Lovely atmosphere… We arrived on a weekday evening when it was still relatively empty. The restaurant gradually filled up. We received friendly service, and the sushi was beautifully presented and delicious. The service was friendly and efficient. The only slight drawback was that we weren't asked if we wanted to order anything else. However, we were promptly brought fresh drinks when we asked, so it wasn't a big deal.

The food there is delicious! Everything was very fresh. We'd love to come back; it's worth it! See you next time!

We ate there late in the afternoon. The service was very attentive and friendly. We had appetizers, sushi, and a platter. Everything was beautifully presented and delicious. Unfortunately, they only accept cash payments, but we didn't see any sign of that anywhere. It's not great, of course, when you have to rush to the nearest ATM.

This is my third time there and I'm always impressed by the amazing dishes. The starter, main course, and dessert were all delicious. I'd love to come back.

I’ve been to most of the sushi restaurants in Cologne… and this place definitely has its own character! The texture and cut of the salmon—both on the nigiri and atop the rolls—were spot on. The avocado was sweet and flavorful, and the spring onion blended in nicely. The flying fish roe added a pleasant pop on the tongue, but what stood out most for me was the earthy flavor of the lotus root on top. I couldn't quite pinpoint it, but it’s not a taste you often come across in Europe. I would like to visit again to figure out what the flavor was. We tried different variations of sushi. - Salmon Queen - M2 Veggie Menu - Crunchy with tuna and avocado/cucumber. You could taste the fresh ingredients. Everything was delicious. Since we were there on a Sunday lunchtime, we were the only customers and were served very quickly. I found the price a bit above average.

We'd be happy to come back. Both times we were seated without having to wait. The homemade iced tea is delicious, as is the sushi.

A very nice restaurant. The interior is extremely tastefully chosen. But let's get to the more important part of the review. We ordered edamame, vegetarian gyoza, and chicken karaage. Incredibly delicious. The karaage was the best I've ever eaten. Very tasty breading and good quality. For sushi, we ordered the Buddha Roll, the Sake Roll, Absolute Tuna, and the Salmon Queen. I actually can't say which sushi we liked best. Top quality! My personal new number 1 in Cologne. Thank you very much.

The service was really top-notch. Super friendly and super helpful. But I thought I was coming to a cozy little place. The food looked better to me than it actually tasted. The portions were also quite small, so neither I nor my companion were full. The prices are really high, though. They either need more food on their plates or the prices need to be lowered. And honestly: No card payments? That's just not an option for me anymore. Value for money? Unfortunately, not. It's not right for me.

It was a truly memorable experience. The ambiance and service were excellent. The food was wonderful. Fresh, well-coordinated, and superbly presented. I'll be back.

We were very disappointed with Miyu's Finest Selection. We found the €60 for this dish for two people to be disproportionately expensive for a modest portion with relatively little fish. Unfortunately, the sushi tasted mediocre; the wasabi and ginger were bland. The friendly service and the pleasant beer garden couldn't make up for the food. In the future, we'd rather go to other sushi restaurants in Ehrenfeld.

Due not least to the fact that it always seems to be fully booked, the seating is quite cramped and it can be quite loud at times. Neither of these things changes the fact that I'll definitely be back again and again!

We've been to Miyu several times and always enjoy coming back. The Miyu Yaki (vegetarian) was delicious. The homemade iced tea is also highly recommended. :)

All the dishes we tried were exceptionally well-prepared and lovingly prepared. The attention to detail is evident here, and no shortcuts are taken. First “experience” with sushi was a complete success. The detail was on good ingredients and limited “satisfiers” like rice. Great selection in different sizes/quantities, warm and cold. Very attractively prepared and presented in an extremely friendly manner. A nice experience.

I wanted to spend a nice evening there with my wife for Mother's Day. Despite reservations, we were able to watch as every single table that arrived after us received food because our order was lost. However, as soon as the error became known, I would have expected that our order, which was now 1.5 hours old, would be given priority. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. Incredible...

I was looking for a sushi restaurant for our trip to Cologne and came across Miyu thanks to the good reviews. We had reserved online and were seated on the terrace. For starters we had chicken kaarage and the fried spring rolls. Afterwards we tested our way through the sushi and all the rolls and sashimi were great. We particularly liked Salmon Queen and Tornado. The only negative point: you can only pay in cash.

We went to Miyu to celebrate my birthday, just the two of us. The place is small and cozy, there is an open kitchen with a sushi bar, the personell is very friendly and nice. Here are a few notes: (+) Really fresh fish (+) Friendly staff (+) Nice atmosphere (-) It was way too hot and smelled significantly like fish (-) We had to wait 10-15 minutes for our table, even though we had a booking (-) Pricy

Food itself average to good with very high prices. The main thing is that the boss parks his white, tuned, lowered Mercedes with wide tires in front of the door... only cash payment 😉

A really well-equipped little restaurant with a hip flair and good sushi creations. There wasn't a wow experience in terms of taste, but everything was nicely prepared and fresh. Unfortunately the service didn't match the rest at all! We made reservations for 4 people and arrived 10 minutes early. At first we weren't noticed or greeted at the door at all. When we called attention to ourselves and brought up the reservation, there was a shrug and "You'll have to wait." That was all. So we stood around in the entrance for another 20 minutes. Finally arriving at the table, after another 25 minutes we asked if we could order. So far no one has even asked for drinks. In addition to the food, we first ordered wine and water for the entire table. Unfortunately, those were the only drinks that evening. Unless you actively ask for the service, you won't get any here. I thought that was a shame, especially because the restaurant otherwise really made a great impression. Of course, a lot of potential sales are lost as a result. The service still has a lot of room for improvement.

We were there on Valentine's Day and unfortunately we weren't that thrilled. We sat at one of the tables right at the entrance. People from delivery services or people waiting for a table were constantly coming in. The restaurant was very full and the entrance area was very small, so it was rather uncomfortable when the door was opening all the time and people were waiting right next to the table in wet jackets, half hanging on the table. The food came very quickly, unfortunately the drinks didn't come until much later. The sushi was fresh and delicious. It was probably due to the day and the location of the table, but it didn't feel like "spending the evening comfortably" but more like "eating in a rush and then leaving". That was a shame for the price.

The taste of the food was excellent, especially the sushi was very tasty. Unfortunately the portion wasn't filling, which was disappointing considering the high prices. The waiting time was a big drawback, we waited 45 minutes for the food to be served. Overall, the food was tasty, but the long waiting times, small portions and high prices unfortunately made the visit a bit disappointing.
