Food very tasty🙂 and recommended

Simple village restaurant, from the 70s. Small menu, but the food is all great, whether cold or warm. Our favorite is always the rum steak with fries and salad with fried onions, very cheap and delicious. Eating like mom's, I love restaurants like this. Very nice boss who still cooks herself and you can tell. 5* We keep coming back. 👌💪☺

It is a very stylish, nice, but higher priced restaurant, which is also justified. However, I find it strange that you don't get bread with a starter. For example, if you eat a goose liver, price 22€, and then have to pay extra for bread.

Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt nicht. Essen war befriedigend. Dessert Katastrophe- hat alt geschmeckt. Personal im Service in Ordnung.

We hebben hier tijdens onze vakantie 2x heerlijk gegeten (lunch en avondeten). Er is een gezellige sfeer en de bediening is goed en erg attent. Absoluut een aanrader!

A class restaurant! I've been there several times in a small group, today with the whole family and what can I say, everything was just perfect as always! When you enter the restaurant you are immediately greeted, the service is very attentive and very hardworking! You can also ask the service team anything, they know where their meat, wine and potatoes come from and even give great recommendations. That's great! The food is world class in my opinion! Simply super delicious, no matter what I've eaten there so far!

The fresh kebab on site is big and good. But that was it. Erdem is clearly overwhelmed with a delivery. They have proven this to us 3 times now, so that's enough for me to write this review. Ordered 5 dishes. As always, 2 special requests (simply without sauce) were simply ignored. The salad is simply a kebab without meat or bread 😁 - catastrophic, inedible. Pizza actually OK but cold. Instead of the promised 30-40 minute delivery time, it took 1 hour and 10 minutes - that would be OK for me, but not if you have hungry children sitting there. Dürüm and kebab usually good, see above, but also cold. That would still be 2 stars. But: you cheat on the bill. The first time it was simply €5 more expensive than the menu prices. When I said the amount was wrong, the delivery boy said they had new prices and gave me a new menu. I believed it and he left. When I looked, the prices were unchanged in the "new" menu. I played the game again to test it when I placed another order. The exact same thing happened, this time €4 more. The menu clearly states that delivery is free. Once this happens it is an accident. The second time I don't believe it anymore. I would have liked to have given the €5 as a tip. So I will definitely never order or eat there again. Dolan

Im Rahmen des Gengenbacher Adventskalenders hatten wir unser betriebliches Weihnachtsessen vorort im Frei Steinkellerhaus geplant. Ein Weihnachtsessen mit Tapas unter Kollegen , why not. (Wir waren 7 Kolleginnen und Kollegen. Es war schlimmer als schlimm. Die Internetreservierung wurde bestätigt aber vorort war es nicht so einfach. Am reservierten Tisch sassen schon Leute. Also wurde schnell eine Ersatzlösung angeboten. Es dauerte min. 20 Minuten bis jemand kam und die Bestellung für Getranke und die erste Runde Tapas zum Apéritif aufnahm. Eine halbe Stunde später kamen nicht die kompletten Speisen, da ein Teil an einem anderen Tisch serviert wurde. Daraufhin haben wir die warmen Speisen bestellt. Nichts kam gemeinsam bis zu 15 Minuten zwischen dem ersten und letzten Teller, und es wurden einige Speisen nicht serviert. Nach einiger Zeit haben wir nachgefragt. Die Antwort war: Der Kollege hatte sich vertippt oder noch besser hatte vergessen einzutippen. Daraufhin haben wir verzichtet auf die fehlenden Speisen zu warten. Komischerweise wurden die Speisen 10 Minuten später an den Tisch gebracht. Eine der Speisen war kalt, es ist zu vermuten dass der Teller einige Zeit auf seinen Abnehmer gewartet hatte. Auf jeden Fall haben wir um Kurzung der Rechnung gebeten, was vehement verweigert wurde. Auf Bitten mit dem Geschaftsführer sprechen zu können, wurde uns gesagt , dieser sei nicht da. Daraufhin haben wir gesagt, wir warten bis Er oder Sie kommt. Daraufhin wurde uns geantwortet: Viel Spass. Eigentlich eine Frechheit. Folgendes Fazit: Die Qualität der Speisen war gut aber der Service war katastrophal. Keine Struktur, kein Eingehen auf die Wünsche der Gäste. Es war Grottenschlecht. Seit 30 Jahren der bisher mit Abstand schlimmstes Weihnachtessen unter Kollegen. Schade der Rahmen hat gestimmt. Wir kommen nicht wieder und werden dort wo es nur geht von einem Besuch abraten.

Was there three times in October/November. Nice location, seating inside is sometimes quite shaky. The service is mixed and friendly, depending on who is on duty at the time. The boss depends on the day's mood, the boss sometimes lets his employees run around a lot, but is very accommodating to the guests. I really felt sorry for the boys in the kitchen (I felt embarrassed). The pizzas are very tasty, you can choose between two different bases. I recommend the thin base 😋. The spaghetti carbonara wasn't really a burner, the taste was okay but overall it was too powerful. Tiramisu is purchased, not homemade. Price ok.

Unfortunately, the visit to the restaurant was very disappointing. The entire drink order (mineral water, aperitif, wine) was served incorrectly - either in the wrong quantity or as the wrong product. The waiting times for drinks and food were extremely long, even though the restaurant was not fully occupied. On a positive note, the pumpkin soup as a starter was very tasty. The pork fillet tips, on the other hand, were unfortunately fried for far too long and were therefore very dry. The vegetables are frozen and not fresh. The sauce and the spaetzle looked and tasted as if they were not homemade (assumption). We skipped dessert. The staff was very friendly the whole evening.
