★☆☆☆☆ (0 stars if possible) Unfortunately, absolutely disappointing and definitely not recommended. Upon arrival, we received an extremely unfriendly welcome. Our reservation for an outdoor table was rejected with the words, "That's your problem, you can see it's full." After waiting for over 25 minutes, we were seated at a makeshift table inside – with the message, "Take this one, you have no other choice." The staff were consistently rude and overwhelmed. When we asked for a table, the waiter simply turned around and walked away without saying a word. After guests at the neighboring table warned us that they had already been waiting for their food for 1.5 hours, we wanted to leave. The waiter assured us that "it would only take 20 minutes – but only if we order pasta." This wasn't true either: After 45 minutes, the food finally arrived. The atmosphere was loud and chaotic – the staff were audibly arguing among themselves, seemed hectic, and completely disorganized. It was by far the worst dining experience I've ever had. Never again.

The pizza was good and arrived quickly, but the service was less so. We were only there for about 20 minutes after cycling, ate a pizza, wanted to leave quickly, and didn't have anything to drink – but we were still treated condescendingly, as if we were unwanted. This came not only from the service, but also from the manager himself, with an indirect joke. We didn't take anyone's seat, but it still felt like an indirect punishment. It's a shame – that's not what hospitality looks like.

Great pasta at reasonable prices

It's a shame, I asked the restaurant if I could use the restrooms and offered to put something in the "coffee fund." This request was declined. I don't see anything in myself that would lead to a refusal of this polite and urgent request from a passerby, nor can the restaurant's business (zero guests at 11:30 a.m.) be a plausible reason for doing so. In my view, it's simply a misguided approach to service, considering a problem that can affect any of us on a regular basis. My criticism is deliberately directed neither at the food itself nor at the ambiance.

Unfortunately not. We were just walking through Oberkassel and wanted to use the restroom. Unfortunately, we were denied access, even though we had paid for it. What would have happened if we were traveling with a child or a woman was on her period? Sorry, but that's a human right! I wouldn't eat there either. Simply inhumane.

Unfortunately, my visit to Pizzeria Fratelli was more than disappointing. The staff, especially the slightly older gentleman with gray hair, were not just unfriendly; disrespectful and presumptuous was more accurate. I can't understand how they treat their guests like that.

The "Germanized" version of the food didn't meet the Italian cuisine expectations. There was Panna no mascarpone in the Tiramisu and I am doubtful about the quality of the cheese on the pizza. Besides the service, all the rest was very disappointing. 10.50€ for a Tiramisu made with Panna is just Crazy!!!

The food is really sensational, I have rarely eaten such good pasta and pizza in my life. The service is also very nice and a waiter is always there for a d. It's also easy to get to this place since there's a subway station practically right outside the door. The ambience is also nice and it's a very cute little place. I can recommend everyone to try the good food and in my opinion this is the best Italian in Oberkassel.

The pizza was okay, but nothing special. What really stood out, however – and this is consistent with many other reviews – was the behavior of an older waiter with gray hair. Friendliness and service don't seem to be a priority here. When paying, one of us asked for the bill to be split accordingly, which should really be a given. The reaction? Rude, annoyed, and with the comment that we would have to figure it out ourselves. Ultimately, it was reluctantly done, but the way it was handled was anything but customer-friendly. Added to that is the questionable policy that card payments are only possible for amounts over €20. A practice that's hard to understand these days – especially in a district like Oberkassel, where there are many alternatives. For us, it's clear: It's not worth a visit; there are much better restaurants in the area with friendlier staff. If you value good service, you'd be better off looking elsewhere.

Unfortunately, the restaurant was disappointing. The waiters seemed stressed and rather unfriendly, making us feel less than welcome. The food wasn't particularly impressive either – it was mediocre at best, and the ingredients seemed rather cheap. It's a shame, but it was probably our last visit.

We weren't satisfied. Had a salad and had to pay another €4.5 for a small spoonful of Parmesan cheese on the salad. I remember that we arrived as a group with a reservation and were unfortunately treated very unfriendly. Despite our reservation, several other guests were given preferential treatment and when we politely asked, we were turned away in what I felt was a very rude tone. In addition, it was very difficult to find an alternative to dinner that evening because it was already quite late. This experience left me with the impression that the customer service that evening was not adequate. I believe that such situations could have been resolved differently and in a more customer-friendly manner. I haven't visited the restaurant since this incident.

Best pizza and pasta, and a very nice team

Overall good restaurant, recommended. Unfortunately, I can only give one star for the following reason: After paying with the EC card, the waiter said it didn't work. I then paid cash. When I got home I discovered that the debit had actually worked, so I had paid twice. Unfortunately, attempts to contact us (by phone and email) were apparently ignored. We can really only recommend Frattelli. The food is very tasty and always has the same quality after many visits. The service is courteous remembers guests and is very friendly. It's always very quick and is also very suitable for lunch. In summary “Simply great”

I've been going here for years. Either alone, with friends or with family. And for all kinds of occasions. We celebrated the start of each of our children's holidays and the end of their holidays here and have many cool memories with the restaurant. The staff is funny, friendly and very attentive. If you would like to come with several people, then a reservation definitely makes sense because the restaurant is very busy. In summer there is a really great atmosphere - especially when you sit outside. Of course it also depends on the location. I can only highly recommend it and I can't understand the negative reviews here.

We have been to the Fratelli several times now and in principle there is nothing wrong with the price-performance ratio. The food is delicious, the service is fast and there is also an outdoor area in summer. It's generally nice to spend time here. Unfortunately, we noticed again and again that a certain waiter stood out because of his negative attitude. His bad mood is noticeable in the entire ambience, service and time spent there. During the visit you even wonder if you have done something wrong and feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. That's a real shame and we hope that improvements will be made in the future so that your stay will be completely enjoyable again.

Service is very poor. I waited over 5 min at the door with no one to come and assist me only for me to approach the staff who told me there is no space when half of the resto was empty. Extremely poor service, never again!!!!

Had a quick stop there to get something to eat for lunch. I received a very warm welcome and everything was very clean and nicely decorated (for Christmas). The carpaccio and salad were very good. The prawns were perfectly seared and were not cooked through. Everything came very quickly despite a good lunchtime crowd. I'd love to come back.

Even though there are a lot of Italian restaurants in Oberkassel, the pizza is better almost everywhere in the city than in Oberkassel. Fratelli has the best pizza in Oberkassel. For a good pizza, I would always recommend changing to the side of the Rhine.

Crispy thin pizza with delicious toppings. Friendly and attentive staff.

The table was free immediately and we were served quickly. This pizzeria is great for a slightly more upscale snack in between, but for me it's more suitable for meeting friends and colleagues than for a first date. The Pizza Italia was delicious, there are a few varieties that are not so common in pizzerias. :) The pizzas are priced at +/- €10 and are approximately 28 or 30 cm in size. Therefore I would say that price performance ratio gets a thumbs up! :) For 5 stars I was missing the “special cloth”. But 4 are also solid. :)

Total failure, when I ordered my pizza was served with ham even though I had ordered a tuna pizza and the cherry on top of the cake was that I was forced to eat it instead of being offered an alternative like a new pizza that I also ordered.

The pizza was okay, but not a highlight. What doesn't work at all, and I agree with numerous reviews, is the behavior of the waiter - an older gentleman with gray hair. This person cannot be surpassed in terms of rudeness and arrogance. We wanted to pay and asked him to say who had to do what (2 people each paid) and what his job was. He was really rude and said we had to figure it out ourselves. You could really tell that he didn't like it. Then he grumpily added it up and now comes the best part - but of course card payments only start at €20. Are we living in 1998? Or are you hoping that the guests will then automatically round up to €20 in order to make another noise? Is it so necessary in Oberkassel? We definitely won't be coming back and don't advise anyone to go there. There are plenty of better alternatives nearby! We advise the waiter (or is it the owner?) to have nothing to do with customers anymore - it's better for everyone involved.

Way too loud. Even though it was Monday, it was fully booked and so noisy that it was impossible to have a conversation. Unfortunately you can't pay by card here - and that in 2024!!!

If you very thin crusted pizzas, this is the place for you. Delicious flavors, great atmosphere and service. Make sure to ask for extra thin.

I can highly recommend this restaurant. The pasta is incredibly good, I don't know anyone nearby that offers better. The prices are okay. There is a lot to choose from and there is something for everyone. You have the option of sitting outside and if it's raining or colder, there's plenty of seating inside too. Card payment is possible. The only thing I noticed was the bad mood of the waiters. Maybe I got it on the wrong day, but there wasn't friendly service that day.

Good clear Italian cuisine for pizza and pasta

Service very unfriendly, rude and cheeky! If you pay a €44 bill and a €6 tip, you'll be looked at strangely and won't even say thank you! This is about the slim black-haired rude guy! Very outrageous and with a semi-good quality of food. Good thing we have good other REAL Italians in OBK…

The waiter debited my bank card for 40 Euros even though the amount of the bill was 35.50 Euros... he fraudulently gave himself a tip of 4.50 Euros! This is clearly theft and unacceptable, especially since I hadn't seen anything and gave him a 3 Euro tip in cash... However, it's a restaurant we go to quite regularly; defrauding customers, it may work once, but it is not tolerable and it is really very serious. Check your bill carefully when paying.

You want to grab wine on Friday evening when most of tables are free but you are greeting replay “it’s pizzeria place”. No respect at all

The best Italian I have ever tasted. It was full and there must be a reason. It is cheap even compared to Spain, the only thing is the water costs 8 euros a bottle but that is something in all of Europe except Spain. They take care of you very well. The pizzas are thin dough and are very delicious, I recommend the Funghi. The house tortelini are spectacular and the Napoli spaghetti too. You can't leave there without trying the Tiramisu... delicious.

Unfortunately we were very disappointed! The pizza is good as always, but we ordered caprese to take away, which consisted of five slices of tomato, carelessly with a huge lettuce leaf in the middle to fill the plate, some mozzarella, almost no basil, no oil, no vinegar , no salt and no pepper And that for €11.50. An Insalata Capriciosa was also delivered to us completely without dressing for €13.50. When you notice so clearly that it's all about the money, it's no fun anymore, we certainly won't be ordering from here anymore.

On a Monday evening at 10:00 p.m. when the tables were not even half full, my girlfriend and I were asked how dare we just order something to drink and not eat anything. I was actually there to eat with my wife today. (But we left again). We were treated very rudely with an annoying tone, and the gentleman (the one with the glasses) was very aggressive towards me and my wife. At the table, this menu was simply thrown onto a plate. Then it was over for us. Never again and will recommend everyone not to visit this store again.

Pizzeria Fratelli is an absolute gem! From the moment we entered the restaurant we felt warmly welcomed and like we were at home with good friends. The ambience is cozy and authentically Italian, which immediately creates a welcoming atmosphere. The staff is extremely friendly, attentive and always willing to make recommendations. The service was quick and efficient without us ever feeling rushed. Every bite of our meal was a delight. The pizzas at Fratelli are simply outstanding. The dough is perfectly thin and crispy, just as it should be. The ingredients are fresh and of the highest quality, which you can taste in every bite. The Margherita and the Quattro Stagioni in particular are absolute highlights and taste just like in Italy. The other dishes on the menu, such as the homemade pastas and the delicious antipasti, are also first class and show the attention to detail and passion for good food that goes into Fratelli's kitchen. The wine selection is excellent and offers something for every taste, from light white wines to strong red wines. Our dinner was perfectly rounded off with a bottle of the recommended Chianti. All in all, Pizzeria Fratelli is the perfect place for a relaxed evening with friends or a romantic dinner for two. Everything is just right here: the food, the service and the atmosphere. We will definitely be coming back soon and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to enjoy authentic Italian cuisine at the best quality.

Pasta is out of this world. Cannot recommend the carbonara enough. it is a MUST. Prices are fair and they also host a terrace during summer.

A disastrous dining experience at Pizzeria Fratelli As a solo diner, I often find that eating alone provides the perfect opportunity to judge the true quality of a restaurant's service. Unfortunately, my recent visit to Pizzeria Fratelli was nothing but a nightmare. From the moment I walked in it was clear that customer service was not a priority. The restaurant was full, but that is no excuse for the miserable treatment I received. The owner's rudeness was shocking and set the tone for the entire evening. Getting served at all felt like a herculean task. I had to repeatedly raise my arm just to get someone's attention, feeling more like I was in a classroom than a restaurant. When I finally managed to order, I practically had to beg for a drink. The lack of attention continued throughout the meal. After my food was served, no one asked if I needed a second helping or if everything was OK. After eating, I sat for what felt like ages (at least 10 minutes) before I had to flag someone down again, this time for a simple coffee. The final straw came when I was presented with the bill instead of the coffee I wanted, accompanied by a flood of insolence from the owner. His rude behavior was so egregious that it overshadowed any positive qualities the food might have had. In summary, Pizzeria Fratelli spectacularly fails to provide even the most basic level of hospitality. The rudeness of the owner coupled with the inattention of the staff makes for an experience I wouldn't wish on anyone. I can say with certainty that I will never return and I strongly advise others not to visit this place. Ladies and Gentlemen If you are on foot in Oberkassel with your family in the evening and would like to have a delicious meal, I ask you to avoid this “restaurant” immediately. Apparently a quality ITALIAN with disgustingly unfriendly employees, especially the gentleman with short hair & black reading glasses. A friend and I spontaneously wanted to dine at Fratelli today after a walk at the Rhine fair and round off the evening. After asking several times whether there was a place available for two, they tried to force us onto the narrow wooden benches on the left side with a strange couple. This space is only possible for 4 people. My girlfriend and I couldn't sit there. These statements were made in a strange and laughable voice by the waiter described above. The situation was very humiliating. Never never never again!!! Sinan Fidan.

Had a delicious meal here yesterday. Friendly service and while you wait for your food you get some bread on the house. Pizza Hawaii and the pasta were delicious. (Spaghetti fratelli & penne quattro formaggi) Even though it was very busy due to the fair in Dusseldorf, the food was still delivered very quickly (+-20 minutes). Prices are also very reasonable. 71.50 for 4 people food including drinks.

We were allowed to wait 60 minutes for penne and still pay full price. The communication that the kitchen was closed due to a large order only came about after two requests. Just say it beforehand and we would have gone somewhere else The food itself was normal.

Incredible shop, noodles were raw and overly spicy in the Indian style, antipasti was cold and tasteless, both meals were immediately complained about and removed from the table in an unpleasant manner, but 1 meal was still billed and paid for immediately because we just didn't feel like it had to discuss further. The shop only deserves half a star with its restless atmosphere, arrogant staff and bad food.

By far the best penne arabiata i have ever eaten

We are frequent guests at the Fratelli and each time we end up very satisfied. An uncomplicated, Italian restaurant in Oberkassel with tasty cuisine. If you want something a little more unusual, simply order something from the sophisticated daily/weekly menu. The service is courteous and very friendly. See you next time...

I've never made a reservation at a restaurant and dressed up only to be seated in front of a wall where you're not even sitting opposite each other. There were several tables still free, even for two people, but we probably weren't important enough and got the worst place. Some of the other tables were still free for over an hour. It was also very tight and my back quickly hurt because of the sitting position. The food itself was very tasty, except for the bread for the starter. That was so hard, I put it right back down. First and last visit.

Very disrespectful staff! We made a reservation for 7 people and our table was occupied by two other guests at the agreed time. Two of us then had to stand and because it was so narrow, they were forced to stand in the aisle. The staff was also rude to them and when we asked when our table would finally be free, they only got annoyed answers. We can't rate the food because we waited 20 minutes and then left. When we left we were insulted by a waiter. Never experienced anything so outrageous!

Went there for lunch today and everyone had pizza. The three different pizzas were all very good, thin dough, plenty of toppings. You really don't have to wait long to eat, the waiters are attentive. One drawback that the waiter had, regardless of whether it was the wine glass or the pizza, was that he always passed everything completely across the table instead of going around the table. There's nothing to say about the food except that it tastes great. But why it performs so poorly in comparison really comes down to the service. Plates are pulled out from under your nose even though you were still eating and even the bottle of water was emptied into a random glass in front of our eyes before it was taken away too. The motto is clear: eat and leave quickly - that's exactly how you'll be treated. It's actually a shame because they deserved more. In my opinion, the tables are much too close to each other; sometimes you sit at a table with strangers and can overhear conversations. 😬
