The soup was lukewarm, the schnitzel completely tasteless, not even salt and pepper could save it. The service was curt and the guests at the next table were very loud. That was my last visit here. The icing on the cake was asking if I wanted the rest packed up when there were two tasteless schnitzels on my plate! 🤪

Our class reunion celebration at the Winzerstüble in Gengenbach was a complete success. The cozy atmosphere was perfect and created a relaxed and warm mood. I'd especially like to commend the service; Mario and his staff were exceptionally attentive and efficient, even though we were a large group of over 20 people. The organization was seamless, orders were taken promptly, and all the dishes arrived almost simultaneously. The food was well-prepared and tasted fantastic. The selection of wines and other beverages left nothing to be desired. It's also worth mentioning that the restaurant is wheelchair accessible, making the visit comfortable and barrier-free for all guests. The price-performance ratio was absolutely fair. All in all, a very successful evening at a restaurant that I can wholeheartedly recommend. We'll definitely be back!

We went here for dinner and it was not good. My husband’s beef was severely overcooked. I had the vegetarian flammekueche, there was barely any cream on it. We had minimal interaction with the waitress because she didn’t speak English, which is fine, but when it came to paying the bill, she demanded a tip from us. I am American and will be the first to tip in Europe if service has warranted it, but this was not the case. She definitely took advantage of the fact that we were tourists. The reviews were mixed when we read them, but we would recommend skipping this restaurant.

When I first ordered food for pickup, we were satisfied. But what was served today was definitely anything but delicious. The schnitzel, if you can call it that, was so greasy and flavorless that it was simply unappetizing. The fries were oversalted and far too hard. Since we were disappointed once before and overlooked it, today was definitely the last time.

A fantastic welcome and delicious food! Mario, who helped us, deserves double the prize for his friendliness, dedication, attentiveness, and so on! Everyone else is doing a fantastic job too!

It was a complete success. This was our fourth visit. The food was very good and plentiful. The people there were friendly, approachable, and personable. We once again felt very comfortable and welcome. A definite recommendation.

We ordered goulash soup, a tarte flambée, and pork spaetzle. The goulash soup was clearly not homemade, but from a can. The tarte flambée was very dry, but the flavor was okay. The spaetzle weren't freshly prepared either, but the meat was good. For the price of over €20, however, we could have expected more. We had two servers: one was very friendly, but the other was wearing headphones and was probably listening to music—she certainly couldn't understand us. I can't understand how this restaurant got such good reviews.

There happened to be a free table outside in front of the wine shop. We quickly found what we were looking for on the menu, both in terms of food and wine. Great tarte flambée and matching wines. Wines from the wine shop are available for purchase until the restaurant closes.

Super delicious food. At my request, they left out the onions from the Maultaschen, and without even mentioning it, they also left out the onions from the salad. I thought that was fantastic, and thanks to the kitchen for thinking ahead. 👍👍👍👍

A beautiful and modern restaurant in the heart of Gengenbach. The service is friendly and attentive, and the food, while not exceptional, is still good to very good. If the weather is good, you should reserve a table in the back courtyard as soon as possible; the ambiance is worth it, and late in the evening, you might spot a stork (in its nest on the roof).

We were thoroughly satisfied at the Winzerstüble! The food was very good, and there was a wide selection (even) for vegetarians. The drinks selection was also very good. Friendly staff, a great atmosphere, and good acoustics. Unfortunately, there was no option to order a small main course for adults (such as for seniors), so the portion wasn't finished.

The Milanese is delicious, the place is very cozy and Mario, who is a waiter, is very friendly.

An all-around successful visit with only minor drawbacks. The food was truly excellent – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was extremely friendly, attentive, and had a charming and humorous manner, albeit a bit clumsy at times – but that's precisely what made them likeable. One downside is the limited options for vegetarians and vegans – as is unfortunately common throughout Gengenbach. Those who value animal-free cuisine will find little to no avail here. A real highlight, however, is the stylish wine rotunda, ideal for tasting and discovering regional wines. Highly recommended for wine lovers!

A girls' trip to Gengenbach brought us this fantastic restaurant with a wonderfully cozy outdoor seating area in the courtyard. A very good selection of dishes with excellent quality. Despite our separate orders, all seven of us received our meals at the same time. The service was impeccable: friendly, courteous, and absolutely professional. We felt completely at home and would come back anytime.

Arrived on the terrace at 14.20 for a late lunch and ordered half a liter of wine and water, only to hear that the kitchen closes at 14.30... even a salad was not possible. Very poor service, had said that when ordering the wine.

Atmospherically decorated. Friendly, smooth service. Delicious dishes. Any extras such as water are expensive. Everything else is worth it. In short, highly recommended. Sufficient options to indicate any dietary requirements. For the menu, do not look at photos from the reviews, but at the current menu on their own website... (also makes a big difference in price).

Very friendly servers. There's a small selection of vegan dishes, but they're clearly labeled. The Sunshine Bowl, however, was very tasty and packed with protein. We personally found the price of the water to be quite high.

If you want to eat there as a group after a wine tasting, you're ushered into a separate room. You can tell you're not welcome. The waitress seemed very annoyed, and many dishes were missing. The side salad had hardly any dressing, and what was there simply tasted of nothing. If you get a side salad with your main course, it's simply not served, and the wait staff yells at you, asking if you haven't already gotten it.

We had a small wine tasting (spontaneous) for two people in the Winzerstüble. The wine tasting is arranged in a roulette and is a lot of fun. The staff is friendly and quick. We sat on the terrace, which is directly adjacent to the casket. It's a cozy place! Since we didn't eat, I can't give a review. The dishes that were served at the next tables looked delicious! We'd love to come back 😊 Next time with food!

Very nice atmosphere, attentive staff. The choice of food is also varied, in my opinion there is something for everyone. We had wild garlic soup as a starter, the game pot and the burger as main courses, here the low carb version. The soup could do with a little more salt and pepper for my taste, the game sauce was divine, the burger was a little too medium, although ordered differently. All in all 4 stars, recommended!

We have been coming to the Winzerstüble for years. The service is still very attentive and friendly. And the ambience is quite nice. But the map is now too small. The quality of the food has also deteriorated significantly. The schnitzel was definitely mechanically breaded, the cream sauce was lumpy and so thick that it didn't run out of the bowl, to name just two examples. It didn't taste as good as we were used to. We wouldn't go to the Winzerstüble again for dinner at the moment. Very unfortunate.

Very friendly and nice staff staff. For 25€.....industrial schnitzel and the side salad was probably prepared in the kitchen for hours....the tomatoes were soggy overall the salad wasn't fresh!!!

Unfortunately the quality has declined significantly. Dead sizzled veal schnitzel that can hardly be cut. Venison goulash has poor meat quality and is tough and dry, pork loin is the same. Salt the fries once. Sparkling tap water? The whole thing at prices, I just expect something different. It would be nice if things improved again.

We were here with a group via the Martini market. The service and ambience are good. What was surprising was the minimal menu, so not a lot of choice. The food leaves something to be desired. It used to be better. We won't be coming back for dinner!

Went there based on the reviews and were disappointed. Gravy was watery & schnitzel wasn't freshly made. Tasted like an industrial schnitzel with no taste.

We made a reservation at short notice with a group of 9 and everyone was very happy with our food as it was of good quality. Very nice staff. The wine rondel with 6 different varieties is great and good to try. If I'm in Gengenbach again, I will definitely stop there again.

Leider muss ich die eher negativen Rezensionen der letzten Zeit bestätigen. Ich hatte mich auf einen leckeren Flammkuchen in schönem Ambiente gefreut. Was mir da aber serviert wurde, hat mir die gute Stimmung gehörig versaut. War der erste Eindruck noch positiv, weil gut belegt, war der aber schnell verschwunden, nachdem ich den ersten Bissen genommen hatte. Statt einem schönen krossen Bisserlebnis hatte ich das Gefühl, in Pappe zu beißen. Mein Verdacht: Da wird einem doch tatsächlich ein Tk-Fertigprodukt serviert! Leider war auch der Service nicht besser. Mein Hinweis darauf wurde lediglich weggelächelt. Kein Bedauern, nichts! Wenigstens konnte ich noch Gästen am Nachbartisch davon abraten, den Flammkuchen zu bestellen … Mein Fazit: einmal und nie wieder!

Even under stress and staff shortages, very friendly, courteous and polite. The food/drinks were of the best quality for you. The prices beat Freiburg and Strasbourg by far. Please keep it up!

Simply fatal. We sat on the terrace facing the main street, not the one inside, and more than 30 minutes passed before anyone showed up. The waitress arrived (who didn't know any English and the menus were in German) and took our drink order. It took another 20 minutes for him to appear to take our order and, unable to decipher the menu, we ordered what looked like a couple of pizzas. More than thirty minutes later, they appear with the two pizzas, cold by the way, having to return them because they were totally inedible. At the end of the meal and already tired of waiting for someone to come out to ask for the bill, we had to enter the restaurant where curiously there was no one at the cash register and where there were more people who had also decided to go in to get their bill since The terrace was completely abandoned. In short, a disaster where we cannot repeat them either because of the quality of the dishes we ordered or because of the attention received.

The food was exquisite, the place is beautiful and the service was ideal! We ordered a Spätzlepfanne Lendchen which was very good, a Grillteller and a wonderful Räucherlachs, the flavor of the salmon together with the cream was simply exquisite. We would return without hesitation.

Wir sind schon viele Jahre Gäste in Gengenbach. Das Winzerstüble war immer unser Favorit. Leider haben wir mittlerweile eine andere Meinung. Okay, das Essen ist noch in Ordnung. Da gibt's nur leider eine junge Kellnerin( blond), die sich aufspielt wie die Königin. Das Benehmen ist unverschämt, gegenüber Gästen. Aber vor allem gegenüber ihren älteren Kolleginnen. Leider geht so etwas überhaupt nicht. Wir mussten leider drinnen sitzen und die ganzen Frechheiten miterleben. Leider nie wieder Winzerstüble, es war einmal so schön. Ich kann nur den freundlichen Kellnerinen empfehlen zu Schatull zu wechseln, hier wird man jedenfalls wie ein Mensch behandelt.

We arrived with 2 adults and 2 children at around 8.45 p.m., the restaurant was busy and we were immediately asked in a very friendly manner if we wanted to eat something else. The menu came immediately after we sat down. After ordering, it felt like 10-15 minutes until the food was with us. It was very nicely seasoned. The price-performance ratio was great. Wir wollten am 22.07.2024 gegen Mittag über die HomePage dieses Lokals (winzerstueble.de) online eine Tisch für Abends, 2 Personen, draußen im Garten reservieren. Da die Online-Reservierung darauf hinwies (fett unterstrichen), dass Tische im Garten nicht reserviert werden, sonder nur Tische drinnen im Lokal, haben wir die Online-Reservierung abgebrochen, da wir ja im Garten essen wollten. Als wir dann am Abend (18 Uhr) am Lokal eintrafen, sahen wir, dass einige Tische im Garten reserviert waren. Auf Nachfrage war man ganz erstaunt und überrascht und zweifelte den Online-Reservierungsvorfall sogar an. Wir bekamen dann noch einen letzten Tisch an der verkehrsträchtigen Strassenseite. Als zweiten Vorfall, mussten wir dann nich feststellen, dass der Wein in Gläsern ohne Eichstrich eingefüllt wird, sodass man die bestellte Menge nicht überprüfen kann. Für den Anspruch eines solchen Lokals, sind die Vorfälle inakzeptabel und höchst kritikabel.

Very nice service, nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, the food was overpriced for the quality, a veal schnitzel with spaetzle and cream sauce costs €35 if you add a side salad. This is simply too expensive for the quality offered. In some Michelin restaurants you pay less and get a perfectly pounded schnitzel, which was not the case here.

We have been local regulars at the Winzerstüble for many years. We were still satisfied with our first visit after the change of operator at the end of April. The service was and is very pleasant and professional. Unfortunately, the schnitzel with cheese spaetzle that I ate today for €20 was simply a disaster. Deep-fried frozen goods that are cheap to buy, can that be your culinary aspiration? This really was worse than cafeteria food! Feedback has already been passed on locally in the hope that adjustments will be made. I also find it difficult to sell treated tap water at the price of mineral water. Nothing against tap water, but please keep it cheap.

Das Kalbfleisch war nicht mehr genießbar, ( für einen Preis 26, 00 Euro ) Das Cordonbleu war innen noch roh Essen wurde daraufhin nochmal neu gemacht.... Sosse wurde um bestellt, dafür wurde 1,00 Euro berechnet.. Früher war das ein super Restaurant. Zumindest hätte man ein Espresso als Entschuldigung anbieten können. Schade,

Charging €4.80 for a 0.2l wine spritzer is awesome as a flagship of the Gengenbach shared apartment! Food...well, just expensive. After the change of ownership, the *old* service remained and is still very friendly. No comparison to before. A pity.
