Had a lovely stay here, including one of the best breakfasts I have had at a hotel. The property is perfectly located right next to the beautiful market square, yet the rooms are very quiet. The hotel dog is also adorable!

We came to this restaurant and took the last free table. We ordered some local dishes and all were very delicious. The service was very quick and friendly. The prices were not high.

Das Lokal gibt es als Spätzle Schwob schon lange nicht mehr. Nur leider ist der frühere Wirt offenbar unfähig, das entsprechend bekannt zu geben. Das Lokal ist jetzt die Goldene Gans!!! und nach dem Umbau wunderschön und einladend geworden. Es ist gemütlich und das Essen mega gut zu moderaten Preisen. Ein Besuch lohnt sich unbedingt!!!

If you’re Brazilian, even if you live in Europe—don’t go! And if you do have to go, make sure you speak fluent German. The immigrant workers are very polite and attentive, but the German waiters at the outdoor restaurant are extremely rude and make jokes right to your face about the dish you choose or your attempt to speak German to make things easier. I’m not fluent in German, but I understand perfectly what they say. I’ve traveled to many places in Germany, and without a doubt, this was the worst place I’ve ever been in my life—both in Germany and anywhere else in the world. The hotel’s indoor restaurant is self-service and no one needs to serve you, but the outdoor one is à la carte, and it was by far the worst experience I’ve had—not just in this city, but in any part of Germany I’ve ever visited. This is a place I will never return to and would never recommend to anyone.

Food was unimpressive. Overcooked chicken dishes, felt like chewing rubber pad. The bald guy at the service was strange and rude. We ordered kinder spätzle and the kids food came at the very end of the service, when asked, the guy replied "I have only two hands". It goes without saying, in a service industry these kind of replies are unexpected. Over all Dont Go there.

Walking through the city wall, the appearance of the hotel is really beautiful! If you have a chance to stay again in the future, please check it out.

Very nice and old atmosphere, especially the furniture and the inner courtyard - that had flair. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. The prices and selection are all OK. The cheese spaetzle could use some flavor, the Nurembergers were absolutely ok for a small lunch.

The 'goulash soup' for just under €9 is more like a thin sausage solyanka. No longer. It almost tastes like one too. Outrageous! Not recommended! The waitress couldn't do anything with my criticism. The solyanka is not part of the otherwise delicious Franconian cuisine. A well-made solyanka is also delicious, but not this so-called goulash soup.
