Had dinner here yesterday with good friends. We have never eaten such a bad pizza anywhere. The pizza was as thin as a beer mat....hardly seasoned and rock hard and unfortunately, to make matters worse, it was just lukewarm. Our friend's pasta dish was also only lukewarm....and not Tasty. Unfortunately, the price/performance ratio here is not right at all....by the way, the crispbread pizza cost €22. For us, definitely NEVER again! 🙈

Was there at the weekend and was really pleasantly surprised. The service is 1A, and of course the food too! I like to drive from Düsseldorf to Dorsten to spend an evening there.

Had a spontaneous meal here yesterday. The waiters were very nice. The food was served quickly and I enjoyed it very much. I felt very comfortable here thanks to the service and had fun eating. Gladly again!

The waiter was super nice, unfortunately the dish wasn't prepared as requested, there were ingredients on the burger that weren't desired. After this was noted, the dish was remade. The four of us ate and sometimes had to wait a long time for our food + everything arrived differently. I had to ask three times for mayo and ketchup, which were thrown on the table in small plastic bags, the food was very greasy and not particularly tasty. Unfortunately it cannot be compared with the Mezzomar in Borken (top shop). The menu had a very limited selection. Due to the circumstances, the waiter gave us a drink on the house (great guy).

Went there again with friends and were once again very satisfied! The service and food is great and the ambience is unique. Absolute recommendation from us.

We've been there for a long time and everything has always been great. This time the lasagna had little taste. The Spaghetti Cabonara tasted strongly of cinnamon. The kitchen said it was due to the high-quality bacon. According to Google, there could be a mold (deoxynivalenol) behind it, which could be due to the pasta producer and not the kitchen. I didn't think the reaction was appropriate.

The food was really tasty again today: antipasti, pasta, burgers, salad and fries 1a. The service was super friendly. Portions were plentiful: if there was too much, we could take it home. The ambience of the old colliery building with modern furnishings exudes a very special flair. On Friday evenings it can get fuller and of course louder at the neighboring table. It's best to reserve a table online beforehand!

All in all, a very tastefully decorated restaurant with higher priced food, but all of which tasted very good. The service was attentive and friendly. We each ordered starters and main courses. Unfortunately we only had about 5 minutes for the starter before the main course arrived. So it was a case of “leave the starter” or let the main course get cold. This spoiled the overall impression somewhat. Otherwise recommended

Very nicely furnished, very comfortable and clean, the ice cream is very tasty 😋, you can eat inside or outside, you can go there with children and also with a wheelchair, the staff are very friendly, my family and I always go would love to go again 💗🤗

It started with the waiting time at reception, which you could have ignored, but then the drama began. The drinks arrived in 30 minutes. after recording. We were asked if we would like the starter separately from the main course, to which we said yes. After a while we were asked whether it would be bad if the two came together. The food was served but one dish was wrong. Deliveries were made when the others had already finished despite eating slowly. To make matters worse, all the empty glasses were pushed to the front of the table, which of course went unnoticed. After a report that was obviously overlooked by the staff but not by other guests who also drew the staff's attention, another drink order was taken. After asking twice, a cocktail came warm without ice as pictured. However, I would like to add that I have eaten at different restaurants in the chain and have always been satisfied. The food here was also very good.

When the weather is nice you can sit outside, the large fountain creates a pleasant atmosphere. Food is really great, highly recommended.

We were there on Friday, August 9th, 2024. First I have to say that I find it sad that you can't order the food until the drink is there. When I saw the prices, I knew why the store deals like that. The restaurant is really very expensive, €18 for a mediocre burger, which by the way took a long time, and €6.10 for a 0.5L soft drink. Unfortunately, the fries arrived lukewarm and half were eaten cold. The meal probably took so long that they ordered another drink for over €6. Furthermore, the tables for 2 people in the winter garden are really small. And mayo and ketchup in small plastic bags, I don't think that has to be the case these days. We probably won't go there again.

Unfortunately it became very expensive 😕

We wanted to have a coffee at 10:30 p.m. After all, according to Google, the restaurant should be open until midnight. Unfortunately, we were spoken to in an unfriendly manner by the waitress while she was processing payment at the other table, telling us that they were about to close and had the last round running. We weren't greeted either. Ultimately we left because we didn't want to cause any trouble for the lady... All the tables outside were occupied and there were also guests inside. So we wouldn't have been the only guests.

I had dinner there with work colleagues for the Germany-Switzerland public viewing and it was really great. My pizza was huge and delicious. But the service was particularly outstanding! 😍

Spent a pleasant evening with friends in the beautiful outdoor area. As always, the food was delicious, unfortunately the prices have increased quite a bit. The waitress Anja was particularly great. It would be great if you always met such ambitious, friendly people. Her manner didn't make the evening any better.

Maybe I'm just too old for the Mezzomar.... I find it absolutely too loud, the food is no more than mediocre and the drinks are really expensive. Staff friendly but more fake than genuine. Ok, but nothing more, although the store is actually really cool 😎 in terms of location and location.

We stayed at MezzoMar this past weekend and had a great experience. The Neapolitan pasta was delicious and the Cesare pizza we tried was an interesting and tasty take on a Cesare salad. The service was extremely courteous and the staff always asked if everything was OK. The price-performance ratio was absolutely right. All around a positive experience – we would love to come back!

Have eaten here many times and wanted to end the evening comfortably. The terrace outside wasn't even half full and the service seemed overwhelmed. Even the help of two colleagues did not have the desired effect. What's so difficult about it when the table is empty - go there, wipe it, put the cutlery down, put salt and pepper on it and you're good. We had to keep asking when we ordered three drinks. Bruschetta was very tasty, but it would have been a highlight with a napkin or in general if there had been cutlery at the table. In general I found everyone quite haphazard that evening. The pizza base was very thin and hard. The occupancy was also very poor. Well, what should you expect for a €18.50 pizza. ! Attention irony! Don't know if I'll try it again. Thanks for the quick and completely inaccurate answer. Many tables were missing cutlery and some even had to get up and get salt and pepper. I didn't talk about dirty tables. Just read it properly. In general, many tables were not set and we waited at the front and were allowed to choose a table that was not completely stocked. Whatever, it was the last time.

Super delicious food and very friendly staff. We were there last Saturday and had lunch. You can also have a great chat with the staff and in general there was just a nice atmosphere there. Always my pleasure!

Unfortunately I can't say anything positive at all. Food came, cutlery was missing. Although service passed the table several times, empty glasses were simply not noticed, so you had to pay attention. Many would probably be happy about the amount of pasta (spaghetti carbonara). Sorry, I've already managed to eat a lot, but there are still 795g of pasta left. Yes, that is probably my feeling and probably not negative for many people. We've been there very often and the service has always been very good and attentive. After the food arrived, we asked a short time later whether everything was OK. None, nothing this time.

We came to Dorsten 3 months ago, my wife and I ate 2 pizzas, the pizza was topped with some mozzarella cheese and the tomato sauce looked like toilet water. The edges of the pizza were serrated like wood cut with a chainsaw, and it wasn't round, but rather triangular in appearance. On Friday when we came back I only ate pannacotta because I was traumatized by the pizza from three months ago, my wife who loves pizza ordered pepperoni pizza. The panna cotta was delicious and had a perfect texture, and the pizza this time was crispy, well seasoned and super round with golden raised edges. Super perfect, it looked like a museum. I asked the dark-haired waitress how is it possible to have such a perfect pizza today while the one from three months ago was weird? His answer was simply that today the pizza is perfect because Diego Maradona made it, but when the pizza is made by the boss, he makes it with a rolling pin and it comes out strange... Congratulations for Maradona, but an Italian one Restaurant should not Never use a rolling pin. Next time I come I will only order the pizza on the condition that it is made by Maradona. I recommend Maradona's pizza to all customers

I was at Mezzomar today with my four-year-old daughter and I'm just so excited. In addition to the delicious food, I was so touched by how Eileen treated my daughter. Eileen included her in everything, didn't talk about her, but with her and simply met her at eye level. That was just wonderful!! Thank you for this great experience! I've never experienced that before. Unfortunately, children are often perceived as a nuisance in the catering industry.

In terms of service, very good. The food was just satisfactory for us. The pizza 🍕 was only lukewarm and the lasagne on top was slightly charred and didn't taste good. The taste was completely missing. Some store-bought lasagna is better. A pity.

We are always super satisfied there. We've already had 2 larger celebrations there and everything went smoothly. Very nice staff, super tasty and fresh food and the price was absolutely right. The boss is an absolute treasure and the rest of the staff always tries to do everything possible to make the guests feel comfortable. I can only warmly recommend the Mezzomar.

Extremely unprofessional and unfriendly staff! Never again! Leave the restaurant immediately. There were two signs in the entrance area that read: “Please only enter after consultation with the staff.” There were two guests directly in front of us who ignored this advice (lady and gentleman, probably a married couple) and simply kept walking. An employee approached the couple and asked if they had made a reservation. The lady replied: “No, we haven’t made a reservation. Can we have the (addition: best and last) table there by the window?” Employee: “Yes, no problem. We (my wife and I) stood behind it and were able to hear the conversation. My wife politely mentioned that we had made a reservation two weeks ago and asked which table was reserved for us. The employee replied rudely: “Nobody at all, we could sit in an area where no guests were already sitting (addition: much less attractive area)”. We again politely asked whether we, as guests with a reservation, could have the table by the window. The employee barked at us: “No, we noticed that the table was gone” ... Yes, we have that the employee is extremely rude and unprofessional (and I would also say unqualified), she apparently didn't notice. Brazen guests are given preferential treatment in this restaurant, guests who reserve in advance are rudely “dismissed” Unfortunately I can't report on the quality of the food as I will never eat in this restaurant!

We were at Mezzomar Dorsten on April 2nd, 2024, after our civil wedding. The table was beautifully prepared and decorated. Everything was implemented according to our wishes. The service was top and there was even a little surprise with a fountain from the house. We would like to thank the Mezzomar team for contributing so much to our wonderful day. See you next time.

A very friendly and open welcome. Great service and above all fast. The portion sizes are just right and sometimes a little more. However, if you ask at the end if they can pack it up, they are so nice and you get the food back straight away without having to wait long. Good atmosphere for chatting - not too loud. Nobody was rushing around and had time to take the orders.

Really disappointed. Usually we always drove to Dorsten specifically for the pizza. Waited a long time for the food, even though we had reserved the table at 6 p.m. Pizza was actually better, strange shape and the salmon tasted strange. The service is underground. We waited 30 minutes for a cola and a latte and when we said we wanted to pay, this wasn't even passed on to the responsible colleagues. Agreements were zero, even though the store wasn't even fully reserved. I don't have to go there again, that's for sure!

We went here for breakfast for the first time. Simple buffet, English breakfast, coffee and juice as much as you wanted. Friendly service, clean toilet. We will be back. Tasty, overpriced and loud. Pizza was good, a little more topping up to the edge would be good, the edge doesn't have to be 3-5 cm wide. Pizzas up to around €22 are a lot of money. Unfortunately the acoustics were very loud, a bit of soundproofing on the ceiling and walls can help.

We were there yesterday evening. The restaurant was very busy. After we had to wait 10 minutes at the registration desk, we were assigned the table in the toilets and in the waiter's room despite having booked early. It was to be expected that there would be very long waiting times due to the high level of activity. However, the fact that it took so long was almost outrageous. We waited 15 minutes until we could order our drinks and another 15 minutes until they were delivered. The meal then took another 40 minutes. The wait for the food was understandable as the restaurant was fully booked. However, during the entire waiting time, no one even asked for new drinks, even though the glasses were empty. When the plates were cleared, people asked if everything was OK. After that, no waiter was ever seen or attentive again. We got there at 7:15 p.m. and due to the long waiting times we wanted to pay at 9:10 p.m. We told the waiter. He said he would come immediately. After he had cashed in on two other tables and disappeared again, after 20 minutes we again made the waiters' attention to us that we would like to pay. After another 10 minutes someone finally came to collect. It was now just after 10:30, the shop was no longer so full and there were still enormous waiting times. It is certainly clear to everyone that there will be longer waiting times on such an evening, but this was a disgrace, especially since they only asked after the meal whether everything was OK.

The starters were super tasty. The main courses weren't that great. The risotto was very watery, the pesto was very bland and the pasta wasn't even aldente, which is why I can unfortunately only give the food 2 stars. I'm sorry. Maybe had a bad day. The service was super nice and quick. The atmosphere was very nice and you could chat in peace.

The food is good and the service is nice too, but if you always have to wait more than an hour for your food and there seem to be too few service staff, you can't give it more than 2 stars. There also seems to be no order in the distribution of food, as we sometimes get our food before people who were here before us, but sometimes we also have to see 3 tables at the same time who came after us but got their food before us. We arrived at 7:15 p.m. and sat until 8:15 p.m. when we spoke to a waitress who told us that the kitchen was in full swing and that she was sorry. So the conclusion is that there are too few service staff and you have to wait far too long for your food. The organization gets a 0 out of 10.
