The food tastes sensational, the portions are large and the value for money is absolutely fine. The service is perfect, very fast and attentive! An absolute top address in Düsseldorf! We'd love to come back! Card payment only. I actually only know cash payments. So taxes are also paid here :-)

We went to the Kitchen today, but unfortunately we were all disappointed. We paid €50 per person, but for that you get much better food and a nicer atmosphere in Düsseldorf. The presentation of the food is very good. And the service generally makes an effort, but the sea bream with teriyaki sauce for the starter was oversalted and the corn-fed chicken for the main course was no more than average. A small highlight was the chard salad. We won't be coming back. Edit in response to owner: The €50 refers to the price after tips. I didn't compare The Kitchen with a pizzeria, but with other places in the similar mid-price segment - I wouldn't call that an investment either. I also don't know why we have to or should give joint reviews. My wife is also allowed to express a different opinion than me. The waiter asked us how we liked the starter and I pointed out to him that I thought the sea bream and red cabbage were too salty. I think he took it well, but unfortunately nothing more followed. Therefore, the suggestion that we could have said something on site unfortunately leads to nothing. If you have any further questions or I can clarify any misunderstandings, I would be happy to do so. My feedback should - as correctly recognized - be constructive. As a guest, you would also like the tone to be a little friendlier in response to my review.

What can I say!? I had the honor of celebrating my 40th birthday at The Kitchen. We were a group of 20 people and had a separate area where we could fully enjoy the evening. The location, the service and the food were absolutely amazing. I can only recommend everyone to stop by and enjoy The Kitchen!

Came with a dog without a reservation, great service, incredibly friendly and quick to serve. First had drinks, very good!!! No run-of-the-mill dishes, always a good twist in the food. Had fried artichoke and a risotto with chanterelles… a dream!!! We'll definitely be back! Thank you for the lovely evening ❤️

We were convinced to go to this restaurant by the beautiful ambience, the great Google images of the food and the great reviews. Unfortunately we were a bit disappointed with the evening. The presentation of the food was great. However, the taste was only okay to good. Unfortunately, for €50 with a starter, main course and a glass of water, we weren't full and weren't satisfied either. Too bad.

We are thrilled… the attention to detail and the outstanding compositions. An incredibly comfortable atmosphere. Between fine dining and eating with friends. Everything you would expect from an outstanding evening and more. ☺️

We were there for a birthday dinner. The service was a disaster! We had to wait about 30 minutes for each order. Every time we tried to get the waiters attention, they always said "just a minute" and proceed to take orders from new customers. I think we waited about 40 minutes just to get the first course. Some of us had no knives, others had no cutlery at all . It was always a fight to order, let alone being asked if we need anything or if everything was okay. There are just too many tables to wait and the kitchen capacity doesn't seem to be able to cope with the demand. The food is also very mediocre for these prices. I have never seen such a dry risotto in my life, it was more of a rice dish than a proper risotto. It's simply not enough to show quality by putting a foam-sauce on most of the dishes, the ingredients also have to harmonise , which for us wasn't the case. Overall, we had a pretty bad experience and will definitely not be back.

A wonderful restaurant! The warmth of the employees is outstanding. The guest feels that he is welcome. The menu is sufficient and everyone will find what they are looking for in the starters and main courses. There doesn't always have to be 10 pages to choose from. The Brioche Royal was perfectly flavored and every single component was outstanding! That leaves you wanting more! The US roast beef came medium as ordered and here too the kitchen impressed with the aromatic balance of the components. Highly Recommended! The rosé wine chosen was light and the bread served was fresh and crispy. All in all, a successful evening with outstanding food and warmth.

An incredibly sweet and romantic restaurant/wine bar. The cuisine is modern, creative and international and places particular emphasis on the presentation of the dishes. Here every dish is simply unique and the eye eats with it! We had a starter, main course and dessert and everything was incredibly tasty and fresh. When you enter the kitchen, you are greeted by a romantic atmosphere bathed in candlelight - incredibly sweet and inviting. Lovingly designed interiors with an eye for detail make the evening perfect & of course there is the perfect wine recommendation. We completely fell in love with the place and have been coming here regularly since the first time and have never been disappointed! Very big recommendation🍷

I was there for the first time about 2 months ago and then visited the restaurant three times again. I always tried different dishes and always loved them. The service is also very attentive and extremely nice. The atmosphere is rather relaxed, which I like very much. Will be one of my new regulars :)

The location is really cool, the service was also very nice and attentive and the wine list is really good. However, the food was rather disappointing. The octopus as a main course was really good, but the penne arrabiata with roast beef was a complete disappointment. No spiciness, boring tomato sauce, plus 3 small slices of meat and all for €25. The starter of broccoli salad with Asian dressing and radish was a joke. Three florets of broccoli with a bit of salad, some mustard dressing (nothing Asian) was incredibly boring and at 13.50 it was just outrageous. Starter of scallops was okay, but the taste was rather boring. For the price level, I expect exciting dishes that really convince you. Unfortunately they don't exist here.

We were there for the second time and were impressed by everyone again. Food very tasty. Ambience great even if it is loud at times. As always, the service was friendly and competent.

Great restaurant in Düsseldorf. Good food and good selection of drinks. We had three different starters and main courses: pork belly, salmon tartare and the fried artichoke and then fried mackerel, taglioline with truffle and taglioline. I recommend the restaurant to everyone, but it is just too loud in the restaurant. The acoustics are so bad, you can't talk to each other. This is a shame. Hang a few acoustic ceiling elements on the ceiling or get help. You can do this.

Stopped here again, nice, sometimes somewhat unusual selection of dishes on the constantly changing menu. High quality cuisine that knows how to use the products very well. At one point or another There was a lack of spices in the starters, but it was still delicious. Great, friendly and fast service.

We had dinner here. The service was friendly and attentive. We really enjoyed the starters (Label Rouge salmon tartare with cucumber, dill, ginger & mustard caviar and burrata with berry fruit puree with fried capers & pine nuts). The main course (truffled Penne Bolognese from US roast beef and roasted saddle of veal fried in sea urchin butter on potato cream, flageolets, root vegetables, fried onions & jus) was okay. Not all the tables were occupied and yet it was so unpleasantly loud in the restaurant that it was difficult to have a conversation. It's a shame, we had hoped for more.

We ate there with 8 people. All dishes were very fresh and prepared with a certain sophistication. Really delicious! Plus a really good selection of wines, a great team and an appealing ambience. What more do you want. A clear recommendation for all Düsseldorf residents and visitors to Düsseldorf who are looking for a really good location.

The restaurant was recommended to us by friends and we have loved eating there ever since. The restaurant has a very cool and somewhat rustic look, especially the "newly" expanded area. The food is fresh and very tasty, and the menu changes regularly. This means you can always try something new. The waiters are very nice and competent. Great atmosphere and we look forward to it every time.

Wer bei toller Atmosphäre lecker essen möchte, ist hier richtig! Tolle Getränkekarte mit großer Auswahl! Der Service war sehr nett und hat uns super beraten! Wir kommen wieder 😍

Leider kann ich mich den positiven Bewertungen nicht anschließen. Die Vorspeise: für 14-16 Euro zu teuer für „so la la“; leider kein Gaumenfeuerwerk, das Lust auf mehr macht. Hauptgang: Die Trüffel-Pasta waren Milch-Nudeln ohne abgeschmeckt zu sein, leider nichts von einer Trüffel-Butter-Parmesan-Note. Die Nudeln lagen sehr schwer im Magen. Der Service: Wenn um kurz nach Lokalöffnung ein Hauptgericht aus ist, kann das passieren. Wenn man sich dann für ein anderes Gericht entscheidet und von der Kellnerin ein „okay wie Du meinst hört“ - puh. Keine Beratung, kein guten Appetit, das ist kein Service Ich hätte mir gewünscht, wenn es nur ein einziges alkoholfreies Getränk gegeben hätte, das auch zum Essen passt (nein, kein Softdrink). Es ist 2024 und dry January und einen alkoholfreien Wein oder Bier kann man durchaus auf der Karte haben. Für mehr als 100 Euro für 2 Personen deutlich zu teuer für ein Essen, das ich selber besser kochen kann.

Auf Empfehlung;) Und wir wurden nicht enttäuscht .Sehr netter Service. Küche Top . Karte Klein aber dafür Qualitativ sehr gut .Eine schöne Auswahl an Weinen. Fazit: Preis Leistung Passt . Das ist unsere Erfahrung;)

It was a group of 5 and we ordered 4 appetizers and 4 mains. The portion was small so we were able to try many dishes. Very nice service and great food!

Wir waren vor Kurzem in dem Restaurant und die zwei Sterne habe ich dem Essen vergeben, was wirklich lecker war. Allerdings haben der Service und das Ambiente sehr negativ abgeschnitten. Wir hatten kurzfristig angerufen und haben für 3 Personen reserviert. Wir haben zunächst draußen gesessen und wurden gebeten zu warten bis ein Tisch drinnen frei wird (es war recht kühl). Irgendwann kam die Kellnerin und sagte uns, dass zwar ein Tisch frei sei, dieser aber für 3 Personen relativ eng sein würde. Da eine Freundin hochschwanger ist, haben wir besonders aufgrund der Aussage der Kellnerin erwähnt, dass wir dann lieber noch etwas warten möchten. Ein wenig später kam der Besitzer, spreizte seine Arme auf den Tisch, was schon sehr übergriffig wirkte, und sagte uns vorwurfsvoll, dass wir doch selbst den Tisch abgelehnt hätten. Wir haben den Besitzer zunächst auf seine unkorrekte Art hingewiesen und ihm erklärt, dass wir den Tisch abgelehnt haben, weil die Kellnerin selbst gesagt hat, dass die Sitzmöglichkeit sehr eng sein wird und wir eine Schwangere unter uns haben. Eine aufrichtige Entschuldigung blieb leider aus. Wir haben schließlich drinnen einen Tisch bekommen. Allerdings muss ich zwei weitere Sachen negativ ansprechen. Zum einen kam das Besteck (bereits als wir noch draußen saßen) sehr dreckig an. An dem Besteck waren noch Essensreste dran und das darf nicht passieren. Der Kellner hat sich hierfür auch entschuldigt. Ein großes Problem an dem Restaurant ist aber auch die Lautstärke. Da man leider an keine Schalldämpfer gedacht hat, hört man sein eigenes Wort nicht. Wir konnten uns kaum unterhalten und hatten nachher schreckliche Kopfschmerzen. Auch ist das Mobiliar zwar modern gedacht, aber für ein Restaurant sehr unbequem. Schade für das gute Essen, denn der Service und das Ambiente haben ein negatives Licht darauf geworfen.

Hübsch angerichtete und originelle Speisen in freundlichem Ambiente draußen. Das Fenchel-Risotto ist aller Ehren wert! Zwei Vorspeisen wären eine Alternative. Ansonsten schaue ich mal, was sich auf der Speisekarte tut.

Gehobenes Bistro-Style-Essen war sehr lecker. Leider der Service (für uns wohl eine Aushilfe zuständig) etwas rustikal und zwischen Hauptgang und Nachtisch 45min. Nachtisch haben wir auch erst auf Anfrage bestellen können :/ schade Schokolade. Sowas hinterlässt leider ein Geschmäckle…

Super Essen, tolle Auswahl an Getränken und sehr nettes Personal. Jederzeit gerne wieder. Wir sind begeistert. Weiter so!

Nett. Gute Speisen, die unglaublich schön angerichtet werden. Dazu wirklich schöne Location. Innen wie außen sehr stylisch. Und auch noch gutes Personal. Aber preislich..... Ein 0.15er Glas Wein ab 7.90€. Mit 2 davon und großem Wasser sowie 3. Vorspeisen waren wir bei mehr als 69€. Schon teuer, deswegen nur 4 Sterne.

The Kitchen Düsseldorf- fantastisches Restaurant und Institution in Pempelforf. Jedes Gericht von jedem Gang auf den Punkt. Noch zu erwähne eine tolle Weinkarte dazu . Ein rundum gelungener Abend, Ganz wichtig zu erwähnen: Fabian war unser Kellner und hat wirklich keine Wünsche offen gelassen. Immer freundlich und hochprofessionell. Gerne immer wieder.
