We ate here for the second time. Couldn't sit outside this time, the terrace was full of guests. They still had a table for us inside. We ordered the main courses and they arrived very quickly. It was very tasty and fresh.

Went for dinner here and it was absolutely delightful. I got the dish which had a meatball, a potato with meat, and schnitzel with potato/cucumber salad on the side. It did NOT disappoint. It was absolutely delicious. The wine was excellent as well and the service was fabulous. Would 100% recommend for a nice dinner out in Gengenbach.

Delicious food, good and pleasant staff. Steak was sublime, I was allowed to fry it myself on a hot stone. Good experience. This will take longer to prepare your main dish. We wanted a nice liqueur to end. We think about what options are available and what we might like better. I like that service.

Service, atmosphere really great. Also very good in taste. But I expect that if I order a main course for almost 30 EUR, there will be enough on the plate to be almost full. I could have eaten that portion twice. I often and very happily spend money on good food and I would have paid another 25% more, BUT the portion has to be appropriate for the price.

Absolutely fantastic experience - the food was excellent - we had a goat cheese salad to start followed by beef cheeks and potatoes gratin - I had the Weiner Snitzel with local Asparagus, delicious. Great service as well 10/10 highly recommended

One of the best restaurants in the region. Top service and always fresh, delicious dishes. For me, the steak on the hot stone is an absolute highlight. We've also had a party in the basement and had very tasty tapas. Ebbs of everything.

The Cocotte in Gengenbach is really highly recommended! The service is friendly, competent and quick. A highlight was the Hot Stone with very good meat, side dishes and sauces! The food was really very good! We are already looking forward to the next visit. Five stars are more than deserved here!

A 10, the place is very nice, the service very good and the food spectacular. They had very nice decoration both inside and outside. I totally recommend it, you have to book in advance as it is usually full. To highlight the flammenkuchen, it was super good.

Impressively beautiful interior design, staff dressed in beautiful and at the same time simple traditional costume (Dirndl), who were very attentive and courteous. Our meal, herb pancakes with asparagus and hollandaise sauce, was incredibly delicious. The starter, beetroot carpaccio with rocket and a side salad was also great. The only “disturbing factor” was the €3 that was charged for bread with salad and carpaccio.

The restaurant is very tastefully decorated and the room creates a great effect. The service is attentive, the kitchen creates really good quality in a short time, even with a full house. Deduction for the high prices, which probably only work because of the many vacationers. And you have to endure the smoke that comes from the hot plates. The ventilation is through the open front door.

Three times five stars and no room for improvement! If everything is correct, you don't have to search anymore. Vitello Tonnato, tender as butter with a great, hearty tuna sauce. Beef cheeks braised to perfection, with enough hearty red wine sauce and homemade fine butter spaetzle, simply delicious. Nice waiter and an alcohol-free Hefeweizen, the likes of which you can hardly find outside of the Free State. Are there any more questions?

Beautiful restaurant in the middle of the beautiful old town of Gengenbach. Service is extremely friendly, the quality of the food is really top.

As the first time we were there was so good, we came a second time in 6 nights we spent in Gengenbach 😅 The service is perfect and the food as well. The second time I ate a Risotto an was not so good as the rest, but the meat my husband ate was very good. The desserts are also very good. They are small, so we always had 2 per person. Also because I wanted to try them all 😅 The decoration is modern but mixed with local touches. I really liked this place!

Enge Bestuhlung, schlechte Bedienung, Miniportionen. Kosten bei 4 Personen und einer Flasche Primitivo für 38 und Nachtisch 285 Euro. Habe die positiven Rezensionen erst nachträglich gelesen. Scheinen bezahlt zu sein. Meine Wahrnehmung deckt sich mit den anderen Bewertungen. Service schlecht, Essen Mittelmass, Preise völlig überteuert.

Das Restaurant ist nicht groß, man sollte entsprechend reservieren. Wir wurden an eine Art Bistrotisch gesetzt, was mir persönlich nicht so gut gefiel. Es gibt selbstverständlich auch normale Tisch, jedoch in begrenzter Anzahl. Das Essen war von sehr guter Qualität und preislich angemessen. Wir hatten beide ein Steak welches man quasi selbst auf einem heißen Stein zubereitet. Service aufmerksam und freundlich.

Mega guter/netter Service, sehr leckeres Essen und einfach eine angenehme Ambiente. Lohnt sich sehr dort essen zu gehen.

Wir waren an einem Samstag spontan kurz vor 12 im Cocotte und haben einen der wenigen nicht reservierten Tische ergattert. Das Ambiente udn die Einrichtung sind sehr hochwertig, da hat sich jemand Gedanken gemacht. Von der Eingangstür her zieht es jedoch ziemlich heftig, auch wenn sie geschlossen ist, das sollte überdacht werden. Die Wartezeiten zur Aufnahme der Bestellung, dem Ankommen der Getränke, und schließlich der bestellten Speisen waren sehr grenzwertig. Personal ist schwierig zu bekommen, aber zwei Leute im Service für einen vollen Samstag ist definitiv zu wenig. Das Essen selbst war sehr gut. Steak super mit heißem Stein zum selber fertigbraten, sehr solide Fleischqualität. Feldsalat super, leicht abgewandelt mit Rucola und Pinienkernen, Dressing mit schöner Säure. Karte mit ihrem Mix aus klassich badisch-schwäbischen Gerichten aber auch Bowls und Steaks genau richtig, für jede*n was dabei, aber nicht zu groß. Auf der Toilette irritiert das Waschbecken, das Frauen- und Männertoiletten mit einem niedrigen Fenster miteinander verbindet. Ich möchte in der Damentoilette ehrlich gesagt kein Männergefluche hören (da kam wohl jemand mit dem Sensor für das Waschbecken nicht klar), und ich will auf der Damentoilette auch keine Männer sehen - vor dem Waschbecken sieht man das Gegenüber, so etwa auf Gürtelhöhe...bisschen unglücklich. Dann bitte lieber gender neutral toilets, dann ist klar, wen man dort alles antreffen wird. Fazit: tolles Essen, kleine Abzüge für Ambiente und Service. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Cocotte is I think part of the Reichsstadt hotel next door. It seems to be a separate establishment benefitting from much of the ethos from the hotel. It is a very nice place to eat and many of the reviews testify to that. We ate lunch and can only say it was very good. The wine chosen was perfect. Our hosts were impeccable. We were in early at around 11.45 so the restaurant was really open but had no problem accommodating us. It allowed us to photo the interior without disturbing others.

Zu erst wunderten wir uns warum wir reservieren mussten. Nach und nach fühlte sich der Lokal. Es gab keine freie Plätze. Das Essen (Kalbsstek vom heisen Stein) war einmalig gut - sowohl die Art der Zubereitung wie auch die Qualität des Fleisches. Der Service und Beratung war kompetent. Die Höffligkeit ist in diesem Lokal "Großgeschrieben".

Ein riesiges Holzhaus, was noch sehr neu erscheint. Man hat viel Platz für die Gäste. Die Toiletten liegen im 1. Stockwerk, sind aber durch einen Fahrstuhl auch für Gehbehinderte gut erreichbar. Der Kuckucksuhren-Laden ist echt der Hingucker!

Sehr toll eingerichtet. Der Weinkeller ist eher gemütlich, oben ist es eher lebendig. Servicepersonal ist sehr bemüht und die Qualität des Essens ist gut. Bei uns ist leider etwas schief gelaufen. Bei 4 Personen ist ein Essen gar nicht aufgenommen worden und bei einem Zweiten fehlte der Lachs. Die Reklamation wurde sehr professionell abgewickelt, gratis Dessert für alle vier Personen und beim rausgehen noch einen Schnaps als Entschuldigung. Das war mehr als fair! Alles in allem, kann man sich hier wohlfühlen!

Sehr schön und speziell eingerichtetes Lokal mit sehr leckerem Essen, auch vegan. Wir waren zu 8 hier und haben uns durch die Schwarzwald-Tapas probiert. Auch meine Mutter (80+) war begeistert! Der Service war perfekt. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Wir saßen draußen, deswegen kann ich keine Bewertung über das Lokal machen. Das Personal ist sehr gut und freundlich. Jetzt zum negativen, bei vielen Speisen stimmt das Preis/Leistung Verhältnis überhaupt nicht.zb.für eine Roulade mit Spätzle, ohne Salat oder Gemüse, 25€ zu verlangen, völlig übertrieben. 🤷‍♂️

Bin Samstag Abend einfach mal rein, um noch nen Riesling zu trinken. Herausgekommen ist dabei eine kleine Weinprobe, initiiert von einem sehr aufmerksamen Kellner. Hammer! Morgen geh ich hier essen und werde weiter berichten. So, wie versprochen die Fortsetzung: Zunächst einmal die Speisekarte. Über die Notwendigkeit, im Badischen französische und italienische Gerichte anzubieten, kann man vielleicht geteilter Meinung sein, aber die heimische Kost steht ja auch drauf, also alles gut. Ich habe mir die geschmälzten Maultaschen mit Kartoffel /Gurkensalat bestellt. Sie kennen das - Sie bestellen sich irgendwo Maultaschen und bekommen die typischen Tk-Produkte mit einem entfernt an Fleisch erinnernden Brei. N I C H T H I E R! Die Maultaschen waren mit Rinderhackfleisch gefüllt und hatten Biss und Geschmack. Der Kartoffel/Gurkensalat mit einer Essig/Öl Marinade war sehr erfrischend und lecker. Setzen, 5! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

We had one of our best dining experiences here in Germany. The service was great, it had a nice atmosphere and the food was in one word amazing. We had a nice steak that was slightly seared on both sides but raw from that point on and you could then bake slices of it yourself on the hot stone, I would highly recommend the butter with herbs as the "sauce". Then for dessert we finished with a really delicious chocolate mousse. We'll definitely be coming back if we're in this region again!

Restaurante en pleno centro que denominaría boutique/delicatessen en el que recomiendo encarecidamente pedir la carne de la zona o cualquier carne que se haga con piedra. Muy buena relación calidad- precio; salimos encantados. La atención fue muy buena en todo momento. Se equivocaron en la guarnición, se dieron cuenta de ello y nos trajeron lo pedido desde el inicio; pidiéndonos disculpas y subsanando el error de manera muy rápida, educada y atenta. Muy buena la carne y también el ceviche de salmón. Decorado con mucho gusto. Venden vinos y gran parte del mobiliario que está expuesto para la venta (relojes de cuco originales, tablas para cortar queso, etc) Ambiente agradable, tranquilo y relajado tanto en el interior como en el exterior. ¡Importante! Si vas a cenar, ir antes de las 21h ya que a partir de las 20:15h no suelen aceptar nuevas cenas. Baños cuidados y limpios en planta baja y método de pago tanto por tarjeta como efectivo. Un detalle que nos gustó es que revisan la cuenta contigo en una tablet y no imprimen el ticket a no ser que lo solicites.
