Kanzan Restaurant Lippstadt in Lippstadt

The restaurant is cozy and quite nicely decorated. You actually enjoy sitting here for a longer period of time. What is very unpleasant, however, is the extremely strong smell of the aroma lamp(s) in the entrance area, which really sticks in your nose. Really a problem for people with sensitive noses (and a tendency to headaches). Well-intentioned tip: maybe just use a little less fragrance oil. The service was nice, but unfortunately a bit sloppy. A clear division of tasks would certainly be helpful here. This way it is a) faster and b) things are not asked twice or completely forgotten (e.g. drink requests). The starter platter for two was ok, but unfortunately nothing more. The summer rolls, for example, were sticky or chewy and rubbery, as if they were from the day before. In terms of size, they were too big for the mouth but cutting didn't really work given the consistency. The spring rolls were very dark and tasted below average. I would rate the chili sauce as being convenient and unfortunately the peanut sauce, which was probably homemade, wasn't good at all. Very fatty and chunky, the taste is not delicious, nutty-sweet and umami, but just strange. The rest was fine. Regarding the main course, I have to say that the long-awaited beef pho unfortunately had a very weak broth with relatively little taste. More spices and a longer cooking time would certainly have been good here. Unfortunately, the insert was also very sparse. Pasta sufficient, meat very little, “greens” and garnishes as good as nothing. I was really disappointed because I love pho and you really can't go wrong with it... Unfortunately, the dessert wasn't convincing either. The mochi tasted quite good but was (still) rock hard. The best thing was actually the Vietnamese coffee, there was absolutely nothing wrong with it. But I honestly wouldn't come back again.

The sushi is very tasty. Unfortunately the portion is very small. Normally a roll consists of 6 pieces. Sometimes even 8. However, here only 4 pieces are counted as one roll. Too bad

Highly recommended! We came across the restaurant by chance and had a very nice evening. The food is very tasty, the atmosphere is very nice and the service is friendly and accommodating. We'll be back.

We ended up in the restaurant by chance because we were looking for one in Lippstadt that was open for lunch. We decided on a curry dish from the lunch menu and were pleasantly surprised: On the one hand, we didn't expect such a large portion for the price; On the other hand, everything was freshly prepared, the vegetables were wonderfully al dente and the sauce was delicious. The service was just as good as the food. The only drawback: There is no way to hang up or put down a handbag in the small women's toilet.

Very tasty food, unfortunately we had to wait a little longer, but it was definitely worth it. The design in the restaurant is also very attractive and cozy.

We were there for the first time. The appetizer platter for two was incredibly good. For the main course there were two pho with beef. What can I say? Incredibly delicious. You could taste the individual spices, the meat was tender and all the ingredients were absolutely fresh. The service was very attentive and friendly. We will definitely come back because the price-performance ratio is absolutely right here!

We were at Kanzan for the first time today and I was very curious about the food, I can only say I'm thrilled. The staff was friendly and accommodating, the ambience is okay, I don't think the plastic flowers are that great. In terms of taste, everything was super tasty, but for me personally it was a bit too much but that might have been due to the heat.

We have always been here on special occasions (birthdays, wedding anniversaries, ...) and each time something special and very tasty. Only recommended!

I would like to complain about my last visit to your restaurant. The summer terrace was in an extremely unsanitary condition - dirty and unkempt. What was particularly disturbing was the strong smell of dog feces, which lay under a tree and completely spoiled the appetite. Additionally, I noticed that some of your servers are touching the food with their hands, which is absolutely unacceptable. My overall impression was very negative and the dinner was completely ruined as a result. I will not recommend your restaurant and will definitely not come back.

The visit to Kanzan was a real highlight. Both the sushi and the duck dishes are simply outstanding. The sushi was fresh, artfully prepared and tasted excellent. The selection of different sushi variations is impressive and there is something for every taste. The dishes with duck are also particularly worth mentioning. I tried both the garlic duck dish and the mango duck dish and both were absolutely delicious. The duck fillet was perfectly cooked and tender. The ambience of the restaurant is also very pleasant. It is comfortably furnished and creates a relaxed atmosphere in which you immediately feel at home. The service was attentive and friendly. Overall, I can fully recommend Kanzan. Not only does it offer excellent food, but also great service and a pleasant ambience. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Every single piece was a work of art, so fresh and tasteful. 😋 I had the “Premium Set Menu” and was completely thrilled. The nigiri melted in your mouth, the maki was perfectly rolled and the inside-out rolls... mmmmh! 😍🍣 What I found particularly great: the selection is huge! No matter whether you are a sushi newbie or a professional, everyone will find something here. There are even vegetarian and vegan options. 👍🌱 And the price-performance ratio is unbeatable. Well - sushi was ok, but somehow without a kick and also from the fridge - the rice was cold. Price of €18.90 is too high for the quantity. Beer 0.5 for €5.50 - also rather expensive.

Great restaurant if you want to try something new in Lippstadt. I really liked the large selection and that every main dish was also offered vegan with tofu or optionally with crispy tofu. The food is more in the direction of Thai/Filipino cuisine and is fresh. The vegetables are crunchy. But you have to like the sweetness in the sauces. Regardless of whether it's peanut, dark garlic or curry, you can taste a certain, dominant sweetness.

We ordered shortly before closing time and still received our food within 40 minutes. The driver was very nice. The portion sizes are a little small for the price but very tasty.

I was here for the first time on Saturday. The food was okay and tasted good, but it didn't really stand out from similar restaurants. The starters and desserts were really good, but the sushi was rather bland compared to other restaurants. I don't know how to describe it, but something was just missing. The service was a bit chaotic and suddenly stopped for an hour, but it was very friendly and accommodating. I personally didn't like the ambience, but that's really just my own feeling and is largely due to the fact that the tables in this restaurant are sometimes very close together, so me and my friends were quite often surrounded by other guests when they walked past us or stood up, were jostled. It's just not really pleasant to constantly have/feel other people's butts in the small of your back while you eat...

Then we just picked up something to eat here. It was very delicious. The service was good.

Service to slow, no interrest at all. Nobody is trying to sell even a bier. We need to call the service, to get another drinks after nobody asked. The waiters were just passing by our tablet with the glasses empty for more than 10 minutes. And the restaurant was generaly empty.

We ate there for the first time today and came across the Kanzan Restaurant because of the good reviews and were not disappointed. It was incredibly tasty and you could also try unusual dishes. We're not from Lippstadt but we'll definitely come back anyway. There was also a very nice service that looked after us.

Unfortunately I have to change my rating. I understand that everything has become more expensive, but do you have to exaggerate? Furthermore, we go there quite often and now the price is higher and the portion has become much smaller, as has the €60 plate, which can only feed one person! In my opinion, the quality of the food has also changed a lot, I've never had stomach problems after eating, nor has my wife! Since yesterday's visit, my wife and I have been suffering from stomach pain and nausea. I'm sorry to say but you don't see us anymore.

Disappointing experience at Kanzan restaurant. We recently decided to visit Kanzan Restaurant on the weekend, however unfortunately our experience was far from satisfactory. The crowds were overwhelming and the waitresses seemed completely overwhelmed and uninterested in our needs. In order to even get drinks we had to get the waiter's attention, which was already an awkward start. The starters, including gyoza, fried sushi rolls and edamame, were quite tasty but couldn't cover up the deficiencies of the main courses. Unfortunately, all of the chicken dishes were absolutely inedible. A single bite was enough to detect an unpleasantly strong aroma and a disgusting taste, which caused immediate nausea. After we reported this to the waitress, an apology was made, but no appropriate "compensation" was offered. The cramped conditions in the dining room and the deafening volume, comparable to a train station, made any attempt at conversation almost impossible. The overall experience was disappointing and we have no intention of visiting this restaurant again. Unfortunately, considering the lack of attention from the staff, the inedible main courses and the unpleasant atmosphere, we cannot recommend the Kanzan restaurant.

Had dinner there with friends last night, including sushi and plated meals. We've had stomach pains since yesterday evening. Given the price and the small portions, which is very cheeky, we won't be entering the restaurant again. It's a shame it used to be better

Ich war schon paar mal bei Kanzan, bin jedesmal zufrieden gewesen. Restaurant ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. Die Speisen schmecken gut und sehen sehr appetitlich aus. Preis ist auch in Ordnung.

Die Bedienung war unfreundlich und desinteressiert, das Essen höchstens durchschnittlich. Kein Interesse am Kunden, außer dass er Geld für die Mahlzeit hinterlässt.

Ich bin ja Restaurants, welche Asian Fusion Küche anbieten, eher skeptisch gegenüber eingestellt. Daher war das Kanzan auch nicht meine erste Wahl. Da wir jedoch als kleine Gruppe unterwegs waren und in unserem ursprünglichen Ziel keinen Platz bekommen haben, sind wir dann doch hier gelandet. Was sich dann durchaus als Glücksgriff herausgestellt hat, denn bei meinem Besuch im Kanzan hat alles gepasst. Der Service freundlich, schnell und Aufmerksam. Die Einrichtung ist gemütlich und man sollte sich auch nicht davon abschrecken lassen, wenn an den Tischen im Eingangsbereich niemand sitzt. Der eigentliche Gastraum ist weiter hinten und der war bei unserem Besuch gut gefüllt. Die Karte bietet eine große Auswahl an veganen und vegetarischen Gerichten, was mir absolut entgegenkommt. Als großer Erdnuss-Fan wähle ich Peanut Curry. Welches geschmacklich wirklich gut war und auch die Portionsgröße ist mehr als ausreichend. Preis-Leistung meines Erachtens sehr gut! Bei meinem nächsten Besuch in Lippstadt komme ich bestimmt wieder hier vorbei.

Das Kanzan ist ein relativ neues Restaurant in der Stadtmitte. Es ist vietnamesisch angehaucht mit anderer fusion Küche. Der Stil ist für Lippstadt was besonderes und das Essen gut. Ein wenig mehr Authentizität wäre super, vor allem bei der Pho * Kurzes Update ergeben nur noch 3 Sterne da die Qualität der Speisen unglaublich schwankend ist. Die Ente war wirklich zäh, die Saucen wässrig. Mitarbeiter trotzdem toll!

Sehr außergewöhnlich. Man sollte sich ausreichend Zeit nehmen um die Speisekarte zu verstehen um das perfekte Menü zu finden.

Der Lieferservice ist leider nicht zu empfehlen. Bei 50 Sushirollen bekamen wir gerade mal 4 Päckchen Sojasauce...also mussten wir die Hälfte der Bestellung trocken essen. Die Rollen hatten die Hälfte der Größe wie man sie bei Kanzan im Restaurant bekommt. Fazit, nicht nochmal!

Also das Sushi an sich ist lecker, aber der Preis für die Deluxe Platte die ich hatte mit 60€ war utopisch für das was man erhalten hat.Ich bin damit selber nur satt geworden.Außerdem besteht die Platte zur Hälfte aus billigen Surimi.Die Pho war auch nicht so der burner.Im Schnitt ein solides Restaurant mit schlechtem Preis Leistungsverhältnis.

Ich hatte kürzlich das Vergnügen, das Restaurant zu besuchen und war rundum begeistert. Das Essen, insbesondere die Yuki Udon, war einfach fantastisch. Die Nudeln waren perfekt zubereitet, mit einer herrlich herzhaften Brühe und frischen Zutaten, die jedem Bissen eine köstliche Note verliehen haben. Die Portion war großzügig und sättigend. Auch der Service verdient Lob. Das Personal war äußerst freundlich, aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Sie nahmen sich Zeit, um alle Fragen zu beantworten und gaben sogar Empfehlungen, die meine kulinarische Erfahrung bereichert haben.

Sehr überrascht über die Qualität und die Service hier. Bin eine Vietnamese deswegen kontrolliere ich ganz strengend, ob die Gerichte original schmecken. Und ja wurde ich nicht enttäuscht , absolut empfehlenswert.

Essen war wirklich gut. Der Service leider nur durchschnittlich. Ambiente ist OK aber nichts besonderes (Plastik Pflanzen und Plastik Bambus Imitat muss wirklich nicht sein).

War ein echt schöner Abend. Wir waren zu 4 ohne Reservierung. Hat gut geklappt. Die Preise sind echt ok. Das Sushi war sehr gut, schön angerichtet. Ich Feier es wenn es nicht so all you can eat mäßig einfach auf den Teller geklatscht wird. Der Service war freundlich aber wenig zu sehen. Man musste teilweise echt warten bis man was nachbestellen konnte. Das Ambiente passt, man fühlt sich sehr wohl

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Abend im Kanzan mit einem wirklich köstlichen Sushi. Egal, welche Variante, alles frisch und schön angerichtet. Die anderen Gerichte sahen ebenfalls super aus. Wir werden definitiv bald wiederkommen.

Wir haben uns zu Zweit eine Sushiplatte bestellt. Diese war sehr leccke und schön angerichtet. Das Restaurant war gut gefüllt, aber die Wartezeit hielt sich trotzdem in Grenzen, was das Servicepersonal wohl anders sah und sich mehrfach bei uns entschuldigte. Auch die besonderen Getränke sind sehr zu empfehlen. Wir hatten auf jeden Fall einen schönen Abend und kommen gerne wieder.

Loved the atmosphere there. Great food and service. Reduced one star ‘cause I didn’t quite like the drinks. Some of the drinks we ordered lacked flavor. But overall it’s an awesome place to enjoy good food and relax.
