The Mezzomar Dorsten is definitely one of the best restaurants I've ever visited. Everything is just perfect here, from the excellent service to the pleasant ambiance to the fantastic food. Special mention goes to the manager, Ali, who makes you feel completely at home. I will definitely return and can recommend the restaurant to anyone looking for a first-class dining experience!
We also can't understand the hype surrounding this restaurant. The fact that there are almost no free parking spaces nearby in the evenings cannot be attributed to the restaurant, but it is still good to know. The salads were appetizingly prepared, tasty and reasonably priced. The tortellini stuffed with duck breast for €24.50 might have been considered a starter, but nobody gets full from 8 tortellini. In addition, they were too cold and the dough was too raw and hard (on our advice there was a drink on the house, which was fair). For 6 people, 6 small pieces of bread and a garlic dip, which was just enough for 2 small pieces of bread, were served as a "greeting from the kitchen". But when asked, there was a second helping. The pizzas were sparsely topped and also too cold. We liked the atmosphere overall, the service was friendly and accommodating, if a bit "clumsy". A look into the kitchen is not recommended because it looked unclean. We also noticed video cameras that, according to the manager, only come into operation when the restaurant is closed. We expressed concerns because the cameras are mounted at an angle that they could, for example, record credit cards during the payment process.
Overall, we wouldn't recommend the restaurant.
We agreed to have breakfast at Romeo Romeo and were not disappointed. A-Z everything was great. The breakfast platter was enough for three people and was very appetizing. I would particularly like to emphasize that the girls who served outside were extremely attentive and very friendly. Thank you, we'll be happy to come back.
We spontaneously went to this restaurant late in the evening to eat tiramisu. After looking at the menu, we decided to share a portion of pasta and this decision was spot on. The noodles were so so delicious. 🤤 Only then was there tiramisu, which was also delicious, but I've actually eaten better.
The staff were very helpful and friendly even at late hours. We would have liked to eat a pizza there, but we were only in Cologne for a few days and wanted to try out other restaurants.
Four of us were there on a business trip. Very good value for money.
I had the Pizza Chef with the tuna and ham combination, which I didn't think would go together. It was very tasty and the crust was perfectly cooked.
For me that is an Italian who also uses the name. Fresh seasonal dishes and also traditional Italian cuisine. You won't find pizza here. Service quick and friendly. Requests are taken into account. Reservations are recommended for evening hours and weekends.
The "Nonna" pizza was mediocre. Lots of dough, relatively few toppings and not really hot.
In a place like this, almost €8 for an average wine is also ambitious.
Delicious, beautifully decorated, pleasant on the terrace. The team is super polite and helpful ;) you can pay by card ;) everything is delicious! Recommended ;)
A culinary experience at the highest level! From the very first moment, this restaurant impresses with its warm atmosphere and attentive, friendly service.
The dishes are a true delight for all the senses - creatively combined, lovingly prepared and perfectly seasoned. Not just a visual highlight! I am thrilled every time, especially with the antipasti and the spaghetti prawns with pistachio topping 🤌
The drinks are really tasty too. Small details such as homemade bread and a greeting from the kitchen were convincing.
A place to return to, a clear recommendation for anyone who appreciates and loves good Italian cuisine.
