Pizza was amazing, atmosphere was fine, though the owner was not nearly as friendly as the other reviews described. He shows every guest his „special“ steak and fish. The thing is, he does not bring them back to the fridge, he puts them aside on a table near the menus, room temperature. 4 min later, he takes then again, shows his „specialities“ to the next customer and so on. Furthermore, the waitress wanted us to pay cash, said that paying with card is very difficult. The difficulty was moving 5m for a better connection, ridiculous.

We were here for the first time and had a very nice evening here in a very pleasant environment including a birthday serenade. A big thank you for that. We'll definitely come back.

Today we ordered 2 pizzas after a long time. When we picked it up, it was pointed out that the prices had been adjusted. We ended up paying €21 so far so good. When I got home I looked at the menu and realized how absurd the prices were. A Margherita pizza costs €6 and one with spicy salami costs €13. One with normal salami €9. So I paid €7 for 4 slices of salami?! Unfortunately I don't understand. It's a shame, but then I'd rather order Neapolitan pizza for €18. The reason for not having eaten at da franco for a long time came from our last visit there, where we had to wait 2 hours for our food and were insulted stupidly because we asked for a sharp knife. Absolute favorite pizzeria :) The food is incredibly tasty, the boss and staff are always friendly and really quick. My boyfriend and I regularly order our pizza here to take away, but we also highly recommend the restaurant for going out and eating there. The ambience is great and the atmosphere is always very cozy, almost like an evening on vacation. Full number of stars and be sure to stay as you are :)

Bad food and a totally overwhelmed kitchen! We had to sit there for almost 3 hours, no wonder when you also want to serve a lot of people who order pizza over the phone.

The salad was far too small and the food (schnitzel, fries) was slightly too salty. The service was also rather average; But the location is great and you sit very nicely in the middle of Nippes; therefore a very benevolent 4 stars.

We ordered a tiramisu and espresso with it. Actually there was also a caffeine-free cappuccino, but there was a rather derogatory note that it wasn't available here. It's okay and not bad, but there's nothing wrong with the fact that you might want a caffeine-free cappuccino at 9 p.m. Although the topic was then settled for me, the snarky comment came unbidden, “and lactose-free milk, oat milk, we don’t have anything like that here either”. I personally found it pretty outrageous. Tiramisu tasted okay, but was a little too sweet and creamy for my taste. I can't say anything about the rest of the card. The restaurant generally has a nice atmosphere and also a good price-performance ratio.

The restaurant is not that big but it has outside seating. The selection is quite large (food + pizza) and the quality is very good. It's usually very crowded so you should make a reservation.

Too small. Too loud. The phone next to us kept ringing. The customers who picked up were breathing down my husband's neck and were soon sitting on my lap. Waiters nice and accommodating. But a slice of Bruscetta bread for 4.90 euros is outrageous. You definitely can't expect a nice atmosphere to eat pizza there.

It has become one of our regular haunts, not only because of the great food, but also because of the great customer service. Last week we were a bit late to pick up our food (we had some delays leaving the hospital. They were already closed but they held our pizza for another 20 minutes until we came over. A really great shop. 5 Stars.

We ordered food with a large group, over 20 pizzas in total and a few salads. The food came on time, pizza was still hot, was absolutely delicious and everything was right, no mix-ups or anything!! The salads were also very good, dressing was already on it (plus point for being environmentally friendly, much better than when it comes in a plastic bowl) and just the right amount, not soggy and not dry, exactly how it should be! That was really great, we can totally recommend it and we will definitely order again!

Schönes kleines Restaurant. Klasse Pizza aus dem Steinofen. Super netter Chef und super freundliches Personal. Wenn man vor Ort essen möchte am besten vorher Tisch reservieren. Pizza kann man nur selbst abholen oder über Lieferando kommen lassen.

Waren heute seit einer gefühlten Ewigkeit wieder im Da Franco, wir werden für den nächsten Besuch nicht mehr soviel Zeit vergehen lassen. Ein authentisches italienisches Restaurant mitten in Nippes. Meine ersten Besuche waren vor über 30 Jahren, schon als Kind hab ich dort meine Pizza gekauft. Die Pizza ist sehr lecker, tolle Vorspeisenplatte und eine sehr nette Bedienung.Im Laden hat sich nicht viel verändert, rustikal Italienisch mit einer tollen Mannschaft. Preise sehr fair, danke das ihr die Gäste nicht abzockt, ich werde euch weiterempfehlen, bleibt so wie ihr seit. Grüße aus Bergisch Gladbach.

Siempre que vamos, todo muy bien. La comida es súper, y el dueño siempre nos atiende con la mejor… pero hoy la camarera rubia tuvo un comportamiento grosero y extraño con nosotros. Nos recibió y tomó el pedido de la bebidas, luego nunca más apareció en el salón. Al pedir la cuenta, nos dijo un número rápido y se fue, nunca nos trajo el ticket y rápidamente, de repente, se nos sentó en la mesa con el monedero en la mano para cobrar. Su reacción al final fue completamente extraña y nos quedamos con la sensación de no haber entendido su comportamiento tan brusco. Quizás no tuvo un buen día, pero nosotros estábamos teniendo una buena noche hasta el momento en que la chica nos cruzó

Essen köstlich und Bedienung der Extraklasse!

Nach langer Zeit bin ich mal wieder dort gewesen und kann wieder nur sagen, dass Essen ist hervorragend, der Service wirklich freundlich, kompetent und hilfsbereit. Die Räumlichkeiten sind ein wenig ausgefallen dekoriert, was aber der Gemütlichkeit keinen Abbruch tut, sondern zum sehr eigenen Stil beiträgt. Es ist ein wenig eng mit Tischen bestückt, aber das nehmen wir aufgrund der anderen Qualitäten gerne in Kauf. Wir kommen gerne immer wieder.

Bestes italienisches Essen in familiären Ambiente

Tisch für 6 Personen reserviert, der war direkt zwischen Theke und Brotschneidetisch. Sehr eng. Weiter muss ich sagen , es steht überall das hier alle !!! Zahlungsmittel , also Karten genommen werden. Dem war nicht so. Ich musste erst mal zu Geldautomaten den Betrag holen. Auf meinen Hinweis hin, das sollte man im Netz doch richtigstellen, nur Schulterzucken. Meine Pizza war gut, für den Rest der Gruppe kann ich nicht sprechen. Personal war freundlich obwohl es sehr voll war. Vielleicht sollte man am WE den Mitnahmeservice einstellen damit man mehr Zeit für die Gäste im Lokal hat

I spent my evening at this restaurant with friends, who highly recommended it. However, our expectations were not met. The food, including lasagna, cannelloni, and a slightly dry but tasty steak, was good. 👌🏼 The major letdown was the waiting time — we waited for a menu initially, then around an hour for our order, and finally fifteen minutes for the bill. Despite receiving dessert as compensation, this experience significantly dampened our evening.

Wir sind mit 14 Personen ins Restaurant gekommen. Nachdem wir 4 perfekte Antipasti Platten als Vorspeise bekommen hatten wurde der Hauptgang individuell bestellt. Ob Pizza, Pasta oder Fleisch alle waren vom Essen begeistert. Ein guter Primitivo durfte auch nicht fehlen. Das Personal war äußerst freundlich, zuvorkommend und sehr aufmerksam. Die Preise absolut angemessen, nicht zu teuer. Am Ende noch ein leckeres Tiramisu und Espresso-Perfekt. Mille Grazie, das war nicht der letzte Besuch. Reservierung ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Wir haben draußen gesessen, da kann man zum Ambiente nicht viel sagen, was man aber innen sehen konnte, sah ansprechend aus. Der Preis war aufgrund der Qualität des Essens und des Wohlfühlfaktors mehr als angemessen. Wir würden gerne wieder kommen.
