One of my favorite restaurants 😍 always absolutely top-notch... small menu but the best quality and best value for money.

We wanted to try something new and we really enjoyed it. Perhaps check out the menu online beforehand to see if the offer appeals to you.

The food was absolutely delicious; we had four tasty appetizers and an equally delicious dessert. The service was very friendly and the atmosphere was cozy. Highly recommended.

During a business trip to Düsseldorf, we ended up at Kitchen restaurant — a bit by accident, as we initially planned to dine at the place across the street, but our driver directed us here instead. It turned out to be a great choice! The food was delicious, and the staff were friendly and attentive. A really nice spot for a dinner with a group.

We were really looking forward to try the food but if, when you reserve a table for 3 adults, you find it unacceptable to be seated on a table for 2 (small square table) with an extra chair, especially when there’s still a table for 4 people available and when there’s at least a group of 3 people already sitting on a 4-people table (as it should normally be), then this restaurant is not for you. There’s not much more to say as - needless to say - we didn’t have dinner here due to such “dubious” business (or waiter, I don’t know) option.

This was my first time here and I was thrilled. It was very busy and the staff was understaffed, but that didn't detract from the service at all. The menu was small but adequate. The food was really good, although the dessert wasn't quite my cup of tea. I highly recommend the roast beef.

This is our third visit to The Kitchen Düsseldorf, and we've been absolutely delighted every time. The food is simply unbelievably delicious – you can immediately tell that great importance is placed on quality and fresh ingredients. The service is always friendly and attentive, which makes the visit even more enjoyable. For us, this is one of the best restaurants in Düsseldorf – we'll definitely be back!

Frankly, we were surprised that we found such good quality for the moderate prices: the food, the wine, and the service were all top-notch. Not as high-quality as Le Flair around the corner, nor as exclusive as the nearby The Classic Western Steakhouse – probably the neighboring Reef and Beef Steakhouse & Seafood is also a bit higher in quality, but also two price brackets higher. In this culinary quadrangle, The Kitchen Düsseldorf certainly earns the "best value for money" seal of approval. The feel-good factor is rounded out by the very good and attentive service. We noticed that even the staff who normally work in the background, such as clearing plates, were very interested in how satisfied we were. We found that very accommodating. The description of the good to very good dishes is coming soon, because first, the real highlight must be mentioned. And at The Kitchen Düsseldorf, that is undoubtedly the wine list! While I can only speak for the red wines, the selection of wines by the glass and bottles here is very good. It's well-rounded in terms of both the range of flavors and the pricing. I really liked that the red wines are served relatively warm. This may also be due to the warm weather, but upon inquiry, I was confirmed that red wines here are best enjoyed warm. This may seem strange, perhaps disparaging, to a wine connoisseur, but my simple personal opinion is that I can better appreciate the body and character of a warmer red wine than if it comes from the chiller. The testers from the Michelin Guide probably deduct a star here – I thought it was very good. For my starter, I had the very cleverly presented artichoke hearts with basil pesto, although one or two were a bit chewy, which led to a slight downgrade. Overall, the starter was excellent and, even for me as a gourmand, large enough to soften my appetite for the main course. While the selection of starters is still numerous and, above all, very diverse, the main courses at The Kitchen focus on pasta, two seafood dishes, and one roast beef dish. My taglioline with prawns was really very good. The pasta – Italian style – still had a bit of a bite, and the prawns and sauce were very flavorful. I can't say for sure whether it was a reduction or coulis, but it tasted fantastically of basil with depth. At my neighbor's, I was able to try the same tagliatelle pasta, only with truffle butter, which didn't really blow me away. Truffles in a restaurant always seem to be a difficult task. It was by no means a disappointment, but it wasn't a highlight either. However, that was clearly evident from the visual appearance of the fish plate al la Kitchen (yes, it said "al la" on the menu – I don't know if that's wrong, but it looks like it). The two of them certainly enjoyed it, because the plate was completely empty, despite a generous portion. For dessert, I wanted a mousse – the menu called it "Chocolate Mousse with Caramel Sauce & Cocoa Crumble" – but I wanted it without any frills, and the kitchen was able to accommodate my request for a plain chocolate mousse and served me two delicious spoonfuls. My table neighbor ordered a chichi mousse and was happily noodled afterward. After a few tonics, we went to the left side of the interior, where we also felt very comfortable. Uber rounded off a very successful evening. Absolutely recommended value for money in a lovely atmosphere and with excellent service!

I had a really good time at this place. The food was fresh and nicely presented, especially the breakfast options, which were both tasty and filling. Prices are not low but fair for what you get. I would go again, especially for a slow morning or brunch with friends.

The flavors were truly delicious and well-balanced. While the visual presentation could use some improvement, the taste definitely made up for it. The service from the staff was excellent – friendly, attentive, and professional. Overall, a very enjoyable experience.

A culinary highlight in Düsseldorf! I was absolutely thrilled with my visit to The Kitchen. From the moment you enter, you receive a warm welcome and immediately feel at home – a perfect blend of stylish ambiance and relaxed atmosphere. The food was spot on: creative, sophisticated, and prepared with great attention to detail. Each course was an experience in itself – delicious and a visual eye-catcher. I would particularly like to highlight the "Penne Al Arrabiata with roasted US roast beef strips" – the meat was tender as butter and perfectly seasoned. The service was also impeccable: attentive, friendly, and yet pleasantly unobtrusive. You can tell that these are professionals who are passionate about what they do. Visited the kitchen for the first time yesterday, and it was absolutely delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed everything. Thank you.

We ate here with our team and were looking forward to a lovely evening. Unfortunately, neither the service nor the kitchen met our expectations. The service was generally very inattentive: Empty plates sat on the table for over 30 minutes and were only partially cleared. Glasses and empty bottles weren't cleared at all. After our meal, no one asked if we wanted anything else to drink – even though we were there for over three hours – so you can avoid losing revenue. In some cases, food and drinks were even served behind our backs through a window, which seemed a bit odd. After waiting more than an hour (the restaurant was half full on a Thursday evening), the dishes arrived lukewarm. It's especially unfortunate that the steak wasn't even asked how we'd like it; it simply came to the table medium rare. Unfortunately, I forgot to mention this myself. The food itself also didn't offer the right value for money for us: Three small pieces of sashimi for just under €20 or a fish plate for €36 with an octopus arm, some salmon, and a few frozen shrimp are quite ambitious. The "cheesecake" turned out to be lemon cream with ladyfingers and had little in common with a classic cheesecake. After asking if everything was okay and we replied "so-so," the waiter turned on his heel and turned to the other table. Wow. All in all, the evening was disappointing. At these prices, one would expect more care and attention.

Yesterday's meal was an absolute disappointment – ​​in every respect. Apparently, the chef had changed, and unfortunately not for the better. I won't even get into the prices or portion sizes – that's irrelevant to this experience. The plates were carelessly presented and looked simply unappetizing. The so-called "risotto" was a disgrace. The rice was completely raw – hard, grainy, and inedible. It had nothing to do with "al dente," but was simply undercooked. The two pasta dishes tasted bland and uninspired – like something from an average fast food joint. Any amateur cook could do better. So why charge €21.50 for such a boring, bland pasta dish? The beef – whether in the pasta, the appetizer, or the main course – was consistently tough and difficult to chew. For a restaurant of this standard, and with prices of €30 for a main course or €16.50 for a starter, this is simply unacceptable. The service was also abysmal: slow, inattentive, and forgetful. We sat at our table for ten minutes without anyone coming to clean up the mess, glasses, bottle, and spilled water left by the previous guest. An absolute no-go. What annoys me most, however, is that I wholeheartedly recommended this restaurant to my friends – based on previous, very positive experiences. Everyone was looking forward to a great evening, but the result was pure disappointment. This shouldn't happen in a renowned restaurant.

We were there today with our children. As restaurateurs ourselves, we know what's important. The food was delicious, well-seasoned—just a pinch of salt was missing, but that was absolutely perfect, as everyone's tastes differ. The service was spot-on, incredibly friendly, attentive, and relaxed despite the terrace being full (which isn't usual). The wine was just right, the dessert was delicious, and the espresso at the end rounded it all off! All in all, a very cool experience and I would recommend it anytime!

Interesting menu, we wanted to try at least half of the dishes and it was hard to choose. The mains in current menu were somewhat limited (one chicken and one salmon), so we went for mixture of starters and pasta. All was beautifully presented and full of flavours. The drinks menu is a bit limited for those not consuming alcohol, but they can make non-alco Hugo. Would be great to have some dealcoholized wine too.

We had a dinner date with friends - unfortunately it was a rather mixed experience overall here in The Kitchen. As a starter I had the pork belly croquettes, which tasted quite good. However, I found three small croquettes for €15.50 to be quite steep. But I found the idea itself interesting. For the main course I had a carbonara, which unfortunately wasn't convincing either. It seemed carelessly prepared and tasted pretty bland. Overall, the food was okay, but by no means outstanding. No one at the table was really impressed or thought their food was “wow”. It was OK for all of us - but just not good enough for the prices quoted. However, what was really disappointing was the service. Sometimes we had to wait up to 30 minutes for drinks or salt & pepper - and that only after asking the various waiters several times. Nobody came to the table to ask for more drinks, even though the glasses were long empty. You had to proactively try to find a waiter to be able to order something. Overall, the service could clearly be improved. What should be highlighted positively, however, is the atmosphere in The Kitchen: nice ambience, comfortable seating - both inside and outside.

Unfortunately we didn't like it at all in this restaurant. Given the above-average prices, we expected quality, but we got significantly less. 1. Atmosphere: Absolute no-go! Instead of relaxing and enjoying the stylish furnishings and pleasant music, we ended up in the middle of the owner's chaotic family celebration. There were children everywhere, constantly running or standing around our table, loud screaming - it felt more like you were visiting an extended family than in a restaurant. There were even bags and family belongings scattered everywhere (see photo). 2. Bar: Virtually no non-alcoholic options! If you don't want to drink alcohol, you're out of luck here. The non-alcoholic beer is on the list, but has not been available for days. 3. Food: The selection is extremely limited! There wasn't a single fish option, just one steak option, and there were only 6 main course options in total! The taste was okay, but definitely nothing special. The dessert (ice cream) was not at all tasty and tasted like cheap ice cream from Netto, even though it cost a whopping 11 euros. 4. The only plus point: The service was good, the waiters friendly and attentive.

Where can you really eat well? Right here. Went here for the first time and weren't disappointed at all. Very appealing atmosphere, extremely friendly service and excellent food. We ate tagliolini with truffles and risotto. Simply enjoyable. The scent of the truffle butter alone was a poem. Will definitely and happily come back.

We were here on a Friday evening and had reserved in advance. First of all, it was great that you could park a few meters away and then simply pay for it with the bill at the restaurant. Really practical. The reception was super friendly and the service was always there. The atmosphere is just ultra cozy. I really liked it. The food came very quickly and was consistently delicious: the croquettes, the burrata and especially the taglioline were fresh, beautifully prepared and tasted very good. The price is a little high. Only card payment possible. We had a lovely evening here!

The food is outstanding and the waiters are friendly and accommodating. I thought it was a bit of a shame that we were sent out in a relatively unfriendly manner in the winter because we were there about 10 minutes before the reservation. Of course it's understandable that we can't get the space yet, but they could have made us wait inside.

Everything in “The kitchen” was very harmonious - the food was visually promising. Both the starter, main course and dessert tasted very sophisticated and were simply delicious. The service was very attentive, friendly and accommodating. When designing the restaurant, you can tell that many good ideas were implemented to create a feel-good atmosphere. Also worth mentioning is the music underlines the atmosphere and at a pleasant volume. It's worth spending an evening here - we'd love to come back!

When you enter The Kitchen you immediately feel welcome. The interior combines modern elegance with cozy accents - from the perfectly lit tables to the stylish details on the walls. The restaurant manages to provide an atmosphere that is equally suitable for a relaxed dinner with friends as for special occasions. The play with warm colors, high-quality materials and subtle lighting installations shows that great value is placed on aesthetics here. The team at The Kitchen knows how to pamper guests. The waiters were not only polite and attentive, but also extremely competent when it came to explaining the menu. Questions about ingredients or recommendations were answered with a matter-of-factness that shows professionalism. What was particularly impressive was how quickly and smoothly the service ran without seeming rushed. A big compliment to the friendly and courteous staff. I chose the salmon LR ceviche with coriander and coconut tiger milk. The fresh acidity of the tiger's milk harmonized perfectly with the tenderness of the salmon. The hint of coriander and the light coconut note created an exotic taste experience that immediately made you want more. The presentation was a work of art in itself - every detail on the plate was carefully thought out. For the main course I chose the taglioline with truffle butter and Italian black truffles. A dish that combines elegance and taste. The homemade pasta was cooked al dente, and the truffle butter gave the dish a luxurious, earthy depth. The generous slices of truffle topped the whole thing off, while a touch of Parmesan rounded out the flavor. This dish alone is a reason to come back. The evening ended with the homemade apple dream with vanilla ice cream – and it lived up to its name. The warm, delicately caramelized apple was perfectly complemented by the creaminess of the vanilla ice cream. The balance between sweetness and freshness made the dessert a wonderful end to the meal. The house's wine recommendation was a hit. The dry white wine that the sommelier recommended went perfectly with the flavors of the starter and main course. The selection of wines is impressive and the advice showed that professionals are at work here. You quickly notice that there are passionate professionals behind The Kitchen. The operators seem to place great emphasis on quality, hospitality and a consistent philosophy that runs through the entire experience. Special praise goes to the chefs: their attention to detail and mastery of the culinary art are reflected in every plate. You can feel that the cooking here is done with heart and soul. Conclusion: The Kitchen is a culinary highlight in Düsseldorf that should not be missed. From the first-class menu to the warm service to the harmonious ambience, this restaurant impresses across the board. Unfortunately the food wasn't to my taste. The risotto didn't really convince me. I thought it was a little too sour. One dish even came to the table cold. The service wasn't as friendly as you'd like either. The sour note was a bit too strong in the risotto. The pasta with truffles doesn't taste good either. They were, on the whole, more than tasteless. The noodles simply lacked the Pepe. They just had no taste. It should have been a little warmer. Unfortunately, the service couldn't brighten the experience. The overall taste was too one-sided. Maybe it just wasn't my day. I can't understand the good reviews. As you can see from my profile, I really enjoy eating out and eating well very often. I would never go here again. We spoke to the waitress and the owner accordingly. Respectively with the boss. When we expressed our opinion about the food, we were treated rudely. The food would taste like that here and that would be the dish and everyone would like it We didn't have to pay for one meal. We would have to pay half of the other one. Afterwards I didn't feel good in this restaurant and I also found the service very aggressive.

We celebrated a special occasion there and were able to enjoy everything from the cremant to the cocktail. We were allowed to try the open wines so that everyone got what they liked. The food was very tasty, especially the starters. All in all it was a great evening!

The reservation went smoothly via the homepage and a call back with an appointment followed very quickly. Arrived on time, was shown straight to a table and everything else was short and compact: the food, starter and main course, was delicate and very good in every respect. Wine also great. The service was also very convincing: friendly, attentive and hard-working. What brings everything in and down a bit is the unbelievable volume in the upstairs dining room when all the seats are occupied. If you don't want to join in with everyone else's shouting, it's hard to have a meaningful conversation. Nothing, but it is one of the very good kitchens in Düsseldorf-Pempelfort.
