The service, the food, the atmosphere are simply top-notch. We've been to Mezzomar many times and have never been disappointed. Full marks!

We stopped here today, Boxing Day, without any great expectations. The whole group was delighted. The food, service, and atmosphere were all top-notch. The portions were surprisingly generous, and the leftovers were packed up and taken home without a word. We'll definitely be back! Thank you so much!

My first visit there, and I have to say I was absolutely thrilled. As a former miner from Saarland, entering the restaurant was already a highlight, and the way the lady who served me... and also her colleagues... was very warm and attentive. I felt very well taken care of 👍🏻 and my pasta dish with the accompanying wine was also delicious. Coming there for dinner was definitely worth it, and I was completely satisfied. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll certainly treat myself to it again.

We had a delicious meal at Mezzomar with four people. The pizzas were very generously topped, the burger was huge with tasty fries, and the pasta with salmon was superb. We had tomato soup as a starter, which tasted great with the toasted bread. The portions were truly enormous.

Unfortunately, I chose this location for our class reunion. If I had known beforehand that we would be asked to pay the bill at 9:15 p.m. because they wanted to close, I would have chosen a different restaurant. The food needed extra seasoning. The pizza wasn't cooked through properly. The ambiance is nice. But it's unsuitable for special occasions if you're being ushered out before the official closing time. Regarding the owner's comment, I would like to state the following: 1. There was no question of being pressured. We were asked to pay at 9:15 p.m. If a restaurant is open until 10:00 p.m., as a customer, I'm not concerned with staff scheduling. 2. I didn't complain about the pizza because I was hungry and also engrossed in conversation with my classmates. And you have to remember, when you see each other again after such a long time, you don't want to spoil the good mood.

Mezzomar impresses with its pleasant atmosphere and consistently delightful cuisine. The pizzas are particularly delicious – thin crust, fresh ingredients, and perfectly baked. The pasta dishes and burgers are also exceptionally good, showcasing the restaurant's versatility. A special mention goes to waitress Tugce Valentina. She is very friendly and attentive, and her positive attitude makes you feel instantly welcome. Her service is quick, warm, and professional – a real plus for the entire restaurant. In short: Mezzomar offers delicious Italian cuisine with personal, warm service. Thanks in particular to Tugce Valentina, it's a place you'll want to return to.

We were a group of eight at Mezzomar on Sunday. The food was underwhelming. The pizza was too soggy and the schnitzel too dry. Furthermore, the grappa was served in shot glasses. That's simply unacceptable. The server informed us that there were only two grappa glasses. She exchanged the glasses and immediately pointed out that one of them had a sharp edge. Absolutely unacceptable. At 9:15 p.m., they made it clear that the restaurant was closing. We had a small class reunion and were quite disappointed.

What a fantastic atmosphere!! Especially the waitress, Ms. Sonntag, was exceptionally friendly and attentive, as was the owner, Ali, whom we were lucky enough to meet. November 2025: We gave the place another chance today. Good thing we did. Despite the restaurant being packed, the service and the kitchen were quick and friendly, and the quality was excellent again. Thanks for a lovely evening. Update: Unfortunately, the last two visits weren't so enjoyable. To begin with: The staff is still fantastic, friendly, and attentive. Unfortunately, the kitchen is really declining. The pizzas are still good. On my second-to-last visit, my pasta was way too salty, and they gave me a tiramisu as an apology. Yesterday, the bread for the bruschetta wasn't toasted at all, and then we waited forever. Then the burger arrived with ham, even though we ordered it without. The server noticed this when they put it down. And honestly, a salad for €19.00 with fried chicken that's completely hard, maybe 120 grams, and otherwise just mixed greens, is outrageous. Anyone charging those prices has to deliver the corresponding quality. The salad definitely shouldn't cost more than €11.00. The kitchen really needs to improve. We were very disappointed yesterday. We had a great evening there. Great staff, super relaxing chill music in the background, and amazing pizza. We'd love to come back.

Mezzomar gave us a fabulous evening in every respect, one that was truly flawless. There is a diverse selection of drinks and dishes, including several vegan options, that left nothing to be desired. The portions were extremely generous and satisfied everyone, and most importantly, everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food. The incredibly friendly and attentive staff are masters of their craft, always there when needed without ever being intrusive. Every extra request, such as garlic oil for the pizza, was promptly fulfilled. This was truly a restaurant experience par excellence, where every detail was perfect; the only downside was that we didn't have time to stay for another meal.

We got married at the Mezzomar Dorsten in October 2025 – and it couldn't have been better! It all began with the preparations, during which our contact, Ali, was extremely supportive and accommodating, always willing to listen to our needs. We found the preparations very straightforward, and communication with Ali was always very warm and supportive. On the day itself, everything went just as smoothly. When we arrived at the venue, we (and all our guests) were overwhelmed by how beautifully everything was decorated and designed. I received a lot of positive feedback about how accommodating the staff was. The food was delicious and lovingly prepared. Overall, we felt that everyone on the team (a great example is our waitress, Eileen) put in a lot of effort, going above and beyond the "normal." There were fireworks for the wedding cake, a confetti cannon to kick off the party, and Ali, who was also our DJ, created such a great atmosphere that we and our guests were totally thrilled by the end. We probably couldn't have celebrated anywhere better, and we are truly grateful for that. 🥰 We can wholeheartedly recommend celebrating at Mezzomar to any wedding couple.

If you order the vegan schnitzel, you'll get dry fries and a dry schnitzel. No sauce, no love. If you ask for sauce, the answer is "no way." How can you put something like that on the menu? If you ask for mayonnaise, you get 20 ml from a plastic sachet. Have the chefs ever eaten that themselves?

Communication with the chef was straightforward, we were able to put together a small menu, and all our wishes were taken into account. We were welcomed with a small, surprise wedding dance (thanks again for that), the appetizers were already on the table, and everyone enjoyed the food! We will definitely come back again. We sat outside in the conservatory; the ambiance was fantastic; we felt comfortable. The service was excellent; the evening was truly lovely.

Yesterday, Sunday, I cycled from Herten to Dorsten. I arrived at 8:55 p.m., and at that time, there were only two tables occupied. Unfortunately, the kitchen had already closed. I drank a wheat beer, which was significantly overpriced at €5.80. The restrooms were dirty, and the toilet paper and paper towels were empty. I won't be coming back and can't recommend this restaurant. I can't comment on the quality of the food.

We ate there on Saturday and were seated in the sheltered outdoor seating area. It was very loud inside, like a train station concourse; the noise level was very high. The service was good and friendly; we ordered drinks and our favorite dishes: curry noodles and three different bruschettas. The noodles hadn't been salted, and the bruschetta was soggy and oily. The bread was already soggy, perhaps due to the wait. It's a shame; it wasn't a delicious meal.

"The Italy style" - don't know what's supposed to be Italian about it, ordered the "Surf and Turf" pizza - you just take Dr. Oetker Pizza and carelessly put 4 tasteless frozen shrimps and 4 pieces of dead fried beef on it and charge 22.00 euros for it - the waitress's lips were plumpered - thank you very much and not again

The Mezzomar Dorsten is definitely one of the best restaurants I have visited so far. Everything is perfect here, from the excellent service to the pleasant atmosphere to the fantastic food. Particularly noteworthy is the operations manager Ali, who ensures that you feel completely comfortable. I will definitely come back and recommend the restaurant to anyone looking for a first class dining experience!

After a bit of hunger we ended up in this restaurant to have something to eat. What can I say? The cocktails are average, and the pizzas are Mediterranean style - not Neapolitan, but still very good. Prices are average. The only negative thing about this place is the smell that comes from outside. I hope it's not always like this, but yesterday it was really unbearable.

Went to Mezzomar for a bachelorette party with 12 people and were served very nicely by the boss. The bride even got a cocktail with a sparkler free of charge :) Everyone really enjoyed the food too!

One of the best pizzas I've eaten recently. The combo with the Caesar salad on the pizza was out of this world. The pizzas are not cheap, but the toppings were very generous, so it was absolutely within reason. We'd love to come back.

The New Year's Eve party 2024/25 was great, the appetizer too, we were a bit disappointed with the buffet that followed. It wasn't as varied as expected. I was also hoping for more from the bedside table. The staff and the DJ were great and the atmosphere was great too. The fireworks were amazing! Overall, a nice evening.

Apparently the chef didn't care whether the food tasted good, the main thing was e it looks good. Yes, if you run out of cocktail tomatoes, you can replace them with more chili peppers for the look, but the taste is rather off. Plus, the noodles were good for toothless guests.

We had a great New Year's Eve. It was fun, the food was good and so was the audience. There is one negative point, however, because the music was much too loud, so you had to write down to chat. Otherwise it was very nice and we would like to come back.

A 3-course Christmas menu is advertised both on the website and in a separate menu at the table (which is why we explicitly reserved a table for 14 people there for Christmas Day). When we ordered we were told that we couldn't order the Christmas menu and were treated extremely unfriendly by a waitress. We were promised a free dessert, but it wasn't brought to us. Sorry, but that's not how I want to be treated as a customer.

Unfortunately, quite a failure. Came specifically for the Christmas menu, only to find out that the Christmas menu isn't available at Christmas. Yes, no, it's clear.... And NO, we were not informed about this beforehand, otherwise we would have canceled the reservation. As an owner, I find it incredibly bold to claim that.

Our experiences are mixed. The burger was really tasty, but my companion's schnitzel was unfortunately hard and slightly burnt, and the fries were in the deep fryer for too long. The ambience is actually very cool, but the dining room is a bit too crowded with tables and chairs. The waitress was quick and polite, which we really appreciated.

It was a wonderful evening, the employees were all humorous and kind, the food was very good and the drinks were especially good. As "neighbours", we live across the street in the settlement, we often eat here. Even without a reservation, the two of us always managed to get a seat. When the boss is in the house, the service is perfect. “Beers for you two?” 😉 Unfortunately, we have often noticed that when he is not there, the employees are a little busy with other things. The food is always good, sufficient and tasty. The drinks are brought quickly and are also very good.
