There were six of us in the café to drink/eat affogato (espresso with ice). Unfortunately this dessert wasn't on the menu, but the waiter was very creative and made it for us anyway. We all enjoyed it, the ice cream ball could have been a little bigger, otherwise the creation with the speculoos sprinkles on top was very tasty. Thank you.

However, there were a few little things that didn't quite fit for me. There wasn't enough dressing in my salad for my taste, and the bruschetta was served on very thick bread that wasn't crispy enough for me. That's why I give it four stars instead of five.

I went there for brunch with my son. In the café we discovered that card payment didn't work. Since it was raining outside, I didn't want to go to the savings bank. Unfortunately your website doesn't work and we drove an unnecessary 2 hours only to be told afterwards that there was no more breakfast/brunch. We just got ourselves a drink (we got far too watery spritzers) and then left the store as quickly as possible. When the drinks were brought to us, there was no one to take our order for 35 minutes. Toilets are definitely not suitable for such an oh-so-beautiful shop. They are really junkyards with a high risk of infection. Please fix your website or write your times on the menu because this Valentine's Day was a huge failure; (definitely won't come back because the gas was already more than the drinks afterwards, it wasn't worth it.

The food was delicious, although a few dishes were very similar. The prices are okay, but there could be more sauces on the sandwiches, for example. The coffee was okay too, but unfortunately the oat milk wasn't that good. I can absolutely recommend the French toast. Filling for one person and great as a dessert for two. The food was average. Every dish lacked the finishing touches to make it harmonious. The pancakes were not fluffy and almost cold, the yogurt was solid. The fried eggs on the sandwich were fried differently and the bread was cut too thick and therefore dry overall. There was no scrambled egg in the egg drop sandwich, but rather a crispy fried egg, too little sauce and little taste. I wouldn't recommend the tart either. The service depended on the person: While one waitress was very friendly and tried hard, one employee was almost rude and annoyed. The coffee was okay, you can get much better elsewhere in Cologne. We were seated so close to other tables that it was impossible to have a private conversation. We had to somehow ball up our jackets because there was no room for it. It was warm and stuffy. The women's toilet was dirty and couldn't be locked. The location of the restaurant is super central and would actually be a good place to go. Unfortunately, I wouldn't go here again.

Visited this place based on the rating but not at all how we expected it to be. Almost waited 45 min to be served and the food was below average. The egg in Shakshuka was way overcooked leaving a very strong pungent taste with the cast iron and the veggies were barely chopped and seemed like thrown in rush to get things on the table. As for the avocado toast, to our surprise there was “no avocado” at all as shown in pictures and just a very thin watery sauce that barely tasted anything remotely close to avocados and the chewy bread just made it impossible to finish. We were told it’s cash only establishment but we did see some people paying by cards too, so not really sure the need of enforcing cash only concept. Not worth the price or taste.

Beautiful and cozy cafe! You can sit downstairs or upstairs, but when it's full there's a bit of confusion from the service staff. We've been guests here twice and tried something out. The food was always delicious, but unfortunately we had long hair in our food twice! I would recommend that you only work with hair caps in the kitchen and that the waitress (if you have longer hair) work with your hair tied up, so this unpleasant problem can at least be minimized! What unfortunately doesn't work at all are the toilet rooms. Unfortunately, the ladies' door cannot be closed, so you have to be careful that no unpleasant situations arise if another guest wants to use the toilet. The cleanliness is also rather poor for the sanitary area. We arrived at the restaurant at 11:15am and asked a Turkish waitress if we could order lunch. She said this would only be possible from 2 p.m. However, half an hour later we saw that the table next door was already having lunch. When we asked the Turkish waitress about it again, we only got excuses. We have been to this restaurant many times before and have always been very happy with the other staff, but this time we were really disappointed. I recommend being careful here.

Absolute disaster!!! Our visit to the Romeo Romeo restaurant in Cologne was an absolute disaster - so bad that we left the place without eating anything. Reservation: Despite reservations, the tables were not prepared. Instead of being welcomed, we had to wait and were unpleasantly in the way of other guests. Organization? None! Service: The waitress with black hair was not only extremely unfriendly, but also completely disrespectful. She yelled at her colleague in front of the guests because the tables were supposedly placed incorrectly. This behavior is not only unprofessional, it simply leaves guests speechless. Flexibility: Although we arrived at 2:30 p.m., a time when one might expect both breakfast and lunch, we were given the absurd choice: the entire group must choose either breakfast or lunch. Individual orders? “Not possible, otherwise the kitchen will be a mess,” we were told flippantly. Even if this rule makes sense for the restaurant, the way we were treated was disrespectful and just plain rude. We actually wanted to celebrate a friend's 30th birthday. Some of us came especially from other cities and even from abroad. In the end we left disappointed and frustrated - no one from the staff asked why we were unhappy and there was no "goodbye" either. Luckily we discovered the Indian restaurant Flavor of India - we were warmly welcomed without a reservation. The service was excellent, the food was outstanding, and the day was saved. Conclusion: Romeo Romeo was a complete disappointment - from unfriendly staff to chaotic organization. Luckily, there are restaurants like Flavor of India that know how to treat guests. Romeo Romeo? Definitely not again! Had a Christmas party there yesterday with 12 people. It started with the seats. The tables were so close together that we had to push a table away when someone sitting on the bench needed to go to the toilet. Within 2 hours each of us only had 2 drinks! And the second one only happened because we actively spoke to the waitress. At around 8:40 p.m. a waitress came to us and said "by the way, we're closing earlier today. At 9 p.m. if you want one last round." And to top it all off, “I accidentally made the total invoice in cash. I can’t change that anymore.” Conclusion. Food was quite good. Organization and service.....never experienced anything worse. Can't recommend the place. Oh yes, and although we expressed our dissatisfaction in a normal, objective manner when ordering the bill, there wasn't even a schnapps or anything on the house.

The café is basically cute and the food is great. Unfortunately, the service there is really unfriendly. We were there twice and the first time we thought the waitress with the long black hair was just having a bad day. She pointedly ignores you, doesn't smile back and makes you feel absolutely unwelcome. The second time we were ignored in the entrance for the first few minutes, even though the waitress obviously had nothing to do. We were told to wait 10 minutes. In a truly impossible way. Shortly after us, two men came into the restaurant. They also asked for a table for two and were allowed to sit down immediately. When I asked why the two of them were given a table straight away, the answer was that we would get the nicer table. The gentlemen are currently taking their seats at this very table. Even the two of them noticed that something wasn't going right. We then left. And it didn't really matter where we sat, we just didn't want to stand around somewhere unwanted for 10 minutes. PS: It's our wedding anniversary today. Thanks for nothing.

I recently went there for breakfast with my girlfriend. Our table wasn't bad in principle, but it was very, very narrow in order to fit as many people in as possible. You had to turn to the side the whole time to make room for the waiters. I could imagine that it could get tiringly loud in the evening. The waitress was nice, but the service was average. Of course I can ignore that if the food tastes as good as our breakfast did. Purely from a technical point of view, a clear recommendation. However, one thing struck me as very negative. There was exactly one male service employee, I assume the management, who was underground. He started complaining loudly (we had to pause our conversation) about his other employees, I assume runners. That they don't have to record anything and how much their incompetence upsets him. He also maintained a rude tone towards the guests. He called out to a couple on the first floor what was going on, as they didn't seem very happy, they said they wanted to pay and he just replied "come down then". Completely wrong career choice this young gentleman made. I can only recommend that the owner reconsider his choice, as such employees are damaging to his reputation. If we are in the area again we might stop by again for the food, maybe something will have changed in the service by then.

I was at your place yesterday with my girlfriend and I have to say, me and my girlfriend were served so well by the waiter. They responded to all of our wishes. The atmosphere was very nice and the food was good too. The water was poured for us and our order was ready within 15 minutes. We told the waiter that we still had to go to the cinema and therefore didn't have much time. He did everything so great!!!!!. We'll be coming more often from now on. Nice café but the service seemed a bit overwhelmed and unmotivated even though there wasn't much going on. Truffle pasta was delicious, but unfortunately the portion was very small. The pizza had no special taste and was very dry. The matcha was not of good quality, unfortunately bitter. Unfortunately everything is very expensive. The only tasty thing were the homemade lemonades 🙂
