I discovered this restaurant two days ago. I happened to have an appointment nearby and only had a drink there and found it very appealing for dining (or so I thought two days ago). Yesterday I went there for dinner with my sister. We were asked if we had a table reservation, which we said no. The rows are arranged so that there's a two-seater at the front and a four-seater at the back, but actually everyone is almost together. They showed us that the row was free, so we sat at the other end because it was a bit brighter and a bit more comfortable there, as the first table at the front is on the sidewalk, so basically everyone walks past your food (way too close). Then this waiter came and told us no, we had to sit at the first table because the one we were sitting at was for four people (in this wannabe good restaurant, you go with the guests). We then sat down at the first table, and he quickly wiped away the last crumbs and plates, cups, and everything else lying there with a rag. Unhygienic, unappetizing, and so on. When I ordered the food, he also expressed his ignorance: "Unfortunately, I have an intolerance, which is due to spicy food. Spices and so on. I asked him about it, yes, spaghetti peperoncini, that's not spicy. (Don't make me laugh) he should work at a snack bar. I don't know if he could handle the different spices of currywurst there. Well, since I noticed this, I said, okay, then I'll have spaghetti with tomatoes, sauce, and prawns with Parmesan. Pine nuts were also nice. (No, we don't have any pine nuts.) The spaghetti with tomatoes, sauce, and Parmesan and prawns tasted good. (But for this far too high price, that's no justification at all.) My sister had a zander fillet with wasabi puree (with fried onions from a jar sprinkled over it?) with fennel. (The fish was extremely greasy, as it was probably fried swimming in fat. It wasn't leftovers, but rather fried flavors. (It was okay. (Only later this year, I felt a heavy stomach for the fish, which it actually isn't, probably because of the way it was prepared.) This dish, too, doesn't justify the price for this method of preparation. Dessert: chocolate cake with a liquid center of vanilla ice cream. Top! (Finally, something that deserves the price) Tarte Tatin (A French apple pie, you can't really go wrong with that.) But this was the highlight. I think it was deep-fried in full fat or baked warm and then poured over with thick, fat-rich caramel sauce from a bottle (there are so many original recipes. Maybe the chef should download one). And the real highlight comes now: as I said, we were accommodated. I asked again because two ladies came after us. They were allowed to sit at the table for four, where we had to stand up. As an apology, it was said that all the two-person tables had to be occupied first so that we could then occupy the four-person tables (there was a two-person table free behind me, I don't know, maybe it's based on age or some other appearance, otherwise I can't imagine why this uneducated Kerner, along with the boss and staff, were so overbearing with the guests in front of them, i.e. with us. They wanted to smooth things over by offering us a drink. My comment that it wouldn't help, but it didn't. I've now been to this restaurant twice, the first and last time in the same day, as the many four-person tables were no longer occupied after we left, neither inside, outside nor in the courtyard.

One of the few hotels you can truly recommend with a clear conscience, because everything here is just right. Escaped from the hustle and bustle of Carlsplatz, just a few minutes' walk away, you'll find a true oasis with top-notch quality and excellent service.

We usually love eating here...but today? A grumpy waiter with no interest in our food. No menu on the table, not even a question about whether we needed one. We're glad we at least got a drink. Every greeting at the MC.D. drive-in is friendlier. What a pity.

The restaurant looks chic, the waitress was very friendly. Dogs are welcome here. The price-performance ratio is not justified. The rump steak costs almost €40, but the grams are not specified. The meat was quite rare, and they didn't ask if it should be medium or rare. I think the steak was 150 grams. The side dish was very small, about four sliced fried triplets. That was it. The pasta with chanterelle mushrooms was okay, but unfortunately the sauce was very watery, probably due to the mushrooms. The beef tips weren't particularly tasty. The dish was €27/€28. The price is not justified for the quantity and quality. The dishes were served.

The service is very attentive and friendly, and the restaurant has a charming decor. Unfortunately, it's not at all vegetarian-friendly; I had to search very carefully for the one or two dishes they offer. I would suggest a vegetarian section on the menu. Also, the portions weren't particularly large, and I didn't feel full afterward. But the food itself is very tasty.

The pizzas were truly delicious! The service was super friendly and attentive. However, I expect more than 3.5 slices for a pizza with *extra* green pepper.

This is a place 10/10. We celebrated our little civil wedding of around 18 people and they gave us the best service! We also could take out little chihuahua, and that counts a lot. Will come back without any doubt!

Menu contains of enough meals to leep everyone satisfied. Dishes where delivered with the blink of an eye and food was delicious while service was nice. I very much would come back.

Exceptionally good. My seating was a bit cramped, and it was a bit noisy because there was a birthday party going on in the next room. But the food was fantastic. And the service was attentive and friendly. Parking wasn't a problem, but it was expensive. The meat was tender and cooked as requested. Beautifully presented. The bread came with a dip. Sashimi was delicious, and the gnocci were just like mom's.

The restaurant is not bad, the portions are large, everything was brought quickly. The waitress is very nice and friendly. The schnitzel was a bit salty.

A few days ago we had dinner in this restaurant. As soon as we entered, we were warmly welcomed by a lady of the house who greeted us in a friendly manner and - despite not having a reservation - accompanied us straight to a free table. The rest of the service was also consistently friendly and attentive. What is particularly positive is how patient the employees remained even in an unpleasant situation when a guest at the neighboring table wanted to provoke with a €5 tip - as an observer, this was already very unpleasant. The food was extremely tasty and left nothing to be desired. However, the look into the kitchen when leaving the restaurant - the door was open - was unfortunately very sobering. Of course, it's understandable that not everything can be sparkling clean after a long day, but the condition of the stove and work surfaces seemed so unhygienic that I felt sick and the rest of the evening was filled with doubts. This shouldn't happen in a restaurant - just as you wouldn't want to see an untidy operating room in a hospital. Because of the very good food and the friendly service, I would have liked to give it 5 stars. However, because of the unacceptable kitchen situation, I decided to give it 4 stars.

Very tasty restaurant in the middle of Carlstadt. The lunch menu is really varied and the food comes very quickly! I had the tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms. The dish actually comes with beef, but they are very open to adjustments in the food if you are vegetarian/vegan. Just speak to the staff. Everyone is very friendly and accommodating!

We went to essen gegen 13:00 und chose this Restaurant because the Menu looked good and the prices were good, but when we were there at the Restaurant the Menu or Karte showed prices that were so more expensive. We asked why the prices were more expensive, and they told us that because is Sunday we become the Abendessen Menu ( der more expensive is). At the End that was no fair because we made a Reservation and they did not warn us. Also when we ask why the prices were more expensive the woman was no friendly at all ( Is the Woman who charges). In the website you should write that on Sunday at 13:00 Uhr the clients will be charge according to the Abendessen Menu which more expensive is.

The guest room is invitingly romantic. The food is fantastically delicious. However, the prices are too high. For a schnitzel that weighs a maximum of 80g, you pay €30. What is not possible, however, is offering drinks in 0.2l bottles. This is a restaurant and not a bar. In addition, these bottles are grossly overpriced. So in the end the drinks are half as expensive as the food.

I'm usually hesitant to write negative reviews, but my experience at Be-Lucca yesterday was so disappointing that I have to share it. Maybe it will help improve future experiences. I know the restaurant for its high quality and excellent service. But last night, on a busy Saturday, I experienced something completely different. I understand that the service can be stressful, but my criticism relates to differences in quality, which should not be acceptable in a restaurant of this caliber. I ordered an Argentinian beef fillet (medium rare) with truffle pasta on the side, while my friend ordered the same with vegetables and potatoes. However, what we received was swapped: I got the steak with vegetables, she got just three potatoes. After correction in service, my fillet was significantly different than my friend's. As someone who knows meat well, I noticed that it wasn't a real fillet cut, but rather a side cut, which shouldn't be sold in a restaurant. The meat was almost cooked through, stringy and tough, with uneven doneness due to the misshapen cut surface. My friend's fillet, on the other hand, was perfectly medium rare and of high quality. I informed the service about the problem and asked for a replacement dish as the carpaccio truffle pasta that my friend's boyfriend ordered was always excellent. Instead I received disappointment. The dish looked and tasted nothing like usual. The slices of meat were misshapen, gray and apparently leftovers, while the carpaccio on the surrounding tables looked red and finely sliced. In addition, the fresh truffle was missing and there was only a minimal amount of parmesan. After that experience, I was too disappointed to speak up again. I ate it because I was hungry and because my friends were already finished. Despite my resilient stomach from traveling in Asia, I later had a stomach ache. I hope that this incident is an exception, as I have always appreciated my favorite Italian restaurant. However, I am now unsure whether I will come back soon.

We really enjoy going to Be Lucca. It is always very busy, even during the week, which is why we would recommend making a reservation. The noodles are perfect & we can also 100% recommend the schnitzel. Portions are very sufficient and large.

We had a family dinner with 4, food was really nice, pike fish, salmon, schnitzel and the kalf lever , very decent portions without being too much. Service was good, fast and friendly. Location is nice, just a bit to the side of the center and the busy streets. Maybe slightly more expensive but you for the quality and it’s worthy

As a tourist, it is not easy for me to find such cozy corners as most of the places are designed for quick food.🤗I didn't find this place right away, I had to go around many places that focus on french fries, hamburgers and steaks , but this place is directly European and the atmosphere in it is unique❤️‍🔥

We were there for the second time last Saturday for our small Christmas party with 9 people in the vaulted cellar. After we were able to experience excellent food and a super nice atmosphere in the vaulted cellar around 5 years ago, I didn't think twice and was not disappointed again. The boss had recommended starter variations to us that were really exceptionally tasty and the main courses were also really impressive and tasted really good. All the employees were enthusiastic and we spent a few lovely hours there. It's not exactly cheap, but good quality also has its price and it was worth it to me :-)

If you decide to go out for an Italian meal, Biluca is the right choice. I've often eaten at be-lucca in the evenings, and since I personally love pasta, I often ordered pasta there. And every time I was thrilled and extremely satisfied. Recently I was there with my girlfriend and she had pasta with carpaccio. She was also thrilled. Our visit to this restaurant is always a very pleasant experience. The food is excellent, the atmosphere is upscale, and the staff is incredibly friendly. You just feel completely comfortable. The furnishings and tables are always extremely clean, and the atmosphere makes you feel right at home. I can really only recommend this restaurant.

The restaurant and the furnishings exude a cozy atmosphere and give you a promising welcome. Unfortunately then it stops. The food, both the starter and the main course, were attractively presented, but tasted rather ordinary and bland. The command seemed overwhelmed and unmotivated. Too bad.

We were at the Be-Lucca in Düsseldorf with seven people on the occasion of my birthday, and I am simply speechless and deeply disappointed! My girlfriend had ordered a beautiful birthday cake with “Happy Birthday” written on it from a pastry shop to surprise me at the end of the evening. But what happened next is absolutely unbelievable to me: the restaurant owner actually charged EUR 5 per piece to serve us the cake we had already paid for! We paid more than 400 EUR for the meal and still the owner refused to bring us the cake without any additional charge! I have never experienced anything like this in the gastronomy world in Düsseldorf and I am stunned by this audacity and lack of hospitality. Such disrespectful behavior would be unthinkable from a real Italian, the owner is Albanian!

The food was ok, the service was good and the atmosphere - especially in the winter garden - was pleasant. Quite busy at lunchtime and would recommend making a reservation in advance.

It was our first time at be lucca. Very attentive service, excellent food and drinks. We sat in the front, modern area. The back room is a bit more rustic. There is also a chic outdoor area in front of the restaurant. We'll be back!

I've always enjoyed going to Be-Lucca, but yesterday I was extremely annoyed with the service. After much thought, I decided that it should be mentioned. In principle, especially in an upscale restaurant, the request for a tip should not be forced if the waiter's service was rude and unsympathetic and we deliberately did not want to give a tip. A repeat visit is currently out of the question for us.

Was in the lower Carlsstadt again this afternoon. As always, everything was super delicious. It's a pleasure. The veal liver was fried to perfection and the risotto with chanterelles was well seasoned. I'd love to come back.

Absolutely excellent food. The slightly higher prices are appropriate for this. The service was a little too quick for me when it came to refills. And the food came very quickly after ordering. You get the feeling that you want to occupy the table again as quickly as possible. But the restaurant was only half full.

Ambiance is great! Service was good and friendly. Of course I can only rate what we ate. Goat cheese salad a bit overpriced. This sweetened balsamic dressing from the bottle should not be on it. The salad dressing was fresh, tasty and would have been enough. Goat cheese Creamy, but not enough for the price. The tuna sashimi was fresh and highly recommended. I think it's fair value for money here. Unfortunately, the truffle pasta with carpaccio was far too expensive. The pasta was dripping in truffle oil! You could expect a little more for fresh truffles (summer truffles would be enough) given the price. The veal liver was great and for that price I would order two portions. At the end of the day it was a bit overpriced for what was delivered. At €60 per person the menus should be clean.

Price performance absolutely does not match here👎. Food was an absolute disaster. I ordered the Wienerschnitzel, everything else but no schnitzel, the side dishes Drilinge and salad, the potatoes were cold and the salad with soggy old tomatoes. I haven't experienced anything like that in a really long time. The waitress was absolutely not interested in why we returned the plates almost full. This restaurant cannot be recommended at all 👎 save yourself the trouble and go eat somewhere else for the money.

A very nice restaurant, bigger than expected. Very friendly and professional staff. And nice for us, coincidentally also a Dutch-speaking hostess. Small but very nice terrace, not too busy and located in a very quiet street. I had spaghetti with truffles and beef carpaccio. You can immediately smell the truffle aroma - a dream. Well presented and very tasty! Bread with dip was served with it. The service was also very nice and I got an espresso on the house. Great location not far from Carlsplatz. The prices are high but the quality also lives up to it. Food was ok, but not for the price. There was next to no service. We weren't asked if we wanted anything else to drink for two hours (it wasn't full). Toilets adequate, but not good. Dining table was not clean. At the end we also had to look for someone to pay for...admittedly, the staff preferred to watch football on TV...

Exceptionally tasty dishes - there were three of us - lovingly prepared. From zander fillet to goat cheese thaler to asparagus ravioli and pink fried tuna steak, it's a real treat. We are already looking forward to the next time.
