein absolutes Muss für Liebhaber der chinesischen Küche! Das Essen ist frisch und unglaublich lecker, mit einer großen Auswahl an Gerichten, die perfekt zubereitet werden. Besonders hervorzuheben ist, dass das Team auf Sonderwünsche eingeht und sicherstellt, dass jeder Gast ein Gericht nach seinem Geschmack bekommt. Der Service ist aufmerksam und freundlich – man fühlt sich sofort willkommen und bestens umsorgt. Das Ambiente ist stilvoll und modern, dabei nicht typisch chinesisch, was dem Restaurant eine ganz besondere Atmosphäre verleiht. Auch die Sauberkeit ist tadellos, inklusive der Toiletten. Alles in allem eine rundum positive Erfahrung, die ich jedem nur empfehlen kann.

Es ist mal wieder an der Zeit, was zu Chun‘s Restaurant zu schreiben. Alle drei bis vier Wochen kehren wir dort ein (sind aus Dinslaken), und auch diesmal war es wieder sehr lecker. Das beste Babi Pangang ever 😋 Chun und ihr Mann (der Superkoch, der jedes Gericht anders „interpretiert“ und damit einmalig gut ist) sind sehr lieb und herzlich, und auch das Team ist sehr zuvorkommend. Wir sind immer wieder sehr gerne zu Gast!

Went here for the first time today (Saturday evening) and reserved a table (on the recommendation of work colleagues). That was the right decision. The restaurant is small but nice, the background noise is pleasant. The service is consistently very friendly and attentive. The food is fresh and the portion size is good. In short: everything is great!

We made a short-term reservation for lunch there today for three people. We were completely satisfied with the food, everything was super fresh and tasted extremely good. We had beef with onions and chicken strips in a panko coating. The spring roll that we had as a starter was also delicious and not as greasy as you unfortunately often get in Chinese restaurants. The service was also extremely nice and friendly. We will definitely come back!

Small, fine restaurant with very friendly service. We were here for the first time and chose dishes from the lunch menu, with either Peking soup or spring rolls. We liked it very much and were full. 2 meals and drinks each for around €25. We'll come back in the evening.

Wow das war wirklich ein klasse Abendessen. Frisch, lecker, toll zubereitete Gerichte. Kleine und richtig gut sortierte Karte. Wir haben drei mal die Ente probiert und einmal das Sate, perfekt. Eine leckere Ente haben wir noch nicht gegessen. Wunderbar zubereitet, auf den Punkt gegart, lecker angerichtet. Die Portionen hatten genau die richtige Größe um zu sättigen. Geschmacklich ganz toll und ausgewogen, nicht der übliche China-Geschmack, sondern einfach gut komponiert. Der Service ist aufmerksam, flott und sehr freundlich. Bitte weiter so, endlich wieder ein gutes Restaurant in der Nähe.

I had the pleasure of dining at this family-run restaurant and have nothing but positive things to say. The owners are extremely friendly and create a welcoming atmosphere that makes the visit particularly pleasant. The ambience is tastefully decorated and the option to eat al fresco adds to the relaxed atmosphere. The food was simply outstanding - I had a duck dish that was prepared with fresh ingredients and tasted absolutely convincing. It was without a doubt one of the best duck dishes I have ever tasted. I'm already looking forward to my next visit and can highly recommend this restaurant! 😊

We went to Chun's again this evening for dinner, quite spontaneously, and were very happy to get a table. My wife enjoyed the baked chicken with hoisin sauce and vegetables with rice and I enjoyed the baked duck with housin sauce, vegetables and rice. Both were super tasty and well prepared. Chun's China Restaurant has been around for over a year and for me it is the best Chinese cuisine in Wesel. Everything is freshly prepared, top quality and the team is very friendly. Special requests are taken into account (spiciness, intolerances, etc.) If you order 3 days in advance (4 people or more), you can even get the traditional Peking duck. Definitely reserve a table in advance, the restaurant is not very big. In summer you can also sit outside.
