the experience is extraordinary try it to believe it... exceptional and astonishing view... the place not bad to say... the service was not up to par... the staff was too rude... and the prices very high... but the splendid location makes up for it all, highly recommended

It takes a minute to go up, as there are two elevators only and there's also people visiting the tower too so please make sure to be early! We got seated right away and our table was exactly what I hoped for: having dinner with a nice view on the city. For drinks we had : An apple a day (10/10) Shojos Choice (10/10) Still water (10/10) Our drinks were actually VERY nice, I have no words. For starters we had the : Wagyu Beef Gyoza (4/10) Duck Salat (20/10) l've had wagyu before, and that I absolutely loved it, but this didn't do it. The wagyu was....tasteless?? But boy did that duck salad surprise me???? It was SO GOOD? At first I was hesitant cos of the amount of nuts, but it was tasty !! Everything made perfect sense, nicely balanced too. For mains we had the : Black Angus Ribeye (8.5/10) Lamb Chops (6/10) 2 x Kartoffel Truffel Puree (8/10) The lamb chops weren't the best l've had, I'll be honest they were kinda bland, but the pepper sauce (which wasn't served with the dish but I asked) saved it. The black Angus was very tender and went nice with the truffle puree we had. At first we thought the truffle was too much but, eventually it wasn't as pronounced as we thought. For desserts we had: Yuzu Crème brûlée (7.5/10) Schokoladenfondant & Vanilleeis (8/10) My friend liked her crème brülée, but I hated it Not a fan at ALL. The fondant was nice, for someone who doesn't really like chocolate, I enjoyed it! I would totally recommend Qomo, especially for a nice date night (for the lovers out here) or just for a fancy girl date ! I'll be back. NOT HALAL

A very nice evening. Overall, the food is very tasty, especially the side dishes were great. The atmosphere is cool and we found the music to be much too loud to have a conversation. The service was good. In the meantime the waitress was no longer available because it was very busy, so we then turned to a colleague. Overall, it's worth it even though it's very expensive, so it (also) has to be almost perfect.

The QOMO in the Rhine Tower offers a truly spectacular view over Düsseldorf - a real highlight! The staff was very friendly and attentive, which made the visit pleasant. The taste of the food was okay, but not quite at the level that you might expect given the prices. A note for anyone with a sensitive sense of balance: Since the restaurant rotates slowly, I felt a little nauseous after a while. Anyone who gets seasick easily or is sensitive to movement should take this into account. All in all, a special experience – especially because of the view – but not necessarily suitable for everyone.

it is definitely worth a visit. we had the Tokyo menu. a very intense taste experience. Everything is very, very fresh and beautifully presented to the eye. No matter what it was, it all tasted incredibly good. The sauces have to be highlighted. But the best thing was the limoncello that we made ourselves; the bartender even shared her recipe. The service was very attentive without being intrusive. The view is of course priceless. It has its price, but for me it is justified.

Unfortunately, the service is not particularly attentive. What particularly annoyed me was that I couldn't swap the dessert on the menu. At a price of 79 euros, this little wish should be fulfilled. The waitress's rude answer doesn't work. You don't feel welcome there. It's a shame ☹️

Prices are on the higher end but wow was it worth it for the quality of food and drink.

We celebrated my husband's birthday at Qomo at the TV Tower and overall we were really happy. The service was very friendly and attentive, which we immediately noticed positively. The toilets are particularly praiseworthy - extremely clean and well-maintained, which is not a given these days. Overall the food was okay. Among other things, we ordered salmon, which was unfortunately a bit dry, but not dramatically so. The avocado maki were really tasty and we also enjoyed the side dishes with broccoli and mushrooms. In terms of price, the prices here are definitely on the higher side - you can hardly get away with anything less than 100 to 150 euros. However, you come here less for the food and more for the atmosphere: the view is fantastic and the rotating platform really makes the experience special. Conclusion: Absolutely recommended for a nice experience with a great view, even if the prices are a bit high and the food has room for improvement.

Beautiful location, and the non-vegan food is certainly good. However, two clear downsides: 1. The waiter made two mistakes, causing unnecessary waiting for both the beer and the vegan sushi. 2. The vegan menu is disappointing. It’s the usual “afterthought” approach: edamame, simple salads, and a few types of basic maki rolls, all made by combining the same handful of vegetables in slightly different ways. There’s no real main course, no warm dish, nothing original or substantial—just the bare minimum using what’s already in the kitchen. As a vegan, you immediately notice the lack of effort and creativity compared to the rest of the menu. People are left out due to the lack of diverse options; what’s expected is genuine effort in creativity and variety of ingredients. And this isn’t about asking for the impossible—Japanese cuisine actually offers plenty of vegan options beyond the basics. For example: • Grilled or marinated tofu dishes (agedashi tofu, tofu teriyaki) • Vegetable tempura • Vegan ramen or udon bowls • Inari sushi (rice-stuffed tofu pockets) • Warm donburi with seasonal vegetables • Japanese pickles and seaweed salads • Vegan tonkatsu made from soy alternatives, tofu, or chickpea flour A bit more creativity and a willingness to use the variety already present in Japanese cuisine would make a huge difference for vegan guests. Hope it’ll helps for the future, best regards. EDIT 4/28th My reply: I’d like to add that this is not a matter of whether your concept is “primarily” vegan or not. When you run a restaurant—especially in such a unique location where there are no other alternatives available—you have a responsibility to be inclusive. Otherwise, you’re effectively excluding an entire group of customers, which is simply not acceptable. Inclusivity today means offering real options, not just two kinds of maki and a couple of basic salads assembled from whatever is already in the kitchen. In Germany, well-thought-out and creative vegan options are now the standard, not the exception. There’s a huge difference between not having a fully vegan menu and providing only the bare minimum—just a couple of rolls and a few edamame. No one is asking you to change your whole concept, but simply to ensure at least one decent alternative for everyone, especially given your special location. I hope this will be taken not as gratuitous criticism, but as a real invitation to make your restaurant more welcoming and accessible to a wider audience. Best.

Very nice restaurant. The slow turning effect briefly reminds you of a touch of dimness but the view makes up for it. The service was great and the food came quickly. Tasty and well prepared. Only the non-alcoholic cocktail (lemon something) wasn't quite my cup of tea. But overall everything is good.

It was an incredibly great, delicious and impressive experience!!! Rarely have we eaten and drunk so well! So really highly recommended! Two small drawbacks: the elevator thing needs to be better organized, you don't have to wait so long down there because you have reserved a table and the portions could be a little bigger!

We had a wonderful evening at Qomo. We chose the Osaka menu, which was really excellent - a successful combination of diverse flavors, perfectly balanced. Highly recommended! In addition to the culinary enjoyment, the view is also a real highlight: the rotating restaurant offers a breathtaking panoramic view of Düsseldorf, which you can fully enjoy while eating. Overall, a thoroughly successful experience that we would be happy to repeat!

I thought the view and the food were very nice, but the fact that you were forced to order more was just disrespectful and rude. We had already ordered over €100 and had to order more because otherwise we were threatened that we would be thrown out. That doesn't work at all.

The food was really great - from starters to dessert, everything was amazing. The location is of course breathtaking and I haven't seen anything comparable in Düsseldorf. Maybe we were just unlucky that day, but in my opinion this negative situation should have been handled differently for the price it pays. We had a reservation at 8:30 p.m. and were there on time. Right at the beginning we placed our entire order including drinks, starter and main course. The starter also came normally, but our main course only arrived after a whopping 90 minutes! And that only after asking politely twice and even the next table said to an employee “the girls still don’t have any food”. It's bad enough that it even happens at a restaurant of this class (and these prices), but it's only human and unfortunately it can happen. Because everything was so late, we had to quickly choose a dessert during the meal because otherwise the kitchen would have closed. At least I would have expected that after such an event, dessert would be on the house! Or the drinks or any other little thing. No, everything was charged at full price and in my opinion that is not possible at all. I worked in gastronomy myself for many years and not in such a high-class restaurant - that's the 1x1 of gastronomy. And please don't get me wrong - the service staff themselves were always friendly and tried hard, but for the price this waiting time simply shouldn't happen and if it does go wrong, they should act in a much more customer-oriented manner. Another negative point is the parking situation. I also find it super bold that if you spend 200-300 euros in a restaurant, you still have to pay for parking (around 10 euros because we had to sit in the restaurant for so long). So, even though the location and the food are great, everything that happens around it totally takes away from the experience. Very unfortunate

At first glance you might think that the Qomo would be a kind of "tourist trap" because the location in the Rhine Tower naturally attracts many day visitors. However, one must vehemently disagree with this. The Qomo is definitely one of the top 10 sushi restaurants in Düsseldorf and always impresses with the great view and the sometimes very imaginative sushi creations. These are often “extraordinary” and have little in common with the traditional style. Only the service could be better in one or two places. During our visits to Qomo, it was not uncommon for us to wait a long time for the order to be taken or for our drinks.

We had a wonderful evening - the food was excellent, and our waiter Patrick was fabilous. What a stellar experience! Obviously, dining up there around sun-set is spectacular!

Very delicious Food. We had the Kyoto Menü for two. This was a perfect mix of mixed starters, main dish and dessert. Great ingredients and delicious taste! Al this combined with the great 360 degrees view of the Düsseldorf TV tower with its slowly rotating platform, so that you can see the full 360 degrees view within one hour from your table. 👍🏻

A wonderful evening! The food was excellent, we enjoyed the great view and the pleasant atmosphere. Small point deduction because two hour time window is quite short if you choose the menu.

We were given a voucher for this restaurant and wanted to take the opportunity to try it out. The ambience is really great, the service is great. There is a huge selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. We have absolutely nothing to complain about on this point. Unfortunately, because I'm pregnant, I didn't have the sushi. Unfortunately my husband doesn't eat sushi. That's why we decided on two meat dishes. My husband ordered the Black Angus Ribeye Steak, which we were unfortunately very disappointed with. It wasn't even 1cm thick and my husband couldn't get enough of it. Unfortunately, I expected more for the high price (€49). We've both eaten better steaks. I had the lamb chops, they tasted good, no questions asked, but unfortunately 3 pieces for a price of €39 didn't fill you up either. Here too I have to say that I have eaten better lamb. I think the sushi would have been more worth it. At least other guests looked like they were enjoying it. In summary, I would say that you pay more for the location and the view than for the food. Since we had a voucher it was worth the experience for us, but we won't be coming back. It's a shame that our expectations weren't met when it came to the food.

I would like to share my experience of today's visit with you. The food and ambiance were, as always, very nice. On my first visit, I chose the Osaka menu, and today I chose the Kyoto menu. What disappointed me again, however, was the birthday treat. This is the second time I've mentioned it was my wife's birthday when making a reservation before arriving, and each time I've been promised a small treat with dessert. Unfortunately, nothing happened again. Perhaps this could be a note for you and your team. Just note down the special features of the guests somewhere. It's difficult when I want to surprise my wife and come to the restaurant to inform the waiters again that it's my wife's birthday. That would ruin the surprise. In the future, I would definitely choose a different restaurant to surprise my wife. I hope you can put yourself in my shoes, especially if it's the second time and you pay hundreds of euros for each visit.

The view from the tower is impressive. The food was very good. Maybe we would have done even better with purely Japanese dishes than with the menu. Our waiter was overwhelmed with the drinks (cocktails, wine) because he lacked know-how and experience (the boss could invest in further training). Otherwise, the employees were very courteous and attentive. Overall, I can only recommend a visit.

Located at the top of the Rheinturm, Qomo sets expectations high with sweeping views of Düsseldorf’s skyline. And I’ll give it this: the view is absolutely stunning, especially around sunset. It’s the kind of romantic, cinematic backdrop. Getting there, however, is another story. Despite receiving no fewer than five reservation confirmation and reminder emails, not a single word mentioned the 30-minute queue for the elevator. Yes, I timed it. This lack of communication left us waiting awkwardly in a tourist-crowd bottleneck—not exactly how you want to start a supposedly refined dining experience. Now, let’s talk about the food. Qomo labels itself as Japanese fusion, but much of what we were served tasted more like confusion. The scallop ceviche was so salty I genuinely worried for my kidney function. The sushi didn’t have that fresh, delicate glow you expect from sashimi-grade fish. It looked dull, and unfortunately, tasted the same. The much-hyped wagyu skewer? It had the texture and flavor of basic beef—not tender, not marbled, just... sad. I couldn’t finish it, and my (merciful) friend ended up taking it off my hands. Even the edamame wasn’t spared—some pods were still undercooked. How do you mess up edamame? Ironically, the most enjoyable item was the roasted potatoes—which, in a Japanese restaurant, says more than it should. I’ll have to say, my friend was happy with her few dishes, one of them being the octopus starter, which I also find decent, a little heavy-handed on the salt (a recurring theme), but the octopus itself was fresh and properly cooked so I suppose there are hits among the misses. Service-wise, things weren’t much better. The ladies’ restroom was out of service, and other guests were casually advising me to use the men’s. Not ideal. Waitstaff were clearly overwhelmed: one accidentally knocked several items off a nearby table, which was very close to ours. When I asked for soy sauce, the waiter poured it generously—filling my entire tiny dish, as though I were about to eat sushi like a bratwurst in gravy. I’m sure he meant good tho. He was very very nice and polite during the whole night. Look—if you’re just here for drinks and the view, you’ll probably have a lovely evening. And to be fair, a lot of guests (especially those not particularly familiar with Japanese cuisine) seemed perfectly happy. But if you’re coming in with high standards for food or even a basic expectation of authenticity, be prepared for disappointment—served with a side of soy sauce. Lots of it.

Great view and great ambience in the TV tower for those who like Japanese fusion cuisine. Some of the dishes are cleverly made, e.g. octopus and ceviche. Lounge music with a DJ and delicious cocktails. Everything just isn't cheap.

We were in Qomo for the first time today and it will be the only time - unfortunately! The ambience is really great, as a Düsseldorfer you have of course known the Rhine Tower and the restaurants there over the years. Following the very good reviews of Qomo, we wanted to try it out ourselves today and were very disappointed. The service was already more than average and the food wasn't what you would expect given the prices. The quality of the food was ok, but the quantity, presentation and sophistication left something to be desired. The cheapest wine starts at €49 and the menus are €158 or €178 for two people - and you won't get full. If the performance on the plate and in the service were right, the prices would still not be “cheap”, but overall they would be ok. But unfortunately it doesn't fit at all! If you're talking about one of the best restaurants in the city, we have lots of recommendations for wonderful gastronomic experiences in Düsseldorf. The view is unique for Düsseldorf - but you can also get it with a drink at the bar. PS: Surprisingly, there are an incredible number of 5* reviews; However, the worse to average reviews receive a lot of likes 😉

Beautiful atmosphere at a high altitude of about 200 metres, especially the view of the Rheine River at sunset

We were looking forward to a nice, quiet evening in a pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed, as it didn't live up to our experience. When I go to such an expensive restaurant, I don't expect to be bombarded with loud music! We had the set menu for €79 per person, which last year included a cocktail, but this was removed, and the menu is completely overpriced. A 0.2-liter glass of wine for €16 is unacceptable. Conclusion: €203 for loud music and food that was far below average; I wouldn't recommend it. The service is friendly, and the view is magnificent.

An absolute wow factor right from the entrance! We received a very warm welcome and were quickly shown to our table. The food and service were excellent, and the stunning view made our evening simply magical! Thank you so much for this hospitable experience.

So, we would have given it 6 stars. The food was simply delicious and visually well presented. The service was wonderful. Sooo friendly. We felt particularly well looked after. The blue sky with the slowly setting sun added to the magical ambience. There really wasn't anything more. A wonderfully beautiful dinner in an incomparable ambience. The food was OK, the service slow and rare. We would have liked to have had something to drink if the service had been on point. Unfortunately the espresso was only lukewarm. The view is what makes it special here, the rest is normal and expensive!

It was our first time in Qomo and we weren't disappointed. The ambience, service and food are absolutely world class. Really without exception everything was just a 100000/10. The prices are of course high but it is worth every cent.

The experience is beautiful, romantic and atmospheric. The food does not meet the price/quality expectations. The sushi is nothing special, and the other dishes are simple and pricey.

The experience starts right from the lift. Opening it, you are faced with a beautifully designed space with soft music. It is possible to book just for a drink. We went to eat. For two people, one of the 2 menus is recommended, so that you can taste a fine selection of dishes, from starters to desserts. In the event that you wish to choose one of the dishes on the menu: elaborate dishes, sometimes fusion cuisine. What came was delicious and very filling. The service was impeccable. We were very impressed with the view of the city and the surroundings of Dusseldorf, since the tables... were on a moving floor! The table is closed for 2 hours (without pressure or extra cost if the time limit is exceeded), while a full rotation of the platform takes more than 1 hour. In general, it was one of THE experiences of the (culinary) life. We will be back!

The meal was excellent! Great wine list. It was very busy, so the service had a bit of a hard time keeping up. But they were always friendly and competent.

Unfortunately disappointing service. We had made reservations for a birthday, but there was no friendly gesture or special attention. The employees seemed rude and unhelpful - even simple questions were answered unclearly or sloppily. Particularly annoying: Only after a long wait were we informed that the kitchen was already closed and we could no longer order desserts. Although the location is impressive (10/10), the service ruined the evening. Our entire group of 10 were equally disappointed. Unfortunately not worth a visit!

If you want an excellent view with great and tasty drinks, QOMO is perfect for you. However, if you want first-class food, you shouldn't go there. For the price, I ate much better at the Secret Garden in Netherlands. The view has a price.

Great ambience/very good service and exceptionally tasty dishes

Everything was perfect except payment. I left by mistake much more money than expected and the waiter left with the money. We were waiting for 10 min, then left and later on I understood, that I left twice the payment. It`s a pity that the waiter didn`t return back to our table with the rest of the money (500 EUR more that invoice). And nobody called me with excuses etc. So I put 3 stars.

Actually 5 stars, but unfortunately we went home feeling very disappointed. We ordered the menu for 89€, which is for 2 people, and ended up being charged for two menus on the bill. So instead of the expected €89 bill, we paid a €178 bill. Very very annoying and a shame.

Total recommendation! Parking is possible directly in front of the tower, we received a free lift ticket from the gatekeeper in the tower and the lift guide took us to 172m. Wonderful view, great ambience, friendly service, delicious Japanese food, prices completely acceptable for the atmosphere and quality. Just small drawbacks. If you want to find something to complain about at the highest level: the lamp above our table occasionally flickered, after the meal the neighboring tables were cleaned up quite loudly and individually dimming the lights for dessert would have made the view over Düsseldorf even more beautiful. We'd love to come back! 😊

The registration process may have its place. That put a lot of strain on me. The table had to be reserved 3 times. In addition, with these prices, parking shouldn't cost money too. This leaves a bad impression. Too bad

As always, the store is full :-) Elevator staff are always nice and polite. DJ was good. Service too. Food of the usual good quality. You know the price in advance 😂🫣

Heute zum 6 Mal im Qomo. Wir wollten unseren Freunden die tolle Aussicht und das stylische Restaurant zeigen. Alex und Emre habe uns heute Abend perfekt dabei umsorgt. Die Beratung von Alex zur Menukarte war wieder einmal perfekt, so dass wir uns alle Mega gut informiert gefühlt haben - von der ersten Minute an eine große Zufriedenheit. @Alex, Dir merkt man echt an, dass Du diesen Job und Deine Produkte liebst - Klasse. Der empfohlene Aperitif- hat super geschmeckt - jederzeit wieder! Wir haben uns für die Menu‘s Kyoto und Osaka entschieden. Truly unique! The view, especially at night or in the evening, is truly breathtaking! The service was also top notch, thanks to Embre and Patrick for this great evening. You really have it and gave us a very special evening for our relationship anniversary. The food and drinks are really finely prepared and taste excellent, rounding off the whole thing for a special evening. We really liked it.
