A very cozy and family-friendly atmosphere, very warm and friendly service, great food and delicious wines - what more could you want?

There were four of us at Shemesh Restaurant today and we were thrilled! The service was incredibly friendly, the food simply fantastic – fresh, delicious, and something a little different. Plus, the atmosphere was great. Highly recommended – I'll definitely be back!

I was at the restaurant with colleagues. We really enjoyed the atmosphere. The waiter was helpful. However, they didn't bring everyone's order at once. We had to wait a very long time for two dishes, after other colleagues had already finished theirs. But that's okay. The main thing is, it was worth it. Vyacheslav Baraev, of whom I am a fan, masterfully prepared all the dishes! And just as importantly, he took a moment to personally greet us and take a selfie. Thank you so much for that! We will definitely come again. And of course, I highly recommend visiting!

Four of us ate there today. We were immediately handed a menu, and our drinks arrived shortly after ordering. The service was excellent; I had the leg of lamb, which was personally brought to our table by the chef.

We and our guests had an incredible time at Shemesh 🌟. As soon as you enter, you feel the warm, inviting atmosphere and immediately feel welcome. The food was simply fantastic – fresh, aromatic, and prepared with so much love 🍴✨. Every course was a delight: from the appetizers to the main courses – everything was perfectly seasoned, beautifully presented, and tasted at the highest level. Our guests were thrilled and are still raving about it 🥰. The atmosphere was also particularly wonderful: not just a festive dinner, but an evening full of joie de vivre, where we could laugh, celebrate, and even dance 💃🕺. It was the perfect blend of enjoyment and good cheer! We would definitely love to come back and would like to thank the entire team from the bottom of our hearts ❤️ – especially the warm-hearted Slava, whose friendliness and attentiveness contributed significantly to making the evening unforgettable for all of us 🙏✨.

A serving of pelmeni, 10 small ones, cost 17 euros. There was no seasoning, so I had to eat the pelmeni with bread to fill up. The vegetables were a pretty picture, but you get eggplant topped with crushed tomato; the flavor was neutral, and the price was 10 euros. The quality of the food left much to be desired; it was tasteless and the portions were tiny. My colleagues ordered vareniki, 9 small vareniki, for 13 or 14 euros. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I often go to Düsseldorf for work, and I'll never go to this restaurant again! There's no trace of Mediterranean cuisine here. We smelled smoke from the kitchen. Next visit is Saturday, September 13, 2025. Buffet 45 euros. The selection is boring, a miserable pittance for 45 euros! Salads mostly consisted of beets and cabbage. For main courses, there were three pieces of red fish for nine people. But there was enough bread and hummus on the table, so we didn't leave hungry. A glass of mineral water is 8.50 euros! Where else can you find prices like that? Fruit drink in a glass, called a cocktail, is 9.50 euros! Payment is strictly in cash. I reported this to the tax office as a token of "gratitude." Restaurant owners should stop ripping people off. If the food was tasty and sufficient, then the money wouldn't be a pity. And think about a glass of water for 8.50 euros; that's just too much!

If you want to eat our way or dance after dinner, this is the right place. In terms of prices, it seemed a bit expensive to me, but the service is good, not like in German restaurants.

As part of our culinary world tour, we were in Düsseldorf today. We weren't sure whether we'd try Russian, Israeli, or Uzbek cuisine. It ended up being a mix of everything. We enjoyed the food, but it was less unusual than we expected. Unfortunately, there was no beer from faraway countries. We were completely alone in the restaurant. Perhaps we were just too early.

It's always a top-notch experience! It's delicious and entertaining here. I'm already looking forward to the next time.

Stuck in the 90s 🥹 The Shemesh Restaurant in Düsseldorf initially presents itself with an inviting, if somewhat cliched, “oriental” immigrant atmosphere - lots of decor, little substance. The service was friendly, but not attentive. The food itself can best be described as mediocre: neither particularly fine-tuned nor memorable in terms of taste. For the high prices, I would have expected much more sophistication - both in preparation and presentation. What struck me as particularly unpleasant was the background music. The old-fashioned selection seemed out of date and gave more the impression of a nostalgic family celebration from the 90s than of a modern, urban restaurant. Conclusion: If you are looking for a somewhat folkloristic atmosphere and are satisfied with average cuisine and a high price level, you might want to spend an evening here.

The food was quite good, but the service left much to be desired. It took a long time for the menus to be handed to us, and it was difficult to get a server's attention. No one asked if we wanted any more drinks or if everything was to our satisfaction.

Visited last Saturday evening and was very satisfied! The ambience was stylish and cozy, the atmosphere inviting. The service was excellent and catered to special requests - for example a vase for flowers was provided/headache tablets were given, which underlines the service. The live music on Saturday evening was impressive and created a wonderful atmosphere. A visit at this time is absolutely recommended! The food was freshly prepared and very tasty. The selection is wide and offers both Russian and international dishes. As a connoisseur of Russian cuisine, I can only report positive things. We recommend the homemade plov, which tasted perfect and the portion was satisfactory. This was offered in response to a recommendation and rightly so! Another visit to our site is guaranteed and we can recommend it to everyone. No matter whether you want to eat delicious food or spend a nice evening.

We ate there for the first time yesterday, I can only report positive things, we had a very attentive and very nice waitress! Yesterday I was out with my loved one again. We had been planning on going out for a Russian meal for a long time. After some research, we came up with the Shemesh. In short: we were absolutely thrilled. The whole meal is a happening for us. There seems to be live music there every Saturday night, the atmosphere was incredible. People danced and celebrated, everyone danced and was in a good mood. We will definitely come back and enjoy this atmosphere again.

The focus is on live music. Olga is awesome 👍 There were 7 of us and unfortunately the food wasn't good for everyone. Khinkhali were not through, one dish was forgotten. Cocktails (Aperol) weren't great either. Were there for the first time and probably not the last time because of Olga.

We celebrated a friend's birthday at Shemesh Restaurant and I really loved it. You will receive a very warm welcome and you will immediately feel at home. The staff was very attentive, friendly and accommodating. Overall there is a pleasant family atmosphere. That evening I decided on the "Young Chicken Tabaka - House Chick with Baked Potatoes" and I didn't regret it for a moment. The chicken was really crispy on the outside and incredibly juicy on the inside. The taste was a true experience. The portions are nice and big, but not overly large. I was full, but didn't feel overeaten. Precisely. Everyone else at the table also enjoyed their food. A highlight was of course the live music and the dance floor. It's incredibly fun to just get up in an upscale atmosphere and forget about everyday life on the dance floor. The singer was really likeable and accompanied us through the evening with her great singing. Will definitely come back with great pleasure. Thanks to the Shemesh team for a successful evening. I will fondly remember the hours I spent with you.

Еда на тройку по пятибальной системе..! Попробовали около 7 блюд, шашлык жесткий! салаты, мягко говоря сделаны «на быструю руку», ну и порции, миниатюрные, блюдо на 4 человека, шашлык- это два люля (не понятно почему 2 штук на 4 человека) и штук 7 миниатюрных кусочков баранины…
