Very interesting restaurant near the "Rödertor", the place is busy, so it's better to reserve a table in advance.

This hotel gets good ratings because for under 100 euros a night you're getting a guest house right outside one of the major gates, That's a screaming good deal. For that price, you can get a real dump, and this is, in many respects a decent hotel. However, in other respects, you get what you pay for. We had dropped off our luggage in the morning, and were surprised to learn that if we wanted to check in, we had to do it *before* 2 p.m. or *after* 5 p.m. That's usually when most guests arrive. A higher-priced hotel couldn’t have gotten away with that. It took a few minutes for the warm water to come on in the shower, and there were a few missing lights in the room. Breakfast didn’t start until 8 a.m., which put us under some time pressure. If I had remembered how cheap the price was, I would have been happier with a breakfast that had a cappuccino and a soft-boiled egg as the sole warm items.

Rating for restaurant only, we were NOT hotel guests! From the staff to the atmosphere to the food - everything was absolutely convincing and made the evening a real pleasure! We felt very, very comfortable and went home satisfied and full. That's how it should be!

In the middle of the old town of Rothenburg Clean rooms and nice service

Das Lokal gibt es als Spätzle Schwob schon lange nicht mehr. Nur leider ist der frühere Wirt offenbar unfähig, das entsprechend bekannt zu geben. Das Lokal ist jetzt die Goldene Gans!!! und nach dem Umbau wunderschön und einladend geworden. Es ist gemütlich und das Essen mega gut zu moderaten Preisen. Ein Besuch lohnt sich unbedingt!!!

Unfortunately, miserable food! Turkey breast and Rießenschnitzel from the freezer are heated until crispy in the deep fryer. No locally sourced meat pan fried as advertised. The mushroom sauce for the turkey breast was a white, thick mass. The hash browns are also frozen and briefly put in the deep fryer. Totally overpriced due to the quality. We won't come again. It's a shame because of the good atmosphere in the beer garden and the location of two great campsites.

Wonderful restaurant at the Hotel Rappen. Reservation is recommended, we had to wait a while but we were very kindly accommodated at a nice table. Our waiter was very nice. We had pork with potatoes and an unbelievable pancake served open, with veggies, salami and cheese as a pizza, a genius creation, I loved it!

Friendly service and very good food.

Purely and directly painted by the waitress why we are in the way, we should actually have to wait another 5 minutes for a seat. Then they're out because of complaining, that's not nice people

The export beer was worth running away from. Cordon Bleu as hard as a board (however that works) Vegetable dumplings with egg were actually very good. Staff very friendly.

We were guests at the beautiful Prinzhotel for 3 nights last week. If I could give more stars I definitely would. The hotel is very centrally located and yet in a quiet corner. When we arrived we received a very friendly welcome and were told where our car could be parked. The room was a nice size, spacious and clean. The bed was really very comfortable and I was very pleasantly surprised that there was a second blanket and a second pillow for each bed in the room, as you have to ask for it in most hotels. We had a 3-course menu 3 evenings and were more than thrilled with the food. My personal highlight was the Jerusalem artichoke soup, as I had never eaten Jerusalem artichoke before and was very excited about the taste. The staff was really very friendly and attentive. Since we had caught a time when there wasn't much going on in Rothenburg (the Christmas market wasn't open yet), we were asked to fill out a list with our breakfast wishes. Due to the few visitors, the hotel did without the breakfast buffet and offered "breakfast at the table", which we found sustainable and very great. We were able to organize everything so nothing was wasted or thrown away because it sat for too long and got old. The amount of food was really plentiful. In general, the food was always fresh (homemade bread and rolls) and delicious. We wish the Prinzhotel team all the best and say "see you soon"... We'll definitely come back to Rothenburg soon and then of course we'll be back at the Prinzhotel ♡

The ambience is very nice with the construction and the half-timbering. The Jägersschnitzel was delicious, unfortunately my onion roast was not good medium rare and it was completely cooked through and therefore very dry. Condition apologized profusely and got a coffee on the house.

Unfortunately we had a very unpleasant experience at this restaurant. We wanted to sit down for a cozy drink, but were asked by the boss in a rude and annoyed tone what we even wanted. When we carefully asked whether he was stressed, the situation only became more uncomfortable: he took the cards out of our hands and suddenly claimed that all the tables were reserved. We had no choice but to leave the restaurant. It's a real shame, as the first impression of the atmosphere was very appealing - but unfortunately the service was a bitter disappointment.
