Arte Italiana Restaurant & Pizzeria in Bochum

We ordered on our wedding day. Since "our" pizzeria was unfortunately closed today, my husband, beaming with joy, showed me the online menu here. I had a hard time finding anything. Instead, I had to order Spaghetti dello chef (my husband opted for Spaghetti Carbobara instead). After over an hour, he called and inquired: they hadn't written down our name or asked for a phone number. Accordingly, the food arrived lukewarm. One positive (but unfortunately the only good thing): the arugula was extra. Since the oil was at the bottom, I mixed it together. First forkful: still dry and flavorless. Second forkful: a large, wooden stalk of basil with a single leaf. Seasoned with salt, pepper, and my own herbs (I could have just cooked my own). There were about three overcooked cocktail tomatoes in the bowl. So, considering the amount of pasta, it was practically nothing. From the second half onward, it was completely cold, just oily, and I was practically done for from the stem onward. So, unfortunately, it wasn't edible any further. The carbonara I tried was basically a Parmesan sauce with a bit of ham for visual appeal, as there was nothing to taste other than Parmesan. So, I only ate about half the portion. What a waste of money, and a shame, because we were looking forward to a delicious meal on our anniversary. 😢

It's a shame, despite having a reservation, we found the doors closed. This isn't the first time we've had this mistake. It was our last attempt.

We had pizza and pasta delivered to our home. The ingredients were very sparse and the seasoning was bland. The pizza was cold. We're only giving it one star because another one was delivered to us immediately without any problems. We're throwing this one away, though, because we don't want to eat a completely burnt pizza base. All in all, the €39, including the €2 tip, is a waste! We're still looking for a good Italian restaurant that can also make pizza!

We had a lovely evening here. The service was very friendly and professional. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Special requests were accommodated immediately.

Unfortunately, it was an absolute disaster... We had to wait 30 minutes for our starter, and the main course didn't arrive until 40 minutes after the starter. Unfortunately, my main course was the wrong one, so I had to wait again. They didn't even offer any real apologies for that. Don't be fooled by the good reviews! I would never go back, it was awful! A nightmare!

The tables were very close together, and the place was extremely overheated when full, with no air circulation. The staff wasn't unfriendly, but they were aloof. The food was simple. We won't be going back.

*Wonderful experience at Arte Italiana – A must!* ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I was at *Arte Italiana* for the first time today and I was more than pleasantly surprised! I went there with a friend to break my fast, and right from the start the service was fantastic. I asked the waitress to bring our food to coincide with breaking the fast at 6:54 p.m. What particularly impressed us, however, was that, without us asking, we were lovingly served dates to break our fast - a very nice and thoughtful gesture that made the evening even more special. The food was a real taste explosion! Every bite was a pleasure, and you immediately notice that the cooking here is done with a lot of love and dedication. The timing of the meal was perfect, and the service was friendly and attentive throughout. Everything just worked! For me the evening was a clear *10 out of 10*! *Arte Italiana* exceeded my expectations in every way and I will definitely be back. If you want to enjoy Italian cuisine in a perfect ambience, you should definitely visit this restaurant!

Beautiful presentation of cocktails. A complimentary bread plate with sauce and olives is nice and tasty. The 4 cheese pizza was delicious. I didn’t like the pasta with chicken and mushrooms in a creamy sauce: the pasta was sticky, the chicken was dry, and it was too salty.

Went to the restaurant today, on a Saturday, at 9:15 p.m. to order pizza to take away. At this time the pizza oven was already switched off. The restaurant is open until 10 p.m. From the customer's perspective, this is not okay. Maybe consider a different location after 9 p.m.

We spontaneously went to eat here today and enjoyed the first rays of sunshine of the year and an incredibly delicious meal outside. We chose the saffron risotto with two kinds of fish and sea bass + baby calamari with vegetables and potatoes from the daily menu and it was terrific. Plus a very friendly waitress and good service! Absolutely recommended!

Boooaaah, they are good in the kitchen and in the service!! The appetizer platter alone, ordered for one person, is easily enough for two! Very different delicacies, and all super trooper delicious! Spaghetti with plenty of seafood... really doesn't seem to work better anywhere, the pizza is wafer-thin and richly topped and and and... As stated years ago: Arte italiana means preparing Italian food in an artistic and creative way, and that is fully realized in this restaurant!

Ordered via Lieferando. First the delivery instructions were not followed (child woke up, the bell shouldn't be rung), then the wrong pizza was delivered. A new one was delivered when I called. Unfortunately it was inedible, the dough wasn't cooked through and the pizza (Diavolo) was so dripping in fat that you could hardly touch it and there was a trace of fat drippings on the way to the dining table. It's a shame, I thought I'd treat myself to a "good" pizza, puff cake...

Überaus durchschnittlich. Pasta war höchstens ok, Vorspeise ein Witz. Trockenes, dünnes Brot mit einer Tomate und einer halben Mozarella für 12,90. Nur 0,2er Getränke. Bedienung war freundlich, haben aber einen Randplatz bekommen, obwohl alles leer war. Nur das Aioli war wirklich gut. Trotzdem keine Empfehlung.

Ate pizza on the spot with 4, the pizza was very tasty and there was some fresh garlic bread and olives as a starter. The restaurant had sufficient seating, was modern and quiet (we only arrived around 8:30 in the evening). We were bothered by fruit flies while eating, and we had to fish the menu from another empty table ourselves. Pizza and a glass of wine per person cost us about 20 euros pp.

2024_1128: Thanks to the KulinarisCard we got to know this great Italian restaurant. We were completely satisfied, as a starter there was antipasti, very tasty, for the main course a Pizza Diavolo (with a spicy salami, generously topped, they really don't skimp on it) and a Pizza Arte Italiana (pizza in the house style, perfectly prepared). Anyone who is in Wattenscheid should plan a visit there. It's worth it.

Overall a very good restaurant. There was nothing to complain about. The staff is very friendly and responds very well and patiently to children and their “wishes”. The food, whether starter, main course or dessert, is very tasty. Price-performance ratio is completely okay, as the portions are quite large. We would love to come back!

Ordered food via Lieferando and arrived quickly. Unfortunately, the bruschetta was completely shaken up by the trasporr and it was more like a bruschetta salad. That's a shame, but it's not bad, it can happen. What I found worse was that the extra ingredients in the tortellini, which also cost an extra €1.50, were not there. So money paid for a service not received. Unfortunately, even after several attempts, I couldn't reach the restaurant by phone to clarify this. The food tastes great, but unfortunately the service isn't right for me.

It was our first time at Arte Italiana and we felt very comfortable. Very nice staff and very tasty food! We really liked the selection. If there was something to criticize, it would be that our pasta dishes were different "sizes". The truffle tagliatelle could have used a little more pasta. Nevertheless, everyone was full - the tiramisu is highly recommended! We'll definitely come back to try the pizzas :)

I'm writing on behalf of my mother (85), she went out to dinner with a friend on Boxing Day, the food was great, no question, but unfortunately there was a very large dog sitting at the next table and yes, it smelled extremely like a dog. This really spoiled my mother's meal and yes, we love animals, but it was just not acceptable in a situation like that. She didn't dare say anything, sorry. LG

Sehr lange Wartezeit bis das Essen kam

Essen und Service sehr gut und empfehlenswert. Das Ambiente ist okay. Bei unserem Besuch waren 2 lange Tische besetzt, dadurch war es etwas laut, ansonsten sehr nett eingerichtet. Würde jeder Zeit wieder dort speisen.

Sonst immer super zufrieden. Sowohl mit dem Ambiente als auch mit dem Essen. Heute wollten wir um 21:40 Uhr etwas zum abholen bestellen ( geöffnet bis 22 Uhr) leider war dies nicht mehr möglich. Schade. Hier sollte man bei geschlossener Küche seine Öffnungszeiten überlegen.

Wir waren auf der Suche nach einem italienischen Restaurant. Wir haben uns von der Homepage, die original italienische Küche der Familie Tramontana in dritter Generation verspricht, anziehen lassen. Das entspricht nicht der Wahrheit! Die Inhaber sind arabischer/türkischer Herkunft. Die Bedienung war freundlich und sehr bemüht. Das bestellte Gericht (Cannelloni) war lauwarm und hatte mit dem Original nicht viel gemeinsam. Da sollte ein Kochbuch oder das Internet helfen! Es ist wirklich bedauerlich, dass man so betrogen wird.

Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen. Essen gut und die Preise stimmen auch☺️

Es war unser erster Besuch in diesem schönen italienischen Restaurant in der Wattenscheider Innenstadt. Die Begrüßung war sehr freundlich, der Service super und die Nudelgerichte sowie Panna cotta und Tiramisu frisch und sehr lecker.

Eine der besten Pizzerien im Ruhrpott! Pizza klasse - Salat sehr gut. Nettes Personal und eine geschmackvolle Einrichtung runden das Gesamtpaket ab. Dazu kommt, dass man bei gutem Wetter draussen unter Platanen sitzen kann. Da fehlt eigentlich nur noch der Blick auf die Adria. Aber den kann Wattenscheid leider nicht bieten. Ansonsten kann man den Laden bedingungslos empfehlen. Kleines Update: Stark nachlassende Qualität. Mit dem Lieferservice gebrachte Lasagne extrem schlecht und extrem kleine Portion. Zudem die Schale nur zu 3/4 gefüllt. Da fühlt man sich abgezockt!

Das Essen ist sehr lecker, die Atmosphäre gemütlich und die Preise voll in Ordnung. Ein Stern Abzug, weil die scharfe und extra scharfe Pizza nicht wirklich scharf sind.

Sehr leckere Pizza Tonno . Teig nicht zu dick. Pasta hat auch gut geschmeckt. Das Tiramisu war jedoch eher mittelmäßig . Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Allerdings mussten wir Zeit mitbringen, ehe die Bestellung aufgenommen war und dann Getränke auf dem Tisch standen, waren 30 Minuten um.
