Unfortunately that was totally wrong this evening - food good, service/counter absolutely bad. I had reserved a table for 8 p.m. I was told it wasn't free yet, so I took a seat outside and waited for my buddy. Shortly after me, a walk-in (not reserved) came in and got a great table for two on the ground floor by the window. My friend and I then had to sit at a table for four in the corner on the first floor. Well, we then shared the Antipasto Grande - it was quite good, but I don't want to know how small the Antipasto Piccola would have been. The wines are nothing special, unfortunately the Lugana was not available. We both had the Gnocchi Giganti al Pisctacchio - I can only recommend it, it was very tasty and especially tip top with Parmesan and the two other condiments. Finally, I ordered 2 x 0.2l Nero d'Avola... I pulled myself together the whole evening that we got such a shitty seat and then they cheekily served us the rest of the piss from the red wine bottle. In the photo you can see that it was almost 0.15l instead of 0.2l. We are restaurateurs ourselves and we see when we are being cheated on. On request we were given more (without apology) and on the second request we were given a glass of red wine. We then refilled the drinks ourselves. Super embarrassing, I really don't know why the store is rated so well. In any case, we won't come again. The competition does its job much better. And at €95 (including tip), the evening wasn't exactly cheap either.

Maybe pasta is good there, did not try, but ordered fishballs was not eatable. Sitting on upper floor, nice view to lamps full of spider webs. Maybe not removed Halloween decoration ;-) I might not have picked the right spot for me, as when I go out, I’m looking for quality food, good service, and a pleasant atmosphere. Sadly, this visit didn’t meet my expectations.

Food: 2, cause you can't ruin the teabag, or can you? Service was bad, from the capital B. The waiter hit our table multiple times, once even hit me to the shoulder, and moved without noticing or giving any gesture in return. There was a strong smell of something burned. Constant noise from the kitchen, that some glass is breaking. Once it was so loud, they even turned the music volume high It's definitely not a 4.7. I'd say, 4.2 at the good day Oh, and about the tea. The plate was dirty. Not to mention I was served in just a glass with teabag init. 15 euros for 2 tea and small desert? Dissappointed

Every dish was a delight: the pasta was perfectly al dente, the sauces were spicy and tasty. Upon request, the penne salsiccia gorgonzola e spinaci was prepared with chicken breast instead of salsiccia and it was fantastic. We were particularly impressed by the friendly and attentive service - you really feel welcome here and like you're with friends. We'll definitely be back! Five stars for this culinary highlight!”

This Italian restaurant is an absolute insider tip! The food is incredibly delicious – typically Italian and prepared with a lot of love. From the crispy pizza to the fresh pasta, everything tastes like you're on vacation. The friendly staff also ensure that you immediately feel welcome and can relax like in a small trattoria in Italy. Even though the location on the main street isn't perfect, you quickly forget that once you're inside. It really is a clear recommendation – and without a reservation it will be difficult to get a place!

The food is very good, as is the service. The ambience is somewhat reminiscent of a snack bar, but very cozy. The reason why I only give it 1 star: They offer dishes from the daily menu at far inflated prices. We had fauzzes with Pulpo. The menu includes various fauzze at prices between €11 and €15. The fauzze (a type of pizza bread) with 4 squid arms cost €31. We specifically asked whether this was a mistake. But it wasn't. Pulpo is expensive to buy, was the succinct answer. My answer: Please don't. No recommendation.

This little Italian place is a must if you like pasta. The ingredients are fresh and prepared well. Classics like Carbonara or vegetarian options are really delicious. The menu changes every now and then which makes it interesting to discover new variations. Cold and warm antipasti as starter are very recommended. Different vegetables and meats are seasoned skillfully and you have big choice. We found the wines recommended by the owner to be excellent. Our favorite is the slightly sparkling Sicilian white wine. You should also consider trying the Sandwiches if you need variety.

We discovered this little Italian restaurant by chance. The food, antipasti, mixed salad with chicken and Sicilian pizza, were really tasty, but the open Primitivo was very flat and at EUR 10.50 a glass was completely overpriced. The delicious Doppio was on the house, actually very nice. Then you are also welcome to give a generous tip. But if you subsequently discover an additional “tip” item with EUR 3.40 on the bill, about which you were not informed, and you therefore gave a double tip, then that doesn’t work at all. Therefore, despite a double bonus on the house, there is still a bad aftertaste.

The good reviews are difficult for me to understand 🤷🏼‍♂️. The good antipasti piccolo and the pizzas tasted good, but were nothing special. The pizzas had spartan toppings, no crispy base and had a very wide crust. Both the menu and the wine selection are very manageable. It is very loud outside (street noise and additional music), uncomfortable (garden chairs without cushions) and cramped. You are regularly brushed against by the service staff rushing past. My highlight: an excellent espresso.

Had dinner here with five people. We sat outside and chose something from the daily menu. We also had a large starter plate. The food was very good. For that reason alone we would all come back any time. The service is quick, friendly and accommodating. The only negative point is that you notice a lot of the multi-lane road.

Zufällig sind wir einem MItsingkonzert von Frau Höpker im Kölner Hafen in diesem kleinen italienischen Restaurant gelandet. Das Essen (Antipasti, gemischter Salat mit Hähnchen und die sizilianische Pizza) war frisch und sehr lecker, lediglich der offene Primitivo war etwas flach, dafür war der Doppio (ging aufs Haus) wiederum ausgesprochen lecker. So etwas gibt es halt nur bei einem "Italiener"! Beim nächsten Kölnbesuch gerne wieder.

Unfortunately that was nothing. You sit at small, uncomfortable wooden tables right on the main street. The food came before the aperitif and was just average.

Stunning location, intimate and quiet. Friendly and helpful staff, we felt at home. The dishes take you to Sicily between land and sea. An experience to absolutely repeat. I recommend you go there if you want to eat well and have a nice evening.

The food was very tasty, but after asking three times we didn't get an ashtray and after ordering twice, unfortunately the wine didn't come despite the long wait. The service staff also sat on the next bench and smoked together while we waited for the things in question. I personally find it inappropriate. Food was good. Unfortunately service is not the same.

Peppe Cucina Italiana is an absolute insider tip in Cologne and our new favorite restaurant! We celebrated my girlfriend's birthday here and it was simply fantastic. No other Italian restaurant in Cologne can keep up. From the starter to the main course to the dessert, everything was perfectly prepared and incredibly tasty. Particularly noteworthy is the authentic and fresh preparation of the dishes - you can tell that the cooking here is done with great attention to detail. The service was also first class: attentive, friendly and always there when you needed something. Peppe Cucina Italiana really impressed us and we are already looking forward to our next visit. If you are looking for real Italian flair and culinary highlights, you should definitely visit this restaurant!

Since we were in Cologne for a concert anyway. We also wanted to visit Peppe because it was highly praised on TV and is said to be one of the best. The Bolognese pasta. Unfortunately I am disappointed. It tasted really bad, the only thing we tasted was pepper. We expected more. Unfortunately I don't give it five stars because it wasn't that great. The pasta was al dente. That was good. Unfortunately everything else is only three stars

Birthday party in a small group, Saturday evening, football was going on outside, which I found nice. We all enjoyed the food, solid, but nothing more. The crew tended to be unfriendly, moved very quickly or hectically and seemed overwhelmed. Everything was somehow tolerable, but the gentlemen literally shouted throughout the entire store, didn't place the dishes and cutlery but rather threw them and communicated so loudly that you could no longer understand your own words inside. In the end we were charged for a bottle of wine more than consumed. That had nothing to do with Sicilian flair but seemed subtly chaotic. It seemed much more relaxed outside. I was happy when we were allowed to leave. Conclusion: food ok... and everything around it terrible, but also homemade.

Unfortunately, currently only a shadow of days gone by: Food is still good, no question. Unfortunately, the service is completely overwhelmed in the evenings - too many seats and unskilled staff? The dishes for a table (2 people) come every 10 minutes (= everyone is alone, the other is watching), orders are forgotten, cutlery only comes when asked and then only piecemeal, the drinks menu is missing from the table, the wrong water is served brought, it is not cleared away, you literally have to fight for the attention of the staff. Inside it is extremely loud due to the lack of acoustic dampening (music still has to be playing); The espresso machine makes a deafening noise for several minutes (Is it broken, is that the cleaning program?) and no one cares. A relaxed conversation or even a cozy evening is not possible. Still recommended at lunchtime and in the afternoon when it is empty.

Very tasty little original Italian - highly recommended. Unfortunately a bit small and therefore the ambience is a bit uncomfortable if you sit near the entrance (i.e. downstairs) as the door was open all the time, it was very narrow and the music was very loud. Great for sitting outside or on the upper floor!

I had stuffed giant gnocci with pistachio cream sauce and buffalo mozzarella and it was beyond awesome! House wine also tasted good and we didn't even wait 10 minutes for our food. Service was also super friendly! lg

We were there for dinner on Tuesday evening with four people and ordered a pizza and three pasta dishes. Unfortunately, the portions were too small, so none of us pasta eaters were really full, even though the prices were quite high. Pasta over €20, pizza ~ €17. The price-performance ratio was not right. Overall, however, the food was delicious.

Super delicious authentic Sicilian cuisine! Unfortunately I was given the wrong drink, but I overlook it because the food was so delicious. Even if the portions may not seem generous at first glance, that is deceptive. You can taste high-quality fresh products, especially the meat, burrata and fior di latte. The Nutella Tiramisu was to die for! In our opinion, value for money is right. The only thing I couldn't sit inside was because the music was as loud as in a club.

I finally came here today for the first time since moving and was once again really impressed with the food. €6.90 for a nice full glass of Aperol is also a very good price. Last week I was a guest at Peppe Cucina for the third time. From a friendly welcome, to pleasant seating, presentation of the daily specials, to the very tasty dish. The spaghetti carbonara is a dream, one of the best I've ever eaten. We sat outside, with nice weather, unobtrusive background music and a pleasant atmosphere. I'll be back - there's no question about it 😍

Yesterday we had an unplanned visit to a restaurant because we were traveling nearby. Since the weather was good, we sat outside. Therefore my wheelchair did not pose a problem. However, I don't know if I could go to the store without any problems. We were warmly welcomed and immediately made sure that I could find a good place with my wheelchair. The restaurant is simple but tastefully designed. The menu is positively manageable and our dishes were freshly prepared with good ingredients in a timely manner. The food was delicious and the service was very friendly and attentive - gastronomy with passion. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

Yesterday we had dinner in the “new” location at Peppe. I have been to the old location several times and have always been more than satisfied. Unfortunately, a lot has changed here: prices have increased dramatically and the service is no longer as usual. We waited forever for our food and after everyone around us got their food before us, we asked. Then he started again because his colleague forgot our food. no apology, nothing on the house, no good service unfortunately for me. Then they wanted to let us know when paying that you couldn't pay with a card even though there was an EC device in front of you. They supposedly told us on the phone, which is not true. Unfortunately overall disappointing.

We ended up here yesterday by chance. The facility has seen better days, BUT that was made up for by the very friendly service and the great food. So delicious, I haven't eaten it in a long time for an absolutely fair price. The wine was also very appealing. Even my otherwise critical partner enjoyed the panna cotta extremely well. We'd love to come back, Best rating on every level!

We discovered this restaurant via Instagram and went there spontaneously. It was really full at lunchtime, but there was a great deal on offer. We had pasta with a soft drink and coffee for €12. And it was tasty too. That definitely wasn't our last Visit 😊👍🏼

Four of us came here for a business lunch. The food tasted excellent and the service was nice and attentive. Unfortunately it was very crowded and therefore noisy on the day of our visit. But that just shows how well the restaurant is doing.

O.k., on Saturday evening when all the seats are taken, it's difficult or you make it even more difficult. The service is overwhelmed and orders have to be placed multiple times. The atmosphere could be more cozy and Italian. The Bolognese pasta was amazing. Drinks can be replaced more often, cobwebs can be removed and the sanitary facilities unfortunately smell awful.

Eat: First I have to say that the food is really delicious. We ordered the truffle paste and the gnocchi. Unfortunately the gnochi were lukewarm because the plate was very cold. The portion size of the pasta was good, but unfortunately the number of gnocchi wasn't enough for a main course, so I had to get something else to eat on the way back. Service: We were paid little attention. My empty plate, complete with parmesan and chilli oil, was put away even though my companion was still eating. When my companion was finished, a pile of the other guests' dirty dishes were placed in the empty plate at our table so that they could be transported downstairs together. This is not very appealing and is not appropriate for us! Ambiance: The shop looks really nice in the lower part. Unfortunately we sat in the upper area, which has significantly less atmosphere. The toilets are visually of a good standard, unfortunately there is something wrong with the drains, which makes it smell very bad.

Ich war im Peppe Anfang November zum Mittagessen. Der Service war aufmerksam und selbst der Inhaber hat sich Zeit genommen, um mit mir über die italienische Küche zu philosophieren. Die Spaghetti Carbonara waren sehr lecker!

Service war äußerst freundlich, schnell und zuvorkommend! Habe die Tagliatelle al tartufo gegessen und war begeistert!! Definitiv ihren Preis wert! Tipp: Reserviert evt 1-2 Tage im vorraus, da es relativ klein ist und gut besucht!

Kleines Restaurant mit verdammt gutem Essen und Service. Sogar ohne Reservierung herzlich willkommen. Preis/Leitung, gibt es nichts zu meckern. Probiert das aus, ich kann es empfehlen.

Das essen war mega. Die Bedienung war toll.Die Nudeln haben wie bei meiner nonna geschmeckt!

Ich hatte hier einen Tisch für mich bestellt. Ich wurde dann direkt neben der Eingangstür platziert. Dann sollte ich mich nochmal umsetzen, weil ich im Weg saß. Dann hatte ich eine Vorspeise bestellt ( Polpette). Die gab es dann nicht. Ich bestellte Melanzane und bekam zwei kleine Häufchen einer ziemlich pampigen Masse mit Käse drauf. Dann bestellte ich noch Gnocchi mir Pistaziencreme. Serviert wurde eine recht durchschnittliche Pasta. Es gab auch keine sonderlich ausgefallene Weinkarte. Dafür waren die Preise einfach zu hoch. Ich war schon so oft in Italien ganz hervorragend essen und weiß dementsprechend, was diese eigentlich zauberhafte Küche kann. Hier bin ich leider enttäuscht worden. Tut mir leid.

Ich war am Mi. 20.12 hier. Die gute Bewertung gebe ich nur aufgrund der leckersten Pasta die ich jemals ausserhalb von Italien essen durfte. Der Rest war allerdings sehr durchwachsen: Der Service war sehr chaotisch und voller Missverständnisse, obwohl nur 25 Gäste im Restaurant waren, aber immer freundlich. Auf Nachfrage was denn auf dem Antipastiteller sei, wurde z.B Spinat genannt, der dann gar nicht drauf war. Der Antipastiteller kam auch vor den Getränken und bestand weitestgehend aus wenig gewürzten Sättigungs und Gemüsebeilagen (Blumenkohl der bis zum zerfallen gegart war - Brechbohnen mit gekochtem Ei ebenfalls gewöhnungsbedürftig). Dazu kam Brot, was auf der Rechnung stand, obwohl wir nicht danach gefragt hatten. Gefragt ob alles schmeckt wurde erst als die Teller bereits leer waren. Auf die Rechnung musste ich 20 Minuten warten, schließlich wurde mir die Rechnung des Nachbartisches präsentiert. Anschließend hat es noch einige Minuten gedauert, bis ein Gutschein angenommen werden konnte. Danach wollte ich nichts mehr beanstanden und zahlte ohne weitere Prüfung den Rest nicht zu knapp, da alle sehr nett waren. Dass der Betrag immer noch zu groß war, ist mir erst im Nachhinein aufgefallen und hat mich auch zu dieser ausführlichen Bewertung verleitet. Für die Spaghettoni würde ich jederzeit wiederkommen, falls der Service ein bisschen glatter läuft.
