A super nice restaurant with very delicious food and great service.

Nice restaurant, good atmosphere and pleasant seating, but far too expensive and a far cry from Naples. Prices: water €7.90, small Coke €3.80 (0.2l) – I almost fell off my chair! Two people €54 for pizza – we're still talking about flour and water here.

Fantastic pizza experience: The dough was beautifully thin, the crust perfectly crispy, and the ingredients were high quality. The pizza comes very close to authentic Neapolitan pizza. I had one with burrata. Absolutely delicious. Pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff.

There's nothing wrong with the food, but the prices of the soft drinks are, in my opinion, exorbitant. A liter of water costs over €7; beer is cheaper than the water! And in the end, you can only pay in cash. Anyone who doesn't have enough cash on them has no choice but to walk to the nearest ATM after eating. They could at least inform customers about this beforehand.

I lived in Naples for a while and can say that this restaurant serves absolutely authentic, high-quality pizza. The seating is also very comfortable. Everything would be perfect, really – but I unfortunately have to deduct one star because they only accept cash. I simply can't understand that in 2025. The four of us had a bill of over €100 and only by sheer luck did we have just enough cash on us. In a higher-class establishment like this, card payment should be standard. Aside from that: Great pizza, friendly service, a wonderful evening.

The food was fine, but I'm disappointed that suddenly only cash payments are accepted. In this day and age, cashless payment should be standard – many people hardly carry cash anymore. Superb appetizers, and the pizza is unique in Düsseldorf and the surrounding area. The service is more than just good and very friendly. While they don't accept card payments, there's a Sparkasse bank across the street that offers 24/7 cash withdrawals. The waiter kindly explained that they no longer offer card payments because the fees are very high and would otherwise increase the price for customers. I was very satisfied with my visit and will gladly return. Highly recommended for lovers of Italian cuisine!

The pizza was excellent, and the atmosphere was great too. The only slight drawback is their online reservation tool. You don't receive a confirmation after booking; the restaurant has to approve the reservation first. Several times now, I've had the experience of finding they were fully booked for my reservation time when they didn't get back to me. I only received confirmation after calling them. Update: Previously, card payments were always accepted without any problems, but now they only accept cash. This is simply outdated and, frankly, a bit suspicious for a restaurant where you spend a lot of money. We had to walk to the ATM. It was very inconvenient and disappointing, so I unfortunately have to deduct another star.

Pizza is great - little bit overpriced but okay; What is super frustrating is that is cash only, and that can frustrate a lot especially if you did not know that - in 2025 in digital era, to run 15 mins on rain to pick up cash - because the restaurant thought that is the right policy 😂 such policies are killing the national tourism, thats why 1 star.

Yesterday, I enjoyed another wonderful evening at Thewaytonapoli with my son. A little piece of vacation after a stressful week with atmospheric music in a beautiful ambiance, excellent service, and full-bodied wine paired with extremely tasty dishes. The truffle pasta is amazing. And the appetizer plate... Oh, just take a look for yourself. 😍

For me, this is easily the best pizza in Düsseldorf. The taste is unique, and the pizzas are made fresh with good ingredients. Depending on the day of the week, the place is either completely empty or fully booked, so it's always best to call ahead.

We had a reservation with a larger group of about 10 people, and everything went smoothly; we didn't have to wait long. The food was delicious, but the tuna pizza was a bit different than expected, but it was still very tasty. It's a bit more expensive than some other places, but the decor is appropriate. The staff was nice and friendly! Highly recommended!

I've had the pleasure of eating countless excellent Neapolitan pizzas, including in Naples. And what can I say? The Way To Napoli easily competes with the great Neapolitan pizza chefs. The attention to detail, the quality of the individual ingredients... everything is perfect. The menu also features some unusual and exciting pizza variations. The very attentive and friendly service completes a truly fantastic pizza experience.

The atmosphere is nice and the pizza is pretty good🍕 I ordered the truffle mayo as a dipping sauce for the butt of my pizza, and I highly recommend it! We came here as a group of girls for dinner. It was very nicely decorated. However, the service was a bit slow. While very friendly, they were a bit clumsy when it came to wine recommendations and opening the door. Clearing the empty plates also took a while, despite the restaurant being less busy. The starter could have been a bit more spicy, but the pizzas were all very tasty. All in all, we would still come back.

Beautiful terrace, good pizza – but disappointing service The summer terrace is truly beautiful, and the pizza tasted very good – unfortunately, that was the only positive aspect of our visit. The service left a lot to be desired. When we asked about the ingredients in the Aperol, we were told that they didn't use Prosecco, but rather an unclear blend – without further explanation. When we asked for the pizza to be served sliced, we were met with an annoyed eye roll. There was one paper napkin for three people. When we paid, we were only given the amount verbally. Only after repeated requests did we receive a printed receipt. Furthermore, various comments made it clear that tips were expected – even in a rude manner. Overall, a place with potential, but unfortunately, the tone of the conversation detracted greatly from the overall experience. We won't be returning.

In general, the pizzas tasted good. Unfortunately, the base of my pizza was so thin that it probably broke during cooking. Several ingredients were already sold out and couldn't be provided (Saturday evening around 7:30 p.m.), but alternatives were offered. Focaccia bread is available with all sorts of different ingredients for a very high price of almost €20. A simple version with olive oil for a lower price wasn't offered to us. Accordingly, the flexibility isn't sufficient. But I'll still come back and see if we just caught a bad day.

The pizza came with pesto topping, Kalamata olives, avocado, and buffalo mozzarella. Very tasty :-) You'll need to have a bit more money, though. The drink prices are quite high. I find them a bit excessive.

I'm totally shocked that this restaurant has a 4.7. We probably should have had pizza. The carpaccio was a disaster. The bresola was completely out of a bag and not freshly cut. All the slices were the same thickness, the same size, and equally inedible. The salad had a lot of salad dressing and was extremely weak. Two bites, then I sent it back. My wife's pasta with pesto was ordinary and poorly prepared. The pesto tasted store-bought and not homemade. The staff was nice, but a bit overwhelmed with us. The wine, Lugano, was great. It was probably our first and last visit... Although, maybe the pizza with the Lugano. Oh yes, I had to pay for the entire meal. A good restaurant would have accommodated us. Not professionals.

The restaurant has a really nice interior and is centrally located, with very good public transport connections. Parking, however, is rather difficult. The service was friendly, but unfortunately not particularly attentive. And when they were, they naturally wanted to offer/sell you something extra. The prices are rather high. It's nice that they offer creative and unusual variations. Unfortunately, the selection for vegetarians is very limited. Upon request, however, they prepared a custom pizza for me. That was a good thing. I was really looking forward to a pizza Margherita with mushrooms (basically a fungi pizza), but unfortunately, the mushrooms were inedible for me: very thickly sliced, with a strange consistency, and difficult to classify the taste. When I asked, I was told that they were pickled. Unfortunately, there was no concession, even though I removed the mushrooms completely. I thought that was a shame! Overall, the pizza looked very good, but the taste didn't convince me.

We just had pizza and the food was unfortunately not fresh. The mushrooms were not fresh and the cheese definitely not a fresh fior di latte. All in all, it was far too expensive for the comparatively poor quality. When I asked about it, I made this known. Instead of trying to make amends and maybe give something on the house (as is the case in all other restaurants when something is not good), they charged us the full price. When I tried to pay by card, they didn't give me a receipt either; I had to go back to the restaurant and request one. I am very annoyed and would advise everyone not to come here. A world away from good, fresh Napolitana pizza! It's a shame, but I hope I can spare others this negative experience.

My meal only arrived halfway through... I arrived at the restaurant at around 9:10 p.m.: I ordered a Pizza Imperator with extra mozzarella, a soufflé to finish, and a Coke. I waited about 10-15 minutes for my pizza and finished it at around 9:47 p.m. They then took my plate away, and I waited, waited, waited (I looked at the waiter several times, who also looked back at me) and then asked at 10:30 p.m.... if my soufflé would take much longer? Unfortunately, they forgot or misunderstood: Apparently, the person thought I was undecided about my soufflé and had ordered the extra mozzarella instead, and that's enough for most people. I was then asked if a tiramisu would be okay, because they had already closed the kitchen, and the other person seriously asked me when I had ordered a general order. I probably would have ordered "too late"... Well, that's a shame. I thought the pizza was quite tasty, but the end result was very unsatisfying.

We went there one weekday evening without a reservation and had a fantastic Neapolitan pizza! The crust was fluffy and the ingredients were fresh. Definitely a Düsseldorf favorite in the pizza category.

Truly excellent pizza, the prawns in a clay pot were good, but not above average. However, I expect an Italian restaurant to be child-friendly. We asked if we could have the tagliatelle offered on the menu simply with butter or tomato sauce. They said no. So, unfortunately, it's not a restaurant we would go to again with our children.

Leckere, fluffige Pizza mit interessanten Variantionen. Als Vorspeise kam der „gemischte antipastiteller“ und der war richtig gut. Das Bruschetta kommt auf einem pizzaboden = Klasse. Die Gambas in chilliöl sind sehr zu empfehlen. Als Hauptspeise hatte ich eine sehr leckere Pizza mit Spinat, Gorgonzola und Rosmarinkartoffelcarpacchio = Sehr lecker.

5 stars – 100% Italian authenticity! As an Italian who moved to Düsseldorf, finding a pizzeria that really knows how to describe Italy in every bite is rare... but here we really are! This pizzeria is a corner of Italy in the heart of Germany: from the quality of the ingredients to the passion with which each pizza is prepared, everything smells of home. Here we don't just sell food, but culture, tradition, true Italianness. It's not just a pizzeria: it's an experience. Super recommended, especially if you want to taste real Italian pizza like you would make at home. A place that makes you feel proud to be Italian. Great Mimo and Enzo!

Really delicious Neapolitan style pizzas. Almost too much choice for my taste. 😅 Small deduction for the red wine, which was really far too warm and probably sat in the sun at the bar for too long. And one request: you open bottled wine at the table, even in relaxed, simple pizzerias. 👋

So the service was very bad. First of all we were moved from our table. Then we ordered and the waiter forgot to order. People who came after us got their food before us. We waited at least 30 minutes for food. The food is good, you can't say anything against it. Then we wanted to pay and had to wait a long time until someone came and instead of getting a discount or something like that, they still wanted to get a tip because of the waiting time. Overall poor service, good food.

The best pizza I've eaten in a long time. I actually only like pizza very thin, but the thick crust is the highlight and if you order a dip with it, it's just incredibly tasty. I will definitely eat/order my pizza here more often.

I ordered La Parmigiana, unfortunately the aubergines were raw. The biggest problem was the dough, which is the main ingredient of a pizza. I don't think I've ever had a pizza with such tasteless dough in a restaurant of this quality.

This was matched by the service, which was attentive and courteous throughout our visit to the restaurant. 5/5 It was clean and well maintained. The furnishings are good and so is the seating. The same applies to the toilets. 4/5 We were not disappointed with the main reason for our visit, the food, and the very good ratings are justified in our opinion and taste. Of course we had pizza. Plenty of toppings, original, very good ingredients, great base! The very good espresso for dessert was the icing on the cake! 5/5 The prices were very good for the quality. I ordered a pesto dip there today, so far so good. When we were finished and paid, the waitress put our already used dip at the table next door and used it there too (spoon not exchanged or anything else) I find it absolutely unhygienic and not okay, and we weren't informed beforehand that this would happen, which is why the pizza crust was dipped directly into the container.
