It looks delicious, tastes great, and everyone there is really nice.

Unfortunately, the pizza is very poorly topping for the price, and the pasta is simply tiny, a real insult. :-( :-( :-(

I don't recommend this place!!! The exorbitant prices are simply outrageous! I had a 200g beef fillet for €32 WITHOUT A SIDE DISH! WITHOUT sauce or herb butter! I then had to pay an extra €5 for sides. (Even though I asked the waiter if they included any, and he confirmed they did.) The first steak (ordered medium) was completely overcooked, tough, and almost impossible to cut. I sent it back immediately. The second steak was still completely raw and cold inside. Quality beyond words 😢 At the end, the waiter was so cheeky and simply withheld €1.70 from my payment, saying he didn't have any change!!! Unfortunately, this restaurant is the only one within walking distance of Starlight Express, and anyone who wants to eat before the musical practically MUST go there. That's why the prices are so abysmal. Once and NEVER again!!!!

Unfortunately, my online reservation was canceled. It wasn't possible to book another time online. I tried several times to contact them by phone, but to no avail. My email didn't respond either. What a pity!

The pizzas were delicious, no question. However, for the price, they weren't worth it in our opinion. Unfortunately, there was also an inconvenience with the reservation, which we were able to move up online beforehand, but this was dismissed with a rude comment when we got there. So, overall, the service can't be rated particularly well.

Very friendly staff! Despite water damage in the 'large' restaurant, there was a lovely atmosphere in the smaller Grill across the street! The food was super delicious, including pizzas and pasta dishes. We're from the Harz region and once again had a memorable restaurant visit in Bochum. Thank you for that! There's not much space in the Grill, but a few tables were quickly arranged for our group of seven.

I would have loved to eat there tonight. Unfortunately, it's closed for weeks or months due to water damage.😢

Very tasty food, worth a visit.

It took forever for our order to even be taken. Drinks didn't arrive promptly, and the aperitif didn't arrive at all. The starter took 45 minutes. Despite asking for the pizza to arrive soon afterward, nothing happened. When it arrived, it wasn't what we ordered. We left. On top of that, everything was overpriced. A couple left after 30 minutes because no waiter bothered to take their order.

Table reserved for 6 p.m. We had to wait in the narrow entrance area until, after a 10-minute wait, a waiter finally showed us a table. The restaurant was practically empty; of the many free tables, we were given one on the terrace with a direct view of the sun. I couldn't look at the person sitting opposite me because I was so glared. None of the waiters took any notice, so we sat at a table in the shade. We ordered a Sarti, for which we had to wait another 10 minutes; as I said, the place was empty. We had actually planned to spend around 150 euros, but when we looked at the menu and didn't see the dish we had previously chosen online on the menu, we lost interest. We also thought the prices were completely excessive. There were used beer mats and other rubbish on the floor; they could have been swept away, but no one in the service team cared. We really just wanted to pay for our drinks and leave. 18 euros was OK for 2 sarti, the next problem was approaching. We wanted to pay with a 100 euro note, whereupon the waiter told us straight away that he couldn't give us the hundred euro note. He kept walking away so he could give us the 800 euro note. It then took ages until I finally got fed up and paid with a card. Service was so awful, horrible!!!!!!!!!! The ambience was not appealing, prices were excessive and food that is on the menu online but is not available in the restaurant. I would call that embarrassing. This restaurant doesn't live up to its promises by any stretch of the imagination!! What a pity. Our money went to another restaurant in Bochum which was certainly better spent.

We were there at opening because of a concert across the street. We were the second ones there, but the receptionist showed everyone who had reserved to their table first, even though the unbooked tables were also known. Meanwhile, I was constantly on the phone, and it took 15 minutes for a second member of staff to come and let us in. I ordered drinks. One was incorrect, one wasn't served, and one was extra, but I didn't have any problems with that. But when the main courses were delivered to the other 15 tables, and we didn't even get our starters, I was getting a bit impatient. We would have to wait forever for the main course. Then we had to pay. In total, it took 2 hours, with one starter and two main courses, no dessert. And that for 120 euros. The food was okay, but nothing special. No tip. WHAT A PITY

Very friendly service and excellent food. Despite being fully booked, the staff were very attentive.

We were initially offered a table at the entrance, with the information that we could move to another table after the first round. However, we had to wait about 60 minutes for our food; the dishes we ordered were different, but the pasta wasn't cooked properly. Our table was next to the accessible restroom—normally not a problem—but a wheelchair user needed to get in, and the passage was so narrow that I had to clear away crates to get him in. The reasoning behind not being able to swap tables multiple times is also a little confusing.

We had dinner at Trattoria Momo in Bochum! The food and service were excellent – ​​a well-deserved five stars 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟. We were given two seats on the glass-enclosed "terrace" – truly lovely. Everything was delicious and despite the high demand before the Starlight Express performance, the staff were friendly and served everything on time.

Unfortunately, our expectations of the food served here were very disappointed. The pizza we were served was very bland in taste and didn't evoke any of the Italian flair we so appreciate. As a welcome from the kitchen, we only received four slices of dry bread. High prices are by no means a guarantee of good taste. What a shame!

The pizza was OK, the soda was €7 for 0.75l. The waiter had to be asked several times about a wine cooler, but then ended up charging us for a more expensive wine. We were able to sort this out without any problems. But it had to be sorted out, and that cost time and nerves. A relaxing experience doesn't look like much. Bread had to be ordered separately, and it also cost money. The empty plates sat in front of us for 20 minutes and weren't cleared away. In short, the first impression was much better than the experience in the restaurant. I won't be going back to this restaurant next time I'm in Bochum.

We went there spontaneously and got a table without a reservation. The staff was very friendly and attentive. They served homemade bread and ajíli. The food was delicious and plentiful. If we're ever in the area again, we'd be happy to come back.

We got a takeaway pizza there after our visit to Starlight Express. Everyone was super friendly, super fast, and it was some of the best pizzas we've ever eaten. It's a shame we don't live nearby.

Everything was perfect. My husband is a chef himself. His quote: Michelin-star cuisine!!!! We had the salmon fillet and octopus for dinner. I could go on forever, but all I can say is, top, top, top!!!!!!!

After 1 hour, our order slip was apparently gone....., so we reordered!!!?!?...after that, all the guests...who had arrived during that time had their food...so......another 45 minutes...then it was us. As an apology, we were told we'd have dessert...after another 20 minutes...we paid and left without dessert. The boss just laughed, said thank you (very arrogant and sneering)...for being there. We definitely won't go there again, under any circumstances!!!!! My portion of Bolognese was very small......for €21...equivalent to a child's portion.

I've rarely had such good Italian food! The pizza was incredibly delicious! The service and atmosphere were fantastic. A definite recommendation! It's a shame we don't have a restaurant like this near us.

We discovered it by chance and reserved a table (a must). We sat on the outdoor terrace in the warmth under a sunshade. We received a warm welcome and very friendly service throughout our stay. The selected dishes were of excellent quality and a visual highlight. Many guests also enjoyed pizzas, which looked excellent. My highlight was the perfectly grilled tuna steak. The appetizer – house-cured salmon – was a delight. The prices are on the higher end but definitely justified. We really enjoyed it.

A truly excellent place. Both pasta and pizza were excellent. Here, they understand gastronomy. The staff is very friendly and have an eye for detail.

Perfect service, that's how it should be. High-quality food and worth every cent. I was there two evenings in a row when the restaurant was full, two of us each time, and we received perfect service. We were offered either homemade whole-grain bread or sourdough bread with aioli beforehand, and the food arrived in less than 25 minutes. Even if it took longer, the quality is nothing to complain about. I recommend the truffle black angus carpaccio for starters, and the veal fillet (Italian style) for main course, optionally with the red wine sauce, and the ravioli filled with duck breast and orange and sage sauce. The tagliatelle Bolognese was also delicious. Great dessert selection: panacotta and tiramisu were delicious, and I still want to try the semifreddo (recommended by Daniel, a server), but unfortunately it was sold out both days. A huge thank you to everyone in the service team, especially Daniel; you can tell they work with love and passion. We will definitely come back!

I've been there three times in the last week, which is saying something 👍🏼 Why do I do this? Because I want to offer my guests a wonderful experience. Iggi (the owner) and his team manage to do this time and time again. Once I had fish, which was great. Once I had pasta, which was great. And once I had a steak. That was also great. Momo is not a place to save money 😜 but to enjoy! Highly recommended!

Invited by two lovely people with local culinary knowledge in Bochum, I had the pleasure of discovering Trattoria Momo last week. Finally, a wow experience! (-. Friendly, service-oriented, and helpful with the dishes on offer – every course was perfect in taste and quality – all in a stylish, pleasant ambiance. This is how good cuisine works today, and gastronomy becomes an experience. I highly recommend it.

What a wonderful place! We were invited here by friends for dinner. We expected what you get at so many trattorias: passable food, wine, and atmosphere. But what we got was: - Excellent service: Attentive, polite, and sincere. - Outstanding food: The steak was on point and tender. Very good quality meat. I would recommend the antipasti platter with a Pizza Diavolo as an accompaniment. - Great wine: Special recommendation here is the Roero Arneis (Stella). As our hostess said: It's a dream!

Hey The online table reservation worked great, and the reception was also very friendly. ;) We were there on a Friday evening and sat in the adjoining room. It was quite quiet, but unfortunately the service wasn't particularly attentive and seemed more preoccupied with themselves. The small fruit flies that were everywhere were also a bit unpleasant. My friend really enjoyed his pizza – my seafood risotto, on the other hand, was a bit overseasoned. It was also a bit disconcerting that the menu on site differed from the one on the website. Overall, it wasn't a particularly impressive first visit, but I would still give the restaurant a second chance.

What's the point of saying this: you go to Bochum (to the planetarium) and, without any great expectations, you eat the best pizza outside the Alps in years. It's crazy. Friendly service, reasonable prices.

A typical Italian restaurant: a clear menu with delicious food and drinks at reasonable prices. We had handmade pizza and duck-filled dumplings. Everything was highly recommended and freshly prepared. The same goes for the excellent farmhouse bread. The staff, also typically Italian, were prompt, friendly, and attentive.

(We're originally from Ravensburg.) We discovered the restaurant while walking to the theater (Starlight Express) and reserved a table for our anniversary. The service was abysmal. Everything was fine until after the meal, then they stopped paying attention to us... We waited 30 minutes for the bill to arrive. The bill was completely wrong, even though everything was announced correctly. They tried to blame us, threatening to take forever to bill... No apologies, nothing... That was our fourth visit and our last... no more!

One of the best Italian restaurants in the Ruhr area. A fantastic, extensive and authentic menu with classic and innovative Italian dishes. The pasta, meat, and fish are excellent, but we often order the sensational pizza. The prices are high, but reasonable given the quality of the ingredients and the food. The service is uncomplicated and extremely friendly. We've eaten there several times and will, of course, return.

I became aware of this restaurant through a social media post and regret not having known about it before. This small restaurant near the Vonovia Stadium is definitely worth a visit. The ambiance is very inviting and puts you at ease. The service was truly first-class. Super attentive but not intrusive, and their white wine, Momo Blanco, which I chose on the waitress's recommendation, is worth a visit in itself. As for the dishes, I opted for the truffle pasta and my partner opted for the flank steak, and we were both absolutely thrilled. The dessert (in our case, a tiramisu) was also delicious, and you can tell that the dishes are prepared with love and that there is a passion for good food behind them. We will definitely visit this restaurant again, but next time I'll try one of their pizzas, although the huge selection of great variations might make it difficult to decide.

Today was our first visit to the Momo restaurant. I personally found the reception in the restaurant a bit "different"; the employee was sitting in a corner behind a desk with a laptop (which seemed somewhat odd to me). Once she found our reservation, we were shown to our table. We sat in a kind of winter garden, but unfortunately, it was quite drafty at times, and the table wobbled. The ambiance in the winter garden was moderate. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything special either (wooden tables and stone tiles like you'd find in an outdoor area; I suppose you could put up the "roof" and sit outside in nice weather). The staff was friendly, and the food and drinks arrived promptly. The dishes were all delicious and appetizingly presented. My only criticism of the food... there was far too much truffle oil in the Linguine al Tartufo for me. Value for money: you get truly unusual and different dishes, not your usual pizzeria fare, but the dishes do have their price tag. The wine list is more extensive than the menu and the prices are also higher.

This was our first time in Bochum, and we went to Momo. The best pizza I've ever eaten! Absolutely delicious! My husband (a trained chef) was also very satisfied! The dishes were a bit on the pricier side, but absolutely worth it! 100% recommended!

It may be the best Italian restaurant in the Ruhr area, but I still can't understand the prices. The food was excellent and the service very friendly, but I can't understand the prices at all. Since I enjoy cooking at a high price, I can't agree with the prices at all. €13.50 for a Margherita pizza and a chicken salad for €19.90, when I assume that 400 percent of the ingredients in restaurants come from purchased ingredients, is too much in my opinion. Margherita, as I learned from Italy's past, represented by tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil, is the color of Italy. I couldn't tell that from the product my daughter ate, but that's just my opinion. Bottled beer and small glasses of wine are also expensive. The place is doing well, the people are happy, I think the price level isn't good enough yet.

We were in Bochum to see the musical Starlight Express. Since it was a long journey from Berlin and our stomachs were empty, we were looking for a nice and, above all, good restaurant. Trattoria Momo is very close, the staff was cheerful, courteous, and very attentive, and the food (Pizza Parma, Pizza Sami, and a large mixed herb salad) was simply fantastic. Very good offer, delicious food

We spontaneously went to Momo on a Saturday evening and were absolutely thrilled. Even though the place was packed, we waited relatively "shortly." We were politely asked what they could do for us, and the waiter wasn't bothered that we didn't have a reservation. We were taken to the "waiting area," where we were immediately offered drinks and an ashtray. After about five minutes, we were shown to our seats, where we were immediately given drinks, fresh, homemade bread, and an absolutely delicious spread. Of course, it took a while for the drinks and food to arrive, but it was absolutely fine on a Saturday evening in a crowded place. The food itself was also good; I had the carbonara, which was solid, but I've had better. The pizza not only looked good, it also tasted great. All in all, I'll stop by again and try the rest of the items on the menu. The desserts were world-class and I can highly recommend them. The ambiance is world-class. I can't even describe it, but it's fitting, and I felt incredibly comfortable. The price isn't exactly cheap, given the restaurant's popularity and the sheer number of people who come to visit. We paid around €60 per person, which is definitely in the upper range. For me, it's a solid Italian restaurant with excellent service that's worth visiting for special occasions.
