THE ROOF Düsseldorf in Düsseldorf

Wir waren sehr enttäuscht da es im Internet anders dargestellt wurde. Es war leider ungemütlich laut und voller Geschäftsleute sicher dadurch bedingt das es einem Hotel angegliedert war. Das wussten wir aber nicht. Schade wir sind extra aus Aachen gekommen.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit unserem Abend, das Essen hätte besser sein können, das Fleisch war etwas trocken beim Hauptgang, aber der Service war hervorragend. Sabri hat uns liebevoll durch den Abend begleitet und war sehr freundlich und kompetent!

Wir sind recht oft im The Roof, es ist ein sehr gutes Restaurant mit tollen Dachterrassen. Den Aperitif hatten wir auf einer der Terrassen, dann wurde es leider recht kühl, Ende April ist das nicht ungewöhnlich. Wir hatten ein tolles Dinner mit zwei fantastischen Rotweinen. Der Service ist auf Zack, immer freundlich, immer aufmerksam, es gibt nicht viele Restaurants, die das dauerhaft beherrschen.

Wie immer sehr tolles Essen und beste Betreuung durch nette, kompetente Kräfte. Wir fühlen uns fast wie Zuhause!

Das Essen und der Service waren super. Das Hotelzimmer war sehr sauber.

Der DJ war für 99€ leider nicht ausreichend… Kellner konnten die Cocktail Rezepte nicht… zwischendurch hat man 20 Minuten auf ein Glas Weißwein gewartet und Currywurst bei einen Event für fast 100 Euro ist leider zu wenig.

A lovely restaurant. Stylish and modern, yet very comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly. The food was absolutely delicious. The herring salad blew me away. It tasted just like the ones in the harbor restaurants of my hometown, Hamburg. My sincere respect to the entire team. You gave us a wonderful evening.

We have placed an order three times with three different waiters, asked for a menu and never received it. We waited over half and hour, we felt neglected and decided not to continue with the reservation.

wir haben Ihr Restaurant am 11.11.2025 besucht. Das Ambiente war sehr angenehm, jedoch waren die Fleischgerichte leider stark geruchsintensiv und das Steak meines Freundes wurde zu roh serviert. Nach erneutem Grillen war es leider sehr zäh. Außerdem habe ich später festgestellt, dass uns 12 Euro zu viel berechnet wurden. Wir hatten nur das Menü (je 65 Euro) und eine Flasche Wasser bestellt. Die Getränke sollten wegen des Geburtstags meines Freundes kostenlos sein. Ich kann nicht erkennen, wofür die zusätzlichen 12 Euro berechnet wurden.

Habe ein Fensterplatz bekommen und ohne Rückenlehne. Nicht wirklich gemütlich und keinen Kühler für die Weinflasche bekommen.

Wir besuchten in der letzten Woche des Oktobers das Restaurant "The Roof", welches sich im Rooftop des Hotels b'mine in Düsseldorf befindet. Meine Frau und ich wählten je ein Menü aus. Es gab somit eine sehr leckere Auswahl an diversen Speisen. Als Entree gab es ein tolles Rindertatar und einen feinen Lachs. Beides war toll angerichtet und schmeckte vorzüglich. Die Bedienung, welche sich als aufmerksam und fachkompetent erwies, bot uns diverse Rotweine an, wo wir einen sensationellen Provence Wein entdeckten. Zum Essen dazu gab es ein Platte mit einem gutem Brot die Dips bestanden aus Butter und einem guten Olivenöl. Als Hauptgang wurde ein Flanksteak mit Wasabipüree und eine Entenbrust mit Reis serviert. Beides war auf den Punkt gegart, also wie gewünscht. Die Beilagen waren sehr gut im Geschmack. Als Fazit muss gesagt werden, das es ein sehr schöner Abend in einer entspannten Athmosphere mit gutem Servicepersonal war und am Ende ein moderater Preis das ganze perfekt machte. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Eine Weiterempfehlung kann man ohne Abstriche geben.

Sehr schöner Abend im Rahmen von Chefs in Town mit einem tollen Menü und guter Weinbegleitung.

The food was quite tasty overall, but the service was a bit chaotic, and the prices, in my opinion, were significantly too high. At first, we weren't brought a wine list until we asked. After we placed our drink and food orders, they apparently weren't recorded – the appetizer never arrived, and we had to wait quite a long time. When the main courses were served, we asked for the appetizer. The main courses were then sent back to the kitchen. A short while later, the waiter and even the chef came over and asked if it was okay to serve the appetizer and main course at the same time. We agreed, so the main courses wouldn't get cold, especially since we had ordered the steak medium rare. Unfortunately, it ended up being more medium. We found the menu presentation somewhat misleading: It appears as if the steak and chicken each include a side dish and a dip – but in reality, these come at an additional cost, which ended up being surprisingly expensive. I'd like to highlight one positive point: The appetizer was removed from the bill as an apology, and we also received a free dessert (strawberry mochi). However, it was far too sweet and we didn't like it at all. When we asked for a rum instead of dessert, it was brought but later charged at a high price. Overall, the food tasted good, but the seasoning was a bit too mild – with the exception of the wok-fried vegetables, which were again overly spicy. Conclusion: The food was okay, but nothing special. Service was friendly but could be improved; the value for money was unfortunately not up to scratch. Oh, and we had expected the restaurant to be fully booked – as one often hears. In fact, it was pretty empty on our evening. All the more surprising that the service was still somewhat slow despite the relatively low volume.

With a unique view over Düsseldorf, we enjoyed a stylish, modern ambiance, delicious food, and courteous service. Overall, it was a fantastic evening. We'll be back.

A true highlight – The Roof impresses with its exceptional ambiance and outstanding cuisine. The very friendly chef, in particular, impresses with creative dishes of the highest quality. The experience is rounded out by the attentive and warm service – highly recommended!

Alles hat reibungslos geklappt, obwohl wir eine größere Gruppe waren. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und freuen uns schon auf das nächste Mal!

The ambiance is really nice, but I have to criticize the service... The waiters were unfriendly from the start, and their tone towards us was very condescending. At other tables, their behavior was completely different; we noticed that our "looks" didn't fit in with the desired clientele. In my opinion, the menu isn't so expensive that you have to act like that. So, unless you look old or wealthy, it's definitely not worth the trip.

We were there last night and were totally disappointed! The menu was a joke, supposedly for a small event. The online menu promised something completely different, which we were already looking forward to. The service wasn't any better; we had ordered, among other things, a large bottle of water, but it wasn't brought until we asked for it! The fact that two pigeons flew over the set tables and even walked around on them didn't make our evening any better. At the next table, four people were sitting who, as we could tell, were also very upset about the menu. One of them then grabbed his phone and reserved a table at another restaurant. We left very early and ended the evening on the terrace of another restaurant!!! Absolutely not recommended!

We ate here. The view is amazing and the appetizer was superb, but otherwise it was a matter of patience... After arriving, we first had a drink at the bar, and halfway through, we were shown to our table. The appetizer was great, but the main course lacked the wow factor, especially after the appetizer. Main Course My husband had the chicken for his main course. It was good, but it was actually odd that there was no side at all. Especially since the appetizer burger comes with fries (which looked more like a main course). I had the veal steak, which came with vegetables. It was a much-too-coarsely chopped ratatouille that was completely submerged in gravy, which I didn't think was appropriate at all. So, the main course was disappointing, especially for the price. Waiting Time Moreover, everything took far too long. We don't mind waiting a bit, but this was about three or four times the time compared to other restaurants. It took a long time to order, between courses it took far too long, and even if you ordered drinks, it took far too long. Especially considering half of us didn't show up. It wasn't that it was full (7 tables). The waiter tried his best but wasn't efficient himself. That didn't help the speed. It took us a total of three hours to finish two courses. We got up fairly quickly after the second course, especially since we weren't planning on waiting another 15 minutes for the receipt after waiting 10 minutes for the bill and then waiting again for the actual payment.

Great rooftop terrace. Expensive, the fillet was tough and overpriced for what it was. I won't be visiting the restaurant again. WHAT A SHAME!!

The breakfast is extensive and there's something for every taste. We were served very nicely by Veska.

Wegen einer Veranstaltung gab es nur eine sehr kleine Auswahl an Speisen. Habe einen Cheeseburger für 19€ bestellt. Wurde recht schnell serviert. Burger war sehr trocken und wurde mit einer Handvoll rohen Spinatblättern und 5 kleinen Salzbrezeln serviert. Bis auf eine Mitarbeiterin wirkten alle Servicekräfte komplett überfordert. Waren zu viert und sind alle sehr enttäuscht.

Wir sind vom Gegenteil überzeugt. ————— Wir waren zum Geburtstagsfrühstück dort. Die Terasse ist toll, das Frühstück leider nicht. Der Käse stand sicherlich bereits länger, er war so sehr angetrocknet (der Schnittkäse aber nochmehr Weichkäse). Die Cremes ( z.B. Advocadocreme hatte bereits eine ganz dunkle Haut gezogen sehr unappetitlich. Als wir ankamen war alles sehr leer 8:00 Uhr morgens. Körnerbrötchen wurden in der einen Stunde, die wir vor Ort waren, nicht mehr aufgefüllt. Dann kam der Preisschock 56 eur für zwei Personen. Das ist für die Auswahl der Speisen einfach nicht gerechtfertigt:-( Schade, hatte mir meinen Start in den Geburtstag schöner vorgestellt. —————— Toll, das man so gut mit doch zunächst sehr negativen Bewertungen umgeht. Das The Roof hat mich wirklich begeistert! Der Service war einfach super die Mitarbeitenden waren aufmerksam, freundlich und immer zur Stelle. Man fühlt sich direkt willkommen und gut aufgehoben. Das Essen war eine echte Spitze: Top Qualität und genügend auf dem Teller, um satt zu werden. Jeder Gang war ein echter Genuss, perfekt abgestimmt und mit viel Liebe zum Detail angerichtet – einfach köstlich! Und dann die Aussicht aus der 6. Etage – wow! Egal ob bei Sonnenuntergang oder unter dem Sternenhimmel, der Blick über die Stadt macht den Abend zu etwas ganz Besonderem. Auch das Ambiente hat super gepasst: modern, stilvoll, aber trotzdem gemütlich – ideal für einen schönen Abend mit Freunden oder zu zweit. Ich komme garantiert wieder und kann The Roof nur empfehlen!

Das Restaurant im b'mine hat mich wirklich begeistert! Das Team dort war super freundlich und aufmerksam, man fühlt sich direkt wohl. Das Essen war ein echtes Highligh, kreativ, lecker und richtig schön angerichtet. Jeder Teller war ein Genuss! Auch die Atmosphäre ist modern und gemütlich, perfekt für einen entspannten Abend. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder und kann es nur empfehlen!

This was our first time dining at THE ROOF and we were absolutely impressed. The starters were fresh and delicious, the main courses plentiful, and the desserts exceptional. There's a wide selection of aperitifs (some of which are the bar's own creations) and a good wine list. All in all, a lovely evening with delicious food and a fantastic view, including the sunset. We'd love to come back.

We visited this restaurant on May 21, 2025, and I have to say that this restaurant's social media presence is fantastic. The food, however, is a 3/10 for the price. We go there every Wednesday, and it hasn't been this bad in a long time. The burgers were cold, no sauce, everything was prepared without care, there were far too few staff, and our waiter wasn't exactly the best. The ambiance is nice if you like colorful things => food from a hotel in the city center.

Wir waren zu siebt und alle waren eher enttäuscht. Der Service hat öfters Bestellungen vergessen. Die Kommunikation war nicht Gastgerecht. Damit meinte ich, dass die Freundlichkeit fehlte. Es machte den Eindruck, als ob die Kellner noch nie gekellnert hatten. Wir wurden von Kellner gebeten, ihm die Türe zu öffnen, damit er das Geschirr raustragen konnte. Das Essen war so eine Art „all you can eat“ ! Keine schlechte Idee aber noch sehr verbesserungsbedürftig. Die Terrasse ist sehr schön und man hat einen schönen Blick. Rettete aber unseren Abend leider nicht. Für uns war es ein Ausreichend.

Wir waren zum BBQ auf der Dachterrasse des The Roof Restaurants und es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Der umsichtige Service des Restaurantleiters war top, die jungen Servicekräfte sehr motiviert. Die Qualität der Speisen war top, verschiedene Fleischsorten, Salate, knusprige Brote.

A great ambience above the roofs of Ddorf. Our waiter Kent gave us a wonderful evening, the kitchen was open and the chefs are really good professionals. The service from Kent and the kitchen was explicitly excellent. We had a romantic wedding day, thanks to the team from the roof.

We have been here twice now and this will always be our address when we are in Düsseldorf! Simply great here 👍. 1x in the CarLoft room,... a dream for anyone who loves their car! The car just chills on the 5th floor, on the balcony/driveway. You can easily watch it from your bed or couch. Plus it's very spacious, clean and there's actually nothing missing! Super comfortable beds. You can sleep very well in it 👍. The second night was in a double room, a bit smaller but everything was great here too, clean and comfortable! The staff is very friendly, committed and coordinated, a good team, you can tell. I would particularly like to highlight Esra from the reception, who was very helpful when it came to arranging a ride. Thanks again 👍. Vasca from the service team also gives you a feeling of being at home. You're literally looking forward to breakfast 👌. The restaurant with a unique view and wonderful opportunities to soak up the sun is really great. You can really eat very well there in the evening👌. It really stands out in terms of taste. Everything modernly furnished. On our next visits we will also explore the sauna and the gym, I can't say anything about them yet, except that it looked good.

Very average menu which did not live up to the very good decor and view. This appears as a higher end restaurant but unfortunately is very basic. The table next to us were just as surprised as us. Great setting, good service but bland tasteless food.

Wir habe im The Roof schon oft lecker gegessen und uns dieses Restaurant jetzt auch für eine Familienfeier ausgesucht. Danke an das ganze Team für einen wunderbaren Abend, an dem alles gestimmt hat: der nette Empfang und aufmerksame Service, die perfekte Zusammenstellung des Sharing Dinner und die sehr gute Weinauswahl - auch alkoholfrei! Wir können das Restaurant weiterempfehlen und es ist eine wirkliche Bereicherung für den Stadtteil.

This was our first time here for the Valentine's Day menu and my expectations were simply exceeded. We misunderstood the menu and thought we could choose the vegetarian option because we were choosing from 3 main courses, but ALL 3 starters and main courses were served as sharers. So we hadn't expressed our desire for a vegetarian menu in advance and the kitchen spontaneously came up with two alternatives to the meat and fish variations for us! I was only expecting to get the 1 vegetarian option on the menu anyway, so when they tried to offer more options especially for us, I was really blown away. I didn't expect that and I don't think that's a given with a fixed menu, the mistake was ours. I found the food unusual and exciting, and for me personally there were some combinations that I wouldn't normally eat. Everything had very strong flavors and strong spices, so really something new. Not for every day but great to try. Location was also very beautiful with the sunset over the city. Service - as I said, just super nice and warm to make everything possible for us!

Very nice hotel. We held our conference there with company. The only drawback: in some rooms the heating or air conditioning could not be regulated. But rooms were exchanged fairly. Thanks to the lovely Indian manager. Unfortunately I forgot the name.

Unfortunately, there were some significant weaknesses in the service during the New Year's Eve celebration and on the morning of New Year's Day, which marred the otherwise positive impression: New Year's Eve celebration at THE ROOF restaurant: Service dropped off significantly after 10:30 p.m. The staff seemed more focused on their own celebration than on the guests. It was annoying that paid drinks were cleared from the table even though you just wanted to grab something to eat. We also found begging for the crémant included in the price to toast unpleasant. Breakfast on January 1st, 2025: The remains of the New Year's Eve celebration were clearly visible - the tables were not clean and dirt could be seen everywhere. Just an hour after the restaurant opened, there were no more eggs and no more bacon was added. Here you definitely should have been prepared for a larger crowd. It's a shame that the good impression from the previous day was tarnished by these experiences. We would still give the restaurant a second chance as there were many positive aspects. Hopefully the above points will be improved in the future.

Als "Wiederholungstäter" kann ich nur sagen wieder mal toll. Wenn man dann vom Service wieder erkannt wird, umso schöner. Vielleicht habe ich mich gut benommen ;-) komme auf jeden Fall wieder. Kommt gut ins neue Jahr. Und macht weiter so! Liebe Grüße Wilfried Roland

Visité este establecimiento el sábado con mi novia alemana, nos recomendó un chico en un irishbar que dijo que su amigo trabaja aquí. No nos decepcionó, la comida el servicio fue increíble. A pesar de una gran fiesta en marcha estábamos bien atendidos. Fuimos recibidos por un chico pequeño y era muy amable y atendido por otro que también era muy amable. Pero lo más destacado fue la comida que tomé un sarro y mi novia el ceviche de salmón, luego la pechuga de res y langostinos, el sabor fue increíble y la presentación fue como estar en un restaurante de alta gama 10/10. Al salir hablamos rápidamente con la cocina para dar las gracias y nos encontramos con el cocinero que era el amigo que se mencionó. Un tipo muy encantador, así como su colega que estaban muy contentos de que disfrutamos de nuestra cena. Por favor, transmita nuestro agradecimiento a la cocina y el servicio. . Volveré de nuevo...

Attention dear Flingerans! A great buffet breakfast awaits you above the roofs of Flingern. We tried the brunch buffet at The Roof today. A very nice, modern and at the same time cozy atmosphere with a view of Flingern! We really liked that. The varied and fresh buffet had something to offer for everyone. And the staff was very nice. A very big thank you to the two great breakfast fairies Claudia and Veska, who sweetened our morning with their smiles and service. We'd love to come again.

Tolle Location über den Dächern von Düsseldorf. Wir haben hier gefrühstückt und spätabends noch die Bar besucht. Das Personal ist durchweg nett und zuvorkommend, auf sympathisch ungekünstelte Art. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und kommen wieder :)

We stayed in the very nice and clean Car Loft room for 2 days and had breakfast on the roof in the morning. The entire staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our special face Ms. Veska was here every morning.

Cooles und sehr gemütliches Ambiente, ausgesprochen aufmerksame und freundliche Mitarbeiter. Dazu ein sehr feines Essen, das nicht alltäglich ist. Die Speisekarte bietet eine eher kleine, aber erlesene Auswahl von diversen Gerichten. Die Preise sind absolut in Ordnung. Dazu kostenloses Parken.

Das Hotel befindet sich in einer super Lage, Es hat unsre Erwartungen in jeder Hinsicht übertroffen. Die Liebe zum Detail und das Engagement des gesamten Teams sind deutlich spürbar. Besonders beeindruckend war für uns auch die Auswahl und Qualität der Speisen. Hier legt man Wert auf Frsche und hochwertige Produkte, was sich in jedem Bissen widerspiegelt. Der Service hier ist hervorragend. Man spürt, dass die Mitarbeiter nicht nur ihre Arbeit machen, sondern daran interessiert sind, ihren Gästen den angenehmsten Aufenthalt und ein unvergessliches Erlebnis zu bieten. Die Dachbar ist ein Highlight. Perfekt, um nach einem langen Tag zu entspannen und den Sonnenuntergang und Ausblick zu genießen. Insgesamt können wir das Hotel nur empfehlen! Wir freuen uns schon auf unseren nächsten Besuch:)

We went to the restaurant with friends and ate on the roof terrace. The starters (salmon and beef) were excellent, as was the steak and my husband had the coq au vin. The wine selection thanks to the friendly service was just as perfect as the entire ambience.

Tolle Küche, die auch ein wenig überraschen kann. Highlight war dass an dem Abend auch noch eine Gitarrist auf der Terrasse gespielt hat. War eine schöne Sommerabend-Stimmung mit sehr nettem Personal. Komme gerne wieder ins THE ROOF

Wir waren am Roof beim Grill, das Essen war sehr lecker und die Atmosphäre sehr angenehm. Großer Auswahl an Fleisch und Gemüse, interessante Cocktails.

Wir waren zu zweit im THE ROOF und hatten das Sharing Menü. Der herzliche Empfang vom F&B Manager und Küchenchef hat sofort einen besonderen Abend eingeläutet. Platziert wurden wir an einem Tisch direkt am Fenster mit einem wundervollen Ausblick über die Dächer Düsseldorfs. Das Sharing Menü bestehend aus Vorspeise, Hauptspeise und Nachspeise ist seinen Preis auf jeden Fall wert und wird sicherlich jeden satt machen. Alle Gerichte aus der asiatischen Fusionküche haben uns sehr gut geschmeckt und sogar auf unsere Wünsche wurde eingegangen. Auch den Service möchten wir besonders positiv hervorheben, da er stets freundlich und schnell erfolgte. Zum Abschluss gab es eine persönliche Cocktailempfehlung, mit der wir einen tollen Abend ausklingen lassen durften. Wir werden definitiv wiederkommen und empfehlen das THE ROOF sehr gerne guten Gewissens weiter.

Top Location mit sehr freundlichem Personal, charmante Einrichtung bis hin zu den Toiletten. Rundum Blick von mehreren Terrassen. Die Karte verspricht viel und hält es auch. Sehr gute Küche von der Anrichte bis zum Geschmack ein Fest, Große Weinkarte bei der kein Wunsch offen bleibt. Wir haben es als Kiezbewohner ausprobiert und sind überzeugt. Das war nicht das letzte Mal. PS.: Das Frühstück habe ich alleine probiert und auch das war toll. Alles in allem sehr empfehlenswert!

Toller Ansatz, sehr interessante Aussicht (dafür die Punkte), aber das war es auch schon. Ein Barbecue, das nen Namen nicht verdient, Desserts a'la Convenience und Kellner, die Probleme mit den Weinsorten haben. Dafür ist das einfach viel zu teuer. Lieber nicht nochmal.

A disappointing visit despite a beautiful location As someone who likes to eat out often, both nationally and internationally, and is always curious about the diverse preparation methods of Fusion Kitchen, I had high expectations for this restaurant. Unfortunately, these expectations were only partially fulfilled. Our evening started with a ceviche, which was a big disappointment. The pieces were roughly cut, both the fish and the avocado. The balance of flavors was completely off, with a distinct lack of acidity, which is essential for an authentic ceviche. Overall, this dish had little to do with the original, fresh and finely tuned style of a ceviche. Unfortunately, the miso burger that I tried afterwards wasn't a masterpiece either. The bun was very reminiscent of a pretzel roll, which was already the first disappointment. The patty itself tasted dry and like a finished product - no trace of juicy, aromatic quality. A small highlight, if you can call it that, were the side dishes: the wild broccoli and the triplet potatoes were well prepared and tasty, but they couldn't make up for the disappointment with the main courses. What ultimately saved our visit was the wonderful atmosphere of the restaurant, the stylish furnishings and the excellent wine. The location is really beautiful and invites you to linger. Because of these positive aspects, we could imagine coming back - but only to drink cocktails or wine. Unfortunately not because of the food.
