My girlfriend and I stayed at the Prinzhotel for two nights while passing through, and we absolutely loved it. The rooms are clean and the hotel is in top condition. The staff were friendly, and the breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Reasonable value for money. We'd love to come back!

We only stayed one night in this beautiful hotel, but we really enjoyed it. Beautiful half-timbered exterior and very modern interior. A very good combination. The price/performance ratio is also excellent. I can't speak for every room, but ours had a bathtub, and it was very nice. Parking is available directly near or in front of the hotel (of course, there's a fee for all of this, but that's not the hotel's fault, but rather the proximity to the old town). The location is fantastic, and you can reach the market square in about 5-10 minutes, depending on your walking pace. The service is particularly noteworthy. We had a small problem in our booked room, and we were immediately offered another room without any discussion. If we come back to the region, we will definitely stay at this hotel again.

The staff were very helpful. The location was convenient, just inside the old wall. And the bathroom had a tub with shower, which was nice to have.

Was surprised to see that there was no air-conditioning in the room, but you really didn't need it, opened a window and it was perfect!

They think they're still in the second war! The guest is there for them, not the other way around! I'm a bus driver, breakfast is only from 7:30, they don't let you have it! They don't make a pit stop, the group leaves at 8:00! The walk to the parking lot is 20 minutes, the bus check is 15 minutes, the escort who can enter is 10 minutes! So leave for the parking lot at 7:10! and don't have any problems! Then leave, without a shitty espresso! I'm not talking about the food! BECAUSE SAFETY COMES FIRST!

There was a wide variety of breakfast options, which was nice. There were a few large groups, I guess. Parking lot P4 was nearby.

It was newly renovated and was beautiful and comfortable.

All ok except: - the shower in one of our rooms was not working (it was too late to report when we saw the issue, reported it in the morning at checkout) - some consumables were empty - not even a small bottle of water, you have to buy it from the restaurant down stairs which closes around 9..10 PM. - no hotel parking, even in the front of the hotel. Got a fine for parking in the front of the hotel, but it was our fault for not checking. Otherwise, a nice and well placed hotel, pay attention to any event that may close the city center for the cars, if arriving by car. This hotel is just inside the city center, near a gate on the wall. The city is awesome and worth visiting for sure.

Walking through the city wall, the appearance of the hotel is really beautiful! If you have a chance to stay again in the future, please check it out.

2025 31th Mar. Very close to center square with cozy atmosphere. We had early morning tour and the breakfast box was full of diversity food that was well prepared by the staff.

Very quiet and comfortable hotel. The bed and pillow were very comfortable. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Very short walk to restaurants and shops. Parking situation was also easy and inexpensive. I would stay here again.

The hotel is located in a great location in the historic center, close to the parking lot approx. 2 min. The attic room feels messy and is a long noodle. I suppose this room is the worst in the hotel and therefore ideal for bus drivers. There is one small radiator in the room and it is not enough for the area of ​​the room, so the room is cold in winter. I assume there will be a fire pit in the summer because it's under the roof. The cleanliness is passable, the bathroom is smaller, the bed is soft and worn. The staff is quite nice and the receptionist will come if you wait. Breakfast good.

Some of the most spacious rooms we have ever had in Europe. This is a must stay for those who want a little extra room and to be close to all the sights in Rothenburg. The staff were very friendly and attentive.

Wonderful hotel in a perfect location. Very close to the center but absolutely quiet at night. The rooms are large and clean, the breakfast is excellent! The service is particularly worth mentioning. Without exception, all of the employees were very friendly and helpful. After checking out we had a breakdown and waited in the hotel for hours. The service was great even after check-out. Lovely support and warm welcome even though, strictly speaking, we were no longer guests. This hotel is not only a well-run establishment, but is also committed to its guests. A huge benefit, especially in emergency situations! The house is fully recommended!

We were guests at the beautiful Prinzhotel for 3 nights last week. If I could give more stars I definitely would. The hotel is very centrally located and yet in a quiet corner. When we arrived we received a very friendly welcome and were told where our car could be parked. The room was a nice size, spacious and clean. The bed was really very comfortable and I was very pleasantly surprised that there was a second blanket and a second pillow for each bed in the room, as you have to ask for it in most hotels. We had a 3-course menu 3 evenings and were more than thrilled with the food. My personal highlight was the Jerusalem artichoke soup, as I had never eaten Jerusalem artichoke before and was very excited about the taste. The staff was really very friendly and attentive. Since we had caught a time when there wasn't much going on in Rothenburg (the Christmas market wasn't open yet), we were asked to fill out a list with our breakfast wishes. Due to the few visitors, the hotel did without the breakfast buffet and offered "breakfast at the table", which we found sustainable and very great. We were able to organize everything so nothing was wasted or thrown away because it sat for too long and got old. The amount of food was really plentiful. In general, the food was always fresh (homemade bread and rolls) and delicious. We wish the Prinzhotel team all the best and say "see you soon"... We'll definitely come back to Rothenburg soon and then of course we'll be back at the Prinzhotel ♡

The room was comfortable and clean. Although the breakfast didn't have many choices, it was quite delicious, especially the cheese and ham.

We had a very spacious room with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was a bit more expensive but exceptionally good and varied. Upon request, there was also an omelet, etc.

The hotel looks good from the outside and one suspects a romantic atmosphere. Unfortunately, the opposite awaits you inside. The hotel does not have any public space to feel comfortable in, neither in the bar, which consists of two high tables, nor in the breakfast room nor in the lobby. Our room and bathroom were clean and OK. The breakfast, which is offered for a price of around 25 euros per person, is a rip-off for this price, we were expecting something better than normal food. This price also includes a glass of sparkling wine and friendly service staff. The Asian service lady was nice, the German service lady was arrogant and snippy. All of this stopped us from having dinner here. We expected a warm atmosphere in Franconia.

With the family, daughter, husband and 2 children. So 6 together. With overnight stay in a 5 star hotel. Basically Rothenburg. Yesterday and today we saw the knights The ladies were all dressed up. These experiences were re-enacted from the knights' games from 1400 to today. Just great. Every year again.

Nice old hotel, right in the middle of the city. Green carpet in the room. Bathtub-shower combo in our room. Food in the hotel was too expensive for us. But we found delicious cafes for breakfast and restaurants for dinner. No problem

Don't ask for the family room. Although they warn that it does not have a window, that is not the problem. It is a very hot room and if you turn on the air conditioning you cannot sleep because of the noise it emits. Indicating the situation to the hotel employees, they do not provide any solution with arrogant and haughty responses. I would not go back.

Personally, I find it troublesome not to have a pot to boil water.

Beautiful hotel very well located between the train station and the center

We came with 4 children and it's not easy to find something. But the Prinzhotel made it possible. The family room was an absolute child's dream. One star deducted because of the missing window, but we knew that beforehand and decided on it. But air conditioning was there. Everything was great, the rooms are huge and very clean. An absolute dream for us as a large family. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast buffet was very personal and relaxed. It was all there, no mass production and absolutely delicious. The children were thrilled, but so were we adults. The location of the hotel is an absolute dream. Playground and parking lot nearby, the city center also right on the doorstep. Unfortunately it was only an overnight stay for us, but that wasn't a problem for the Prinzhotel either. We were completely satisfied and would come back at any time.

Stayed here for a night while in transit. I found it very nice, quiet and the food was good too.

The possibility of leaving the hotel early in the morning is more or less an imposition. From 10 p.m. until 7 a.m. the gate to the inner courtyard is locked. So I couldn't leave the hotel before 7 a.m. because my bike was parked in the courtyard. The elevator does not go to the ground floor before 7:00 a.m. and therefore remains on the 1st floor. Without a hint, an Asian woman who was in the elevator was completely frightened, almost panicked, especially since you couldn't take the stairs to the ground floor on the first floor (locked until 7 a.m.). You felt like you were trapped. Panic can easily arise. I then escaped outside through the night entrance, so to speak, "from the hotel", then went back to the reception at 7 and wanted to inform the employee about the situation. She wasn't at all courteous, but initially ignored me and turned away. Only when I said, "Now they won't just disappear" was it possible to talk to her; and not exactly friendly. Yes, well-trained hotel staff are obviously rare. In my opinion, the hotel should be avoided until this is properly sorted out. They can be lucky that so many Asian visitors and generally only one-time visitors stay there; otherwise I would give the hotel no further chance of existence. Apart from that, the representation of the emergency routes does not correspond to the prescribed standard. There were no signs of escape routes or fire extinguishing equipment

The scenery is great and you are in a historical city. I appreciate the Germans’ efforts in protecting the monuments. Remember to walk the ancient city wall.

Wonderful location! Very friendly and helpful staff! Most of the staff speaks fluent English, which helps American tourists like us. The rooms are very clean and spacious. The hotel backs up to the picturesque brick wall that encloses the town. Several restaurants, parks, playgrounds and shopping within walking distance. I absolutely would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Rothenburg.

It was a great weekend trip. The hotel is in an excellent location, right under the city wall. The staff at the reception were very welcoming and helpful, with detailed and clear explanations. There is no hot water kettle in the room. Asians prefer to drink hot water. You can bring one when you stay in the future. Rothenburg is so beautiful, a fairy tale town.

We found this charming hotel at short notice by chance. Super friendly, very clean, perfect location. The restaurant in the house is really recommended. Small menu but excellent quality.

There is no one at the reception after 8pm. It's a joke! You forget your card in the room, you sleep outside in the corridor, because not a soul is in the hotel. Even the door to the reception is locked. Like a crypt! Compared to the prices, the minimum would be that at least 1 person should be in the hotel!!!

Never again! We were guests when the outside temperature was 30 degrees and it was unbearably hot in the rooms. If you can book one of the air-conditioned rooms, you're in luck. Otherwise it's a disaster in the heat! The existing toy fans, which have no effect, are unworthy of a hotel. At these prices you can at least expect to get a chance to sleep by buying effective fans, we lay awake almost the entire time. The two rooms had a view of a roof, there was nothing else to see, this was right in front of the window. In my room, both mattresses were so worn out that it was painful and you couldn't lie down. When we asked for another mattress or at least a topper, the answer was that there was no storage option, we didn't have anything like that... After a while, alternative rooms were offered, but both were even hotter - unbearable! When I asked for help to try to change a mattress from a free room or, as a last resort, to put both mattresses on top of each other, I received the dismissive answer that you couldn't leave reception and that you had a back and there wasn't another one Person in the hotel (afternoon and arrival time), but it is also hot in our own apartment... We could change the hotel (in the afternoon when everything is booked!). I've never experienced anything so incredible anywhere. Every simple guesthouse is much more customer-oriented and will help if problems ever arise, and I travel a lot. The breakfast was good, the staff attentive, nice courtyard, but that doesn't make up for the sleepless night, the restaurant wasn't open. And to your subsequent answer: no, you never offered or gave us an air-conditioned room. If that had been the case, we would have had no reason to write this review so negatively. It's shameless to lie so boldly!

An amazing family owned hotel which made us feel more than welcome from the first second on! The rooms were always tidy and clean and the service is extraordinary! The breakfast was our highlight as we are such foodies. There is really something for every taste but we can most of all recommend the local dishes. 10/10 recommend and we would love to come back sometime!

Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber, die Betten super bequem und wir konnten zwei wunderschöne Nächte in dem Hotel verbringen. Das Frühstück hat keine Wünsche offen gelassen und war perfekt zubereitet.
