We really enjoyed the evening on April 5, 25 with 4 people in a cozy atmosphere with very tasty food, well prepared and wonderful in taste. Very friendly and attentive service with the boss who personally takes care of your well-being. Here you felt very welcome and valued as a guest. Thanks. Great location to come back. The promotions, creative menus and menu leave you wanting more.

A wonderful restaurant/bar that you wouldn't expect in Mülheim. We only ended up here yesterday (Sunday evening) by chance because we actually wanted to go somewhere else but everything there was fully booked. So where to go on a Sunday evening? Quickly googled and since Spices was nearby and the concept sounded exciting (fusion cuisine) we dared to go into the unfortunately very empty dining room :-) and we weren't disappointed! We received a very friendly welcome, the furnishings were a mix of cozy and elegant, with nice lounge music, extremely suitable for the ambience. (finally not this normal canned pop music!) The greeting from the kitchen (warm carrot/pumpkin dip) knocked our socks off (sooooooo delicious!!) and the meal that followed was extremely delicious. The meat was buttery tender, the risotto had just the right consistency, the salmon en pointe with a miso/seaweed sauce melted in the mouth and the salad was a visual and taste delight! You don't expect something like this in Mülheim, it's really of a very high standard and prepared with great attention to detail! And you can also taste the quality of the always fresh ingredients! The small but nice card should be recomposed every 6 weeks, which is also a good sign. And the restaurant has been around for 2 years! We're glad we finally discovered it! We wish the two owners continued success with the concept and will definitely come back! Thank you very much for this great experience!

authentic Asian cuisine - everything freshly prepared

I really liked it. It was filling, healthy and varied.

Interesting menu, we wanted to try at least half of the dishes and it was hard to choose. The mains in current menu were somewhat limited (one chicken and one salmon), so we went for mixture of starters and pasta. All was beautifully presented and full of flavours. The drinks menu is a bit limited for those not consuming alcohol, but they can make non-alco Hugo. Would be great to have some dealcoholized wine too.

We've been there several times, so I can say with certainty that the quality and availability of the dishes varies greatly. Unfortunately, the quality of the "live cooking" is particularly variable... I've had absolutely inedible food several times, burnt and oversalted, and my boyfriend had the wrong food several times (ingredients he didn't choose, wrong sauce, etc.). Sometimes, however, the shrimp were great and juicy... Overall, unfortunately, it's difficult! On top of that, sometimes certain items are simply not replenished. Unfortunately, we didn't like the sushi, and it's rarely replenished. But they do have great salmon, delicious yuzu potatoes, and a very extensive salad bar. Overall, the buffet is still worth the money, especially the dessert selection is better than in most buffet restaurants (fresh fruit with warm chocolate). The ambiance is super nice, it's large and bright, the restrooms were always clean, and the service was consistently friendly.

It was very tasty there, great service, I would love to eat there again

We were there for the first time and the food was excellent, very unusual and at the same time harmonious and finely balanced. The service was very courteous and friendly, personal without being intrusive. Very nice atmosphere, open wines at very fair prices. The only drawback: when it's warm outside, it gets a bit stuffy inside.

The restaurant is cozy and quite nicely decorated. You actually enjoy sitting here for a longer period of time. What is very unpleasant, however, is the extremely strong smell of the aroma lamp(s) in the entrance area, which really sticks in your nose. Really a problem for people with sensitive noses (and a tendency to headaches). Well-intentioned tip: maybe just use a little less fragrance oil. The service was nice, but unfortunately a bit sloppy. A clear division of tasks would certainly be helpful here. This way it is a) faster and b) things are not asked twice or completely forgotten (e.g. drink requests). The starter platter for two was ok, but unfortunately nothing more. The summer rolls, for example, were sticky or chewy and rubbery, as if they were from the day before. In terms of size, they were too big for the mouth but cutting didn't really work given the consistency. The spring rolls were very dark and tasted below average. I would rate the chili sauce as being convenient and unfortunately the peanut sauce, which was probably homemade, wasn't good at all. Very fatty and chunky, the taste is not delicious, nutty-sweet and umami, but just strange. The rest was fine. Regarding the main course, I have to say that the long-awaited beef pho unfortunately had a very weak broth with relatively little taste. More spices and a longer cooking time would certainly have been good here. Unfortunately, the insert was also very sparse. Pasta sufficient, meat very little, “greens” and garnishes as good as nothing. I was really disappointed because I love pho and you really can't go wrong with it... Unfortunately, the dessert wasn't convincing either. The mochi tasted quite good but was (still) rock hard. The best thing was actually the Vietnamese coffee, there was absolutely nothing wrong with it. But I honestly wouldn't come back again.

We always liked the restaurant for its excellent steaks, good wine and friendly service. Every time we had visitors from other cities or abroad, we invited our guests to this restaurant. However, this time we ordered something different and were totally disappointed. Instead of wine this time there was an Aperol Spritz and a gin and tonic. The gin was okay, but with the Aperol Spritz we only got half a wine glass (more than half of it was ice) - and the whole thing for the price of 7.80 euros. Secondly, the cocktail hardly contained any Aperol, just tonic and ice. After we pointed this out to the waiter, he brought the glass to the counter, where the Aperol was generously refilled. Nevertheless, this little saving by the owner for his customers (presumably he was behind the bar himself) left an uneasy feeling. It almost seemed like a scam and left a negative impression of the restaurant. For the main course we ordered two BBQ cheeseburgers. The meat was very good and fried to medium rare, but there was a noticeable lack of salt and pepper. Overall, the burgers were very dry as there was a lack of sauce and tasteless as the meat patties were barely seasoned. The fries were, as always, very good. The service was also friendly. All in all, we were disappointed with this visit and think we will avoid the restaurant in the future.

the experience is extraordinary try it to believe it... exceptional and astonishing view... the place not bad to say... the service was not up to par... the staff was too rude... and the prices very high... but the splendid location makes up for it all, highly recommended
